Sorry to write a bad review but this whole company seems to going to the dogs. I made an appointment for the Shingles shot, got there 15 minutes as advised. Only to find that you have wait on the Rx line. After 20 minutes I was told that I need to fill in more paperwork than I filled in online. Once I got to the front of line I see the chaos behind the counter. I was told I needed fill in more paperwork and then it would at least 45 minutes before they could get me in, meanwhile the line kept getting longer. With COVID there is no place to wait that is safe. After seeing how they treated the few people in front of me I decided to get my Rx back and leave. I went to Rite-Aide and got my shots in 5 minutes. Before I wrote this I tried to alert Walgreens on there web site. The site doesn't accept 2021 dates and didn't take my comments. I did call the site and waited 20 minutes on hold. They don't seem to care. I see why this store has so many 1Stars. Go some palace else if don't want to wait in line........ Overall I usually find what I'm looking for at Walgreens and more but the state of the bathrooms that the public AND employees use is SO AWFULLY DISGUSTING!! I find it incredibly sad that the Employees have to use these facilities. Feces are all over the place including the toilet paper roll that is on the ground, the toilet and walls. I took pictures on two separate days once in the afternoon and once in the evening and the "cleanliness " is the same. Way to go to spread sickness Wallgreens!! read more

Brooke is my favorite employee, she is always there to help me when I need something with a friendly smile and a happy disposition. This is my go to place for all my drug store needs. I also got my prescriptions here. I love the 24 hour pharmacy, you can go late at night or early in them morning and no one is there. The other drug stores in town are pretty bad, one refuses to prescribe the medicine I need and the other, I FELL on a slippery floor last winter, not okay!!! read more

This Wallgreens is the Nordys of all Wallgreens. I always bring people here to show off their cosmetics section. It's a delight when my friends come face to face with a different lookin Wallgreens. It makes me happy! Don't you love natural products? This one has quite a few. Big aisle. Lit up well. The special cosmetics section takes up the first price here. They even have it's very own cash register and most of the time an assigned staff. So if you're in town drop by and entertain yourself. This is a very cool Walgreens! read more

I don't know what changed in the last 3 to 4 months but the pharmacy is terrible. No matter the time I stop in (10am, 2pm, or even 9pm) it ALWAYS has a super long line to pick up. I wait over 30 minutes in line just to have them tell me they can't locate a prescription that is ready. They have turned into a disorganized bunch who is rude when you do finally make it up to the counter. This has happened to me 10 times in the last 3 months. Yikes, right?!?! This is a decent Walgreens. I used to go here from time to time when I live a few blocks away. It didn't blow me a way, but it was always a place I could go to get things I needed that they provided. It does need a renovation, but other than that it's not that bad. read more

Yikes. Would not recommend this pharmacy. Came here for a vaccine booster appointment. Waited over an hour past my appointment time (after showing up 15 min early per their instructions) before they saw me, and they made me fill out the paperwork I already filled out online all over again for no apparent reason. The whole time I was waiting, I think they got 2 prescription pickups right. Wrong doses, partial refills, lost prescriptions. It was genuinely scary. The pharmacists are offensive, outwardly judgmental, and gossips. They do tell some juicy tales about other customers, the medication they're taking, and their interactions with them. I wouldn't go here for your own peace of mind. Life is busy enough without a pharmacist judging/gossiping about you and the medication you're taking. On the plus side, they have the ability to text you when your meds are ready. read more

Invariably there is a very long line at the pharmacy . They typically have one employee working the pharmacy even when there is 10 or 12 people in line. It's not uncommon to wait 45 mins to an hour just to pick up one prescription. This place STINKS .. poorly managed. I would place your prescription at CVS. read more

