I think the main reason most people go to Walgreens is to get their prescriptions filled. Long gone are the days when customers would frequent this place to find much coveted, scarce items such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer (thank goodness!). Given that, you'd think that they would run a tight ship in the pharmacy, churning out prescriptions like a well oiled machine with quickness and ease. But lately it seems like there's nothing quick or easy about picking up a prescription. At this point I'd say that there's at least a 50% chance of something going awry, ranging anywhere from an inordinately long wait time to no prescription at all, or a combination of both. This hasn't always been the case though. When I first started using this pharmacy my satisfaction level was much higher. The way I remember it, hiccups were few and far between. Looking back, I definitely took for granted the efficient service I once enjoyed. Fortunately, the rest of the goods and services they offer have never been problematic. But, because I don't often go inside the store to utilize them, those carry less weight in my rating. read more

They like to occasionally rip you off by not running an Rx through your insurance. Even if that insurance is on file and has been used a dozen times before for that exact same medication. They then just shrug, say it is your fault not theirs for not catching their mistake ( this was an auto-refill, deliver to the home Rx so not like I was at the counter and they told me it was $400 extra this time ) and then tell you to take it up with the insurance company. When you then file a complaint with corporate they just send you a generic form email about what they will put in place to prevent it from happening in the future to another customer without doing anything to actually help get the hundreds of $ back they just overcharged you. read more

I've had several encounters here; snack shopping, pharmacy pick-up, online high volume photo pickup, and passport photos. Pharmacy encounter was my least favorite due to the wait, but it's a popular and convenient location, so if you don't want the wait for same-day scripts, I recommend going to a less convenient location. The store is well stocked and clean, great for quick snack or convenience shopping! Photo pickup is easy... but pro tip: if you order more than, say, 50 - tell them approximately (or exactly?) how many photos you had printed, otherwise they'll say they don't have your order because the large orders aren't kept in the alphabetically organized order bins. Passport photos are quick and affordable! You can also use this service for badge photos, just tell them the requirements of your employer. In general, this Walgreens does okay! read more

I received a text the other day asking if I wanted my heart medication refilled. Replied with a yes. We went to pick up the med today and when we got home we realized that the pharmacist had refilled a different medication than what I was taking and what was texted to be refilled. The medication I received was one that my doctor had prescribed, but took me off quickly because of the side effects. I called the pharmacy, but they told me I could not get a refund. So they screwed up, but they get to keep the money. When asked why/how they had refilled the medication I had stopped and had turned down when texted about refills previously, they could not say how the refill order got mixed up. When asked about the medication that was supposed to be refilled, they had to activate the refill button (or whatever it is they do) on the spot while speaking with them, and told me it would be ready tomorrow. As it happened, my husband needed to have his own medication refilled, and earlier had discovered that a program that he was registered in with the drug manufacturer was expired, and he learned that his copay would revert back to $160.00. He called the manufacturer's 800 number, and was able to get rerigistered. They told him that it should appear automatically when he returned to the Walgreen's. So with an hour to go before closing on Saturday evening, we headed back for his med and a little more hashing up about mine. The pharmacist looked him up again, but still announced that his copay would be $160.00. We had to make her check again before she found that the copay had gone down to $10.00. We asked if my refill was ready, and it was. (It had better have been; it was a pre-packaged allotment from the manufacturer, complete with foil seal, cotton ball and the dessicant cylinder.) And we were finally able to get another pharmacist to put a refund back onto my card. Check your bottles and check the paperwork before you leve the counter, but you should probably do that at any pharmacy. and if there is trouble, it helps to go back in person instead of being shrugged of by telephone. read more

The workers here think that I am up to no good because I used the bathroom more than once today. Beware when trying to go there. They will watch your every move like it's a military base. It's a public bathroom meaning anyone can use it. The older Indian guy and young white girl (manager) who looks 50 have very bad attitudes. read more

Pharmacy staff must have a huge turnover. Pharmacists don't want to provide assistance when it comes to finding other avenues to save on prescriptions even when asked if they can help by looking it up on GoodRx or other software right there on their computer. That used to be a service provided in the past but now it's against company policy according to the pharmacist. CVS and Neighborhood Walmart in Flowermound continue to provide those extra services without being asked. They add syringes to medication without being asked either. Very unfortunate that Walgreens in Flowermound is heading downhill. read more

The drive thru pharmacy is the worst ever. slow (45+ Minute wait even when you are first in line? really) The customer service is horrible and the pharmacy people are downright rude. This branch is poorly managed with undertrained people. The service has worsened over the years. I go there only because it is close to my home - which doesn't mean much when you wait so long. Our prescription was sent ahead by the doctors office. We stopped in at Walgreens around 40 minutes later to pick up the prescription. It was not ready. We waited for about 20 minutes to get the order filled. The pharmacy was very busy. Lots of cars in the drive thru and people at the counter. And we had a child that we needed get to bed for school the next day. I agree with some of the comments already posted. There are certainly things Walgreens could do to make the place run smoother. But why a 4 star with the problems? Honestly despite my inconveniences I witnessed something awesome. One of the drive through customers was needing an inhaler. The lady working the drive through advised they could not get it for 2 days. After a few minutes she told the customer that she could pick it up the next day during her lunch break and to come back around noon. That's customer service. Nice job! read more

Be aware this pharmacy now closes at 10 pm! My wife had to go to the ER, sent scripts directly to this location from there because it was going to be after 10 pm when most pharmacies are closed. This used to be a 24 hour pharmacy, then they changed to closing at midnight. Went to pickup it up and the Walgreens is still open until midnight but the pharmacy closed at 10 pm. Of course the map app also says they are open until midnight, but nothing about pharmacy closing earlier now. Really annoying when they suddenly make changes like this. Will be looking for a pharmacy that actually wants to provide a service to their customers. read more

