I must have driven by this Walgreens 2 or 3 times before I spotted it. Coffee Bean on the corner is really distracting. The Walgreen's sign is hidden behind some bushy sidewalk trees. But that's where it is! When you see Coffee Bean, turn and you will find the Walgreen's outdoor parking lot (on Beverly Glen). Turn the corner when you see the 76 gas station (another landmark). Huge outdoor parking lot. Free. I had an easy time finding parking, however, they share the lot with Coffee Bean so I suggest going at times when Coffee Bean isn't busy. I didn't love the atmosphere of this store because it is underground. They were also restocking when I was there and there were boxes in the aisles. It is, however, a pretty good size Walgreens. Use the app to add coupons here and get a Walgreens card. You will save $$. The customer service here was pretty good thanks to a wonderful associate named Marisol (a 5 star review for her). They had run out of a few items on the shelves and she went into the back and brought them out for us. She was very fast and super sweet. read more

Yikes! I just stumbled into this place tonight. It's like a set from a George Romero movie. It's dim, dirty, and cramped. The subterranean entrance and dark insides feel like a horror movie. Most shelves were half empty, like the store is just waiting for a bomb to go off and put it out of its misery. I can't believe this is a major chain, and not a poor struggling outlet in a third world country. Pharmacy is the worst. There is always a problem. They're the most incompetent people. They don't stay open during the hours it says they're open (we once spoke to a person at like 1030 who said the pharmacy closed at noon for lunch so we should come before; when we showed up at 11:40 they were closed for lunch with a sign that said closed at noon); they call you to come pick up and when you get there they tell you they never had it in stock ... and the latest today: My wife was going in for a procedure the following day and we showed up with the prescription for Norco from her doctor for pain management after. The pharmacist insisted it wasn't a real prescription and refused to fill it without talking to the doctor. She called but said "we're closing soon anyway, but you can sit and wait to see if they call back". Went down the street to the Rite Aid, filled immediately. That pharmacist had no idea what the Walgreens girl was talking about. Doctor called us after the Walgreens had closed to try to figure out what happened, she couldn't understand it either. They're just complete idiots. We're done. If you can avoid it, do not go there. read more

My favorite drug store and partly because of the lady at the front counter. She was always so friendly and made me feel even better because of her personality. Sadly I haven't seen her in weeks and there is a different person at the front counter and the last two times I've shopped she has made me not feel good. She talks down to me. This is by far the WORST Walgreens in west Los Angeles. It looks like the store went through a hurricane. The shelves are never stocked, they have one or none of each item. The candy I was so excited about had worms in it. Technically I guess they were moth larvae. So that's...better? If there are more than three people in line at the pharmacy, leave and come back later. It isn't worth it. If you get a text that your prescription is ready, ignore it. They have already re-shelved it because you didn't pick it up within 20 minutes. If you call to talk to someone in the pharmacy, hang up and drive there. Even in Los Angeles, it will take you less time to drive there, park in their sometimes-adequate lot, wait in line, and talk to the staff. I just called, and after 15 minutes of ringing and music, it auto-hung up on me. I'm 10 hold-music minutes into call #2. If I had typed this review with my toes, it would have taken less time than it takes to get a phone call answered at the pharmacy. read more

Ebony was acceptable in her demeanor. Overall this pharmacy was unhelpful. Rami (manager) was extremely combative and deliberately difficult. He threatened to close early without fulfilling our prescription because I asked him a question about something I was confused about regarding the fulfillment. This is medicine for a diabetic, and without it she faces severe complications. He was fully aware of this fact. He tried to control the manner in which I was speaking with him. He displayed exceptionally sexist conduct in regards to women and ignored me when I thanked him for his help. Someone without any awareness of proper customer service, especially in regards to clients under high stress physical health conditions, should not be the head of a pharmacy. We are now fulfilling our prescription at a direct competitor's company. I do not recommend doing business here under any circumstances, especially if you expect timely, kind, or respectful service. He should be ashamed of himself, and Walgreens corporate/superiors should run a thorough review of this type of conduct if they want to stay in business. read more

The times I've come here, maybe I just haven't been lucky? Long queues with only one register open. Drug stores - to me - are places where I can run in QUICKLY, pick up a few items, and be on my way. A few things to note: Staff - wouldn't hurt if there were more people about. Last time I had a question if they had a specific product, but couldn't find anyone to ask. There was only one person around - the cashier - who was assisting a long line of customers. Oh yeah - smile! :) Makes everyone's shopping experience better. Products - Good selection! No complaints! Pricers were higher than I've seen at other Walgreens locations, but they have what I want, and that suits me enough. read more

As a type 1 diabetic, I have spent most of my life struggling with timing prescriptions and dealing with medical staff. I understand when people have their hands tied by bureaucratic hoops. However, the pharmacist I spoke with not only surpassed my own expectations of unfriendliness and incompetence, but also my doctor's after they had to try (at the request of the pharmacist) calling in to help me get my medication! It felt both arbitrary and prideful for this pharmacy staff to be so unconcerned with my medical needs. Irresponsible. They lost my prescription. After losing my prescription, they told me they could find it if I came back in 3 hours. What a waste of time. I had to go in three times. They could have easily called my doctor and replaced it. I had a scan of it in my phone, but they would not accept that either. Instead, they blamed it on other people in the pharmacy, as if that is my problem. It's the attitude "Someone else lost it, so it's not my problem." This pharmacy should be removed as a Medicare provider. I understand that other pharmacies have problems, and that dealing with insurance can get complicated. But I've been dealing with pharmacies for decades and I've never seen this level of incompetence. In fairness, not all Walgreens are this bad. But this one, on Santa Monica and Beverly Glen, is bad. A few pharmacy staff members (Cassandra, e deserve more than 5 stars. Most of the people at the counter. However, the last 4-5 times I've encountered numerous issues with the pharmacist & I believe new staff member. I don't think they realize I can hear them talk about me, but I can. Today I called to ask when my prescription would be ready, they said around 1. I came at 1:50, it wasn't ready, and when the staff member asked the pharmacist about my call he rudely responded, once again I CAN HEAR YOU. I haven't had any issue with any pharmacist except the one with pink hair, who also sometimes seems to purposefully ignore her staff members requests to assist me while I'm waiting. I will probably switch pharmacies purely because of her service and how she speaks about customers. read more