Pharmacy: while nightmarish service is endemic to Walgreens pharmacies, this location may possibly be the poster child. Perhaps the most illustrative example: Recently I rushed to the pharmacy to get medication that had to be taken THAT DAY to reduce the possibility of long-term Covid and minimize the symptoms. I made it a little ahead of the pharmacy's 9PM closing time. The metal roll-downs were already covering the service windows although I could hear people inside. So I knocked ... twice ... no response. Then a woman who self-identified as the store manager asked what I needed. I explained. She replied the pharmacy closed at 9PM. So i showed her that the time was only just that at moment 9PM so she could see that the already-closed pharmacy was ahead it's advertised hours and added that we could both still hear the staff inside. The manager said I should consider transferring the Rx to a 24-hour location. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this and many prior experiences at that pharmacy. She respondef "customer satisfaction isn't really our priority". FWIW, after 90 minutes on hold for the 24-hour pharmacy trying to transfer the Rx, nobody ever picked up. When I drove to the location I went to the drive-thru service window. The man working inside saw me pull up and, rather than speak to me, very hurriedly put up a sign in the service window that the (24-hr) pharmacy was closed with no information on re-opening time. A few moments later the lights went out. I sat outside and waited about 3 hours before I gave up. This pharmacy has me perpetually standing in long lines, prescriptions aren't ready when indicated, medications aren't in stock, automated refills fail, shipping isn't made, online ordering system is confusing and unreliable, and insurance billing actually required that I take notes on how their system works so i could explain the process to each successive cashier. If it's at all possible, go anywhere else. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I used Walgreens automated service, they told me to pick up at 9.15 pm. I arrived at 9.20 only to find out that they didn't even start filling it. Half an hour later my prescription was ready but the line was about 6 people and it barely moved over the next 45 min! These are all sick people that came late at night to get prescription medication. Manager came in, twiddled his thumbs and left. And at the counter you can buy alcohol with no line! read more

Santa Cruz Los Gatos allows customers the use of the Western Union terminal to receive funds, but does not disclose Wallgreens policy of not allowing customers to receive more than $200. Is that per transaction? Per day? According to the clerk, the Wallgreens POS system does not allow more than $200 disbursement. The issue is that the customer processes the transaction request but then Wallgreens tells the customer that it cannot fulfilled it if it is over $200. Western Union clears the transaction after 60 minutes. The secondary issue is the misleading/ misinformation aspect by Wallgreens and the customer's waste of time. read more

I don't think we have ever experienced worse service than at this walgreens. We have gone there for years, but in the last two years there have always been long lines. In addition to that,, they seem to refill prescriptions before they are needed, and if you have to call them, be prepared for a 20 minute wait. And then be disconnected. I think Ace Hardware in Los Gatos does a better job of protecting your health with sanitizers then this wall greens where the sanitizers are often empty or hard to find. I've had it. read more

After standing in a long line to pick up my medicine, they said they had no record of it. I listened to the Dr call it in 2 days prior, so I am 100% sure that it was called in. At the counter I was informed that the email is "automatic" and no guarantee that prints are actually ready. I was treated as a fool for not realizing this. The worst pharmacy ever! When the Dr. Request brand... They automatically fill with generics... then they make a big deal about complying with what the doctor ordered. You wait forever for every prescription!!!! Even if you already paid for it via their app... they don't have a separate line and they don't call out for you. Pharmacy: they never answer the phones. My doctor can never get through and either can I. When I'm in the store I see them ignoring calls. They might be short staffed. But some people aren't mobile and can't drive to the pharmacy to ask a simple question. I have been trying to get my medicine from the pharmacy & they lie on the phone about it being ready--when I get there it's not ready. This has happened many times when I ran out of my medicine and they would not give me an emergency pill to use. One time they even gave me the wrong medicine and luckily my wife noticed before I took it. The staff at the pharmacy are very rude and confrontational. This store always has a horribly long line during normal consumer hours such as 4-7 and weekends. They never or rarely have more than one cashier. They often make mistakes and say prescriptions are ready and they are not upon arrival. The auto refill suit cancels itself frequently. One star for mostly nice cashiers. The store employees say it's the budget they get. I don't see how a store can have such poor service to its community. They have a good location so bad service. read more

