After a sale had been running for about a week, I decided to go to the store to get the items since my online order didn't meet the threshold for free pickup... the main sales that i had went in for were only showing the regular price and not the sale which i took to be a little sketchy and misleading because each store is send these sale tabs for a reason so for almost a whole week to go by with 2 days left of the sale and nevrr have put the sale tabs on just doesnt ait right with me... It's pretty clean and neat for the most part but i guess today was delivery so it looked crazy and they alway ls appear to he short staffed all the time, as well. So placed an online order to pickup and store and shocker, it was canceled due to being out of stock but when I left the store last night before closing, everything was there nicely restocked and on the shelves, so why was my order canceled? I call and was told I don't know what to tell you, place another order online and hung up on... then they played the game of I can't hear you, hello... it's nice that this is the customer service provided nowadays and it's acceptable... It's pretty sad and pathetic... If you don't want to do your job than leave it but this store needs to get it together ... sale tags not put out, no explanations for order cancelations, hung up on repeatedly... ALISSA N- tall blonde is a NEW store manager here on yonkers ave in Yonkers NY. Have no clue why she is here in yonkers and where she came from but they need to send her back to corporate do some SERIOUS training on customer service and satisfaction. She has no clue how rewards work and is asking me how they work. "maybe it didn't print because you used Walgreens rewards cash to pay?" She doesn't want to honor her store signs and because of that she decided that she has to VOID the transaction two times instead of just issuing me the $5 Register Reward Dollars that are posted throughout the store. Sooooo we spent 35 minutes doing that because she refused to just issue the $5 RR. I explained to her that I am not feeling today and I am very under the weather if she can just do is as a courtesy because We also had moved to another register and then to another register because their Catalina machines don't work. Which THEY NEVER WORK. She would have known that if she did some research on her new store. But, rather than assisting me while I'm ill and just even for the inconvenience and broken machines she said no she couldn't. Obviously she didn't want to just admit she was wrong and or she didn't know why it didn't print, she could have apologized like any other manager and l issue it for inconvenience and as a courtesy. I was the AGM running a large restaurant chain that you can find in every country throughout the world... Doing about 25 millions dollars in each of my two locations and I would never treat a customer in that way, or for that long. It is so embarrassing to Walgreens....Especially if I am wrong. Jason was a witness and I asked for him to intervene and he said can't we just give them the $5 Walgreens cash? And she said no and continues even though again I said I wasn't feeling well and wanted to just go. Goes to photo and it still doesn't print! She should NOT represent any corporation, especially not Walgreens... a local one... that would be been going to for 15 years. It's a shame that someone from out of town who doesn't know the regulars comes in and RUINS the store. I will make sure that her boss and their bosses know about this, even if it takes me months. I don't want to not be able to go to my local Walgreens because of a woman who doesn't even know How their SYSTEM WORKS and is guessing about it! DO NOT ORDER PICTUREs from this store. They are never ready when they say they are. We called 3 times to find out the status and finally on the third time calling someone answered the phone and told us they were ready. We came over and guess what no photos ready, shocker. The clerk told us the machine was broken. I asked for a manager and Jason came over and I explained and showed him the email and told him that they said they were ready, he walked away from me and never came back to me. Finally I found jason who never came back to give me an update and he told me the clerk was printing them, who was not actually printing them he was standing right in front of me and never left me. I actually was meaning to write a review back in June & never had a moment but a recent experience inclined me to get the word out. My original review was basically to write about a very nice experience I had on a day off back in June when I was browsing the cosmetics aisle. I'll get back to that later... My husband & I stopped in 2 weeks ago on a Saturday early afternoon. This was to be a quick stop for the ATM & to check if they had a few things. We were off in different aisles when my husband heard a call for "security" to one of the aisles. I myself didn't hear the announcement but ended up catching up with him in that 1st aisle right across from cosmetics. He was near the hand sanitizers. As I approached I saw a guy crouched over a large paper bag with handles throwing a whole bunch of items into the bag. I think maybe soaps or something but I was totally unsure what I was looking at & I thought at that moment it must be an employee. And then it dawned on me that we were witnessing a shoplifter in the act! When I realized what was happening I looked over to my husband & asked - Ummm, what's going on here? ... You've gotta be F'ing kidding me!! Then the criminal calmly picked up his bag of goods & walked right out as the 2 employees, one I believe was the store manager, stood by the entrance with 911 on the line. I've seen this kind of thing on the news, especially in the heart of the pandemic, but never in real life. It was very disturbing to see right before your eyes. I really felt for the store employees who made the best of an awful situation. I was very shaken up but wanted to commend the employees for trying their best to keep things under control. To my surprise, I learned that this was nothing & that it happens quite often now. So a word of caution in general when shopping, just be aware who's around & what's happening around you. I saw another reviewer mentioning some of the empty shelves. I would think it's safe to assume this is at least partly the reason why... As for my original reason for this review, I had such a great experience one Monday morning in June with a very helpful gal in cosmetics, I just wanted to say how nice it was to deal with someone who was really interested in helping a customer out! Customer service can be so lacking at times but it was just so refreshing to deal with a person who really was going the extra mile to help out! She even suggested I come in with my older discontinued cosmetics (haven't bought much makeup since the pandemic & working from home) so she could try to help me find something similar. I just found the entire experience very refreshing! Great job - 5 STAR experience there! read more

