THE WORSE PLACE. I came to pick up a prescription for a friend who was having breathing issues. The door was closed and locked. Went through the drive through to pick up her prescription. Went to pay it with my phone and the pharmacy staff named Colleen basically says she can't take the payment. I explained I've done Apple Pay before through the drive through and I'm more than happy to pay inside but the doors are locked. She just says there's not much I can do. I explained how my friend is having a hard time breathing and needs her inhaler and that they are suppose to be 24 hours. She makes it seem like I'm the one at fault and just cannot take my phone to pay for the prescription. I said is there anything else we can do because my friend needs her medication. She just says no with no empathy once so ever. I asked to talk to a manager. She says the manager can't come. I call the store to talk to a manager. No one answers. Spent 40 minutes dealing with inhumane people who can't accommodate how to take a payment when it's their fault. I asked when the store would open and she says she doesn't know. Literally all she had to do was take my phone and tap for payment so that my friend can have her life saving prescription. I don't often wish badly on people but I really hope that woman Colleen gets the karma she deserves. I hope that one day, she'll need life saving help from someone and she receives the same treatment she provided. I wish her all the suffering and pain she deserves. read more

Staff is amazing! They are always so caring to everyone who comes in. The pharmacy is closed for lunches at 11am 645pm and 1am and they have that posted in the door so you are aware before you get to the pharmacy. Went to go pick up a prescription. Waited in line 20 minutes was told that the prescription was not completed yet and it would be another 15 minutes. Advised we will wait till it is ready. Was told to pull out of the drive-through and come back in 15 or 20 minutes and it should be ready. All the bad ratings are for a reason. I can live with the fact that they are under staffed and slow. The pharmacists (a couple in particular) pre-judge people and make decision based on how they feel about you regardless what your doctor or insurance says. I kept coming back, because I have done nothing wrong. I will say, when I complained the manager listened to me. However, nothing changed. Scheduled an appointment for a COVID booster shot here. My appointment was scheduled at 730, I assumed I'd be out of there by 8 at the latest considering the shot takes about 30 seconds. I've gotten 5 COVID shots so far in the last few years and it's never taken more than 30 minutes from walking in the door to out (none scheduled at Walgreens in the past). This time, it took about 20 minutes just to successfully check in. I showed up a few minutes before my appointment and got in like at the COVID shot check in counter - the lady checking in people in and collecting insurance info didn't seem to know what she was doing. It took her about 10-15 mins to finish checking in the two ladies in front of me, when it came to my turn I gave her my insurance card as I had already filled everything else out online. She wasn't able to input it for some reason and kept insisting my DOB was incorrect which is odd cause I've used that insurance several times in the past, she finally called someone else to help who was able to resolve it right away. Then I waited over 20 minutes to get seen, at this point it's 40 minutes past my appointment time. Several people are sitting there waiting obviously annoyed. The guy who administered the shot was super nice and apologetic for the wait + the shot itself was completely fine. The wait time is ridiculous though and it does not make sense to schedule so many people back to back when you don't have the staffing or capability to see all the patients you have scheduled - if I wanted to wait that long I would have gone to a walk in clinic rather than scheduling an appointment ahead of time. Would not recommend this pharmacy at all. read more

Pre judged, understaffed,always out of medication, as a result I started moving my scripts to CVS much more reliable, Recently my doctor made the mistake of sending my script their instead of CVS and yes the same damn run around my script has been in progress for the last 8 hours an entire shift ridiculous. I went in person to see what the problem was and they said it couldn't be filled for three more days which was BS my doctor approved it the insurance approved it I asked them if anyone owned a calculator because, 90 pills divided by 4 times a day is 22.5 days it's day 23. Miraculously they were able to fill it when confronted. Definitely they prejudge people without knowing your medical history. read more

