On March 7, 2026, at 5:06 am, I visited the Wawa on 465 Maple Ave, Vienna, VA 22180. The person behind the counter appeared to be the manager. I ordered a Big 5, and when the manager came out of the kitchen to hand me my food, I noticed that my hands were full of purchased merchandise. I asked him if he could put the food in a bag since I had coffee in one hand and chips in the other. The manager looked at me and said that I had never asked him to put the food in a bag. He then walked away. I was so upset that I had to put my coffee on the open kitchen window to put my food in the bag. Today I went to the Wawa because I was involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault but couldn't prove without evidence. This Wawa had a camera right next where the crash happened. When I came thru the front door, I could tell the employees were very busy making food because it was crowded. I asked if I could speak to a manager and Denise M. was behind the counter preparing food. She dropped everything she was doing and chose to help me out even though it was busy. She helped me get the footage and I was able to prove my innocence. Huge shout out to Denise M. for being a kind person and helping me when she didn't have to. Wawa is better than all the gas station convienent stores (ie Sheetz). Actually I should say the made to order food is better. The tried and true item is always their overstuffed sandwiches/hoagies. I only get one and it's always the Italian. Perfect blend of textures and flavors. Made fresh & customize to my liking. My son loves the chicken tenders and chicken soup. The store is always clean and crew is helpful and friendly. It's a standalone with electric chargers but no gas pumps. I did 3 stars because I've had good service checking out but the staff behind the food and drink counter are so unhelpful. I stood around for 5 minutes listening to them talk without any help. Only came by here once while in the area to get some chips and water. I actually love getting the hoagies because the prices are very decent! There is ample parking for a business on Maple Ave. and there are a lot of electric charging stations for Tesla owners. The store itself was well-stocked, clean, and easy to navigate. On the right side are all the chips and drinks while the left has the made-to-order food, bakery items, coffee, and cash registers. Customer service was also great! So glad Wawa opened up, wish it was a drive-through! It would be nice if there was hand sanitizer outside the doors and in front of the kiosks and cashiers as there is heavy foot traffic. The Oreo milk shake is amazzzzzzing! It's thick, creamy, bursting with Oreos in every bite. Perfect milkshake hands-down! I got bamboozled and fell for the appetizing grab and go hot food. Just skip it! While the toasted ravioli were very warm, they were acrid and stiff. Why weren't the ravioli oozing with melted cheese? 7/3/22 This is the first Wawa to appear near my home in Virginia. Another one is appearing in Fairfax Virginia very soon. Wawa is like the king of gas stations with other gasoline stations following the same values and practices...Sheetz is the other name I could think of in the same breath as Wawa. Today I ordered macaroni and cheese along with chicken fingers and cornbread. As a matter of fact, two orders of cornbread. I ate all of my cornbread so don't ask me for it. The cornbread was the best of everything I ate. The Mountain Dew Baja Blast is delicious. I don't drink soda to much, so it was fulfilling. The bathrooms did need some work. I was informed someone had an explosion in the women's bathroom...enough said. The men's room ran out of antibacterial hand soap. We informed an associate and the matter was taken care of promptly. Prices have been inflated on many products, but inflation is happening all over the world. I enjoy coming here, but I will be even happier when we get to visit the new Wawa in Fairfax Virginia. read more

For fans of WAWA this location located in Vienna is a Godsend. This location does not sell gas, it is a WAWA convenience store with several Tesla Supercharges in the parking lot. There is not a lot of parking, fortunately the spots do turn over quickly. I have visited on weekend afternoon, place was slammed and on two weekday mornings prior to 7:00 am, much more parking available and not as crowded inside. Speaking of inside, no social distancing on Sunday afternoon, no space for people to spread out, especially since waiting area for food and checkout lines are very close to one another. The store is your standard WAWA with lots of snack and beverage options, the biscuits with sausage gravy I got were delicious, make sure you get extra sausage gravy, full of flavor and the biscuits were light and buttery. Wish this was located closer to home, will continue to visit on weekday mornings, will avoid on weekends and once the pandemic ends and DMV traffic returns. read more

