This is the worst CVS in town. Terrible location and equally terrible staff. Pushy employee sold me a shampoo that damaged my hair. I called customer service to let them know and there was nothing they could do. Steer clear of this CVS unless you want to end up like me. Hair is now damaged and theres nothing I can do but wait for it to grow out. Should also mention the people at the pharmacy are incompetent and cant be bothered to do their jobs right. Benu Arora is a terrible pharmacist. Attitude galore and terrible customer service. Also, don't let her give you a vaccine, she hit a blood vessel and my entire arm turned red. This does not usually happen for inoculations. The staff, including the brown haired young guy are just attitudinal. Sad to say, they carry themselves like they are intelligent, they are not. They always have six people working but ignore people in the unnecessary line. I don't think they would smile at a baby. They tried charging me $150 for something. I told them the amount was incorrect. The technician tells me I'm wrong. The pharmacist gets on the phone then tells me I'm wrong. I tell her not to speak to me with an attitude. I call my insurance company they tell me that she is wrong. I call them leave a voicemail. After an hour in get a callback saying "we were able to get your price down." Its location is a headache. Yes sometimes I have to be on Rt 7 of Tyson's Corner. If I need aspirin caused by the high volume traffic it's here. This is actually a good sized store. For the most part it's well stocked, and the Mile long receipts are optional thankfully. Parking for the area is pretty decent. Usually I can get a spot. It's like Tysons busy, and lines are part of the equation. The employees are pretty cool folks there. I also commend CVS for no tobacco products. This is our local CVS pharmacy and the store itself is sufficient with items that we need. The pharmacy itself is usually extremely busy and there is always a long line to either drop off prescription and pick them up. The drive thru is horrific. It is much easier to park the car and go inside rather than wait in the line that takes forever. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional pharmacist Beni arora she is not knowledgeable at all and you have to ask the same question 100 times to get an answer ! Me and my whole family will be switching pharmacy as long as she works there I had to wait a long time she had an attitude and did not respond to my question of the medication maximum effect. I was on hold for 16 minutes with the pharmacy then they hung up on me. I called again and was on hold for a further 29 minutes. I called the front store asking why it's taken 45 minutes (I understand long wait times but it's 10:40am with a local CVS, not a nation-wide service with 1 call center), and the woman who answered took my name and number to bring to the pharmacy. The pharmacist calls me 4 minutes later, I asked her about the status of my prescription and then the pharmacist hangs up on me mid sentence after I tell her I'd like to move the prescription to another pharmacy. If you can, just go to any other pharmacy. Edited to add: Basically the background was that I was prescribed with gestational diabetes recently and so I have 0 knowledge on the medication/tools needed until my upcoming class. After I posted the above review, I found out that my doctor prescribed me one thing, and the pharmacy filled out test strips (replacements I'm guessing, maybe they ran out of the prescribed test strips?) that are completely incompatible. Isn't that the pharmacist's job to make sure that medications work together? Including devices? read more

Horrible!!! I know that people who' are living in the area are trapped between ridiculous choices of the pharmacies,but please,not this one! Lines are insane almost always,they are understaffed greatly and couple days ago just closed drive through for the same reason. The employees who are still working here are not the pharmacists,at least half of them,I have a reasonable concern about who and how dispense my medications in this chaotic situation. One man,who I guess was manager and at least pharmacist,apologized and told that they having a problem with hiring. I scheduled for colonoscopy on Monday and wanted to fill my prescription for today so I can start the prep work tomorrow. My doctor forgot to put down the date. It is equivalent to over the counter medication for pooping! She said I should call my doctor and have him fill out the date. It's Saturday today! And the procedure is on Monday!! The most incompetent pharmacy staff I have had the displeasure to work with, and that's saying a lot.

