The young lady who works in the pharmacy is the absolute nicest person I've ever seen in a pharmacy. I wish I would've remembered her name, but she probably late 20s, short, black curly hair. Always has a big smile on her face and is always very friendly. The pharmacy was always on top of my prescriptions and was almost too on top of everything. The would call and text all the time almost immediately with updates on my prescriptions. I moved back down to Mira Mesa about a month ago after living up in the Oceanside area for two years. And the Walgreens down here in Mira Mesa has been a nightmare to deal with about getting my stuff transferred down here. The inconsistencies in service from one pharmacy to another is absolutely maddening. They're as bad in customer service as the DMV is. I like to get that lady's name who works in the Oceanside pharmacy and send her a thank you letter. She's a rare employee indeed! She's actually friendly! What a concept! read more

whoever is the head at the pharmacy is confusing as fuck, called asking when my prescription would be ready and he proceeded to tell me my 30 day count prescription should last me about 6 weeks if i don't take it on weekends(no idea how he came up with that figure), and told me he wouldn't be able to refill my meds until my doctor changed the legal wording on my meds. so i do that, i get my doctor to call the pharmacy and my doctor says everything went fine, i come down the next day to pickup my meds and the head guy is off but he cancelled the prescription outright with no note as to why, now i need to get my doctor to resend the prescription in order to get my medication, thanks to this guy ive been off my meds for 6 days now because he has dementia and the cognitive skills of a 3rd grader, please get your shit together!, otherwise the staff is calm and friendly and straight to business. read more

I have shopped in Walgreens Store three times already. Their prices on their Banana Boat Sunscreen for $15.00 is very expensive. Also their Alkaline Double AA Batteries price is $9.00 when I could have purchased these 2 items at The Dollar Tree Store for $1.25 for each and I would have saved a lot of money in my budget. The Pros - the positives are Walgreens is always having Sales on their CANDY like 2 Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds Candy Bar, 2 for $4.00 and they're Hersheys Dark Chocolate Candy Bar - 3 for $6.00. The customer service staff at Walgreens Store is excellent. John and Richard these 2 Cashiers are always very helpful and friendly towards me . This Walgreens Store has Air Conditioning, this store is very clean and organized inside, and there is a huge selection on their different brands on various products that is in stock in their store. read more

Four stars are for Pharmacist. He was calm and is clearly making the best of his situation. Pharmacy techs are rushed. Problems could be solved quicker and more effectively if they took the time to actually listen. Instead, they rush through the conversation and cut you off only to come back three or four times to correct themselves or fix something. In the end they still messed up my prescription, luckily it wasn't something major. Again, the pharmacist really stood out here. He kept his cool even after he tripped over a box the girls left in the walkway. Give these girls some Ritalin. They can't finish one thing before messing up three others. read more

Went in to the photo counter to pickup my online order on March 15 2026 at around lunchtime. I checked in and waited for 15-20 minutes with no help whatsoever. So I went in again today March 17 2026 at night thinking someone would be able to help me. Bad idea. I waited the same amount of time with no one even acknowledging that I was there. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. The staff is slow and an average wait time for help is 30 minutes. There is absolutely no is no customer service. They were supposed to open at 2:00 after lunch break and it is now 2:20 and still no one back from lunch break. They have now opened up and the prescription they called and told me was ready pickup is actually not ready. This is the last time I will be going to Walgreens for anything. The pharmacy manager, Mahesh, should be "called on the carpet" by corporate because of the way the pharmacy is run. I've had it with this Walgreens. The pharmacy is slow, disorganized, and completely unreliable. Even after getting a notification that my prescription was ready, I still waited over 30 minutes just to be told it wasn't. This happens way too often. What really pushed me to write this review is the staff. The manager, "V"and the rest of the team are extremely rude and completely unwilling to help. It feels like you're bothering them just by asking a simple question. No one takes responsibility, no one communicates, and no one seems to care that customers are standing around confused and frustrated. Zero sense of urgency or customer service. Absolutely the worst, most disorganized business I have ever been to. I waited in the Pick-Up line at the pharmacy for something they keep behind the counter. While standing in line for 35 minutes with only 3 people ahead of me, I witnessed them not only lose 2 customers' prescriptions, they also kept a guy waiting over 2 hours. He mentioned he'd tried to pick his up the day before and they still weren't ready even though they sent notification that it was done. Another customer complained they couldn't fill her pain pills because they were out-of-stock. Alas, they let customers mingle close to the counter while they called their doctors for updated medication info who didn't want to "lose their place in line"! So much for privacy, eh?! When I got to the front, their "system for pseudo-ephedrine" was down and they wouldn't let me purchase the decongestant I wanted. Overall, I rarely ever say this about any business, but avoid this pharmacy! It SUCKS. read more

