If this is too long to read,…read morejust know: it's worth a little bit of money to treat yourself and take good care of yourself, and get to feel very pampered. I had to give a speech on Wednesday. In the before times, public speaking was very much a part of my wheelhouse, and Ioved to get to do it. After a rough two years, I was doubting my every word as I prepared to give my speech. I decided I needed the confidence boost provided by hair and makeup. I made an appointment at Drybar, and then directly after at Cos Bar. The darling Natasha did my makeup, and she talked to me the whole time so I would feel comfortable and relaxed leading up to my speech. She was absolutely darling. My makeup looked so good, and I love the products she recommended. The best thing: if you spent $200 or more, you got a free spring samples kit. The samples are incredible and easily valued at well over $200. I left for a work trip the day after, and packing was so fun because I had all these lovely little sample sizes. I will be a customer forever. And I will come here whenever I need my makeup with a side of pep talk and friendly chit chat.

When I left the store I thought my hair was still a little damp, thinking that's why the blonde looked a little darker. Come to find out it's not. Which means she pulled the foils too early. My blonde is not the bright/vanilla blonde I was going for. It's copper/orange. I will have to get this fixed. I did call the store the very next day and a manager was not in. I asked them to return my call and the associate reassured me that either the store manager or salon manager would return my call. Neither of them did. This is disappointing and not only a waste of my money but my time as well. I think the girls in the salon may just need more experience with time.

I live 15 minutes from the Ulta near me. I'm not driving way, way across town. 45 minutes is a very long way to drive in OKC. Don't you guys ship orders to people every day? Why are you having me drive so far out of my way to fix your error? I've been a member since the early 2000's. I guess they don't care. She even created a skin care plan for me when I was preparing for my wedding last year. Sara is very knowledgeable about the product she uses and offers. This is the only place local I've found that offers Eminence, which is an organic product line. I'm hooked on it! It costs comparative to other luxury skin care products but I love that it's organic and natural. Sara is never pushy about purchasing product, but is more concerned about which would be best for you and your specific skin issues, and products that resolve multiple issues you might have. She's also very creative in using product for what's currently going on with your skin. I've had facials at other places before, and sometimes it seems they just follow a basic product regimen, or is limited. You can tell Sara really enjoys what she does and the products she provide because she get's creative with it! So why, if I love her service so much, wouldn't I give a 5 star? Really, it's a small reason, and it's mainly preference: Her office is a spa co-op space, meaning there are multiple service vendors in one building. There's NEVER a noise level or service issue, but it's just a little cramped for me. Once I get on the table and relaxed though, I don't want to leave! Her office is decorated very nice and simple, not kitschy or over-decorated. I'm sure that it helps keep the cost of her services down, so I'm totally okay with that!
