Do not use the pharmacy here. I recently had a C Section and getting my medication was an absolute hassle requiring several phone calls and waiting for days. The way a normal pharmacy works - receiving a prescription from a doctor and filling it within one to two days, simply doesn't work at this pharmacy. For me the last straw was this past week when I had a very basic prescription sent over and then received an alert the pharmacy was "temporarily closed" for several days. This place is unreliable. I don't blame the staff, I'm sure the biggest issue is staffing. read more

This review is for the pharmacy specifically: My doctor sent in an rx, I called to make sure they got it and didn't need any other info from me after about 4 hours. I was told they got it, everything looks great - would be filled the next day by 2pm. The next day I call to make sure it's ready through the automated system- can't find it. I speak to someone in the pharmacy and they said they didn't have my phone number, so they didn't do anything. I give them my number and then I'm told it will be filled the following day by 2pm. The next day, I call to check if it's ready through the automated system again- doesn't find it. I speak to someone in the pharmacy and this time it's not filled because they don't have my insurance information. I give them the info and am again told it will be filled by the next day at 2pm. I call the next day to check if it's filled through the automated system. Surprise, surprise: it's not found. I speak to someone in the pharmacy and they say it's not filled because they don't have my phone number. This time I put up more of a fuss and relay the story. I'm told it will be filled in 20 minutes. After about 2 hours, I go to pick it up and it's not filled. After an argument, it gets filled in 20 minutes and I'm sent on my way. I'm glad this wasn't extremely important medication as it may be for others. I can't imagine going through this every refill read more

This location has become so unreliable over the years. They won't have a pharmacist in store and can't give prescriptions on those days. They will not process prescription transfers in a timely fashion. The hold times on the phone can be up to an hour(with the average being 20 minutes). I don't know if the employees are being over worked, if they are understaffed or what the deal is, but if you're needing a reliable pharmacy, this isn't it. read more

Let's see.... Have to give at least one star which I think is ridiculous. So let me start by saying this is not every Walgreens. But the one on 3111 W. Hunt Highway has to be the worse. I say that because the cashier and the pharmacist is a real a$$hole! The cashier always has an attitude no matter what time a day it is. (That's the cashier at the front of the store) She is super ignorant and has absolutely no people skills. But the ignorant egotistical pharmacist takes the cake. To make a long story short. He refused to refill a medication because, well, because he didn't want to. Canceled the script and while I was still talking hung up. Now, he left the patient with no medication. Oh and this all happened on a Saturday at 430pm. Knowing still that patient had no medication (because he got the script in Friday and gave some lame excuse when I called Saturday to find out what was going on with script. Oh and have been filling it there for 10 years. Yes 10 years) and we would now have to wait to call Monday to get a new script sent to another pharmacy. I will be looking into filing a complaint with the Arizona state board. read more

The pharmacy's hours are horrible and constantly change--they've changed 5 times in the last 3 months! Now they're only open M-F 9-6 so the drive thru and the line inside always take AT LEAST 20+ minutes. It's a complete nightmare! Oh and they gave me a medication label with someone else's name and address on it. I tried to call and explain for the sake of the other patient but the rep said "We can't help with that. Go back to the pharmacy." I would but they're only open when I'm at work! Absolutely atrocious-- we just switched to the Fry's pharmacy because I can't take it anymore read more

This location is super easy to get in and out of, with a nice parking lot and a very clean interior. They have everything you need, and the pharmacy is staffed by multiple employees, so they are never behind in getting your scripts out. I typically hit up the CVS in Mesa just out of habit as it's where my insurance is accepted and where I have always gone, but when I do need to get into a pharmacy quickly for non-prescribed drugs this is always a backup choice I will hit if I can. read more

Worst pharmacist Thomas! Horrible customer service, completely rude and disrespectful. I only need to go there for emergency prescriptions but after he just lied to me I'll never use them again. He told me my doctor called and canceled my refill on a Sunday. Are you serious? Doctors aren't open on Sunday you moron. The last 3 times I've been there, Thomas has been a total tool! went to pick up my wife's Rx on Saturday, 3/18...and the pharmacy was closed. The decision was made on Friday night to close on the weekends for the foreseeable future because they were short staffed. No consideration for the patients...no thought to perhaps waiting a week so they could notify customers/patients of the new hours? Nope...none whatsoever. I called the Walgreens down the road, and they were not advised of this closing until Friday night, so they were unable to staff properly. Complete disregard for patients and a complete lack of any customer service. Disgraceful! read more

Wrong prescriptions seem to happen often here. This pharmacy is understaffed and can be quite rude.

