** This review is strictly in regards to the photo department. Passport photo in specifics. ** While this particular Walgreens is my preferred location to go to, the service and organization can be lacking from time to time. Granted, I always come back because there is 100% WORST out there. With me trying to get my life together, I finally decided to get my expired passport renewed. This required me to go and get some photos taken. I hopped online and did a quick search for locations that could help me accomplish this task and up pops Walgreens. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty hesitant to take this route due to some pretty bad reviews and a number of horror stories regarding the lack of care and knowledge the employees had when it came down to photo requirements. The last thing I wanted to do was waste my time, money, and delay my passport getting renewed. BUT!! Convenience and my laziness got the best of me and off to Walgreens I went. I arrive to an empty photo department but flagging someone down was easy enough. In walks Isabel (shift lead) who makes the process super easy. She asks that I take a seat with a white backdrop and begins to take multiple images. Once she was confident that she had a shot that could be used, she brought me over to a kiosk where Isabel went through a check list prior to confirming the photo and printing it out. The process took about 20-25 mins for the images to be ready. Whoo hoo for same day pick up!! Cost was a whopping $17 for a set of 2 which is a lot cheaper than what passport photographers would charge. 5/5 stars for Walgreen's passport photo process. Isabel seemed knowledgeable enough but the final test will be the government actually passing my renewal application. Stay tuned for a possible "part two" review. read more

Walgreens is my go-to for my photo needs. Take advantage of their coupons cause it comes in clutch! It's always at least 50% off. Aya is usually the person to help me when I go pick up my orders and I enjoy picking up from her because she knows me by name. Always greets me with a smile, provides great customer service and gets me on my merry way in under 5 mins depending on how busy the photo department is. I'm honestly glad that Walgreens is still around after all these years. We still use the pharmacy and they have some of the best 2 for 1 deals or buy 1 get the second 50% off deals for chocolates. They are super slow and under staff. I don't understand why I'm waiting for so long to get service. Also before the machine finished printing my paper she just ran off to do another task. No eye contact and no thank you. She was rude and unprofessional. As I was about to enter my member number she cancelled it so I was forced to pay and couldn't enter my rewards phone. I came in looking for a finger brace. If I didn't need it immediately I probably would just have ordered it online. I have been here in years. This place looks like a wearhouse for seniors. They have all sorts of medical equipment and items that elderly and disabled people may need. It must be a popular location judging by the line at the pharmacy. I found what I was looking for but it was highly marked up. I can't believe the prices these seniors are forced to pay. The selection is great but the prices are high the high rating is for the large selection and the fact that most stuff wasn't locked up. Much easier to shop here as opposed to Walmart read more

This review is solely for the unreliable photo department. They are the only local to me spot that will allow for same day or next day photo prints (sadly RIP Costco Photo). However, this experience has me irritated up the wazoo. I went in to pick-up my photo order that was indicated ready to be picked up. I was in a rush and did not count each photo, assuming that all 32 from my order would be there. When I got home I realized I only had 18 of the 32. I was trying to get to an appointment and was afraid that the system missed the other 14, so I placed another order of the 14 pictures that were missing. After my appointments I went to the store to explain the situation. The employee did not listen to my explanation about how there were 14 pictures missing thus I ordered those 14 so they didn't need to reprint the entire batch. However, he reprinted the entire order of 32 again. Then, he also charged me for the order of 14 that I had placed as a back-up. I am displeased for two reasons-- (1) The order was incorrect to begin with wasting my time to have to return (2) He charged me the 14 when I tried to explain to him those 14 were the ones missing and he did not have to reprint and waste more photo paper. He ended up shredding the 18 that were in my original envelope. There was a line at this point, so I just paid for the 14 as this was already taking nearly 20 minutes. However, I feel that he did not resolve the situation in the most resourceful manner. I won't say I'm never coming back here again as I know there will be last minute pics I want printed, but I will remember this lesson. read more

If you plan to take a lunch break for 1 hr, please do so. Nevertheless, dont put up a sign said your hours from 8AM-10PM. This means you operate during this window. Additionally, no one is deserve to stand in line for more than 5 mins. If you go down the street at CVS Berryessa and observe, the line move rapidly.... when there are more than 3 customers in line, the pharmacist serve as a cashier........I suggest you "COPY AND PASTE", or hire more help! read more

