I came here earlier today to get some work done, and overall, the experience was just okay. Pros: Lots of outdoor seating available Plenty of shade for hot days Clean restrooms Handicap accessible Plenty of free parking Open, pet-friendly space with walking and grassy areas Flexible seating. You can easily rearrange tables to suit your needs Great coffee menu with reasonable prices Cons: The Wi-Fi was terrible. I had to use my own hotspot, which was frustrating since most of us come to coffee shops to enjoy a cup of coffee and get work done. Without reliable Wi-Fi, it really defeats the purpose of making the drive here. There was no music, so you can hear everyone's conversations unless you bring headphones. It can get really hot outside Otherwise unless they figure out their WiFi unfortunately I will not be back here for work. However, it is a cool spot to meet up with friends or simply come to enjoy coffee and not work.

Best coffee in the area. I wish there was more Blue Hummingbirds in Irvine in this side of town. Almost feels like every community could have one of these smaller local stores. Have tried many of their drinks. The flat white and the blue hummingbird latte are my favorites. Service is quick and the outdoor seating area is nice and cozy with local families and kids.

Absolutely loved this place! The coffee was amazing. Honestly way better than the average big-name coffee chains. You can really taste the quality. They also had vegan pastries, which was perfect for my son who has allergies. It's such a relief finding places that are thoughtful and inclusive with their menu. The service from Luis and Mayo was warm, friendly, and genuinely inviting. They made the whole experience even better. It's also dog-friendly and even has treats for your furry friends, which is such a cute touch. Will definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend.

Ambiance ~ STARS 3/5 The cushion chairs are nice but need to be wiped off or cleaned after it rains. We sat on the cushions not knowing they were wet. There is an inside area to sit and an outdoor patio, which are both pleasant. It seems like a hip location inside an industrial area, so a lot of business oriented people come to this spot. The service was quick and servers were friendly! The people working inside made me smile! Food ~ STARS 3.5/5 Earthy items to select from such as non-sugared chia seed pudding with granola and fruit. The coffee can be chosen to drink in an in house cup to sit on the patio or in a to go container. I would have liked to have seen more pastries inside the glass container when we were ordering at 11:30 am. I would give this location another try with food when I'm in the area. Parking ~ STARS 4/5 You may get lucky to find a parking spot inside this industrial building complex because there are a bunch of businesses. There are plenty of handicap spots and parking slots just outside the coffee house if they aren't taken by the businesses. Maybe the owner can place signs for customer specific parking for quick entrance of a duration of time such as "Hummingbird Cafe Parking for 30 minutes only".

I am so glad I came here. I got the blue hummingbird latte and LOVED IT. the coffee was perfectly balanced and creamy. The pandan and blue spirulina combo was amazing. The staff were so kind even with 7 of us coming in right before closing. The inside is a bit small but there is so much outdoor seating.

Happy to have found this rad little coffee shop in this residential area near the Great Park!

Perfect coffee spot! Easy street parking, a super nice seating area, and such a great atmosphere to relax or catch up with friends. The coffee is always excellent, and the pastries are consistently fresh and delicious. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots!

A little different from your average OC coffee shop, the CUP by Blue Hummingbird is nestled in a a neighborhood of townhomes and condos near the Great Park. It's small, with no indoor seating, but there's plenty of options here. I've had the Hojicha black sugar latte and have tried the signature blue hummingbird latte (espresso or matcha latte with pandan syrup). The black sugar Hojicha latte was unique, as was the blue hummingbird latte, but I didn't get a really strong pandan flavor. They also have a pretty wide selection of baked goods for such a teeny spot. I've had their financier and their vegan donuts, both are tasty. Overall, this is a great spot if you're on a walk in the neighborhood (but there's also plenty of street parking too) but I recommend ordering well in advance to beat the long lines.

Loveeee their coffees! Their cafe is located in between corporate offices so the area is not too busy on the weekends. Perfect for meeting a coworker or friend to chat in their outdoor seating with plenty of shade and breeze to chat over coffee. The day I went they had Mr Brown's financier and they were a teeny bit drunk that day but the flavors were phenomenal. Very close to my home so I would visit again!

Hi do you have any Sugar Free Syrups?

    Yes, sugar free vanilla.

What brand of almond milk is used?

I know for Oat Milk they use Califafarms, so perhaps they use that for Almond as well?

Are the syrups used in lattes made in house?

Hello, all syrups for the signature drinks are made in house. Cheers!

