Lo and behold I had already had another item that I was getting from there! The section was neat and tidy too. Always a bonus. So I got the BOGO deal, used my CVS rewards cash and left spending less than 4 dollars on probably $30 worth of product if regular priced. All three staffers that we encountered this day were super nice and they each went above and beyond to be helpful.

The pickup window doesn't deal with insurance info so they sent me to another line after waiting in line for window D to input insurance info. The only saving grace is if you have a bar code then you can get in the express line which is significantly faster but even then sometimes there's a line for that. Also the floors are dirty. No one vacuums? Granted the 1 star I'm giving is for the friendly staff. But maybe they're understaff or their system is just not very efficient.

The price was $6.29 for a pump bottle for this .Aloe Vera Gel. This Aloe Vera Gel will provide me with a cooling sensation to ease my sunburn. I also bought 2 Wet and Wild (Black) Gel Eyeliner Pencil. The price was $6.79 each. The total for 2 eyeliner pencils is $13.58. Then I bought one Rose shade Blush. The price is $2.19. The final item I bought was the Blush Brush. the price is $8.00. My total bill was $17.28. I enjoy shopping at this CVS Pharmacy location due to their cashier like Mata is always very helpful in finding the product that I need most and she is also has an upbeat positive attitude. Their pharmacist is also very helpful and friendly to me their regular customer.

Not knowing this was only slightly better, you still get weirdos from 7-11 and people hanging around at night from In N Out. I think the parking lot lighting could be better, lots of shadows. The pharmacy is faster, less crowded, but the store is worse. Less selection, less deals. Less offerings on services. I almost never grab things here before I pick up my prescriptions like at other CVS's. I try to come here in the day time only now. I also don't smoke, or drink anymore, so not picking up my old Bacardi Limon handles like I did 15 years ago.

The only downsides to this location really has nothing to do with Rite Aid itself, but the City of Oceanside. It seems like this location is a harbor for transients and drug users. There's always some meth head roaming around or legit walking around the store looting and nothing is done to stop it. I couldn't wait - I had to catch a train - so I left without the groceries and household products that I had PLANNED to buy. They lost more than $50 worth of business - they lost hundreds of dollars worth of business: I won't bother to return where they are not prompt ... and I only have 10 minutes to shop and get out the door if I want to catch my 6:36 train! They wasted more than half of my shopping time so I didn't shop today. And since they wasted my time and I came home without groceries: I'm not coming back for several months. I'm sure they didn't mind losing business due to not opening on time. I'll just give a BAD recommendation about them - and tell people not to waste their time trying to shop there. Half of the reviews on Yelp, for this store: are 1 Star reviews - half of them! I regret leaving a 5 star review last year. This smelly, dirty, bum infested location doesn't have ANY selection of products - I don't recommend it any more. The last time I was in there - a week ago - I noticed that several of their Great Value 2 LBS Smoked Turkey Breast were expired by 3 weeks - they never have time to check their stock dates so those expired meats are still sitting there for sale. The LAST Wal-Mart that literally drove me away as a customer was the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 21st Street and Imperial Ave in Barrio Logan (92113) in San Diego CA. They closed that store YEARS ago as unprofitable ... and the store still sits there abandoned: their manager kept discontinuing the best selling items, one-by-one: saying "Well, I couldn't keep it in Stock: So I quit ordering it.". After they discontinued everything that I was buying there - I never went back - the store closed permanently 6 months later: and nothing ever replaced it. That manager never got re-hired by Wal-Mart, either. This Wal-Mart is going to wind up just like that one did, and exactly like the 99¢ Only store that was next door: if they keep up this VERY Bad Excuse for customer service - opening ONLY 5 minutes late - not a big thing. When I tried to tell someone about it at the front there was no one there... just a reminder to always check expiration dates. This pharmacy is also almost always out of all my prescriptions so I send those to a different store. There was one time recently when I walked in and someone greeted me which is so different from my typical experience here. I will definitely update if it continues to improve.

At 70 years old and with numerous medical conditions, I was tired of the big pharmacies-where they question some of your medications or act as if they know better than your doctor-and believe me it happens. Tarun always makes sure to get your prescriptions filled in a timely matter, stays calm even when the phones are ringing off the hook and always takes the time to listen. You won't find that at a big pharmacy--I cannot recommend Oceanside Pharmacy highly enough. Even though I dont think he even reads the reviews-he is the best!!