I never write reviews. But I was so upset and disappointed in the service I received that I felt compelled to share my experience. I went to CVS today to buy some Benadryl because a friend of mine who was having an allergic reaction to a nut allergy. The power around the whole block was completely out. I went to CVS to get some Benadryl and was told by the cashier that I cannot buy the Benadryl because the cash registers were not up and running. The told me to try the gas station. I went down the street to the nearest Gas station but they didn't have any Benadryl. So I went back to CVS in hopes the registers were working. When I got back to CVS I offered to pay double the amount of the asking price for the item so I could get the medicine to my friend, and they would not sell it to me. They kept telling me to wait. So I asked the cashier, so what am I supposed to do, wait for the cash registers to reactivate, in hopes that my friend (whose throat was beginning to close when I left) can hang in there?! The lady looked at me and just apologized. She never once tried to offer an alternative solution. It made me feel like, no power, no service. I didn't feel like I had the time to wait, so I decided to go back to the pharmacy to speak with a pharmacist who (in my idea) was going to use the Hippocratic oath and try to help come up with a solution that would be beneficial for me in my situation. Again I was only told that I had to wait. No one seemed to care, no one seemed to offer an alternative solution. I was told repeatedly that I had to wait. My friend didn't have time to wait. I was trying to help her avoid an ambulance Ans hospital visit. This pharmacy is apparently at the mercy of CVS corporate offices, who have decided that rather than pay for a sufficient number of employees to field phone calls, they will inflict an extremely hostile, user-unfriendly phone system on their customers who make the mistake of having a prescription filled here. I called the pharmacy to find out if my prescription could be refilled and was subjected to a number of computerized voice prompts asking me for information to locate my prescription. The computer system was never able to identify me from date of birth and zip code but finally did identify the prescription number and told me when the prescription was filled. But when I spoke into the phone to say my question was about a refill of the prescription, the system put me back into the first series of prompts once more and I never could get an answer from the computer. So then I was invited to speak to someone in the pharmacy but instead of being connected to an actual human being, I was invited to leave a voice mail message which I was assured might be returned "in as little as one hour!". No indication of the maximum wait time, just the minimum! It's been over an hour and I'm still waiting to hear the yes or no answer about whether I can get a refill. CVS stinks at customer relations, period, exclamation point! read more

I've been using this CVS pharmacy for years, mainly out of convenience. The past year though they have been super helpful. Sarah (at the pharmacy) and others are willing to go oit of their way to help. Especially during COVID time. You can hear the frustration and exhaustion in their voices. But they are always polite and helpful, even when they sound frazzled. Why is that? Because I treat them with respect and common courtesy. Don't take your frustrations out on them. USPS just lost my medicine package, that's not the pharmacy's fault. I didn't start yelling at them for a mistake not their own. I requested help in getting my medicine, and am getting it. I am writing this review as a pharmacy manager ; I walked to the pharmacy at 7:50 and pharmacist Jerry was extremely disrespectful to me as a patient. I asked for 1 ml syringe to inject my B12 that I picked up my Rx from CVS . He denied to give me a 1 ml syringe and he asked me to go to CVS in Arlington rd , Gallows rd . I even asked him how he does his vaccine ? He said he does it on 3 ml syringe and him and his tech were making fun of me . I have never beeen treated this way from a colleague . Leave it aside that I'm a patient to his store . Such a shame for us as CVS employees to be treated this way . He definitely needs extra training on his position. read more

Had to stop by out of convenience, as I had just gotten eye surgery this week and needed to pick up eye drop prescription. I gave the pharmacy technician my Rx slip and she said it would be ready in 10-15min. I said I would be back in 1-2 hours so they could take their time. After running errands, I came back to pick up my Rx, only to find out they didn't have it in stock (The technician told me she put in my medication incorrectly??? or something???) and that I will have to wait until Monday. I said, ok...and the technician said I should call her for an alternative medication because this one was expensive as my insurance doesn't cover. Me and my doctor already discussed using brand name only, so I'm confused as to why they are asking me to call the doctor to get a different Rx as they are not going to fill it anymore. They asked me to call the doctor to give me a different Rx than the one I gave them earlier, which made me confused, because I was willing to pay for my eye medication and willing to wait until Monday for it to be in stock. I don't know, after realizing that you put in the wrong Rx for me couldn't they at least call me with this information? instead of just waiting for me to come back and tell me the news? Such a waste of time. They wouldn't even let me have my Rx slip back if they weren't even going to fill it. read more

PHARMACY REVIEW: I was pleased when this CVS location opened a few years back because it so conveniently located to my home. One thing to keep in mind is that this location is extremely busy due to it's location. It also appears that it's a training ground, at least I hope that this explains the seemingly high employee turnover and apparent lack of competence and aptitude for customer service. In the early days, when the pharmacy was managed by Mark and Melissa, it was pretty well-run. There were problems every now and then because it's such a busy location, but these two always acknowledged mistakes and made things right. Very professional, pleasant, and good to deal with. Ever since Melissa left, this pharmacy has been an absolute disaster. Things fell apart almost over night. Common issues: Prescriptions refilled incorrectly, insurance information deleted from system and coverage denied (then staff unable to restore), unable to take prescriptions off auto-refill after multiple requests, no follow-up when a prescription on back order, consistently long-lines and wait times (these guys don't know how to manage their queue)-- the list goes on. What makes things worse here is that the people running the pharmacy and their employees don't acknowledge mistakes and hold themselves accountable. There's always an excuse or a comeback and rarely ever an apology. I short, some drastic changes need to be made at this pharmacy and it starts at the top (it always does!). There needs to be a competent pharmacy manager in place who is strong in the areas of training, customer service, and process management, because this outlet has to be running at capacity. Also, CVS needs to stop training people at this location. Such a busy outlet is not a place for on the job training. I question the competence of a couple of the folks working in the pharmacy, but am willing to accept that maybe the problem is that certain employees just can't handle the pressure of such a busy outlet. Employees who can't take the pressure at this location should be transferred to a slower-paced, sleepier location. I've reached my limit and intend to move my prescriptions to another pharmacy. read more

