It was 9:52 pm. I needed to get a prescription filled. I'm driving up eastern and I call Walgreens. The voice prompt said they're closing at 10. But on a hope and a prayer, I connected to a pharmacist anyway. Cecile answered with "how can I help you be well today?" Clearly she has not been toiling behind the counter all day as her manner was cheerful, crisp and pleasant. In a defeated plea i asked if there's a chance in hell that I could get a script filled. She said get here as quick as you can and I'll take care of you. I pull in a few moments later and she reaches for my prescription without saying a word. After all, we had already connected on the phone. With a smile, she asks for my insurance and efficiently clicks me into the system. Then she hustles to the med isles and starts to her thing. It's now after 10 pm. Then another employee walks over to the screen and spots trouble - rejection! "Do you have another form of insurance?" And "may I see your card again sir" come in rapid succession. Both answers were unfruitful. "Let me call your insurance." I feel a little imposing now as this is not the kind of gig where they get OT. Cecile fills my prescription anyway - just in case. The pharmacist gets off the phone and says "you're good." You have an outdated card. Another should be coming in the mail. Moments later, I'm on my way. The manager has to let me out and the lights go out as I exit. Money!!!! Great job Walgreens! It's not easy to create that kind of experience for your customers. read more

This store is very not coupon-friendly. The do not know the difference between per purchase vs per transaction. The beauty cashier Sierra is very ignorant regarding coupons. She wouldn't take a manufacturer's coupon because they are "paper." Aren't coupons papers? I just wish they will have a crash course about coupon verbiage. read more

I have used this pharmacy many times for myself. My son is one month old, this is the first prescription I've filled for him. When I went to pick it up, they said they didn't have it under his name but they have one under my name. I didn't have one so I knew it was for my son and that was not a problem. But just to make sure, I asked what the med was for, and she said it was for me, and I asked if it was for infants. And she said it was for (repeated my name). That doesn't seem right or safe. I told her never mind just give it to me and I'll look up the med myself. Because I got that attitude, I was done with that conversation, I could tell she also got an attitude and then told me to "just hold on then." And helped three cars before coming back to me and saying yes it's for my son, not me. And then the pharmacist got on the speaker and asked if I had any questions. I just have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to pharmacist Phillip!!! I had been out of town and needed prescriptions filled for an out of state surgery. I submitted them on a Saturday and they needed verification. He assured me he will call first thing Monday so I could catch my plane that night for surgery the next day. By 10am I received the kindest phone call letting me know he was working on the medications and would have them ready by 11am so I could make my flight. He also wished me well for the upcoming surgery. This kind of service and thoughtfulness is so over the top. Waiting patiently for my photos. The young employee, Devon, has many clients all at once. One of them, an Asian lady, is absorbing lots of his time. Devon, the employee, is very friendly and helpful. Everyone of those customers should write a favorable review. By far Devon is the friendliest and most hardworking employee on the floor. The clients take advantage of Devon. Went here when the CVS on Horizion and Eastern was unable to fill a prescription. We were so very impressed with this pharmacy we are switching from CVS. Unlike the CVS, the staff here are caring, efficient and professional. read more

Not the usual Walgreens we use for our perscription needs but was in the area and decided to drop off and wait for my perscription. The lady at the counter was helpful and my meds were ready in less than 15 minutes. Also was able to get a free 2 liter of soda because they forgot to ask if I needed my flu shot. read more

My dog just had surrey so needed a hot compress. Went to the pharmacy to ask which one they recommended and Dr. Roesenthal came out and picked it for me and even double checked for the right size. Hey Depot I just want to let you know I come to this Walgreen every day and I buy my cigarettes I do not mind of being carted even though I am 50 years old. I was trying to buy a bag of ice which was half in the bag I told them give me how far and I will buy it they told me they rather thrown away instead of putting money in corporate's pocket well guys I don't understand is I guess Walgreen pretty rich that they can throw money away they told me they rather throw the half bag away instead of selling it to me and the gay guy that works there is very rude and choose gum in front of customers and disrespects customers I will think twice of going back again read more