I have not stepped inside a Walgreens in over 18 months due to a HIPAA violation. However, my daughter just picked up her prescription from this pharmacy and when she got home and opened the stapled prescription bag it was another customers after visit summary with his diagnosis, medication and follow up instructions! I immediately called the store and requested the store manager. After reporting this violation to Ken, the assistant store manager, I could tell he couldn't care less. He basically said that these things happen. Walgreens will no longer be my daughters pharmacy and we have no idea who received her paperwork. Customers beware! This is the only Walgreens in the area, I mean like 30 miles, that can't tell you if they have it over the phone, you have to come in. The stores from Channahon till Aurora can give me that information over the phone. Find another profession if you don't want to help people. I have been coming to this Walgreens for years. I need to move my prescriptions to another pharmacy. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Every time I gone here they make a mistake. I tried the mail order service a few months ago to spare myself and was charged twice for one prescription. They said it probably happened because there was the charge on the card initially and then the tech charged it to my card again when the delivery service picked it up. And they didn't know how to refund it! Currently been sitting for almost thirty minutes waiting for a prescription they lost! Literally, lost it. They filled it and I tried to pick it up, but they lost it. They spent nearly thirty minutes searching through their bins and can't find it! They lost a prescription medication! Can I give it 0 stars? Spent over a half an hour stuck in the drive thru. Not sure what the issue is or why It should take so long to pick up a prescription but this happens pretty much every time I'm in the drive thru. Inside is not better they focus more on drive thru customers it seems like but never when I'm in that line. Sometimes it takes a week for them to fill your prescription and you just have to live without your asthma meds for a week. Or they don't run your insurance properly and say your insurance doesn't cover it (and when you call the insurance company they do) and then Walgreens will refuse to check the insurance again. Time to take my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

I get all of my prescriptions from this Walgreens. Generally, I call them to let them know I'm coming and when I arrive 15 minutes later it's ready. I am always a procrastinator and call right when I need refills but they always have me covered. They are really busy here and always have a line, however.. When I do get to the front, I feel like they take the time to make sure I'm getting my discounts and ask me if I have any questions every time, which is nice. They need to hire more competent people in the pharmacy. Maybe some that understand how insurance works to get scripts filled. The drive thru is always a joke. Expect to wait at least 45 mins. Did a pick up order. Said it would be ready in 30mins. Came in over and hour to see it was ready. kristy the manager here didn't even greet friendly. Said it wasn't ready. I ask if I could pick up the Order myself and bring it to her, due to I'm not from around there. She said I could but she would cancel the order if I did do it. Then keep complaining about how they are short staff and they keep giving her workers that are not 21 years old. A customer doesn't want to hear this. The Walgreens Advocate clinic in this location was very unprofessional when they canceled my appointment the day of. I was already waiting in the Walgreens parking lot trying to get ahold of their front desk for fifteen minutes. They gave me the BS excuse that they were closed for the day when I had made the appointment with them only two days prior. When they canceled on me they gave me a phone number to reschedule for another day at whole different location... this whole process took over an hour and it was the worst experience I've had in any Walgreens clinic I have ever been. read more

So I get a prescription from an attending physician because my Doctor Fell ill and I was at my appointment for over 3 hours, when a on call finally came In, blood pressure medication and hydrocodone 5/325 they call the doctors office who says I'm not a patient of his. They then refuse to fill my Script, I call their dr office and explain their doctor is filling in for My doctor and was given his direct phone number. I head up to Walgreens and call him and this lady who's something else says I don't talk on other peoples cell phones, she then makes him call the Walgreens number, just a giant headache....will never do business with Walgreens again after this She then threaten to call the cops on me, for what I've yet to determine but the police came while I was on phone with corporate office and we took a selfie together Now the police have come to My home and told me I am not allowed back, although the store manager didn't even speak to me to get my side, just automatically made a snap judgement! Understaffed and untrained! My appointment for a covid booster was at 6:15pm on a weeknight. I rushed to get out of work on time and when I get there the pharmacy is in disarray. 5 people are ahead of me for their vaccines and have been waiting 20 min. Already according to the tech on the pharmacy register who yells to the rest of the staff " hey, is anyone going to get on these vaccines? These people have been waiting over 20 min!". The drive through is non stop, the walk ins are non stop and even though it makes me nervous I stay to get my shot because I took the next day off of work in case I have side affects. I wait about 40 minutes and finally get my turn. I'm exhausted and don't pay attention, as I'm talking to the tech I realize she just pinched the fat of my arm and injected the dose incorrectly. The next few days my arm is sore with a big red bulge and very hot. The day I took off for side affects didn't matter because the vaccine didn't start going into my system until 30 hours later when I got chills, headache, fever etc. Had to take a sick day that I couldn't afford to take. Called the pharmacist who seemed very disinterested in my concern that the shot should have gone into the muscle. The staff was nice and working hard but lacked training. Seemed like no one was running the shift. Bottom line...Don't go here for vaccines or medical treatment. read more

