Waited almost 50 minutes on the phone and still did not speak to ANYONE until I got fed up and hung up. When you go to the pharmacy itself customer service so disorganized, unfriendly and are not helpful they just want to give your meds and get on with their busy work (that does not exist). One time I called while in the pharmacy, no one picked up the phone and there was no line! It's crazy! Please go to another one even if you have to go further and outside Sunnyside. read more

It really is so sad that crime in this neighborhood has affected many retail stores. Walgreens has been hit hard. I have personally seen people just outright steal and you can tell they are not from the neighborhood. Many items that they offer (cosmetics, shampoos, candy, plus more) are locked behind glass doors which requires a staff member to retrieve these items if you want something. It can be a bit time consuming waiting but I guess they do what they have to. Now since this new system is in place it seems that they have plenty of merchandise available. I normally come in to see if there was anything that I didn't know that I needed. Their pharmacy is readily available and not crazy like one other popular pharmacy in the neighborhood. They really upkeep this store and it feels clean. They do not offer self checkout and sometimes their lines to pay is ridiculously long with one cashier open. It gets to a point sometimes where you look at what you have and ask yourself how badly you need it. I rather come here either very early in the day or at night. read more

Do not even bother calling this pharmacy unless you have 2 hours to spend waiting on hold to ask a question that would take less than 5 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. You're lucky if you are on hold for less than an hour. I spent two hours waiting for someone to answer my phone call - two hours wasted considering I had to hang up because I didn't have anymore time to wait. Insanely frustrating. read more

This store is out of the way for me, but I only go to purchase these really cheap walgreens baby wipes. Also, since they have FedEx deliveries here where they pick up, too. These are the only two reasons that I decide to make the long trek. When I go, either the line is really long or short, but there's only one person manning the register and is super duper slow. Just like a turtle. I don't even know how to ring people up, but I bet you while I try to learn, I would be faster. I don't see people walking around the floors either. Where are the employees?? I must say they're lacking in different ways. Management needs to come in and revamp this place soon! read more

I agree with everyone else -- current management sucks. Recent set of staff hired by this manager is lazy and mostly unfriendly (with one or two exceptions). Manager seems to be hiring people to hang out with rather than help customers. The FedEx thing is pathetic. Everything but the smallest package gets told to leave and drop off elsewhere because "they don't have enough space for it". Guess what, if you're repeatedly running into this problem (I've witnessed it myself a few times and I'm not even here that often), then it doesn't take a genius to realize there's demand and you should find a different or second space for the packages. Regarding pharmacy, I actually don't have anything particularly bad to say about it anymore. When Walgreens first took over there were some clearly unqualified techs working there but that seems to have been sorted. To sum up: I was really happy when Walgreens took over this location but it does not live up to the usual quality of Walgreens locations. read more

Pharmacy staff is beyond rude! They truly don't care about their customers. I was told they don't have Pharmacy manager and was directed to the store manager Mala who conveniently left for the day. Ta-da! No Managment ! I will be calling their HQ to complain if they even care. COVID vaccination line crowded people complaining that are waiting for over an hour & no one to assist them. I was picking my medicine it wasn't ready and it's my fourth time coming to pick up because they don't provide courtesy notification if your medicine is ready nor there is someone to answer your call when you want to check if your medicine is ready. This place needs strong management to walk in and fix their issues. Horrible experience! I come here every few days because of its convenient location. Store is clean and easily navigable. Shelves are neat and stocked. Clearance items are clearly marked with orange stickers and there is an aisle for "cheap" goods if you are looking for a deal. There is a weird personnel dynamic. On more than one occasion I have witnessed staff fighting loudly while checking out customers. One time, an employee tossed my purchased goods and receipt at me and said "we good???" while the store manager watched and seemed "over" it. The pharmacy seems overworked but my experiences with them have been positive especially with the person administering flu shots (pain-free!). They do seem short staffed so imagine these stressors are contributor to the personnel dynamic. read more

while in sunnyside queens its a must to visit the local neighborhood walgreens , but not really unless you are thirsty and want a snack , etc. as i stated was in sunnyside and before heading home. i made a quick stop at walgreens for paper towels, can of diet coke , a few or more boxes of movie candies which are 3 for 4 bucks which is much much cheaper then in the theater. fairly basic typical walgreens with the usually walgreens stuff and the pharmacy in the back had more customers then the front area which just had me checking up . lets give 3.5 stars for walgreens in sunnyside. read more