Why is a medication here cost 10 times the price, more than at Walmart. Example, approximately 3 wees ago. My Doctor wrotte a Perscription in office. Asked, where would you like to have it filled? I thought of the nearest place to my home. Boy, big mistake. I pull up to Walgreens drive thru, hand over my Perscription. $102.00. My wife called 3x for my sons medicine which is very important for his heart, and was told it would be ready at 4:30 then they said a few more hours just for her to call again and be told by someone completely different that they don't even have it. Absolute worst! Avoid! 1 1/2 yrs I've heard staff shortage. Apparently they aren't ever going to fix this storage. I wait 45-1hr each time I go to get a prescription. I'm have hypothyroidism so I must take my thyroid tablet daily. Thus I must refill my prescription often. This place take forever and have said something is ready only to find its not. They never answer their phones, been on hold over an hour currently. Drive thru is rarely ever open. Pharmacist is randomly not there so when that happens it's a wasted trip because you can't pick up meds even though they are ready. They partial filled one scrip only 5 pills! and that confused the insurance so now insurance won't approve my other 85 pills because it's seen as fully filled. Walgreens error. It's thyroid medication, I need to take it daily. Just avoid this place. After 1 1/2 yrs it's obvious they aren't gonna improve. They've only gotten worse. An elderly man told me 65 yrs they've been like this. Sad. read more