My script was sent to this Walgreens in error from the doctors office. I always go to Walgreens at Caton Farm Nd Ridge. I thought it would be fine , Walgreens is Walgreens! Wrong!!! 5 days and counting and after numerous phone calls from me and promises from Walgreens I just was told that are unable to get the medicine and they put in a phone call for a replacement! Not this store, perhaps the company changed the policy but been in the drive through for 25 min because the gentleman in the next lane can't accept his insurance copay are what Walgreens says they are. This location is awful. They can't manage their prescriptions, the drive thru is slow and inefficient, and the customer service experience is awful. I've sat in the drive thru for way too long, way too often, so it is time to write a review. My latest experience, I sat in the drive thru for over 20 minutes to have the person working the window not find my prescription based on my last name and DOB. Then once she figured out who the prescription was for, she went to find it and come back to tell me it isn't ready and told me to drive around the building. I was told it would be done in 5-10 more minutes. I explained to her that when I dropped off the prescription the guy who took it said it would be done in 1 hrs and it has been over 2 hrs since I dropped it off. She gave me the excuse that they've been swamped today. The medication was crucial for my spouse's recovery to a procedure just done and the pain was quickly increasing. The physical inefficiencies in addition to the technological inefficiencies that this facility operate on makes being a Walgreens customer at this location a nightmare. I think it is time for my family to switch pharmacies. Good thing there are a bunch around. read more

I drive miles out of my way to a CVS to avoid the pharmacy in this Walgreens! Past experiences: 1. A robocall told me my prescription was ready but when I got there they had no idea that I even HAD a prescription. 2. I waited for a loooong time and was then told that they only had 1 of the 2 meds so I'd have to go somewhere else for that one. 3. Tried to pick up meds from the drive through, called in the day before. They had no record of it. 4. Always Wait, wait,wait, wait 5. Went in to get some OTC cold meds and had to go to the pharmacy to get it. Of course, they were out of the dosage I wanted. I miss my old Walgreens which is too far away now. I was told to pick up my prescription on the 22nd came in that day they did not have it prepared was told come back in 20 min and it will be ready, came back 20 min later was told they weren't able to fill it until the following day. Would have been nice for them to call me to tell me that instead of making another trip back. Called today to make sure I could pick it up. Nope they can't refill it until the 26th. They are a bunch of idiots. Never taking any prescriptions there again. Who knows if they are even giving me the right meds. read more

Purchased a gift card and tried returning it for a different gift card and the manager told me they couldn't return it, even though I had the receipt and it clearly stated on the back that all purchases could be returned within 30 days. I don't often write reviews, but after my encounters with this particular Walgreens tonight, I felt obligated. My infant daughter is sick and we were calling around looking for a device to rent from a pharmacy as we didn't want to pay $50-$100 out of pocket. My wife and I wanted to call ahead as we live at least 20 minutes away. It took forever to get through to the pharmacy, but when we finally had them on the line they ended up confirming that they had the device available for rent as long as we had the prescription, as we did. I drove down to drop off the script, and there were 8 people ahead of me in line. Every last one of them had a comment about the poor service they were experiencing. When it was finally my turn, i was informed that it would take about 2 hours. I thought that was a pretty bad, but i was willing to drive back then to pick it up. When i returned, there was another line of unsatisfied customers. When it was my turn again, they informed me that all rental machines were unavailable and my insurance didn't cover the cost to buy one. At that point, I just wanted to get my daughter the treatment that she needed and didn't care about the cost. The person that helped me on both visits was very pleasant, but that was the only thing that i would consider remotely positive about my interactions with them tonight. I echo what I heard from the majority of the other people there tonight, "i am NEVER coming back." There are many other decent pharmacies around. Avoid this one if you can. read more
