The inside of my Italian Hoagie
    Gene W.

Wawa is better than all the gas station convienent stores (ie Sheetz). Actually I should say the made to order food is better. The tried and true item is always their overstuffed sandwiches/hoagies. I only get one and it's always the Italian. Perfect blend of textures and flavors. Made fresh & customize to my liking. My son loves the chicken tenders and chicken soup. The store is always clean and crew is helpful and friendly. It's a standalone with electric chargers but no gas pumps. I don't bother going to Subway, Jimmy Johns, Firehouse, Potbelly or Jersey Mikes. Wawa does it right & at the right price!

Only came by here once while in the area to get some chips and water. I actually love getting the hoagies because the prices are very decent! There is ample parking for a business on Maple Ave. and there are a lot of electric charging stations for Tesla owners. The store itself was well-stocked, clean, and easy to navigate. On the right side are all the chips and drinks while the left has the made-to-order food, bakery items, coffee, and cash registers. Customer service was also great! The employees were very nice.

Oreo milkshake delicious and toasted ravioli, not so goood!

So glad Wawa opened up, wish it was a drive-through! It would be nice if there was hand sanitizer outside the doors and in front of the kiosks and cashiers as there is heavy foot traffic. The Oreo milk shake is amazzzzzzing! It's thick, creamy, bursting with Oreos in every bite. Perfect milkshake hands-down! I got bamboozled and fell for the appetizing grab and go hot food. Just skip it! While the toasted ravioli were very warm, they were acrid and stiff. Why weren't the ravioli oozing with melted cheese? I couldn't even get through one let alone 5, and threw them out just after a couple of bites! When I'm in the area and craving a milkshake, Wawa is my go!

7/3/22 This is the first Wawa to appear near my home in Virginia. Another one is appearing in Fairfax Virginia very soon. Wawa is like the king of gas stations with other gasoline stations following the same values and practices...Sheetz is the other name I could think of in the same breath as Wawa. Today I ordered macaroni and cheese along with chicken fingers and cornbread. As a matter of fact, two orders of cornbread. I ate all of my cornbread so don't ask me for it. The cornbread was the best of everything I ate. The Mountain Dew Baja Blast is delicious. I don't drink soda to much, so it was fulfilling. The bathrooms did need some work. I was informed someone had an explosion in the women's bathroom...enough said. The men's room ran out of antibacterial hand soap. We informed an associate and the matter was taken care of promptly. Prices have been inflated on many products, but inflation is happening all over the world. I enjoy coming here, but I will be even happier when we get to visit the new Wawa in Fairfax Virginia.

Biscuits and sausage gravy with extra sausage gravy

For fans of WAWA this location located in Vienna is a Godsend. This location does not sell gas, it is a WAWA convenience store with several Tesla Supercharges in the parking lot. There is not a lot of parking, fortunately the spots do turn over quickly. I have visited on weekend afternoon, place was slammed and on two weekday mornings prior to 7:00 am, much more parking available and not as crowded inside. Speaking of inside, no social distancing on Sunday afternoon, no space for people to spread out, especially since waiting area for food and checkout lines are very close to one another. The store is your standard WAWA with lots of snack and beverage options, the biscuits with sausage gravy I got were delicious, make sure you get extra sausage gravy, full of flavor and the biscuits were light and buttery. Wish this was located closer to home, will continue to visit on weekday mornings, will avoid on weekends and once the pandemic ends and DMV traffic returns.

I WaWa. Yes, I sad it. I betrayed my Western PA Sheetz roots and have turned to the dark side. WaWa has superior food quality when compared to its competition. The sandwiches and breakfast items are actually delicious, and they also have a wide variety of snacks and drinks. This location is odd in that it has no gas, but the same can be said about the DC locations. There are the chargers for electric cars. The staff here skews young but are pretty friendly nonetheless. I'd definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.

Found label in smoothie. Wonder what "Blue Pom" is?

Ordered a mixed berry smoothie and found a blended label in it. Yes, people make mistakes, however, in my long history making smoothies, I have never blended a label into it. I used to visit Wawa "every day", however I am very picky of food preparation. If a label makes it into the smoothie, you really don't want to know what else can be in there. You have been warned. If you go and get a smoothie, hopefully your label is fully blended. Sometime it us good to be ignorant.