OMG. I am disabled walking with a cane and very unstable. I go to the counter to pick up my prescription and the clerk is trying someone on the computer. Not training them to help customers but where to find stuff on the computer. I said "when will the training session be over so I can pick up my prescription". She rudely said that she was teaching. I understand training and teaching but when an obviously struggling disabled person walks up the the counter you think they would drop that and help the customer. BUT NO. I waiting about 10 minutes and they finally assisted me. I had to sit down because I was unstable. THEN what I was picking up was just 9 pills that they had shorted me when I first filled AND PAID for the complete prescription. When I asked why am I paying again when I already paid for the complete prescriptions. The new girl who had no idea started making things up like maybe it's this or maybe it's that. It was only an additional $1.88 but o wanted to know the reasoning for paying more when I already paid for the prescription. EVERY TIME I GO TO THAT WALGREENS ON MISSION THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Poor RITE AID people who are getting their prescriptions transferred there. WHOA...SOOOOOOO AWFUL! We are stunned how TERRIBLE the pharmacy is and appalling customer "service." On hold for ten minutes, they accidentally picked up and could hear them laughing..put back on hold. Finally answered and we asked to transfer my heart meds from another Walgreens (La Quinta..also bad) ..was on hold AGAIN, she rudely came back saying there's nothing they can do!!!!! Despite the fact that of COURSE they can transfer within Walgreens. You can google it!!! And we've done it. Called at 1:10 on Saturday, November 18 and the woman handling pharmacy calls AND the pharmacist on call should be fired. They were so rude and just totally refused to help. The Pharmacy here is so unorganized and unprofessional! Every single time I come to pick up my medication after they call me to let me know it's ready, they say it's not ! They still say they didn't call me and I show them the voicemail they left me. They ask each other who call me and no one speaks up! Unbelievable! When I showed up at 1 o'clock the pharmacy was closed even though the signs clearly say open till nine employees told me they were just closed today. This pharmacy was busy - walk-in traffic and drive-thru. Despite how busy they were - they took me as a walk-in for a covid booster. Not to mention, their credit card system was down and they were trying to take care of so many people. CVS - terrible. They not only had covid vaccine inventory - they had people doing nothing - nobody waiting for vaccine and still would not take a walk-in customer without an appointment. What a difference. this is not a review of the Walgreens staff, they have always been very nice. This is a review of WALGREENS photo service. twice I have ordered a photo book online, then received an email that it was ready to be picked up. But when I go tot he store, it is not there. The first time, I ordered a photo book and I never got it and had to call for a refund. I decided to give it one more try, ordered another photo book. It took me a long time to design it online. Yesterday got an email saying "come and pick up your order, it is ready". so I went (in the rain), to pick it up. Well, it was not there! ugh! so, I called the main Walgreens number and the lady on the phone tells me "your order will be ready for pick up on the 23rd. (today is the 20th--the email was sent to me on the 19th) I asked her why I got an email saying the order was ready? She told me to ask about that at my local Walgreens. Needless to say I will never trust Walgreens photo again. That is too bad cuz it used to be really good. Walgreens has gone down hill over the past few years though. too bad. I didn't write a review last time because I thought maybe the male pharmacist was just having an off day and everybody has an off day but he's clearly biased against weight loss medication. Both times I had an issue. I've been on this weight loss medication for six months and there was a shortage so my doctor sent in a prescription the lowest dose, because it was available. I pick up prescription two days later they filled my prescription the correct dose. . I was very relieved. I came all the way down here during traffic and as soon as I come up there, he grills me instead I've already gotten a box. My insurance is very greedy. If I wasn't supposed to get this medication, they wouldn't have cleared it! I'm not a person who cries discrimination, but I could feel the discrimination against fat people from this pharmacist. They have a problem we're FAT they have a problem and we're trying to lose weight. The last time I came and I asked him a question about the lower dose. He gave me a smart remark and said well you need to keep up your exercise regimen and eat right I have lost 103 pounds and I am in the gym every damn day doing an hour and 30 minutes of cardio how dare this clown. I will never come to this pharmacy. I don't like his vibe if you are on any of the weight loss medication's find a different pharmacy. There are a lot of people in America who are biased against these medication's. But being a pharmacist, you should not be biased against any medication why are you a pharmacist? It is clear that they cannot keep up with the demand of these medications and now I understand why people use Amazon so they don't have to deal with people judging them like this!!! I have worked incredibly hard to lose 103 pounds. And clearly, sir you became a pharmacist not a doctor so I will follow the instructions of my doctor and not take any judgment from a pharmacist matter fact I'm going to see if Amazon takes my prescription because at least Amazon keeps their judgment to themselves. read more

After being in the drive thru for over 30 minutes at the window, I was able to observe the dynamic in this pharmacy and what a poorly run pharmacy. Too many people with only a select few actually knowing what is going on. One poor worker you could tell was just finding things to do because she had no direct job. Second time coming to this location for 1 picture pick up that's supposed to be a hr ready and both times it's taken over 24 HOURS and when I show up they still have to print it. I don't understand how it takes that long for ONE single picture. On top of that, the young lady this morning (6/16 9:30 am) working the photo area didn't want to ring me up when I was only purchasing a photo after waiting 10 + minutes while she rang up another customer who wasn't purchasing any photos at this location. Walgreens is useful for their Pharmacy and photo printing. They have just about everything you need, a small grocery section, get well cards and makeup. They are about the same as CVS and Rite Aid, they're all a little pricey unless you have a customer card. I've never had a problem here with the employees they all seem to be pretty friendly with me. Sometimes it can be pretty busy and usually they have only one cashier which makes no sense to me but whatever. Also they may try to get you to buy some extra candy that they have on special or donate some money to a good cause. The location is great the parking lot is pretty big and they have a drive thru pharmacy. Overall Wallgreens is a little pricey but it is convenient. read more

This is the absolute WORST pharmacy I've ever been to. Last night when I stopped by to pick up my prescription they had had it for about 5 hours and it still wasn't filled. They told me 30 minutes, which I couldn't wait. I told them I would be back the next day. I was just in the store at the photo department. John an older worker was helping all of us in the photo department. A women with with black glasses came to assist him. She seemed very frustrated with him and didn't hold back. She was rude to him because he needed assistance. I felt like this was extremely unprofessional and unkind to the older gentleman. Once in the queue it tells you are 3rd then 2nd in line, it just cycles between music and ringing.
