    Overpriced face cream.

Caveat emptor: about a month ago I got a free offer if I filled out a survey for Walgreen. I wouldn't have paid attention except that it was from Walgreens where I get prescriptions filled. I answered the questions and picked out my free gift. Except it turned out not to be a free gift. Hidden in the terms of service was the fact it was a subscription trial with a 14 days opt out and the requirement to return my free gift (tos says free trial). I had 14 calendar days, but that was 14 days from date ordered and it had to be cancelled the day before the 14th day- really more like 10 day trial. If I can spare anyone the annoyance and cost because they are charging me $87 X2 for the free trial, it will be worth posting. It is a mediocre overpriced produce. I am posting this here because the offer came through Walgreen's. I have no complaint about this particular store. Service is always good.

The thing I love the most here is that the lady give a lot of free samples for you to try, which is awesome. I heard the lady said that they have different deals every month, I recently went and I got the one get one free deal on makeup brushes/ sponges, she said last month they had shampoo that was buy one get one. They also have good reward system too, especially if you buy a lot of skincare. Due to covid, the store didn't have a lot of BB cushion that I wanted but hopefully they will restock more products. The customer service here is very friendly, which is rare for Korean store. Don't feel intimated because most of the time you'll be the only one in the store, you can ask them for good recommendations and they will be honest. Definitely coming back for some skincare and bb cushion.

I've been coming to this clinic for about two months now, and I only have positive things to say!…read more I had a horrible break out a few months ago, and the products my old dermatologist not only didn't help me, but left me with dry, even more acne prone skin!! I was mortified! But lo and behold, I found this clinic that must have been sent from the heavens, because after being tossed around from doctor to doctor, they're the only ones who have been able to clear my skin! One of the things to keep in mind is that because this clinic is mostly for cosmetic procedures, they do not accept insurance. I must admit, I was a little bit skeptical when they said they don't accept insurance, but I'm so glad I gave them a try or else I would've missed this gem. Every penny I paid had been worth it. I was assessed by Dr. Hayre (the dermatologist), and she prescribed me some topicals as well as an oral medication. She also recommended I do isolaz once a week, which I have been doing regularly. Ratana does my isolaz treatments each week, and she is fantastic! I always look forward to the appointments with her, she's so fun to talk to and is super gentle with the treatment and the extractions (which usually hurt so bad!!). I also have to thank them for being so accommodating toward me. My job is very hectic and sometimes I end up having to stay longer than expected, which makes it hard for me to make it to appointments on time sometimes. Every time this has happened the front desk has been nothing but patient and work hard to make sure that I can make it. They're amazing! Bottom line: if you want amazing skin, COME HERE!

But Id already made an appt., or so i'd thought. Was offered appointment on Wed. morning - pay $125 for consult, of which only $50 can go for a skin product or procedure; told maybe a procedure could even be done same day. Okay! ready for that with some questions. Showed up early to fill out paperwork and pay, credit card in hand, & had emailed them ahead (now they are claiming they notified me ahead of time that doc. was not in on Weds., but then then their internet was down yeah) only to be told doc. is never in on Wednesdays. Well, then why was i offered that appt. on Wed. morning? Total BS. Receptionist is having is conversation in back room in Spanish. Receptionist looks a lot like the on-line photo of the doc. Just say'n. Total BS. Something fishy going on. Hay, I'm in a business where clients are "no shows", so I totally get it, but do you really think I am confident in these people sticking needles into my face?

Although she was recommended by a…read morerespected dermatologist, I still took my time researching honest reviews online and speaking directly with several physicians--dermatologists, anesthesiologists, and others--before deciding to move forward with a consultation. As a naturally skeptical consumer, I went in fully prepared to walk away if anything felt off or made me uncomfortable. I'll admit, my first appointment didn't leave the strongest impression due to some miscommunication issues. I expressed my concerns to the office, and Dr. Naz personally called me to clarify everything. She made a clear effort to ensure my concerns were addressed, and the issue was resolved. I decided to move forward because, from the start, it was evident that Dr. Naz was exceptionally competent and knowledgeable. Leading up to the procedure, I remained apprehensive and had many questions and concerns. Every single one was acknowledged and addressed--nothing was dismissed or minimized. The treatment plan I received was thoughtful, comprehensive, and, frankly, impressive. Dr. Naz's recommendations stood out from what I'd previously been told by others; instead of the usual "do more, add this, change that" approach, her guidance was measured and, in hindsight, exactly right. (I think sometimes that means Dr. Naz tells people what they don't want to hear....and I can see how it maybe upsetting to some....) The procedure itself was fairly involved, but Dr. Naz and her team truly exceeded my expectations. When I had questions or concerns during the process, Erica (her surgical assistant) was incredibly responsive--always quick to call or text. Both she and Dr. Naz were attentive, kind, and thorough. They listened carefully and made sure I felt supported every step of the way and I so appreciated their care and warmth. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Dr. Naz and her team are not only professional and competent--they're exceptional. I always encourage people to do their own research, as I did. But having gone through this process, I feel confident recommending Dr. Naz and her team. I'd absolutely refer my friends and family to her.

I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.