I WaWa. Yes, I sad it. I betrayed my Western PA Sheetz roots and have turned to the dark side. WaWa has superior food quality when compared to its competition. The sandwiches and breakfast items are actually delicious, and they also have a wide variety of snacks and drinks. This location is odd in that it has no gas, but the same can be said about the DC locations. There are the chargers for electric cars. The staff here skews young but are pretty friendly nonetheless. This Wawa is the only I've ever seen without gas but they don't have any pumps here just charging stations if you have an electric vehicle (no idea the the cost to charge up since I have a regular car). They do have the typical wide variey of snacks, sandwiches, deli items, and drinks you'd expect at a Wawa and everything seemed pretty fresh. I'm a little surprised they don't have self check out (or maybe they did and I missed it) but the line moves fast and the staff is friendly. If you're a crazed Wawa fan you'll probably make the trip from all over the DC area just to check this place out. I'm a spoiled northerner who literally used to have Wawa weekly (coffee, snacks, hoagies... you name it and I got it from Wawa) but living in the south now Wawa isn't as popular, so I was SUPER EXCITED when the majority of restaurants near me were closed bc it was late night and Wawa was a delivery option on DoorDash! I went with what I missed the most (the Italian Sub) and believe it or not I actually consider it to be one of the BEST Italian Subs out there (& even considered it as such when I lived in NJ which is saying a lot). I WAS IN HEAVEN!!!!! Wawa is forever CONSISTENT in how they stack, dress and wrap their hoagies and looking at this hoagies was a thing of beauty and sinking my teeth into it was even more beautiful! I so wish they had gas pumps. They have electric charging stations, so Teslas can add more coal burning to the grid. Parking in here can be challenging. That's due to this part of Vienna being congested. On a plus note, it's worth going here. One always gets the munchies! Here you can get the quite delicious Wawa subs. Also there's a pretty good storefront. It's a lot bigger than a 711. Strong coffee that's got some punch to it. This definitely serves a purpose. Very nice employees and a clean spot also. read more

I don't know if it's a good thing I've been here a couple of times since they've opened but I don't think I'll be going back soon. Tonight we got there around 10pm and didn't get out until 10:30pm and I haven't felt such anxiety since COVID hit. Not much social distancing going on here. First off, why is the man with the beard handling food and NOT wearing a mask? Dude, even if you didn't give a sh*t about covid, you have a FULL beard. While you are making sandwiches, making salads, et cetera, regardless that the dude next to you is wearing a full on doomsday prepper mask, you don't even have the decency to put on a mask. Second, why is the guy who is handling multiple Door dash/Postmates NOT wearing a mask either? Good for you for multi-tasking with handling more than one bag/order but you're walking around the store and grabbing this and that. No thanks. There were at least four customers that walked in with no masks and it didn't seem to phase anyone working at this location. It's not like you didn't see them at the coffee station or paying at the registers. I thought Virginia mandated masks in public places... why is this newly opened business not adhering to it? Really, it was THE highlight of the morning since I was driving around completely lost and couldn't get WiFi on my phone, and then I saw it: a giant WaWa with "grand opening" signs waving at me!!! Wawa is on the map in the city of Vienna! Unfortunately no gas to be had, but they've gone full "green" mode with the Tesla charging stations. For me, I'm still slumming it with good ole gas vehicles. Maybe I should have bought more of that TSLA stock when I had it at $1500 (better late than never)! Now alas, this review is primarily for the food. Took advantage of this week's Door Dash promo to secure myself two cheese steak hoagies plus a three piece of their chicken tenders. To be fair, keep in mind we're talking about a convenience store and not a sandwich shop or anything like that. The hoagie was satisfactory and if your main goal is to get full while eating something moderately tasty, this ain't a bad choice. The chicken tenders were quite sad to look at in the big bowl it came in, but it was just good enough to pass the sniff test. Sniff test? Does it smell like real chicken tenders? Yeah it did. Did it pass the visual inspection though? Can't quite say it did. Visual inspection being, does it look like human food or something to feed your dog. Anyways, you be the judge (photo attached). I can't say I'd go here for the chicken tenders or the hoagies, but if I was in a jiffy and just needed to pick up some food for the kids crying at home, this could be a winner. I just received my order, and for the second time, they did not include the caesar dressing with my order. Salad dressing comes with the salad, we all know that. But the last two times I didn't get mine. I only received the extra salad dressing that I had paid for and ordered, just in case they didn't sent me the normal side, that is included. When I called to speak to the manager, to alert them, that they may need to educate their staff, I got Wes on the phone, and he never acknowledged what I was complaining about. I came here for the first time a few days ago on weekday in the morning. At first, I was a bit confused in how the process worked. I wanted to order a sandwich and I stood there for a while not knowing what to do. There were all these stations but no one available for helping or telling me where to go. Eventually, I saw someone order from the kiosk and then I got the idea. Once I ordered from the kiosk, I waited a few minutes for them to make my sandwich then once it's ready, they called my number. They will give you a slip of paper and once I was ready to check out, they scanned the paper and rang up other items. It was pretty simple but I got confused for a quick moment. I ordered their Italian hoagie sandwich and loaded up on the toppings. I love having lots of toppings in my sandwiches. It was pretty good for a convenience store. I enjoyed eating it. Everything seemed pretty clean and had social distancing signs of the floor to show people where to stand to not get to close to each other. They had hand sanitizers everywhere and all the employees were wearing masks. Just know that this place seems like a place where there's lots of people that come in and out. read more