Ok store. Difficult sometimes to get help in getting specific stuff you might need and don't know how to find it. I think the reason might be lack of enough personnel to help customers. I always have the feeling you have to know clearly what do you need before going there and do no expect a very good customer service. read more

Shout out to pharmacy and especially Kimberly in this location for the amazing customer service. I was looking for a medicine for a month and I had to call more than 50 pharmacies in south bay to be able to find my medicine after a month of search. Some places didn't even pick up the phone and some places didn't even bother to check their inventory for that medicine and they were literally super rude that made me cry couple of times. However, Kimberly showed an excellent service during my phone call and made sure I got all my answers. She was extremely kind and helpful. She asked all my questions to the pharmacist and made sure I got all the information I needed. I drove 40 mins from Los Gatos to this location to get my medication. Thanks to her I'm finally able to use my medication. Walgreens should hire more people like Kimberly and give good employees a good reward to keep them. read more

The worst flu shot experience ever!!! This store is extremely unorganized!! We got there 15 mins earlier before our flu shot appt. Waited for 45 mins just to get the paper to fill out. After that, another 2 hours standing in line before getting the injection. The line didn't move at all. Everyone was tired and upset from standing and waiting the whole time. There's only one tech working. I wonder what happens when the tech takes one-hour lunch. People probably have to wait for another hour without knowing what's going on. I even wonder what happens if she injects the wrong vaccine to patients (all kinds of vaccine appt go into the same line, same room, and same tech.) Conclusion: Very unorganized and inefficient!!! It is close to my house and customer service is rather very great here. The store is well organized and it is easy to look for things. I do find it weird that the Walgreen's here sells cigarettes when the one in SF near Revere/ Third does not. My boyfriend was pretty shocked. Can't understand why. Adding on from my last review this pharmacy has gotten worse especially the pharmacist she is very rude and ruins your medication pick up I couldn't get a medication because I'm taking something like it so they denied me and made a big scene about it idk if all Walgreens are like this but this one is making them seem like a horrible pharmacy they will hold your medication until they get several check ins with insurance and the doctors it is a ridiculous process if you have mental issues I suggest you avoid this pharmacy it'll just make your case worse read more

Quick and easy trip, no hassle. I had to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy - the pharmacist was kind and empathetic towards me and other customers. I needed some electrolyte solution and they were well-stocked with many flavors. I also picked up some chocolates (that seemed pricier than at other supermarkets) on the way out. The waiting times at this Walgreens has improved over the last one year or so. Overall it provides good service now.

Sure most Walgreens look the same except for the ones on the Vegas Strip. We're 14hr drive from there (we'll depending on traffic and car you're driving) so this one is looks routine. Tucked away in a North San Jose suburb it doesn't look like much from the outside. Sure some folks are asking for money at the parking lot exit but this Walgreens has 2 other enctrances and extits you can use to skip around them (which is a bonus). The store is clean, plenty of parking which makes it easy for a quick run in and out as lets face the fact.. You're coming here because you forgot something while shopping someplace else (ink, paper, TP, hair dye, etc).. OR you just want to be in/out quick without dealing of largeness from a larger store (target, walmart, etc). This store has great assortment but the one side, clean aisle ways and great merchandise. Prices are ok for a walgreens but the down side from a 3-4 star review is check out. Seems every time I jet into this place to get that 1-2 items i need i spend 5x-10x the time in checkout. One person cashier and with 3-4 people paying (on average). There's that one person that doens't know how to use the credit card machine, or using every last coin they have to pay.. It's almost torture. With the large store in the same mall now having self check-out lanes im almost sure I can be in/out of there just as fast. BUT.... Wait for it.... .The staff here at the Walgreens is 10x better then the other stores. No matter if it's the nice sweet grear grandmother lady or the recent grandfather looking guy their smiling faces, get to know customers, caring "how's the kids doing Judy" attitude makes me wanna shop here more the normal. Yes, thats right it's the loving care at the long checkout line that keeps me coming back even though I hate it. Hard to find that late 1950-1960's local drug store type of personalization anymore. This rating is for the Pharmacy and ALL of their workers. I have been here for many years and the service is horrible. And they make mistakes OFTEN! I just spent more than half an hour waiting for my prescription just to go home and find out they gave me less pills than I paid for! So I have to waste more of my time and GAS (which is very expensive right now!) just to come back and fix their mistake!
