Horrible service. Rude sales clerk. I won't be back to this Walmart. Dirty....overflowing garbage right outside the door.

First the pharmacy takes forever to answer the phone to help. Then when you do get someone they treat you like someone they hate and have a terrible tone with you during the call. On top of that they don't want to do simple things other pharmacies do. Like call you when a drug is out of stock and you've been waiting 5 days for any communication from them. They will also lie to you and say a drug is on back order until 12/31/88 which I immediately called BS on and I was right! I transferred my med to Safeway pharmacy and they had it ready the next day. This is a shameful, disgusting, conniving pharmacy and anyone reading this should go elsewhere. Especially since they close at 6pm. How lame is that for a closing time? This place is terrible and they could care less about how it offers care to its patients. Please people speak with you wallets and don't do business with this location. read more

Never a big shopper at drug stores but I do like this Walgreens prescription service. It was generally fast for walk-in and usually within an hour I can pick up my order. On new year's eve I walked in with a branded prescription and they ran out of stock. The pharmacist called a nearby Walgreens and got my order filled in half an hour. Love that efficiency. I have to say in general, walk-in are better than drive by. I was once stuck at the car line with only one car ahead of me for more than half an hour. So that proves a little bit of walking is that much healthier and faster. For over the counter medications, Walgreens is not the cheapest though. For example, the natural lubricant eye drops Thera Tears, Walgreens is $13 bucks while Walmart is $9. read more

I use to love this place to get my photos developed or printed. But, I ordered photos online to be sent home from walgreens (passport photo) and the quality was fantastic. However I messed up and cut my image too small so I ordered it to be picked up in store and the quality was drastically different: it was disastrous. From now on: I will still be using Walgreen but only to get prints shipped to my house. And as for my film camera: I will choose a different place. read more

I came in on a Friday evening and they were able to develop my photos (100+ photos) in less than an hour (they didn't have anyone waiting). So their service was pretty good. But the photo machine doesn't let you crop how you want the photo so I still have to pick up 10 photos where our heads were cropped off (it automatically crops evenly around the photo, depending on the size, but they should have technology to recognize the head and not cut it off!). The Asian guy looked kind of annoyed when I was pointing out all of the pics with our heads cut off. Those photos are useless to me, I'm not just going to pay for them to throw them in the trash! Also, they have this thing where you get $5 off a $25 purchase. Instead of ringing me up twice, splitting my $55 purchase, they lumped it into one so that I only got one coupon. Annoying. read more

I have been shopping here for at least the last 20 years, but no more! Attendants used to be helpful and courteous but in the last couple of years there have been quite noticeable changes and not for the best. Now, I've had enough and will not return. I went to a lot of Walgreens locations and this one seems to have what I needed (even though it was out of the way for me). I woke up early that day (Saturday) and got there right before the store opened. I grabbed what I needed (it was on sale) and proceeded to the cashier station. When the cashier scanned my item, their system didn't register the discount price so she had to ask her coworker for help. After a few tries, she finally adjusted the price manually. Overall, I got what I needed (for the price that was listed) so no complaints. read more

I was looking for SnoreRx mouth guard, it was sold out online. I looked up stores near me that showed availability. It showed that the W Calaveras location carried 2-5. I checked every aisle, but couldn't find it anywhere so I inquired at the Pharmacy and Erica helped me. She was soooo nice and helpful! I could tell she was swamped (the whole pharmacy dept was busy) but she multi-tasked and helped me as she helped other customers. Turns out they didn't carry it and she offered to call other stores so that I wouldn't have to drive around for nothing. The Morrill location carried it so she had someone hold it for me AND checked to see if they could honor the promo of 25% off (so nice). I felt that Erica went over and beyond her duty! She didn't have to do these extra things for me yet took it upon herself to go the extra mile to help me. THAT'S superb customer service!!! I so appreciated that! I hope her manager, Hector (her mgr) sees this review! I quickly drove over to the Morrill location and purchased it! I was in town just for Thanksgiving. I got it just in time for my mom. This store does not close at 10. Got there and got out my car to approach the door a women yelled out that they were closed and it was 9:53PM. I needed to get my kids medicine and I got home late from work to find out I needed to get meds. Disappointed that they were closed earlier than their stated time they should update their hours if they close earlier than what is stated on the sites so I don't waste my time driving down there. read more

