Wednesday, September 4, 2024 I can only assume the Yelp rating is solely for the pharmacy. Holy hell! Doc called in one prescription this morning. I called at 4:08pm and was treated to the annoying voice prompts that don't understand you well. Finally got to speak to a person and they answered the call, "pharmacy" in the tone of annoyance and disgust. Similar to the voice as Jimmy Fallon when he played Nick Burns, Your Company's IT Guy on SNL. She couldn't have been more annoyed. When asking for information about the patient, she just said, "name." Not, 'what is your name' or 'what is the patient's name' or anything remotely friendly. Again, she was annoyed to have to work and have to deal with you. You are pond scum, clearly. Since the automated voice said the pharmacy closes at 7pm I asked for the one prescription to be filled today, please. You would have thought I told her I prayed her Geo Metro broke down on the way home from this annoying job and ran over her cats. I would have more respect if she just came out and asked, rhetorically, "the f*ck did you say?!" God forbid she actually has to do her job. She said it would be filled by 5:30pm. I called back at 5:54pm and the automated voice said one prescription was filled and the other two would be ready after 4:30pm...tomorrow. Okay, fine. I called and got "Pharmacy Attendant Sunshine" once more and instead of asking the purpose of the call I just got, "name." Not phrased as a question; very much Nick Burns once more. I asked if the presciption could be filled at another Walgreens location and was blunted told, "it's ready, the pharmacist has to do some stuff first." Sounds contradictory to me. Had pictures printed at this location, as it would be on my way home. My photo order said it should be ready about 10:35. I showed up at 11:45 and it had not been processed. The employee told me it would be about 5 minutes. I paid for my order and left. Luckily, I checked the order before I pulled away. I only received part of my order (I never had possession of the photo envelope until after I had paid at the front register). I received only the 8x10s from my order. I also had someone else's 8x10 in my order. I went back in the store and my 5x7s were still in the printer (awaiting trimming). I will continue using the Walgreens on Coachline, as I have never had issues with them. The amount of time it took to get my correct order would have covered the drive. read more

ATTENTION DOVE MOUNTAIN SENIORS: This pharmacy is the place to go when you want to be spoken to in a condescending manner by the male tech pharmacist while being berated by the female pharmacist. Its been a year or more since I have witnessed such blatant ageism in Oro Valley/Marana since us seniors are the dominate demographic around Dove Mountain. God help those two when they respectively reach 65 because karma is a cruel mistress. Get a new job if you're unhappy with your Walgreen's employer. Leave the retail pharmacy field if you feel the need to act out against seniors asking questions and sharing possible drug interactions. read more

Called to speak to a tech at the pharmacy was placed on hold repeatedly. Over 30 minutes of a wait and in the end was hanged up on.

Plan on camping out if you want to pick up a prescription. Absolutely ridiculous. Would've left 0 stars.

I had a vaccine, had the flu and Covid shot and the manger didn't administrate it correctly the shot was bubbling inside my arm which didn't seem normal, and bled a lot. read more

If you are going here for prescription meds - you really ought to reconsider! They have the most disorganized, obtuse pharmacy I've encountered. Terrible hours, prices & communication skills. Whomever answers the phone for this location tells you one thing and the pharmacy staff (one unkempt fellow in particular) tells you the opposite. This has happened on multiple occasions and we've only lived here for a few months. They have lost one of our hand carried life saving prescriptions (final straw), been contradictory on several other occasions, told my husband RX was ready last month & when he drove in from Red Rock and me a totally different story that day when I called, then another when I drove back the next morning. I used to like Walgreens in Oregon, but they've been substandard in Tucson area. Before this last run around I had already transferred all of my prescriptions to Fry's down the street. Now I've transferred all of my husband's. I think they must be getting ready to close this one down because they have another one nearby that has better hours, more helpful service. However, I won't be going to any, too much uncertainty with things that are too important. FYI, went back on the following day for heart meds, the young lady working the counter that day offered us an emergency supply that wasnt offered the day before (!) too bad it's so inconstant because she was helpful. It's convenient and great for prescriptions. The pharmacy staff is helpful and nice. They're so easy to work with. If you're getting other items from the store there's usually only one person at the checkout counter, so it may take a little longer for a quick trip but it's a great store. read more

This Walgreens tried to charge me $20 per pill and put me on hold for over 45minutes before hanging up on me. San Marcos pharmacy in CA charged me under $20 for an entire month's worth. Greedy Walgreens no longer gets my business. read more

