Negative stars for the pharmacy. My husband just tried to pick up seizure meds for our dog and they told him it looked counterfeit. She voided it and wouldn't give it back. Now we have to drive 40 minutes to Costco Vista to get our dog life saving medicine. He's had 3 seizures in 24 hours. No sympathy. White blonde with glasses. My husband is Hispanic. Don't know what happened to the customer service at the pharmacy but it has went to poop. There's a girl that works there with a haircut like a short bob and red and I've dealt with her three times and I'm not impressed. The only person that I'm impressed with is Tyler he is always very kind very professional and when he says he's gonna get something done, he does it. Overall I was impressed with Walgreens, I had to go in there on a Sunday to pick up a prescription for my wife because her Pharmacy is not open on Sundays so I am grateful that Walgreens wasn't in fact open didn't have the medication only had to wait 35 to 45 minutes very impressed. My only complaint would be they knew Walgreens payment system with their new credit card machines are very difficult to maneuver even the employees we're having a difficult time so maybe something a little more simple. read more

Worst experience at a Walgreens because of the male store manager. He doesn't care to help out the customers at Walgreens and doesn't follow Walgreens policies. His employee rolled her eyes (white Caucasian) as I came in. As the manager comes out to "assist" He didn't care to make any eye contact or even acknowledge me but rather seemed bothered from the start. When it came down to what I needed help for he sent me away and said there is nothing I can do. He was extremely unprofessional, lazy, & a sad excuse for a manager :/ I've been in management for 15 years and I've never been so embarrassed for a company. I come here often whether it is for med's, photo's, greeting cards or candy. I do enjoy going down the seasonal aisle. Each time I come here the cashier and the front are very helpful and friendly. My visit the other day was to retake my passport photo. I had taken my passport photo here. The passport photo was mailed in along with he paperwork needed. A few weeks later the photo, paperwork and a letter stating that the photo was not acceptable. It failed to mention the reason why. So I mentioned the situation as I was getting ready for the photo and I believe it may have been the manager that overheard my conversation. Both employees were baffled and surprised. They never had an issue before. Without hesitation the manager informed the employee to ring up my photo at have price and on top of that printed out a $10 off coupon (had to purchase something $10 or greater, which was fine since I needed to get a card). So I basically got the photo free. They showed me the app that they use for the passport photo before printing it out and handing it to the customer. They follow the guidlines. I didn't find anything wrong with the first passport photo. Crossing my finger that this photo will suffice. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.. it's only the second time I have attempted to get a prescription filled in the Fallbrook Walgreens.. The pharmacy employee was still there and refused to go back inside to fill my daughter's prescription. She was suffering excruciating pain from a surgery. She said call the 24 hour store to get the prescriptions. I drove there and was told that they could not fill the prescriptions because they were "billed out to the Fallbrook pharmacy. I had a prescription sent here because it was on the VAs list of connected pharmacies when I got to this location I was told that they have zero affiliation with the VA and they handed me a pamphlet for a list of apps that would help me get discounted medications, I left and called the VA to tell them this Walgreens was giving me a hard time so they provided me with different information to give them, I called this Walgreens back and what seemed to me to be an older woman answered the phone, she continuously cut me off as I was trying to give information to her and kept telling me that they don't work with the VA immediately following my conversation with the VA when they told me this location is a VA connected pharmacy.... Needed a Covid-19 PCR test - went to Walgreens that offers via the drive-through window because they had the soonest appointment window. Sat in the 6-deep line for about 30 minutes. Took the test Tuesday. 48 hours later Thursday, the results site still says this: Sample 8######## has not been received at our laboratory.   Samples are typically shipped via overnight delivery to the laboratory.   Shipping delays and weekend shipping schedules may delay receipt in the laboratory   (Sat/Sun collections are most likely to be delayed beyond next day delivery)   Please allow for transit time and check back later or verify the requisition number.   Samples received greater than 60 days ago are no longer available on this portal. I ended up buying the self-test from Abbott Labs - both samples came back negative in 15 minutes. They aren't as accurate but helpful to relieve some of the stress. I was tested once at one of the county mobile testing sites and had the results the next day. Suggest using that instead - even if you need to wait a day for the appointment you'll likely still have the results earlier. read more