I brought my wheel chair bound father to purchase something and use the bathroom. I asked the manager if my father could use the restroom and he refused saying it was due to covid while we were both wearing masks. Feel sad and sorry about this manager and this company. Pharmacy was not well run for COVID vaccinations. Took an hour waiting, with only one customer in front of us. Pharmacist appeared to be frenetic, and someone else (manager? hopefully trained?) ultimately administered to my 11 y.o. Hopefully I can get his 2nd dose done elsewhere! read more

This walgreens location usually has decent service. It's an organized location and it's right off of the 237 so it's really convenient. I came here a lot to pick up photo prints, pick out birthday cards, and buy candy :) I swear I come in here wanting one thing, but leave with 4 other things and forget about my initial one thing... haha I'm such a girl. They have everything here from make-up, to picture frames, to school supplies, so seasonal stuff. I love getting decorations for the holidays here. It's always decently priced here compared to Longs Drugs / CVS pharmacy, but I don't know if it beats Target/Walmart. read more

This review is based on the service I received at the Pharmacy. I visited this location last week to pick up some antibiotics for my Fiance. As I waited in the waiting area, I noticed a couple things. The young woman that initially deals with the customers, My, was extremely patient, welcoming and delightful. She was the hardest worker there. As I continued to wait for the prescription, I also observed that Angela, another lady who works on the side on the computers was very short with customers and presented herself very poorly. She didn't smile at any of the customers who approached her, she was short and very rude to every customer that came through the pharmacy. My family and I have been frequent customers of this location for the past 10 years and I have never had to encounter Angela, and honestly, I hope I never have to. Frankly, if I'm coming into the pharmacy, I'm not feeling 100% in the first place, that or the person whom I am visiting with and I would hate to have to deal with such an unprofessional employee, that seems to not enjoy or appreciate her job. read more

I used to shop here regularly, but I'll go to LONGS instead from now on. why? If you need to run to the bathroom, you can't, because it's locked. You have to find someone to call someone else to go over to the door and unlock it for you. If they are busy, you're S. Out of luck. Same thing with Returns and Exchanges. Even for a $1 item, they have to call a manager or assistant manager or maybe a Supervisor to use their Super Key to process it. Stupid Bureaucracy! For the Grand Finale, they've now changed their rebate system so that you don't get your money back as a rebate. Instead, the rebate is popping out a Walgreens coupon that EXPIRES in 2 weeks and you could only apply each Coupon to 1 item of purchase and a million other rules written in fine print. WHATEVER! I give up. I thought the economy was tough and shops are improving their customer service to keep their customers. Obviously, Walgreens is impervious to this little problem. All of their policies aim to inconvenience the customers. A couple of their female employees also constantly look grumpy. Maybe their employee policies are not great either. I feel kind of mean writing this, but I can't believe something so obvious has escaped their management's attention. HELLO! Since I'm not coming here anymore, I moved my RX elsewhere too which is too bad because I liked their drive through Rx, but I'm not going to come here just for that. read more

I love this Walgreens! It's clean, plenty of parking in front, organized inside, and quick check out. I always find what I need. I also enjoy their after holiday 50%off sales. This review is for the Pharmacy. I came here often for my mom's prescriptions. Customer service inside the pharmacy and drive thru were outstanding. When my mom's medicare part D for prescriptions were not approved yet, the pharmacy held her medications until it got approved. They also called me often to make sure her medications were okay and to see if she was adjusting to them well. That is what I call great patient care follow up! read more