THE LONGEST WAIT FOR THE PHARMACY EVER. Even if you don't want to wait in line, you have to because no one picks up the phone. I called yesterday to make sure my prescription was ready, but the phone was ringing for 30 minutes, so I started driving there and the phone was still ringing when I pulled up to the Walgreens. I actually drove there and still no answer. When I got there, of course the prescription was not ready so I had to wait there for 45 minutes for it to be made (after waiting in line for about 15 minutes). If you don't want to wait in a long line with a very unorganized system just to pick up a prescription, I recommend finding another pharmacy. read more

Century city mall's unofficial employee parking lot. The few times I've stopped here it's just been cars parking in their lot wearing shop uniforms, and hiking to the mall. My true thought is that this is where most shops at the mall tell their employees to park. "Triple purified water with Vitamin B3 and C to gently hydrate, completely removes makeup and there's NO rinsing!" "Where'd you get it?" "Amazon Prime but Target and Walgreens sell it." Aha! Walgreens! I want! I want NOW! With an hour in between appointments I braved the lot Walgreens shares with Coffee, Bean & Tea, as well as, News Stand City. A 30-minute parking limit is strictly enforced so says the signage, but I didn't see any security. All I can say is this is a dangerous lot with tight spaces, an entitled crowd but I wasn't about to let that stop me in my quest for the perfect HBA product du jour my friend and top models swear by. Back in the day, WAY back in the day this real estate used to be a grocery store, I believe a Westward Ho, later a Bristol Farms and there might have been another retailer prior to Walgreens. Regardless, the ramps at the entrance remain the same while the store configuration lends itself well to strategically placed security cameras. And that's a good thing as the two staffers in the aisles of beauty never acknowledged me or any other customers while they discussed their party plans. Found the product immediately, perused a name brand makeup kiosk for some BB cream, grabbed a well-known coffee chain's Blueberry Refresher made with sparkling green coffee to get me through the rest of the day, headed to the check out. Three unattended registers, I put on my best, bewildered look and finally got the attention of an employee more interested in restocking than customers. No, I don't have a Walgreens card. No, would you like to get one. No, discount. No worries, I had my special, magic skin cleansing water. Two days later, glowing, totally refreshed, pristinely clean skin, I noticed every time I used the cleansing water the bathroom counter was wet. Uh, oh! Me bottle sprung a leak. Now, I can't say what caused said leakage and if the parking, the energy here wasn't what it is, I'd return for a replacement/refund BUT this is only a $7 item I happily purchased from a mail order merchant over the weekend and will continue to do so, yeah, it's that good. This is one of the stranger Walgreens I've been in ... not necessarily in a bad way, just odd. It's situated at a very busy intersection, but finding the entrance requires some maneuvering. Once in the narrow, slanted parking lot, the spots are not easily accessible. The front entrance drops you down a bit into the store, which almost feels like you're heading down into a pharmaceutical dungeon. I just can't wrap my head around the logistics of it. From the street, the store doesn't appear to be buried, but the sidehill parking lot puts the storefront (which is really a store-back) firmly in the ground. The lady up front was helpful, pointing me to the lactose digestive pills I was hunting, and I was in and out of the place in 4 minutes flat. The other customers in the store were mean and causing trouble, but that's not the store's fault - that's the fault of every human that enables that sort of behavior. Pop a window in this bad boy, and you can get a higher marking. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid going to this walgreens PHARMACY. They are just simply awful. Under staffed, slow and careless. I have never received such bad service from any pharmacy around west LA. I live across from this place and I rather drive 5 miles away in order to get my prescription filled. About a month ago I thought I will give them another try since they are so close and needed to fill my father's pre-operation medications. The medication were time sensitive and had to be taken exactly 48 hrs prior surgery. I made share to make that part very clear to them since I knew about their track record. Well, guess what... the person in charge of putting the orders through the insurance had the wrong insurance ID number and simply DID NOT care to communicate that with me. When I went to pick up the meds that night they told me that your insurance is invalid. I wanted to kill them and when I asked how come you are telling me this now they had the nerve to tell me that "we are understaffed". Because of this whole mess and getting his blood thinner injections with delay the doctors had to sedate him with a different method that was not planned for his surgery. His surgery was almost canceled due to various risks and complications just because of lack of care and communications on behalf of this pharmacy staff. Pharmacy is horrible so slow always takes a minimum of 40 minutes to get a hold of someone over the phone. The line is alwayssssss super long because they don't have enough employees working at the pharmacy. Biggest issue and why I will be switching pharmacies is become they let customers that are buying random items for their home or personal use at the pharmacy line. They should be directed to the front of the store and have a clerk ring them out if they have business being in a pharmacy line...!!!
