I went into the Walgreens pharmacy this morning after going to emergency, the pharmacist Rachel (I believe) was so friendly and helpful. I honestly have never experienced such a positive experience going to pick up a prescription. She gave me the time frame of 15-20 minutes and was done before that, extremely fast. She saw me waiting back in line and made it a point to call me over to check me out at the register and explain the medicine. All of the employees at Walgreens greeted me and asked me if I needed help as I was walking around. Customer service is the #1 thing for me, it is so simple but so few do it. The nighttime pharmacist that is working there right now is completely rude and knows nothing about proper customer service! I was the second car in line to be helped out of 3 at the drive-thru and the lady in the car in front of me gets out and tells me the pharmacist told her to tell everyone in line behind her that she was the last one that he was helping because he was going on his lunch and that we all have to come back in 30 minutes after we've been waiting in line for over 30 minutes! So when I get up there I start going off on him about it and he tells me to tell the person behind me the same thing that the lady told me that he's going on his lunch and he's not helping anyone anymore! I have worked in customer service my whole life and proper customer service would be to take care of the line of people that you have waiting for you to help them then you go take your lunch whether it's a late lunch or not you help the customers first!!!! read more

Wait time in the drive up window at 11:20 I'm still here it is now 11:50. Someone pulled into the second lane and was helped before the person in front of me and also me. It's been 30 min so far. The other person pulled up and was helped in Les than 10 min. I don't see how this is fair. Being that there is only one person working nights there should be a better system set up. This isn't the first time I've waited ages to pick up a script. I don't like to go up to the door at night cuz there's always someone creepy out there either just watching you or asking for money. read more

Today is Christmas Day 12/25/2019 and thank heavens Renown urgent care was open because I had a migraine so bad that would have other wise sent me to the ER. The doctor ordered me 2 prescriptions and had it sent to this particular Walgreens because this was one of the few pharmacy's open today. I waited 4 hours to call them because I know it's got to be busy there today. So I called to find out if the prescriptions were ready and the first lady I talked to said one was filled and she didn't see the other prescription at all. So I spoke with the pharmacist {who was rude} but did find the other prescription and said it would take 30 to 40 minutes and it would be ready. sigh of relief. NOPE.... we live in the north hills and my husband called me to tell me they did not have the medication in stalk!!!!! @#$%!!!! You couldn't tell me that when I had your dumb ass on the phone you couldn't bother to call me to let me know and not make the trip { yes I told then I live out in the north valleys}, Never mind!!! I completely cancelled my entire order with them and called the doctor back who is more than willing to send my prescriptions in to my regular pharmacist and I can just pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully I do not end up in the ER tonight!!!! read more

While the pharmacy is 24-hours, there always seems to be a line in the evenings, and seriously, you want to stand around for 15 minutes in line with sick people? Then they're constantly running out of stuff and always lie to you about when it's coming in. On top of that, there are panhandlers outside always begging for money, and if you don't give them anything, you can only imagine they'll scratch up your car in the parking lot. This place is a serious dump. A friend of mine got punched by one of the panhandlers and the police arrested the panhandler, but some store employee came out trying to throw them both off the property and didn't even call police. This is a big Walgreens. Looks like a spaceship from far away since it's floating over the freeway. Wish it was closer to the downtown casinos, but the location serves its purpose to cater to the university folks and the casino folks. It's definitely a lot cheaper to get your drinks and snacks here than inside the casinos. read more

The staff here are so unbelievably nice and my rating reflects that. The reason I am writing this review and giving them a 4 star is due to the horribly dangerous place this is. In my many experiences going into this place I have seen numerous robberies and theft that make me wonder how anyone could work there. The lady that I normally see is always so sweet and I commend her for that based on what she goes through on a daily bases. Whatever she is getting paid is not enough. I do not drop off and pick up prescriptions at this location due to the insane crime rate. read more

This is for all the complaints about the Walgreens pharmacy. The complaints are 100% true. I worked in this pharmacy for a couple of months and that was all I could handle. Not only are the customers that pick up prescriptions rude but so is the staff. They have horrible pharmacist running this place. Very, very unorganized. do NOT waste your time with this pharmacy. they don't care about wasting your time, being downright rude, and do not want you to refill your prescription. they'll do anything to avoid having to actually give you your medication. they even listed made up "laws", telling me because I'm from California that i can't fill a prescription in Nevada, completely untrue. just drive an extra mile, avoid this pharmacy at all costs. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They have given me other people's medications, lost my insurance information and misinformed me of the validity of my own insurance several times. There is ALWAYS a wait of at least 45 minutes even for pick-up. Today they told me my prescriptions would be ready in 45 minutes and I said I'd wait. Knowing their style, I waited an hour and 15 minutes before returning and was told they hadn't even begun filling it yet but would now and could I wait another 20 minutes. I'm surrounded by several other incredibly pissed and confused customers. They spent a great deal of time trying to locate one man's ID and the medication he'd purchased after a pharmacy technician "misplaced" them. They are not quick to admit fault or apologize. If they weren't by my apartment I'd shun this place like the DMV. Spare yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. read more