This is NOT the best Walgreens in town. First of all, their app says that the hours of the pharmacy are 24/7. I waited at the drive up tonight behind a woman who was clearly having a conversation with the pharmacist about the weather! When I got to the window it was 7:01 PM. The pharmacist had the audacity to put up a sign that said that the window closed at 7 PM. She wouldn't even give me the courtesy to say that the window is closed and that that Walgreens had changed their hours of the pharmacy. I will never spend one more penny in this pharmacy. Someday the tides will change and Walgreens will actually have to work for their customer base. read more

pharmacy is often closed do you cannot get scripts filled. there have been times they had my med but made me wait days for it. only filled from their stock because I had a stink. I've been told I should not come in but wait until they call me. many extremely rude employees! The pharmacy at this location is terrible. The employees are rude and do not know how to correctly submit insurance information. They are often times out of needed prescription drugs. I have had issues with this at least three times. To verify their error I have contacted my insurance company to straightened out their incompetence. Take your prescription needs elsewhere. read more

This is the best Walgreens in town! The store is immaculate. The employees are friendly & helpful. The cashier, I wish I had gotten his name, was the nicest man. Quick, but friendly & chatty at the same time. That is a rare combo. We usually stop by Walgreens to get little toys for when the grandkids visit. We stop at random ones to check out clearance prices. This one had a few goodies for us! Perfect. Just perfect. read more

I chose one star because it was needed to write a review. This is a zero star pharmacy store. While the young men and women in the pharmacy are pleasant and competent , there is a nasty middle-aged woman who is so rude. She doesn't realize people are customers and can go to other pharmacies. Like customers of any other retail operation. I had read all the awful reviews before my Rx was at this store but it is the closest Walgreens to my neighborhood. There is no reason the woman is so rude - especially since the pharmacist and younger employees dealing with customers are pleasant. She should either have a position without customer interaction or be let go. I told the store manager about my experience and he listened and said he would talk to the pharmacy manager about my awful experience. Evidently, knowing full well current and older reviews are awful, the store and pharmacy managers have done nothing to correct the issue or change this woman's attitude and behavior. This is our nearest Walgreens so we're here somewhat often. My husband decided to have film developed there after finding an old camera. He called the location to see if it was ready. A young lady answered the phone and put him on hold. She left him on hold for close to 10 minutes. We live about 2 minutes from the store, so he decided it'd be faster to go in. Before he left, the young lady came back to the phone and told him he must have mistook this location for the Dove Mountain location. When he asked who he'd called, she lied and said "This is the Thornydale store..." Except my husband confronted her when he got there and she didn't know what to say, so she just smiled. Who does that? It's sad, but she usually has a kind of sour attitude and you'll know if you end up with her too here. The other employees are always friendly and smiling or make small talk while you're checking out. Hence, the 3-stars. read more

Shoutout to employee Ron. He always has a smile on his face and welcomes each customer with a friendly greeting. It makes visiting this Walgreens nice, every single time. My son was sick and went here to get his prescription filled. After two days my wife noticed that there was very little medicine left for the next three days. Called the pharmacy and they said that they had written the wrong dosage on the bottle?!? Here was taking DOUBLE the amount that he was suppose to be taking. My son has been acting fine but pretty scary considering that this type of a situation could happen. Needless to say that I won't be going back to this location and will stick with my normal Walgreens. I would seriously reconsider using this location for any of your pharmacy needs. read more

Find another pharmacy! I have had bad experience after bad experience at this pharmacy. First, they are incredibly slow. There's often a long line of cars at the drive through window. Even when there are no customers at the pharmacy counter inside, they seem to take a break between cars, making everyone wait for no reason whatsoever. Recently, I went to pick up a prescription I have been taking for years. After I paid, but before she handed me my medicine, the woman told me I had to wait and talk to the pharmacist. I explained that I had the flu and that I had been taking that medication at that dosage for years and I really didn't want to wait for the pharmacist. I just wanted to get home before I threw up again. She told me it would be illegal for her to give me the medicine without talking to the pharmacist. That is a bold faced lie. It may violate Walgreens's policy, but it is not illegal. Ask an attorney or any non-Walgreens pharmacy. Finally, I was prescribed two medicines that cannot be taken together. This Walgreens filled both prescriptions, repeatedly. When I found out about the potentially deadly interaction between the two medicines, I pointed it out to the pharmacist very politely. First, he had no idea those medicines were contraindicated. Second, he acted like it was no big deal at all. He never said sorry or we'll look into it or anything. He just said something like, "So you want me to take X medication off automatic refill?" I was shocked. I left a message for Walgreens to complain about that issue, but I never got a return call. This is not my local Walgreens but I drive a few extra minutes to this one because the staff is so friendly and helpful. The pharmacy staff, in particular, is excellent. They'll go out of their way to help you with something and they never act like you're inconveniencing them. The whole atmosphere is wholesome (if that makes sense). The store is always clean and well-kept and the employees seem like they genuinely enjoy working there. read more