The typical bug chain pharmacy. The one I went to seems to never have more than one cashier, this leads to long lines for people with one or two items. Not good. They ask if you have a Walgreens card, I answer no and how can I get one? No one knows!! This store have a lot of good points and can improve on the little things. read more

The shelves are CONSISTENTLY empty regardless of the product. There must be a new pharmacist who must've had aspirations to be a doctor because she questions ALL of prescribed medications. Some people need to learn to stay in their lane. I've never experienced such an unprofessional unknowledgeable pharmacy staff. I'm switching to local non commercial pharmacies. read more

Once in a while, a decent alternative to CVS. And a BETTER alternative to the CVS closest to this location. This place opened up after that horrid A&P closed down. It's a decent sized lot (though customers can't seem to handle it at times) with ample parking. Inside, the store is usually neat and though I've always preferred CVS generally, this place is usually stocked well and has things that CVS doesn't carry. The store is pretty spacious and everything is where they should be. The pharmacy area is usually better than it's closest rival......when they pay attention. One complaint is the register area and the doors. With some people just being dumb, you really need to mark "entrance" and "exit" - you can enter and exit through both sets of doors. The register area is also poorly done and instead of tills on both sides, they ought to have just one side with registers. Another more important complaint is the employees of course - most of them are downright rude, lethargic, and just shouldn't be employed. I usually don't need to ask for help,but even just walking past, the dead-blank stares they give you is more than enough. It seems to be the "in" thing to hire garbage, but if this place really want to separate themselves and compete with CVS, hire better employees who not only want to work, but know how. This is not the only Walgreen's I've been in that the employees are less than desirable - and again, it's not all, since there have been a few at this location that were friendly and didn't seem to mind doing what they get paid to do. Generally, if you can look past the trash that works there, it's not a bad store with decent prices and really, a good alternative to any CVS and especially the one 2 miles up the block. read more

Don't trust this place. The people here are inconsiderate and lazy. We ordered ONE 8x10 for our grandmothers memorial that was supposed to be ready for pick up on Friday 10:45pm. We went on Saturday morning at 11am and the picture wasn't ready, they said it's processing and to come back at 1pm- Came back and it STILL was not ready, went back a third time and the store was then closed for 3 hrs to sanitize..... we had no picture for the memorial due to the irresponsible people that work at this place. I live in Long Island and this has never happened. Even if I went for pick up and it wasn't ready, they'd print it right away while I'm at the store so clearly this staff doesn't like to just do their job nor appreciate their customers. read more

The photo department is extremely slow. You submit your photos from Home and a you are given choice of times...THIS Not a Real TIME. You are supposed to wait for another email. I came to the store four hours after my picked time to be told oh that's just a guess you should have waited for your second confirmation. Bad Service! read more

Dropped off a prepaid FedEx package Dec 24th thinking it would be picked up by the FedEx truck on the 26th. Package didn't leave Walgreens until the 30th! Then, when you call to inquire, they just leave you on hold or pick up the phone then immediately hang up. Don't bring your FedEx packages to Walgreens and expect prompt shipment! read more

