Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. They found a bucket in the house and put it under the drips, called me, and sent a video to my phone. When I landed I was able to schedule a plumber right away to meet me at the house. By having the bucket in place they prevented untold damage to the kitchen and basement. They've been easy to schedule and work with and respond quickly to e-mails. When I come home my little dude is always happy, well fed, and has plenty of water in his dish. If I wasn't moving far away, I'd definitely continue using their service. My dog was visibly anxious and struggling to settle in an already stressful environment. Instead of showing understanding, I overheard front desk staff making comments to one another about my dog, assuming I couldn't hear them. They were laughing under their breath and remarked that their dog would never need to be muzzled like mine. As a pet owner doing my best to manage a nervous animal responsibly, that was humiliating and unnecessary. What was especially concerning is that I was asked to muzzle my dog in the lobby while he was already showing signs of distress. Doing so in a crowded space only escalated the situation and created a potential safety concern for anyone nearby. Muzzling is a valid safety tool, but how and when it's handled matters -- and this was not handled appropriately. A veterinary office should be a place where pet owners feel supported, especially when their animals are struggling. Compassion and professionalism are not optional in this field. Unfortunately, neither was demonstrated by the front desk staff during my visit. I truly hope management addresses this, because no client -- or animal -- should be treated this way.

She was timely in sending the onboarding paperwork, and completing the set-up was easy. She set up a Zoom call (since my request for service was only 2 days away), and "met" me and my dog virtually. It was perfect. Every day while I was away, one of Prance Around's team members showed up during my specified window and walked my dog for 45 minutes. I received a custom walk report via email every day following the walk, and it usually included pictures. I LOVE that feature! While on vacation, a family member became critically ill and required hospitalization immediately upon our return to the US. I was able to email Prance Around and extend service for an additional week without any problems. Our service commitment ended, and only a few short days later, my family member was back in the hospital.