Super clean Walgreens! I honestly think this is the best one I've ever been to...not that I make it my goal to find all the Walgreens stores in the world, but this one is worth yelping about...just saying. I walked over to this location from our hotel in desperate need of some Benadryl for my little one. (Don't know what happened....but my child broke out in a major rash. That's another story though.) It's walking distance from most of the hotels. Less that a ten minute walk one way, to be exact. I was amazed at the size of this place and the way this place was built. It's huge! They had what I came for and then some. This store is well lit and well stocked. There wasn't any empty space on any shelves! Impressive. Coming here as the sun went down, I was sure that this place would have been a mess. Things shoved here and there and stuff on the floor. I was completely wrong. Kinda like betting on Red when you should have bet on Black. I guess my way of thinking isn't always the right way...(clears throat) like gambling...I came home with an empty wallet. The location of this Walgreens is pretty cool, it sits on top of an overpass. The shelves are well stocked and it's pretty clean for the most part. Something about this Walgreens seem off. Not sure if it's just me or the employees smell like they just got done with happy hour in the back room. Every time I visit Reno I always make my way here to grab somethings I've missed. This Walgreens is good. It is quite big and has all the essential items you could possibly need from a Walgreens store. The layout is great and the aisles are long and it isn't that crowded. I like that it is open 24 hours and is walking distance to many of the tourist attractions in town. It seems to be in a safe area, except be careful with the freeway cars coming and going. I didn't notice many (or any) panhandlers the few times I have came here but they hang out in any business. You could either ignore 'em or give them your change. The thing I don't like about this Walgreens is that when I went there was only one cashier for a long line of people. I felt sorry for the girl behind the counter on her own. I'm not sure how other people's experiences have been at this location, but I can say mine has been unsatisfactory to say the least. My doctor had to call my prescription in twice before they had it on file. Prior to going to the store, I called and inquired about my prescription, being told it was being processed as we spoke. When I arrived at the store, the attendant told me that they had only received my order and it would take about 15 minutes to take care of. Not that I mind waiting, I'm just not a fan of the inefficient running of the pharmacy. I definitely won't be using walgreens again. read more

The only great thing about this pharmacy is that it is open 24 hours, which is a must for me as I work until 9:30 pm daily. Most of the staff is nice, but they are always extremely cautious when giving me my medications... This can be frustrating. I do not like being made to feel like a criminal for picking up my regularly prescribed medication. It always feels like some sort of back-alley drug deal, the way each pharmacist double and triple checks your name, date of birth, address, and sometimes even ID in a paranoid frenzy. I've been coming here for years-- give me a break! The wait is always super long too... Even in the dead of night in the drive-thru. I've been coming to this pharmacy at least twice a month for the last 9 months. Every time I come in, the line is at least 6 people deep with one person helping at the register. It literally takes me no less 30 minutes to reach the front of the line normally taking longer. The only time this was not true was at 11 at night. I understand it is the closest pharmacy to the nearest ER as well as the closest to weekly motels with people who are pain pill abusers. However, they do not understand customer service whatsoever nor do they understand patient privacy as two employees are sitting in front of me talking about a lady's insurance needs and how to bill the different insurances. I've been sitting at the register as long as this has taken me to type and they haven't even acknowledged me. Ah, finally she looks up. It's now been an hour since I've had the doctor fax in a request for a simple anti biotic and will take another "20 minutes" to fill. If you can, avoid the place if you want to be treated correctly and promptly. As we speak, I'm looking at moving my prescriptions to somewhere else so I can avoid the incompetent and lack of caring staff. read more

While it is convenient, the service could definitely use an overhaul. I realize there are a lot of homeless individuals in the downtown area, but seriously... I came here with an emergency bathroom situation for my son with special needs. He had to use the restroom really bad and has been prone to a few accidents at times. I begged them to let him use the restroom, while shopping there and they turned me away. I pleaded with them saying he was having some stomach issues and they told me to find a gas station down the street. I was never so upset in my life. How dare they behave this way. I truly hope they never find themselves in a position like that. My son had no idea why they wouldn't let him use it and was crying because he had to go to the bathroom right then. Thank God he made it to the gas station a half mile or so down the road because we could have had a huge mess in our car or on the Walgreens floor. which could have been a huge embarrassment for everyone involved. read more