Elisa works at the pharmacy at this location and every time I go through to pick up she is so very helpful. She's always kind and answers any questions I have. She also goes as far as searching for coupons to make sure I'm paying a reasonable price for my prescriptions. Just an all-around great person not used to this at the pharmacy. Thank you!! read more

I don't know what's up with this pharmacy. They really need to get their act together. I take 3 prescriptions and every month there's always a delay on at least one of them. Sometimes there's a delay on two of them and they always say that they're having issues getting authorization for refills. So, instead of just one trip to the pharmacy, I have to make two. I'm thinking about switching to express scripts which is a mail in order pharmacy. I'll save money that way too. read more

ATM doesn't let you get cash. I have been driving around to THREE DIFFERENT WALGREENS now. That's the only place I can get money without paying a fee. First let me state that the one star is for the attitudes of the pharmacy employees. At least they are nice. That is the only positive in an otherwise abysmal experience. Let me start out with my scripts. Two of which are controlled. Every. Single. Month there is a delay refilling them. I need these. On time. And each month they blame insurance. So I call insurance and they blame this Walgreens. So who is correct? Insurance (for once). See I previously used other Walgreens (and CVS) pharmacies and this was never an issue. Never. The problem is this, yes there are a few extra steps in filling these scripts. So they just don't do it. They are too lazy or understaffed or just don't care. So I have to go there and hear them lie about how it's insurance and I have to bust them and tell them it's not. Funny how quickly it's resolved with me standing there. On to other scripts in our family. I called in and used the automated system to fill one last night. I even hear the system recognize it needs a doctor auth because it's out of refills. Well today they try to tell my wife I never called it in. Obviously nonsense. Normally I'd chalk it up to "stuff happens" because once in a while it does, that's just life. But it happens far too often with this place. The second script, which my wife hasn't had in three days....they actually filled it. Problem is we were short on money last night so I just wanted to pick up a couple until we got paid. The ignorant or lazy lady told me it would be the same price if I picked up a few or all of them. On what planet does that even make sense? So I glared at her for a couple of seconds and told her wrong, because this pharmacy did the very same thing for me about a month ago. She was just too lazy to do it or didn't know how and didn't care enough to find out. This is already way too long or I'd mention other stories. Suffice to say avoid. Go a couple miles down the road to the other Walgreens. read more

If I could give a negative 5 I would. The pharmacy is completely ignorant. They will not go the extra mile nor will they go the straight mile. The pharmacist on duty will not disclose full name. I have already filed a board complaint. The pharmacy has no idea what they are doing. They are not customer service oriented. In fact, I was straight out lied to by the pharmacist on duty. How do I know? I happen to be a medical biller and know the ins and outs of medical insurance. AFter being turned away for not being able to run my secondary insurance, I immediately called my old walgreens in Gilbert and within 10 minutes they filled the medication correctly with both primary and secondary insurance. read more

I dropped a disposable camera off on 11/18 to be developed. The clerk at the counter told me to fill out the information on the bag and put it in the box. The return date said 11/25. I went to get my pictures on 11/25 and was told "oh sorry, it just went out yesterday. We hardly check that box" Really!! This is a business and if you offer the service then I would expect that you would check it daily. I know disposable cameras are a thing of the past. It was my daughters only option for 5th grade camp. I will be going elsewhere for pictures from now on. read more

This pharmacy has made my life a living hell this week. The people that answer the pharmacy call center can barely speak English and the last thing I want to do when I'm sick is repeat myself so that THEY can understand. One prescription wasn't in stock so they sent my husband to a different location where he waited 1:45 minutes for them to stick a label on a blister pack. It said "waiting" but they never called his name. Today a different Rx was called in but when I called to check the status, I was told it was not called in. I had to bother my doctor who was kind enough to call again and she was told it was filled already! I called back to confirm and was told, no prescription. There was absolutely ZERO customer service this week. They could have at least tried to help. Oh, but it's 5:40 and they close at 6 so too bad for me! read more

I frequent Walgreens many many times a week. I usually go to the one by my house on Crismon and southern in Mesa Arizona, every person there knows me by name and I know their names as well as this is the most courteous friendly Walgreens I've ever been to. Now fast forward to today on my lunch break I go to the Walgreens on Hunt highway and Bellavista to purchase deodorant that I forgot to put on this morning and some other things to maximize my coupons and points I could receive. They bring a manager to the front and all she says is it's not finding any products to match that description as I'm showing her my coupon on my phone that says $7 off 2 Gillette disposable razor packages. I know there are other ways to fix this situation as I've seen the other location do it when there is an error in their system this manager however was just short and rude and very unhelpful I will never be stepping foot in this Walgreens again and it almost gives me a sour taste in my mouth to even spend money at Walgreens but since I know the one by my house is so amazing that's the only Walgreens store I will ever be giving my money to. read more
