So the day of our wedding the weather was 90% rain Miss Kelly kept a very watchful eye on the weather and our ceremony was done without any rain then it poured down and she was on top of getting everything in order moving to tables clearing out the water. Our guess we're never inconvenience her staff were very professional you didn't even realize they were there they moved quickly taking out trash arranging things to be in place and she was just an absolute angel. Yesterday I started with the watermelon salad and my husband had the melon salad with pesto sauce. They were both so good that he ordered the melon salad again today and I ordered the mussels and fries. The mussels were tender and the sauce that comes dressed on the fries, delicious. For my entree I ordered the avocado toast both days because it was just that good. For my husband's entree he ordered the risotto and added shrimp. It was good but he could do without the tomato sauce. And his old fashioned was made just right which for us is always the tell of a serious bar. Thank you, Bartender. Today we were greeted as soon as we walked in but yesterday we stood waiting for someone to greet us. And then we were told it was going to be a 10-15 minute wait for our table. I told her we'll wait because I'm sure it won't take 15 minutes to prepare one of the four empty tables that simply needed cleaning. It took them 2 minutes to seat us. There is an underwater tunnel you can walk through that goes under and through the big aquarium that is really nice as you watch fish and rays swim overhead! There is an aquarium for seals and one for penguins too that are really awesome. The Rainforest and the Aquariums were our favorites and the kids and adults both really enjoyed them!!! Great family fun and there are plenty of restrooms and gift shops at each pyramid. The big and main Gift Shop is at the entrance along with a food area. We really enjoyed our day there! Very sweet kid, but obviously had not been informed why he was dispatched as he had zero tools with him. He then left and went to find tools to open door and batteries to fix lock. He fixed it quickly once he returned and was very polite. I requested additional bedding as room is freezing and was informed housekeeping had left for the day and I was out of luck. So guess we are freezing. Hotel room is run down and looks strikingly like a hospital room. Based on high dollar price I paid, which was over a holiday weekend, so inflated prices it was a massive let down. I would not recommend based on price point and lobby service. Maintenance gentleman was excellent however.

I also would like to point out that the Convention Center itself is part of a bigger complex of buildings. If you have the ability to spread out your event you can use spaces in the hotels that share the complex. As far down as the San Luis I believe. One perk of using this space, and if you set it up, you can have a shuttle running between the many hotel buildings and the convention center. Sure beats having to walk the long blocks to get here. The only downside here is the amount of air conditioning being blasted from the rooms. I understand if there is a huge event with tons of people, but when you are sitting next to an empty room with no one in it, that air can make you think that you are sitting in the arctic. The biggest highlight of this space is the view. You have a great weather day outside and you get some beautiful views of the Gulf.

The friend called Robert, then returned and told me and my fiancé that he "was not interested" in renting to us--no explanation and no direct conversation. Being dismissed after being ready to commit financially felt unprofessional and disrespectful. The interaction left us feeling judged and not taken seriously as clients. But my wife, always with the champagne tastes was not so convinced. We debated this off and on for a couple weeks, and eventually she won out when she discovered a deal on TikTok for the Grand Galvez. TikTok has deals? Apparently. First impressions walking into the lobby: yeah, it's super nice. Quite a bit nicer than the Hyatt Select we were considering. And quieter in this area. The place almost paid for itself when we accessed the private beach. As you walk up, you're greeted with towels, water and covered seating. These things were especially welcomed during our visit when it was approximately 99 degrees with 278% humidity. As others have shared, the rooms are small, but they're not like Japan small. We had a room with two queen beds (maybe they were doubles?), and felt like we had plenty of space for what we needed. Our 7 year old son slept in one bed with my wife and I got a bed to myself. Maybe if you sharing a room with someone you don't want to be sleeping practically right next to, you'll wish you'd booked a different hotel. But this was great for us. Oddly enough for a historical hotel, they have the world's fanciest shower with so many buttons and knobs that it's hard to even figure out what to do. Ultimately, the shower itself was fine. The water got plenty hot and the pressure was solid, even if the angle was a bit weird. The beds were a bit softer than I'm used to, but comfortable. Because this was a short day trip for us, I actually packed my own pillows, so I can't speak much to those. We opted to valet for $40 a day, but there is a public parking garage right next door to the hotel. It's a nice place. Apparently scour TikTok before booking.

The only things I'd advise them to do differently is: no oil in the scalp massages, and less steam on the face during the facial. (Or ask the client beforehand) The Room - 501, Audra's room, the only option as far as I'm concerned. Spectacular view of the beach and ocean. Bring all your ghost hunting equipment. She preferred to speak through my witchboard, but there is a ouija board already there and set up for you! It was the cherry on top. The rest of the "normal" amenities were great, though I would've preferred a simpler shower (I needed an instruction manual haha), and a simple shower as well as an antique mirror would've matched the rest of the room much better. The interior designer needs help all over the place here... owls and monkeys amid jungle leaves at a beach hotel? No. And they really should've left the cream colour instead of the pink everywhere (the exterior paint especially) but that's just my opinion. The Pool - Fabulous! Perfect temperature and wonderful drinks, albeit a bit on the pricy side. The hot tub was a perfect temperature too, even if you just put your legs in. All in all, a marvelous stay but an expensive one.
