Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake was a really cool adventure for my kids. They loved all aspects…read moreof it! The adventure starts with a phone call. This isn't the type of adventure you can show up to on a whim. You have to schedule a visit in advance. I scheduled a date and time over the phone. They took my credit card info, a contact number and my kids' names. The first date I scheduled was cancelled due to inclement weather. Pirate Adventures called and cancelled the adventure about three hours prior to when it was supposed to start. I elected to reschedule right then. I was instructed to arrive a half hour before our adventure so the kids could get their faces painted and pick out a sash. We parked on the street a few blocks away not realizing they have a parking lot. We checked in, the kids were given name tags with their name and an alliterative adjective (ie Zig Zag Zora and Kung Fu Kieran) and then reported to the face painting and sash picking area. After face painting kids and adults boarded the boat and the Chesapeake part of the adventure began. The captain went over a few safety measures with the adults while his assistant went through guidelines with the kids. The adventure has a whole story with different parts involved that kept the seven kids on our adventure entertained. Ages ranged from probably three to fourteen. These parts included a map search, treasure hunt, key finding expedition, pirate fight and a final pirate bounty quest. For the adults, we just hung out under a shaded portion of the boat. I got up to interact with my kids a few times and to snap some pictures. Mostly I just enjoyed the boat ride. The whole adventure lasted almost two hours (counting face painting). If you have kids that love to pretend and don't mind riding a boat, Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake might be right up their alley.

Our group of jet skiiers included everyone from parent/child combos to adult couples and even expert jet skiiers. My wife and young daughter went on the banana boat experience since my daughter isn't old enough for jet skiing. They had a blast getting a ton of ocean spray in their face while being towed behind a motor boat (make sure to wear goggles). My son and I shared a jet ski and I was really impressed. They are certainly powerful (we got up to 60 km/hour), but have some impressive built-in safety features. There is an auto-break that applies whenever you approach the jet skiing boundaries or get too close to another jet ski or other boat. As a novice, I really appreciated that feature. The staff was uniformly friendly. The location is nice, located next to a public beach that we relaxed in afterwards, as well as a couple of bars (note you can't drink before jet skiing). There isn't a ton of parking, so factor that in as needed.

I ordered the winterization package and checked to see if it had been completed today 12/9. I was…read moretold it was not completed but would be done in the spring. The winterization required by Yamaha requires cylinders to be oil fogged as well as other corrosion prevention activities to prepare the motor for long periods of inactivity. My new batteries will not get the needed charging since I now have no access to my boat in the rack storage area. I was told they are backed up and should have ordered the service sooner. I was not informed the service might not get done when I ordered it. I just cancelled the service and will do it myself when I am able to get my boat out of the storage area in the spring. Needless to say this is my first and last year at Cedar Creek. Cedar Creek Marina's service falls far short of meeting customer service minimum expectations.

Called owner Marvin on July 6, 2021 to schedule time to drop off my boat w/40HP Yamaha (purchased…read morefrom Marvin) for service to correct hesitation from idle to throttling up. Marvin said 2-3 weeks before he could look at my engine. Flash forward to Aug 25 (7 weeks later) and after several calls to Marvin on updates on progress and getting no where. The final straw was Marvin telling me that he needed to contact CA on a "special tool". I finally gave up on them fixing my engine issue and told him I would be down to pick up my boat. Marvin presented me a $271 bill for NOT correcting my engine issue. I have purchased a Yamaha 300HP, Yamaha 25HP and this Yamaha 40HP from Marvin and this is how I was treated, ZERO customer support/contact (not once did anyone from Cedar Creek marina call me to update me on status on my engine issue and a $271 bill for not repairing my boat. Boat is now at Taylor's marine. Cedar Creek Marina has a B- rating with BBB.

Warning, imagine someone standing over you pouring 5 gal buckets of water on top of your head. over and over. we could go nowhere else but home after, drowned rats, warning, wear bathing suits only, and plastic or croc shoes. They really should tell you this at the ticket booth, we saw one ruined phone, lost glasses, and lost hats. i was holding onto my prescrip glasses the whole time. its not rough, just soaking wet and wind. $20 is ok for the ride up the coast, but dont expect speed thrills. and either wear suits or have extra clothes in your car. wrap your wallet in plastic and leave your phones at home. First and Last for this.

Rehoboth Bay is is a large pool of water in the back of Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. There are…read moreseveral bayside communities in Long Neck Delaware that boarder this bay as well. Rehoboth Bay is popular for fishing and boating. The most popular fishing catches are flounder and crabs. Some striper fish also migrate back in Rehoboth Bay but the larger ones tend to stay out near Indian River Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. During Holiday's Rehoboth Bay is very crowded which makes fishing very hard. Excessive boat traffic cause the fish to hide in deep holes. The best time to fish seems to be morning, late afternoon, and evening. There are shallow sandbars everywhere which is great for anchoring your boat and swimming. A lot of people even rake for clams.
