i had high expectations since there was a decent line to order and the reviews looked good. interior was very cool and vibey and there are a ton of seats outside but unfortunately the drinks itself ruined the experience completely. the ube and pandan matcha were extremely watery, even when the drinks first came out and no ice had melted yet. they were simply undrinkable; the pandan flavor was basically a suggestion and the ube flavor was barely there and made the drink chalky. strawberry syrup in the strawberry matcha saved the drink but it was very sweet. the matcha in all three drinks was not pronounced or even identifiable at all. the latte was also watery but tasted decent because of the coffee flavor. staff were very nice but unfortunately did not live up to expectations at all. 1/10 read more

my friends got an iced chai latte with oat milk and an iced salted caramel latte with oat milk. They both were raving about how good it was. I got a cold brew with sugar-free vanilla syrup. I thought it was pretty good. I'm glad that they offered a sugar-free syrup option. my friend tried to offer a croissant, but they said they were no longer serving those items at the hour that we came (2pm) the baristas were friendly and helpful. I will say that the service was not very quick. We waited a pretty extensive period of time for our three drinks. There were other people in the establishment so I understand they had their hands full. The price was on the more expensive side, especially considering that the portion was not all that generous . they accepted contactless payment. There was plenty of seating inside and outside . There were some swinging benches which my friends thought were very cool. I saw people working in there and also meeting with people, so it seems like a good place to get work done. I believe that they have free Wi-Fi. There was a bathroom located around the corner that you needed a key card for, but they posted instructions on how to access it, which was helpful and when I needed further help, they answered my questions. I stopped by on a Saturday at 10 a.m. and there were two people in line ahead of me and then about five minutes after waiting the line got long. It's a very popular spot and there were also people inside chatting with their friends etc, on their laptops, or reading, etc as well as at their outside patio. This spot is quite spacious inside and outside but getting in line to order can get pretty cramped. It was my turn to order and the staff member at the register greeted me with a warm welcome and a smile. I ordered their iced strawberry matcha and I liked it, especially since it had strawberry bits and not just strawberry syrup like other coffee shops. 5/5 I was tempted to go back for seconds but I restrained myself and I plan to go again. I recently visited Wall Writers Coffee. To start off with the positives. The decor inside is very nice. Lots of seating and nice decor. The coffee itself taste good but they use Kean Coffee. The service seemed unfriendly. The shop closes at 2:30. We were told around 2:20 that we had to go outside the store if we wanted to drink our coffee. This was the most unpleasant thing about my visit. The shop is difficult to find. It is located near an office building near the Irvine Spectrum. I tried the strawberry white mocha (3.5/5) and blueberry white mocha (4/5). The blueberry white mocha isn't on the menu but I wanted to try and they were able to adjust for me and I definitely think the flavor compliments better than strawberry and they also make their blueberry syrup in house! I don't think the strawberry goes that well and tastes slightly artificial. Overall the drinks aren't that creamy either. Next time I'm definitely trying the pandan matcha! Service was great. The cashier was super helpful in choosing drinks and very knowledgeable. The place itself is super cute - plenty of seating indoors and outdoors if you want to get some work done. The Ube Matcha had a nice, clean Matcha flavor with no Ube flavor whatsoever. The Ube Latte had an average Latte flavor with, again, no Ube flavor whatsoever. The best part of the Ube was the pretty color it had in the drinks making both of us wonder if it was just food dye. I'm giving a 3-star mostly because of the disappointment in the Ube flavor. Here is what we ordered: Salted Caramel Latte: We weren't able to taste much of the salted caramel. It did have a int of sweet, but we couldn't pin it on salted caramel. Not sure if we would get this again. Strawberry Matcha: Very aesthetic drink that tasted good. It was the perfect amount of sweet and had strawberry jam instead of strawberry syrup/flavoring. I would get this again! I would have to say that this place would be average for getting work done. I always like spots with charging ports or outlets, and it was definitely hard to come by here. I had to plug in my laptop next to a stranger for a bit to let it charge. If you aren't looking for a place to plug in, there are lots of shared table spaces to work at. This place is literally SO COOL! I kid you not, I was in awe when I arrive at this place. I've heard great things about them, but I was finally able to stop by over the weekend. They had some really interested summer drinks, so I got the Sparkling Matcha Yuzu. The space is designed as an indoor outdoor kind of vibe, with so many comfy looking seating options. There's also plenty of tables indoors to get work done. I really love how there seemed to be so many meet up groups here. I think I saw a book club happening? The whole vibe of this place was just cool, and it's something you wouldn't even know was tucked in a business plaza. Parking is free, and there's plenty of spots. My drink was super refreshing. Although the matcha did feel a bit overpowering, the sparkling soda and yuzu helped. It reminds me of a coffee tonic -- something that's more of an acquired taste. Summary: Great Coffee place for the fun coffee and ambiance When I think of a coffee place like the ones in Korean Dramas, I think of this place. It has a nice energetic yet chill vibe. There are plenty of tables to study on, swing chair to chill and long tables for larger groups to have discussion. It is not pretentious and their staff knows their drinks. There is also an outdoor part with plenty of shade to enjoy SoCal weather. There is also a decent food options ranging from parfaits to salads. If you are a coffee aficando you know what you will order but suffice to say that most of coffee friends love this place. If not sure what to order, I would suggest try pandan latte. Cute spot for decent coffee with plenty of outdoor seating and inside workspace. The servers said that their specialty lattes are a 7/10 sweetness level so I opted for a just a classic iced latte which was pretty good.