Okay, so this is gonna be a long story, not about the whole store but a specific pharmacist at this location. I think it's the right thing to do, and the cashier strongly encouraged me to write this review. So it was close to 10pm and I had to make an emergency stop because my 1 month old son is having nasal congestion. Since I never used a nasal spray before, I was looking for advices out of the fear that I'll misinterpret the instructions and human experiences will always be better than a few words on the label. The cashier came to help me and was friendly, unfortunately, she also never experienced this first hand like myself and recommended me to check with the pharmacy. So it was an Asian looking guy, he was extremely impatient and asked what I need. When I explained that I've never used the spray and is looking for tips. I was interrupted and told that just use it. When I tried to ask him I'm trying to ask someone who may know how to properly use it, he then asked me "did you not read the instructions?" So I asked him if he knew how to use it and if not, is there anyone else at the pharmacy that knows how. Here is the best part of the story, I was told that there is only a 19 year old who knows nothing, and he was the only pharmacist here. I can see that the 19 year old girl wanted come and help, and the pharmacist guy then got even more impatient and said "you know what, I've never used it before and don't know how, you should google it" That's the end of the story, I've never seen such rude, pathetic, disrespectful person in this town. As I'm moving out of the town, I didn't think I was gonna go through the trouble to write this. The cashier strongly encouraged me to do it and thinking not only he was super rude and disrespectful to me who's the customer, he was also doing the same thing to his colleague. There was this strong sense of superiority that was obvious on the dudes face throughout the entire conversation and I still found it funny because I can't figure out how the dude thinks he's superior than me or anyone!! The headache that I woke up with this morning was not letting up and I certainly did not feel like going to one of those big box discount stores to get some Tylenol so I stopped in on this beautiful day to this convenient Walgreens location. I found the store to be well organized and clean. The staff we're all working hard to keep the shelves stocked, labels organized, and store clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and help me get in and out quickly. I did not use the pharmacy but I did notice they were all working very hard. These types of pharmacies tend to be very busy And it is easy for them to get behind so it was refreshing to see them all working and not on their phones or laughing and joking with each other. They were all very task oriented. I would certainly stop in at this location again in the future. read more

The pharmacist on duty on Nov 7 2015. Is very argumentative with his customers and does not allow them to finish their questions or explinations. Very rude, had to pull the store manager in to get this resolved. What should have taken 15 min took over an hour. Arangements for a vaccine had been made the day before. This life treating vaccine MUST be administered on the 3rd day the be followed up on the 7 an 14th day. Would I recommend this store location ........ Only if it was the only location in 100 miles. I went here for my flu shot as it is the company my company chooses to provide the flu shots this year. I provided them a form from my company and they entered the information in their system and asked me to have a seat and someone would be right with me. I waited 2-3 minutes and the pharmacist came out and brought me into a private room and administered the immunization. Very pleasant lady and good experience. I asked her for a recommendation on allergy medication as it was having itchy watery eyes and she provided a recommendation. I shopped a little in the store and they have a great candy section! Purchased some fun candy for Christmas stockings and bought my allergy medication and had a great experience in this pharmacy. read more

Yesterday I went in to get anti-nausea and pain medication for my husband who was (waiting in the car) just released from surgery. What I did not know was that the medication prescribed was not a prescription that can be filled in Texas. I asked what to do next, and the pharmacist said, "GO DRIVE BACK TO OKLAHOMA." What a JERK. Things have been much improved over the past year at this pharmacy!! Idk if they have new management or what! I guess enough people have complained about poor service that things have improved! I can honestly say I REALLY have grown to LIKE this pharmacy!!! I didn't think it was possible!! There is still room for improvement but they have come a LONG WAY!! I have been waiting in the drive thru line behind another vehicle for over 40 minutes. It should not take the staff this much time to accept a prescription drop off and if the customer is waiting for one to be filled then they should've been instructed to wait outside of the drive thru lane. Brought a prescription in that I needed to give to my child by a certain time. Pharmacist said it would take 20 minutes to fill. Okay, I had time to drop it off and come back 2 hours later giving them plenty of time to fill it. Come back and they haven't gone through the process of getting it approved from the insurance company yet then they say, hold on, we need to see if this is in stock. What the heck?! Pharmacy is a joke. Long wait times, often not stocked on meds, multiple communication issues. The customer is told to call every few days for status v the staff calling the customer. Really disappointed this is no longer 24 hr. I used to visit at 6am weekdays avoiding the long crowds. If I need a RX btwn 8a- 8pm I use a CVS down the street. The store-I have had positive, helpful experiences with two women who work there. The rest of the staff needs to be trained on customer service and proper bagging of items. She hired a certified pharm tech...and they had experience.If they are that behind That pharmacists needs to hire more pharm techs....I don't shop there. read more

Love the location but at times the staff is underwhelming. It is hard for me to imagine someone as disengaged from customers as this place. Would you believe I had a terrible experience with... the manager!?!? I get that some employees don't really care about their jobs, but they're usually not management. Chris was rude, curt and anything but helpful. At first I thought he was some disgruntled employee taking out his life frustrations on me. Unfortunately, when I asked to speak to the manager, it was him. To call Chris lazy would be an understatement. To begin with, he was most perturbed that I had the gall to interrupt his social conversation with an employee to ask for help. This was after I had already walked past him three times without him offering. Really? Maybe I should have waited until he had finished recapping his Saturday night. Even though he acknowledged the item I was looking for was in the back, he refused to get it. Literally. His exact words were, "No." When the other employee (Who was actually interested in helping) offered to go look, Chris quickly shut him down. At this point, I had no intention of buying anything from this store, but I did want to get his name. Chris was quite smug with himself when I asked. I guess he was trying to show off.