I actually really like this Walgreens, despite its poor reviews. It's one of the biggest Walgreens I've ever been in and there's so many products you can literally spend hours in there. I'll be honest, I've never used their pharmacy so I can't comment on that part, which seems to be an issue to a lot of yelpers. But if you're coming for a cute makeup haul or small little gifts for friends and family, this is your stop! Very well stocked and always clean. Nicely remodeled make up wall. Sitting here burning up with a fever, and I can't extract the prescription for antibiotics called in by my surgeon hours ago (and twice!). I go home and harass my doctor just to find out the pharmacists hadn't checked their voicemail for hours. They just said "you have no prescription in our records." It's dreadfully bad at this pharmacy all the time. The pharmacists try their best, which is why I gave 2 stars, but management did something a few months back to make this pharmacy completely dysfunctional. read more

Don't go to this pharmacy!!!! This is coming from a usually happy easy going young woman just having enough. Over 10 years, we are no longer using Walgreens pharmacy. If you don't want to read all below, please know that the Express Script Pickup is only RANDOMLY chosen when you sign up. If you do get chosen, who knows how express it will be anyway. We have been going here for over 10 years. Generally ok for day to day quick and general supplies. Staff have always been friendly!!!! True, their bathrooms are like really gross public gas stations, so you don't want to breath, touch or look at anything. Maybe go somewhere else if you can. As for the pharmacy, service was great for about 4/6 years. Like a smooth moving pharmacy with an occasional hick up or a prescription delay. Waiting was not really an issue. But slowly, with staff shortages, staff changes and more prescription delays it has only become worse and worse. Must be more reasons. Our family has been patient because certainly it will get better right?!?! Nope. Today we are leaving Walgreens and looking for a new pharmacy. I wanted to just drop a script off, but was told I had to go to the back of the pick up line. There were at least 10 people. You would think not too bad, but usually each one of them have an issue or a complaint. I told them I can not stand too long due to a recent knee replacement. They told me to get in line any way and they will call me. After about five min. with no movement, I went to the front and angrily, grabbed a chair, dragged it loudly to the end of the line so I could sit and dared anyone to challenge me. No one even looked my way. I waited 15 min. moving my chair along, with 4 more people in front of me and my patience was done. I offered my chair to the person behind me who happily sat down and went up and said, it's been 15 min. and I was told I would get called because it's hard for me to stand long right now. The woman looked at me a bit surprised and immediately took my script with an apology. I told her my husband will pick up later. He did lovely man of mine. He waited also 10 or so min. but in a better mood than me. Once at the counter, a blond curly haired lady asked for his barcode for the script. He did not have one. He was just picking up our daughters medication as we got an alert it was ready. She rudely told him, no code, he will have go to the end of the line. WHAT?!?!? I just waited through an entire line he told her. She ignored him and walked away. A male employee heard and saw the exchange and apologized and told the woman that man had already been in line. She just walked away and left it appeared. The man got the script for my husband. This woman was having a bad day. In general staff are wonderful. But, the pharmacy system is AWFUL. What a shame. Once again I have left Walgreens frustrated, but this time for the last time. My prescription had been ready for 3 days, but when I had tried to pick it up along with my daughter's prescription that had been sent in via computer over 45 minutes prior they weren't ready. The store hadn't even printed out my daughters prescription. The staff at the store told me it would be 30 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes in the store, we went back to the pharmacy to check. Once again my daughter's prescription was still not ready. I asked to pay for the few things I had and get my prescription that was ready. The clerk told me she couldn't ring it up as the pharmacist had to be in the room when she did. The pharmacist was in the adjoining room giving a shot to a patient that had an appointment and had been waiting for 1 hour to get his shot. This Walgreens is continually out of medication, under staffed, unable to fill your prescription for some reason, has long lines and a very rude pharmacy clerk to boot. This has gone on since pre-covid. Shame on me for not changing sooner. Do NOT go to this pharmacy if you expect to be able to pick up a prescription in a timely manner. Today is 04/04/17 i bought a White Castle frozen hambergers in frozen food section. I ate it for lunch and was about to throw the box away and realized that it has expired on 02/04/17... How is this possible its been expired for 2 whole months. Do they not even check their inventories?? If it was couple of days past the date its understandable. But 60 days?!