And they didn't have Snuggies in stock, the assistant manager on duty went as far as to look up one for me at their Story Road location. Yes, something stupid as a Snuggie. Walgreens Drug Store provide a variety of goods and pharmaceutical goods. This particular Walgreen is located in a great location where the crowd is few, however the staff is disorganized and items that your looking for is scattered. Pros Location: It's located in a great location where there is a lot of commercial area to go to. You could go grocery shopping across the street to Save Mart or go grab a bite at Chili's. Less Crowded: Not a lot of people go to this particular Walgreen so there is barely a crowd here. Pricing: They have pretty cheap items here if they're on sale if not then don't bother buying from them. Cons Staff: Some of the staff here are inexperienced and unprofessional at times. They can say one thing and mean another. They're very disorganized. However majority of them are pretty friendly. Disorganized: The whole building doesn't seem to be very organized and all the items is in a mess. Overall Walgreens on Calaveras is a great place to get your drugs at and if items are really cheap on sale. The items can be a bit unorganized, but they have a large variety here. read more

This review is for Photo section. I called before I went there and asked about Passport photos and a guy at the photo section said to just come by. Then, I was there in line and there was this girl right in front of me who tried to redeem gazillions hallmark greeting cards with gazillions coupons. Right about a few minutes in line, the clerk asked me what service I needed and I told him that I need passport photos. After that, he was back helping that girl that tried to get gazillions of free greeting cards. After 30 minutes, he had to call his manager because the system did not take the girl's coupon since it has the same bar code (DUH?). The manager came after 15 minutes and then override her coupon and told her that she could not redeemed so many of the same coupons (another DUH?) but she would let it go this time. Then, it was my turn, the guy asked me the same question again and I told him I need passport photos. He said there were some issues with the printer and he could not do passport photos. The manager was there and did nothing. I was trying to give these people business and they rejected me and instead they helped people who tried to score free greeting cards. I said "Forget it" and I had my passport photos taken at CVS close-by seamlessly. I am definitely not going to give my business to this Walgreens anymore. I would not write such a bad review if he said "we could not do passport photos at the moment" when I called them up. Whoever is picking up the phone and whoever was in that counter were idiots (maybe it was the same person). Throw in the manager too. Good luck with your store. read more

DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS AT WALGREENS!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Bought a gift card for someone as a Christmas gift (over $100) And the gift card doesn't work! And this is the cashier/managers fault that rang up the card! I went back to the store, the cashier was rude and said she can't do anything (probably the one that messed it up) and they call the manager and the manger Andrew, was rude as fuck, did not want to come speak to me, gave me attitude, so I had to ask again for him to come talk to me, and instead of helping me out, he says there's nothing he can help me out with, after going back and forth he finally tells me to call this number, and takes over 15 minutes to pull up my transaction. Literally waited 15 minutes to pick up a prescription via the drive thru. One car ahead of me. Convenience is #1 right? Yay! Sarcasm FTW. I've been a loyal customer to their pharmacy department for years, but lately, the service, wait and overall experience has been whack. The wait time is always a MINIMUM of 15 minutes even if there is NOBODY in front of you, you're the only car waiting. And I get it, it could be busy. But then for you to then give me attitude when it's my turn to pick up my prescriptions, where do you draw the line. My expectations aren't even that high for this type of service, but after so many CONSISTENT let downs, I made the change to get my prescriptions mailed to me! Now I'm enjoying life with no extensive waiting periods or exasperated pharmacy techs. read more

The machine kept jamming, but Stephanie never gave up and made sure I got my cards as quickly as possible. My review is for Pharmacy department. I have been their customer since 2012 and I got great customer service. I switched hospitals, switched my insurance every year, went to out-of-state clinics couple of times and I still received my medications on time. Ofcourse I always plan ahead and Walgreens gets prescriptions electronically; I don't have to bring in the paper work. I find almost all the employees helpful and pleasant. read more

I have called and spoke with a rude woman with no personality and after giving my information puts me on hold with out even letting me know she was going to do so. While on hold for 2 seconds the phone starts to ring and eventually hangs up. Call back to never reach the pharmacy after letting it ring or stay in limbo for over 15 minutes. The girl in the pharmacy is unprofessional and lacks people skills of any sort. Looking for a new pharmacy and not shopping at this store anymore either. read more
