They have good service and its a nice store. I picked up a med the other day at their pharmacy. My only complaint is this. One of the people in the pharmacy made the comment that how my Doc prescribe my med is "wrong". My Doc and the doctors I have seen through the years are very qualified doctors. For a pharmacist that does not know me or my doctor at all to have made that comment was very unethical. She is not A doctor! She is not a medical director. Is even dangerous for her to make a comment like that. We patients work with our doctors and are under their care. Personally I see extremely qualified doctors. Long time ago another pharmacist made a comment similar to that. Years ago in another pharmacy. My doctor got so angry he called them himself complaining and advising of the dangers of making statement to patients that go against his treatment. This time I did not want to bother my doctor with it. He is busy and I already know not to listen to an unethical comment made by someone who thinks they are more qualified than they are. And I suggest IN the event this happens to others to speak to a manager. Because honestly it can be dangerous. It can confuse a young or new patient. Do not use this location for the pharmacy and just go to Publix down the road. Every time I try to get a refill it's a huge problem. The pharmacist literally said he has discretion over my doctor's treatment. This guy is not a doctor and didn't seem to know what he was talking about after all the reasons he came up with not to fill a prescription that's noted by my doctor to be filled anytime. read more

After almost 2 years I've had enough. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST company I've ever dealt with. If you want to speak to the pharmacy, forget it! That's not going to happen, ever. You sit on hold for 40 minutes with the promise that you are the next to be answered. Not long after that, you are just hung up on. I was using them for a controlled substance for pain. I've waited for as long as 2 weeks for them to pull their heads out of... Heck, I even switched one meds to Express Scripts which is DONE BY MAIL and received my order faster. I can't say enough bad things about this place!!! Do yourself a favor and go to the CVS just down University, closer to the mall and you will be taken care of and you'll thank me. read more

This is the absolute worst, incompetent pharmacy in Florida. The staff (excluing the Dr pharmacist) all look at you like you have 2 heads. Not a clue with communication. ZERO STARS! Every month I pay $17 for my prescription and they never have it in stock. They text me and say it's ready and it's not there, always a pain. Yesterday I go in on May 1 and they want me to pay $4600 for my prescription. Total insanity. The place always has a very long line. Everyone is arguing with the pharmacist because they're so Inept. I have all my contact info on their site but they never call or send alerts letting me know they received my prescription nor do they notify you when they are out of stock, which happens often, they always seem to be out of stock and it takes days before they get it. I always have to call them to check on the status and most often have to ask them to transfer my prescription somewhere else. You get no communication from them read more

I had an appointment to get a shot at 4:40 PM today. I arrived 10 minutes early and all of my paperwork had been filled out online. The person at the counter at the pharmacy checked me in and told me to sit down. I waited 30 minutes and then stood at the window to find out what was going on. The same technician said "tell her to sit down and wait". No explanation as to why there was a delay. No explanation as to how much longer I would need to wait. No apology for the inconvenience. So rude and disrespectful that I ultimately left and went to another Walgreens where the pharmacy staff could not have been nicer. I agree with those who wrote that the people in this pharmacy act like they hate their jobs and they hate everybody they come in contact with. What a miserable experience. Go to Beneva and Fruitville instead. read more

the good is that it's convenient to my home, and the pharmacy staff is very helpful and friendly. . this is why i gave it a 3 stars...for those reasons. otherwise the wait time in inside or outside is ungodly long, sometimes an hour or more at what you'd think would not be a trafficky time. today i thought i'd died and gone to heaven because i only waited 20 minutes. i know they must always be short staffed but please fix it! hire more staff. my chief complaint right now is your pill bottles. first of all i want the pop off tops. omg, it is such an annoyance and trouble having the childproof tops, and even when you turn the top over you still have to unscrew which can also be an issue for some people. . this seems like a minor problem in one's life compared to world events, but isn't this about customer service.? i've always preferred walgreens over CVS, but am seriously considering switching since their wait time is less and bottles are more user friendly. ADDITIONALLY, why in the world do you order these huge bottles for teeny pills? There is absolutely no reason for this size. i can't even fit these bottles in my travel kit anymore. again, seems like a small thing to put up with in light of world crisis and huge inflationary issues. but sometimes small things matter most. thanks for reading this. . read more

This Walgreens is so sad. Walgreens is better than the long faced depressing humans who call them selves "associates" of Walgreens. Need to train on basic customer service. If you're on the phone, take a second and acknowledge the people in line. 5 people working in the pharmacy, 1 on the drive thru, 1 on the phone at the front, 2 counting pills and 1 running around with no purpose. So sad an elderly man walked up with a question and no one acknowledged him... so wrong.. need some folks who are engaged working here. Waiting for our Vaccination we watched many more walk away and frustrated as we were. This is NOT a "short staff" issue. This was a major miss in priorities of those working at the pharmacy. I'm tired of this pharmacy. I will be leaving after my incident today. They service here is terrible. Yesterday at 4 pm my doctor sent an order for 9 syringes of Lovenox for a bridge. Today, I've now been at the drive through for 20 minutes with no resolve. They had to change the order from 7 day to 9 day and they had the order since yesterday. I said I was going to wait and they didn't care other than to say "mam,if you don't move out of the drive through lane I'll call my manager". This place is the worst, always an issue here and again, the service is terrible. I'm done. Moving to Target or CVS after this. read more

Get ready for this.....I'm a diabetic on insulin and I'm flying out in 12 hours. I went to get my insulin filled here and they said my Insurance did not approve it yet and that it would take 72 hours to get approved. I told them I was flying out for 3 weeks in 12 hours and I could not go 3 weeks without my insulin since my sugar level is 363. They said there is nothing that they could do. I called my insurance while in Walgreens they informed me that they approved the cheaper version (generic) at the same time that they put original on hold. The Pharmacy failed to tell me that! They were holding out to make more money for the original more expensive one! That's right they put $$$ Over my health!!!! Walgreens is all about the "Ole mighty Dollar" rather than patient care!!!! Please. Someone get a pharmacist in this store who knows what they are doing. I have had so many problems with a certain pharmacist here. He does not know what he is doing. Susan, the pharmacist at Walgreen's 3155 University Pkwy location, was very mean, abrupt! I felt she didn't seem to be caring or empathetic in any way what so ever. She was talking over me and didn't really seem to listen to my concerns. Not a very good attitude and bad at customer relations! She needs a Dale Carnegie training course or something similar!