I'm a spoiled northerner who literally used to have Wawa weekly (coffee, snacks, hoagies... you name it and I got it from Wawa) but living in the south now Wawa isn't as popular, so I was SUPER EXCITED when the majority of restaurants near me were closed bc it was late night and Wawa was a delivery option on DoorDash! I went with what I missed the most (the Italian Sub) and believe it or not I actually consider it to be one of the BEST Italian Subs out there (& even considered it as such when I lived in NJ which is saying a lot). I WAS IN HEAVEN!!!!! Wawa is forever CONSISTENT in how they stack, dress and wrap their hoagies and looking at this hoagies was a thing of beauty and sinking my teeth into it was even more beautiful! Oh how I missed theeeee Wawa .... I will be sure to order again sometime soon, but until then, SMOOCHES!

I come in wawa three times a week. I am a very loyal app user with Wawa. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed. I ordered a egg/sausage breakfast burrito. Is this what they really call a burrito? Shame on the person making the food on the line. I hope my next visit is not this disappointing.

I get the convenience but I really wasn't a fan. I know, it's the equivalent of gas station food but I got the Philly sandwich delivered because of a door dash special and it was just salty. Wet saltiness. I also got the brownie (really gross) and milkshake. For the same price, just go get fast food!

The cheese steak hoagies aren't bad at all. They also aren't great. They're just moderately satisfactory.

The roll was reminiscent of a Philly sub roll, which - now this may be polarizing - is the standard by which I judge all sub rolls. Philadelphia just has the best subs ;) Anyway - they use good deli meats here. I don't think they make their own fries, but they were nice and crispy with a bit of seasoning on them and went well with our sandwiches. My husband had the cheesesteak and said it was just meh - definitely steak-ums - but we are from the self-proclaimed cheesesteak capital of the world :) Don't pass up the dessert case though - I am not a sweets person, but they had this triple cheese thing that was like a cheese danish, but with a million times more cheese and just a little bit of pastry, we... uhhh... devoured it... It paired really nice with their house chocolate gelato, which was the definition of rich, decadent chocolate. The lady at the register was kind enough to allow us to try a side-by-side of the house and the machine gelato... word of advice... skip the machine, go with the house gelato - the flavor (and the serving size) knocks that name-brand, machine mumbo jumbo out of the park :) Honestly, just a great sandwich joint with a little store selling specialty items, many of which are from Italy (I will be back for some squid ink pasta the next time I am cooking for friends!). Lovely little gem :)

I ordered a sandwich and wanted to make it a combo but they only do it with fries, no chips. For most, thats an awesome deal - I just personally wanted chips. They have the fancier drinks and not your typical soda options so keep this in mind. My roasted turkey sandwich was $14.95 to start, and toppings like pepper relish cost extra (I feel like a spread should not be half a dollar but sure). Meat quality was good and bread felt fresh but just a little hard to chew. For basically 16$, there was only two thin slices of provolone. Compared to some of the photos I saw, the sandwich was a bit lacking on the toppings of meat/cheese. People super friendly and service was quick. They had tons of desserts, pasta salad, and a few actual pasta dishes on the menu too. I'll have to come in to give them a try for a cheesesteak or the caesar salad wrap next.

It is also in a weird location, and the inside is set up strangely as well, which makes the experience feel awkward from the start. I ordered a Chicken & Cheddar Skinny and a turkey sandwich. The food itself was exactly what you'd expect from Potbelly, so no complaints there. The problem is the operation. There were five employees working, yet almost no attention was given to the customers standing in line. Instead, everyone seemed focused on online orders while the in-store line barely moved. If you're going to ask customers to come into your restaurant, they shouldn't feel like second-class customers behind the app. This isn't a staffing issue. It's a management issue. With five people on the floor, there should be someone owning the front line and taking care of the people who made the effort to walk in. Instead, it felt disorganized, inefficient, and frustrating. The food saved this from being a one-star review, but the way this restaurant is being run needs serious attention. Management needs to rethink their priorities and create a better balance between digital orders and the customers standing right in front of them.

Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh.