Read my lips: the worst pharmacy in the DMV. After switching my insurance, I've had some really unpleasant experiences with this pharmacy and its staff. If I could give negative stars. They have the worst customer service, they are disorganized beyond belief, and so inefficient. 1. I went to get my COVID test done through their drive-thru. I came 10 mins early to my appointment and had to wait over an hour. As a former Kaiser member, FYI, it takes less than 5 mins to get a COVID test through Kaiser. 2. My doctor sent two prescriptions to fill. The first time I spoke with their staff to see if my prescription was ready, she told me that they could not fill it at that time because my doctor had ordered the fill date to be on the following Friday. I called my doctor the next day and my doctor said the office had sent out the prescription the day of my doctor's appointment. When I called again, a different staff told me that my doctor has to call the insurance company to get my medication approved by the insurance. What?! I've been without my medicine since my appointment and now I have no idea who and what to believe. They will lie on the phone to end the call because 'they are so busy with other customers.' read more

I called back the same day when I noticed my charge. I asked for an itemized receipt. She said she can't provide it. She told me to call my insurance company. I had to call 5 different phone numbers to talk to the right person at corporate office to help me. I spent hours trying to resolve this and on hold for one hour with this CVS. I have tried to pick up my blood pressure medication 3x. Waited 30+ minutes each time. I called to have Rx mailed to me and waited on hold 20 minutes. I told the person who answered that I tried to pick up my Rx 3x to no avail. She said she could charge me $8 to have it couriered to me. No apology. If I could rate this pharmacy a negative I would. Having picked up medication here multiple times, I'd say 75% of the time it isn't ready (even with hours or days in advance notice), or better yet, we get a text saying it is ready, then when we go to pick it up it has been returned to the shelf, we are informed that our insurance doesn't cover it OR that they don't have the actual prescription. I am currently sitting and waiting for the prescription that we called for on Saturday and was told that it would be available when we get here on Monday... guess what... not ready... also told they weren't sure which prescription they should use. AND they sent me back and forth between the pick up and drop off window twice. We are done with this place. Who cares if it is the most convenient when every time I have to pick something up it takes 30 minutes. I could have driven to many other options during the time waste dealing with them. The worst! They are busy and below refuse to put time aside to call your insurance for any approval . They bill you and make you pay instead of calling and process your insurance to get paid. The woman at the drop off counter messed up my birthday (like how?) and I had to wait an extra hour for my medicine. Also, good luck hearing your name after they mumble it over the speaker (if they even remember to do it at all). I have 0 confidence in this pharmacy and I don't trust them at all. My experiences with pharmacies have always been slightly annoying; delays, refusals to fill prescriptions, insurance issues. I always expect some kind of ordeal. As usual, I went to pick up a prescription and there were a zillion random issues preventing them from filling it. Annoying - but unlike at other pharmacies, Sarah (the pharmacist on duty) went out of her way to explain what the issue was. She was clear and patient in her explanation - and I was actually able to understand what was wrong and how it will be resolved. I came back the next day and she had, as promised, entirely taken care of it without sending me to spend hours on the phone with the doctor's office. I don't know about the rest of the staff but she is very knowledgeable and her customer service skills deserve recognition. read more

Its very astounding how incompetent the people working in this pharmacy can be. Is CVS paying minimum wage med school dropouts or what? EVERY SINGLE MONTH it's same shit, different person. We call the week before, the day of, the 5 minutes before we pick up and something is always wrong. My GF has three prescriptions to pick up and it is always 1 prescription missing, 1 not filled, or just 1 flat out wrong. And many times we were told it is ready and when we go pick it up it isn't ready. Today we went in at 11am to learn 1 of 3 prescriptions were filled and another one would take an hour. Five hours later and it is still "come back in an hour". Maybe they taking all the prescriptions because they seem high on something, to the point that the concept of time is hard to understand for them. Get your shit together and don't tell us to double check our prescriptions when it is your job not ours. Cant wait for your branch to f up someones prescription and get a lawsuit filed against you. read more