The Asian lady at this Walgreens pharmacy needs to be fired. I had to tell this lady repeatedly what my name and birthday was. I said it loud and clear over 5 times and she still couldn't get it right. She tried to charge me $161 for a script I've gotten for free for 20 years. Then tells me how the script has my name but a different birthday month, asking if I'm sure it's my prescription. Obviously! Over and over says 'call your doctor to change your birthday because he put the wrong one'. Like okay I will I understand that it's wrong. Then I ask if she wants my id she says yes then keeps going on and on. Then says, can you give me your id so I say yes will you open the window and she acts confused. Then finally opens the window then takes 10 minutes to come back and says have a good day and finally gives me my medicine. I've never had such an issue in the 20 years I've been getting my script from this location. read more

I love this walgreens. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The pharmacist personally took care of a glitch in my prescription for me and had my prescription ready for me the same day a correction was made to it. Love this store!! read more

This is based on their photo department. I sent them(upload via their website) a professional headshot to print for me. When I pick up the picture and open it at work, the top of my head was cut off. I went back very upset and asked them "Do you look at the prints before you put them in an envelope?" It turns out that their server automatically defaults to crop the top of your head and what's funny to me is that the guy working at the photo section is wondering why I am upset. Complete incompetence! The least they could have done is when they saw the print(if they even looked at it) is call me to let me know; "Hey, the top of your head was cut off on the print." "Do you still want to use it???" Lack of Customer Service these days or they just hire Idiots and hope that everything is sorted out. read more

This review is based on my experience with the pharmacist with the red hair. Everyone else in the pharmacy is very helpful and has good customer service. You guys rock, that's why I still come to this location.I am not sure if this woman was having a bad day, but my visit here to pick up my prescription was absolutely horrible. I first heard her before I saw her, as I approached the counter. She had been currently(loudly, mind you) barking prescription information at the customer in front of me across two people standing between her and the customer. (Prescription information should be given privately, not barked at the person across the room, first of all. It's embarrassing if the customer has an ailment they don't want shared with the entire community.) Then it's mine turn. I tell the pharm tech my name and they say it's gonna be about 15 minutes, so I decided I'd look around while I'm waiting, to pick up a couple things and not hang out with sick people waiting for their prescriptions in the waiting area. This is in response to a yelper who mentioned shoplifter profiling in this store. You are not the only one who feels this. After walking around for ten minutes, what else am I going to do, I don't want to have to leave the store, I hear over the loud speaker in a panicked voice, blaring "security,walk the store!" I see like three people in their blue shirts walk briskly through the store, like they were hunting down a convict. What the heck? That makes me feel really welcome. I wasnt sure if I should take cover or what, the panic in this woman's voice was startling. I couldn't help but think, me, being the only one in the store, was the one they were sent to observe. This is unacceptable. I'm walking aimlessly because I'm waiting for my prescription which has now hit the 25 min. waiting mark. Instead of making your customers(I come in here weekly) feel like a criminal, how about put up a tv or a bigger waiting area(away from sickies)so they don't just walk around like an idiot, and then be monitored.This same store has tide laundry detergent on lockdown(I'm not kidding) so there's clearly a Head cheese whose got some paranoia issues. Note to management: Treat your customers like their business is appreciated, or they will find another drug store. So finally my prescription is ready. (See I'm not a criminal, I'm now paying for my $95 prescription and the other items I didn't swipe.) So here comes Mrs. Smiley, the pharmacist. She asks me if there's any questions. Every response she gave me was in a totally condescending, I'm a know-it-all, you're an idiot tone of voice. I asked how many pills at once are you supposed to take, because some prescriptions make you space it out. Her response "the amount you usually take!" This Was my first time taking it. Every question I asked was responded with this intense response. I feel like if you are giving someone medicine which has a dosage and precautions to them, you should be able to take 30 seconds for them so they have accurate information. Like I said before, I have had a good experience with every other pharm tech there, but this woman needs to learn how take a lesson in customer service, or at least, basic human communication.