Walgreen's in Fallbrook totally failed the appointment my wife and I had with them for shingles vaccination shots this morning. We had made the appointment with Walgreen's Pharmacy in Fallbrook online, two days prior. But when we got there--and after waiting about 20 minutes to be waited on--the employee at the counter just shrugged and told us that they are all out of the vaccine, "But no problem, just come back tomorrow." Yeah, no problem for her, she'll be there at work regardless. My wife and I are the ones that just wasted 40 minutes each driving their and back, which we'll have to do again, of course, to finally get our shots. No apology, no sense from the Walgreen's employee that she and Walgreen's just failed the appointment we had mutually agreed upon. When Walgreen's Fallbrook Pharmacy ran out of the vaccine they had agreed to provide at our appointment, did it occur to anyone there to call the customers with appointments to tell them not to waste their time coming in because they ran out of medicine? New staff in Pharmacy are rude and do not care if you get your prescription or not. I have been dealing with them on an RX that was accidentally thrown away to get it refilled. The doctors office called them to approve the early fill. They say every day that they don't have his auth for early cash pay refill. It really is disappointing that these new people are not helpful at all. Old staff before COVID were great always helpful and proactive. I was told yesterday that they were going to call first thing today but rude Pharmacist said there are no notes that I have called any of the 3 times I called. From 5 years ago back 16 years ago I traveled frequently for my career. I have been to more than 3 dozen walgreens nation wide. All but 2 have been a consistent level of excellence. This walgreens in fallbrook ties for WORST walgreens ever! Most hostile pharmacy technicians anywhere. The heavy Latino woman always behaves like it's the customer's fault she is unhappy with her work. She has a sour disposition. She is dismissively snarky. She is usually apathetic. She fumbles with store software. I hate coming here when she is on duty. Chris, the pharmacist, is almost as pleasant and personable as other walgreens pharmacists but seems to toil under policies or culture unique to this location. He is kind to the elderly. The pharmacist manager (not store manager) has zero through. Time to retrain staff on software. No matter how many times they confirm auto refills are in effect the next time I checked they are not. 0 stars The waiting area is waaaaaay too close to the counter. 1 stars Store itself puts chocolate on sale when the oils have leached to the surface. Felt the need to leave a review for Walgreens pharmacy in Fallbrook after a pharmacy employee really went out of her way to help me. My Dad usually uses Rite Aid pharmacy across the street. He underwent oral surgery the day I visited and I had come into town from Anaheim to help him very late because it had unexpectedly not gone well. I had to fill 2 scrips for him, and it was already 8:15pm when I arrived. I ran to Rite Aid to fill them and when I got there the pharmacist had already rolled the doors down and was not to be bothered and told me he couldn't fill the scrip. He told me to try CVS down the street. Knowing it was already late, I ran to CVS and was told there also that they would not fill it until 3 days later (which was useless since my Dad was at home with a bloody-gauze filled mouth and in pain). They suggested I call CVS in Oceanside the next day but they also said they wont tell me over the phone f they have the meds either. I was told to give him Tylenol, as if that would work after a 4 tooth extraction. Since SavOn Pharmacy is in the same lot, I ran over there but they were already closed. Walgreens was literally my last hope, so I drove there and walked in the door at 8:50pm. I HATE doing this to employees, I really do. But Diane (or Diana) helped me and also offered to call the doctor to make the scrip workable so I could get my Dad some pain relief that very night. She did what no other pharmacy in town would do, and she did it with just minutes to spare before closing. Because of her, I was able to provide my Dad with adequate pain relief and get him through the first 48 hours successfully. I am very grateful for her help and wonderful service. read more

I am appalled by the power given to whatever pharmacist is on duty to decide whether your MD's perfectly written Rx will be filled! I have a very select team of oncologist & pain management treating my advanced cancer of which I'll likely succumb to in the next 12-18mo and the 2MD are in No California & Reno (I lived in Truckee where there were no pain mngt anesthesia specialists but were close to Reno! I am NOT on any C2 narcotics at all but 2 other dose medications that have not been increased or filled anywhere but Walgreens for 2 years! Today the snarky pharmacist at WG fallbrook informed me she'd no longer fill these perfectly legal Rx by my current MDs & told me to get a local MD! Why??? There is no legal reason whatsoever (I checked with a lawyer to be sure). This is just what she prefers! I'm dying & she wants me to wait 4-6 mo for a new patient consult locally because WHY??? I'm sick of these power hungry pharmacist making up their own rules as they go...based on what? Whether they know you? Like you? Care if you die? Just noticed there were low stars here. I use this pharmacy often and it's honestly the quickest one I've used before. The pharmacies where I live in Oside take longer and this one seems to be about 20-30 minutes and my orders are always ready. Just wanted to offset the low reviews as I feel this is one of the best. I've been using this pharmacy for about five years and I am pleased with the service and the pharmacy staff. I previously had my prescriptions filled at Rite-Aid but found that they were much more expensive than Walgreens. I get my flu and other shots from Walgreens and it's so easy and quick (and painless). read more