Awful. Just awful. Today was my final straw with the photo department. Last year I order my Christmas cards here, took me showing up a few times to remind them to do it (because god forbid someone answers the phone)...then they kept trying to give me other peoples photos... then they were out of envelopes and asked if that was ok... no it was not. Finally got envelopes off the shelves and threw them in with my order. Numerous inconveniences through out the year... blah blah blah. Fast forward to this year. I guess I enjoy punishment because I decided to do my card at Walgreens again. I submitted my order on a Tuesday for 24 hour photo, even picked the later option because I work late... no follow up email, I call, no answer (not surprised).. I cal everyday to follow up with no answer. I finally go in and they don't have them. it is now Sunday. Still not ready. I called Walgreens to send my photos to a different location. NEVER. Theee times now I've used the online photo order service to this location and it's been a disaster each time. The photos are never ready at the designated pickup time, in fact I tried picking up a photo book a full day after they were supposed to be ready, after waiting for 10 minutes for an employee they told me my order still needed to be printed which would take 10 minutes, then 20 minutes later they finally printed and when I asked to see them it wasn't a photo book, just photos. So when I asked for them to be make into a photo book they said it would take another 15 minutes to do, so by that point I left. The most recent was similar, 20 minutes waiting to get photos that when I looked to review had all the colors bleeding horribly as if the CMYK toner wasn't aligned. I know because I tracked it and FedEx shows as delivered. So I go today because I need my items that I paid for. When your in a hurry.. Rushing! Wallgreen is closer to find what you need.. Staff are friendly! Some brands are expensive but it's closer to your home.. What you can't find in Cvs is here.. Their pharmacy used to accept blue cross but not anymore.. Still they have basic staff you need for a day.. 3 star. read more

I'm definitely a fan of Walgreen's. The young ladies that are check-out girls are nice and friendly. There is a lovely pharmacy tech named Laura that remembers and properly pronounces my name when she sees me. I have a difficult name and that has never happened to me in a chain setting. That's above and beyond. The store has pretty much everything you need and a lot of stuff you don't. It's worth strolling the aisles because it makes me remember I'm nearly out of bleach, etc. I like to check out their holiday stuff because it's pretty unique and generally pretty cheap. I have a personal attachment to this Walgreen's because I came here after oral surgery in a lot of pain and looking like hell. I was actually shaking and very pale from trying to manage the pain I was in. The pharmacist (an Asian lady) took one look at me and said "10 minutes honey". I was out of there in 5. Nice. read more

This pharmacy called me at 10:30am to let me know my Rx was ready. I arrived by 07pm and they could not find my order. They acted like it didn't exist until I referenced my call log indicating their call. They then sat punching keys on their computer for 5 mins without telling me what was going on. Then tried to play it off like "we must have put it back because there was a change in your insurance" which is totally false because they don't run insurance prior to the pick up. Subsequently had to sit and wait while they filled (refilled) the order. No apology, poor communication, botched management. Fail. read more

I usually like Walgreens pharmacies, as they tend to have nice selection of cosmetic brands and good deals too. However...... this one makes me want to drive 20 minutes to another pharmacy, I get anxiety just thinking of going to pick up a medicine. And unfortunately for the employees, as it is not their fault, as they all seem like good workers and polite, knowledgeable, energetic, etc. The problem here is that is SERIOUSLY UNDERSTAFFED in the pharmacy department. It is downright slap in the face to all the customers and to our community. I get so upset seeing seniors standing on a line for over 40 minutes, with a line of 17 plus, this is ridiculous and insulting. Families of all ages need to be able to get their medicine to maintain their health, it is a diservice to our community to treat sick families and our seniors like this. SHAME ON YOU WALGREENS for being so cheap to be so understaffed, so insensitive to our sick and elderly. And it is not right to do to your own employees either, one person should not have to do the work of three so that you can fatten your pockets read more

a giant walgreens on yonkers ave in yonkers with a even bigger spacious parking lot. it's big and spacious inside with plenty of elbow , legs and tank room to manuever inside aisle to aisle . i enjoy shopping solo cause it gives me the freedom to go section by section and pick what i need . the weekly flyer sales is what i like about walgreens and when an item is on sale it's usually half price off or better . i got what i needed and no wait on line so it's a win win on a sunday morning . Once again Walgreens lived up to its reputation -AWFUL. I ordered a set of photos early one morning then I arrive at This Yonkers Ave location to wait over 10 minutes to find out the photo lab was out of the photo paper. I asked to speak to the manager on duty on 1/21/16 at 3pm only to keep getting sarcastic answers on why I could not be notified the photo lab ran out of the needed. Paper. At the end of our very unpleasant conversation, the Manger on duty suggested I yelp Him so here You go. I don't remember his exact name. With all the CVS's poping up everywhere, You would think Walgreens would want to please their customers better read more