This branch hires some rude associates that not only gave me attitude but another customer at the same time when I visited last week. Associate wouldn't send me my fedex tracking and told me don't worry about it, he'll send it. Of course he didn't. Then gave me attitude for asking for a text confirmation (standard process). Said he's "not going to steal my package." I'm not worried about that. I'm worried I'll never get a scan so I have no proof my package was sent! Rude kid with glasses and curly hair that needs to be trained in customer empathy. Also 50/50 if photo, printer, or fedex scanner is working. Visited this branch where it's happened too many times. "Local Walgreen's Terrorizes Otherwise Lovely Neighborhood" This is one of those places that must have been built upon a portal to Hell because the vibes in here are terrible. You will wait 20 minutes to get allergy medicine that is locked behind plastic. You will wait 20 minutes to get your hair care product, which is also behind plastic unless you ask the employee to escort you around unlocking everything while you shop. A short trip to the drugstore turns into an ordeal of frustration and forced interaction during a time when I don't need to be shopping buddies with a stranger. Finally, IF THEY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED, BECAUSE THE SHELVES ARE ONLY STOCKED WITH SEASONAL GARBAGE, then you get to wait in line for 20 minutes while one totally rude cashier lady ignores you completely until she asks if I want to make a donation. I can't get in and out of here fast enough and will often walk to a different location based on whether or not I think I can handle it. YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO WEIGH THE PROS AND CONS of going to a corner store based on your mood, cause if you are even having a slightly off day, this will make it so much worse. The only place worse is the post office in Williamsburg. IFKYK. The Pharmacists are great though, very helpful!! I wish I could rate them separately. They should secede from Walgreens. read more

I got my covid vaccine here and getting an appointment for the 2nd dose you had better chances of winning the lottery. Go somewhere else, I only come here for convenience but I will no longer bothering coming back. I always get good prices here! I check the app regularly for deals and can always rely on Walgreens. I haven't gone in for prescriptions, so I can't say anything regarding that but it's big, always stocked with what I need. Have no complaints as of yet. read more

This is the FEDEX drop off for the neighborhood. This is really bad. They dont even keep your package behind the counter. they leave it out where anybody can walk off with it and if you missed the days pick up (they cant tell you when that is) then your package is just hanging out on the floor all day or all night where anybody in the store can walk off with it. They also cant tell you what time the FEDEX pick ups are. they have no idea when the FEDEX guy comes. Cant tell you if that would be 11AM or 7PM. Most importantly, they dont give you any receipt or any confirmation that you dropped your FEDEX package off which is standard. You get no proof from them that you sent the package and no tracking number. They ask for your phone number and you get a nonsense text from FEDEX that doesnt connect/link to anything. This is the only FEDEX place in the area. We need to all get together and complain about this place to FEDEX . This is ridiculous. read more

This used to be a good Rite Aid pharmacy but since Walgreens has taken over they have lost several, not one, prescriptions, asked for multiple tasks putting my Dr. Thru a lot of uneccassary work over and over, promised things to be ready and not delivered, talked down to me, lectured me without knowing my health needs and worst of all incorrectly held back pills and put my health at serious risk. Worst of all it's the manager who is the rudest and makes the biggest mistakes. Ask for Maria or just stay away. It's a disaster. This was my 1st and only visit to this location of the Walgreens superchain. The cashier told me that my card wasn't working. When I told him my card was fine, he seemed to find that it was funny as I struggled to make a purchase. I think he just didn't want to ring me up and judging from these other reviews, I am not overreacting. Sad what this world is coming to. read more

The sales person Rosemary is extremely rude and purposely tried to scam me in the amount of money she gave back after asking me if I had 3 cents because she didnt have enough change ... and since she didn't have enough money she decided to give me back less than what she owed me and thought i wouldn't check the receipt because i was in a hurry. Staff doesn't wear masks, no gloves and do not sanitize in between customers.