Fantastic late night coffee. It's always nice and quiet after midnight, no lines, no wait. And their coffee is without a doubt the best. Yes, better than any gas station coffee, and in my opinion on par with anything you'd get at Dunkin Donuts. Great taste and they're super cheap! On top of that, their hot food menu is pretty big. Only downside? They don't always have what you're looking for. In fact, more often than not, when I come here after dark they're often out of stuff like mac 'n' cheese or mashed potatoes, which can be a real bummer. But their hoagies, both cold and hot, are legit tasty and probably way better than whatever other late night options are available. And even if you're not in the mood for that, there's lots of tasty snacks that are FAR superior to the stale junk you'd get at 7/11. My advice: try the soft pretzels. read more

I've always heard good things about Wawa's food, and I had to try it for myself. I was a bit reluctant at first because since they're a gas station, I didn't think it would that amazing. It was actually fairly decent. The presentation does not look the best, but it tasted pretty good. I got the blt and a mashed potato bowl with steak and old bay seasoning. I probably wouldn't get the mashed potato bowl again, but I think the sandwiches are worth trying out here. This place is also 24 hours which is cool. So yeah the food is pretty decent read more

I've been twice hoping for the road-food goodness I get from other locations, but I've been disappointed twice. The first time was at the end of 2021 when the chicken sandwich was dried our and had barely any of the toppings selected. Recently, my wife and I tried their shakes to give them a second shot. We made it home before suffering upset stomachs. I don't know if it was cleanliness, spoilage, or one of the add-ins disagreeing with us, but it's disappointing that Vienna got a Wawa and it is lower tier than the worst of the local 7-11s. The rest of the shop seemed in order despite the heavy traffic and shortages due to the recent economic mess, which is why this got 2 stars instead of 1 read more

I ordered from them recently on GrubHub. I am very dissatisfied. I got a double-meat cold hoagie (not toasted, classic roll, American cheese, turkey, mayonnaise, and mustard, $11.19), a tuna salad (romaine lettuce, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, red onions, cucumbers, and croutons, $9.79), a small side dish of bacon ($2.29), and a cold-brewed iced tea ($3.79). The sales tax was $1.66, the delivery fee was $6.99, the service fee was $2.98, the bag fee was $0.05, and the tip for the driver was $5.84. The meal was $23.27 and all the other fees brough it to $40.79. GrubHub's fees nearly double the cost of the meal, and this was just one meal for one person. The order showed up in maybe 45 minutes. I am on Guinea Rd. across the street from Bowl America. The ingredients were fine. The drink was missing. THIS HAPPENS WAY TOO OFTEN WITH GRUBHUB. I don't know if the driver took my drink, or if the restaurant shorted my drink to make a couple of extra bucks from the transaction. I got a refund within the GrubHub app. This happens on maybe 25% of my GrubHub orders. The drinks go missing way too often. I don't know what is going on. read more