The sweetness was well balanced, and the flavors were enjoyable without being overpowering. They were handing out samples of their hazelnut chocolate bars, and after one bite, I knew I had to step inside to look around and try some more. Such luxuriously rich and smooth chocolate morsels that melt so exquisitely in your mouth (where you can taste and smell the layers of quality ingredients contained in each piece). Really took me back to my last trip to Switzerland when I overindulged in chocolates and fondue (and it was so very worth it). Pricing is by the pound if you get items a la carte. Truffles and pralines are $84 per lb (works out to be average of $3 per piece) and their chocolate bark bars (aka FrischSchoggi) are about $60 to $64 per lb. Otherwise there are prepackaged boxes at set prices ranging from about $20 to $150 and more. Today I sampled the hazelnut chocolate bar, pava praline square, a white chocolate espresso truffle, and a champagne truffle. I ultimately decided to purchase the pava praline set (comes with 8 pieces) and 5 pieces of the white chocolate expresso truffles. Total was just under $40. Truffles came in nicely designed, minimalistic boxes. They are located on the second floor of the Bloomingdale's wing of South Coast Plaza, above Sephora.

Only recently was I able to visit and try their croffles and other sweets. Did NOT know that this was inside the H Mart food court in Diamond Jamboree. There's no indicator for the parking garage so on a particularly busy day, you can head all the way to the top, find nothing and navigate through the hell crowds trying to leave. Ambiance is a very casual, counter order business in the food court. There's seating there, but we ate really close by. Definitely something you have to eat immediately or the texture will not be optimal or it might get soggy. We got the tiramisu croffle and they toasted it and put it together for us there. The lady working there packed it up nicely in a to go box and we got some cookies (regular ones and almond crisp ones). It's a bit sweet, but they're dessert pastries so that makes sense. Goes great with a brewed cup of tea. Croffle had a nice semi-chewy texture and the tiramisu flavor added a bit of a coffee taste to it. Good balance of the cream and croffle. Look but no touching. Weird I know. Not anymore though! Now that I know just how tasty J. Sweets candies are, all I have to say is "GET IN MY BELLY!" J. Sweets is located inside of the Mitsuwa marketplace right at the back entrance into the food court. We arrived around 6:30 pm right before the dinner rush. Luckily there was still plenty of parking available. I was quickly but kindly approached by a lady at the counter. I wish I got her name. She was super sweet, patient and very knowledgeable of everything that they offered. She wasn't a pushy salesman at all. In fact, she made me feel very welcome. She showed me around their small space packed with all kinds of desserts. Although space was tight and limited, everything was neatly stacked so as to not look like a mess. I told her I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy but that I don't like very sweet anything. She had me try a piece of milk chocolate with caramel. The chocolate sample was amazing, smooth, decadent, sinfully rich without the use of excessive sugar. You can tell they use high quality ingredients. What we bought; 1) I purchased a dark chocolate bar without liqueur - after that tester she gave me, I couldn't resist and I don't regret spending the money on it either. Wow. This is one of those things you hide from the household in hopes that nobody finds it. LOL. Jk. Or am I? 2) mochi cream in strawberry shortcake and double mango. I loved them both. Again, you can really tell the quality in the ingredients used to make their products. Next time I go back, i will definitely buy some Hattendo cream buns, some of their other chocolates that have liqueur, and the mixed packs. J. Sweets was such a special trip for us and the customer service was wonderful. We cannot wait until we go back and stock up on treats again.

Instead, he recommended the *Creamtella* and their matcha beverages. I was absolutely blown away; who would have thought that *Cheesetella's matcha drinks would be this delicious?! There is a wide selection of matcha drinks available in-store. The owner mentioned that they use high-quality matcha (I'm guessing he meant ceremonial grade?), and he even showed me their preparation process--specifically how they whisk it to achieve that smooth, "mirror-like" finish! Matcha Einspanner Personally, I prefer this kind of simple flavor profile: matcha blended with a rich, thick cream topping. It offers a satisfyingly subtle tea aroma with every sip--a true delight for any matcha enthusiast! Strawberry Matcha w/ Pistachio Cream If you love strawberries and enjoy sweet flavors, you'll likely enjoy this one. However, since I'm not personally a huge fan of the combination of strawberry jam and matcha, I felt just "okay" about it--though it is a tasty drink! The pistachio cream topping definitely earns some extra points here! Creamtella The combination of cream and cake gave me a whole new appreciation for their pastries. The cream perfectly counteracts the cake's tendency to be a bit dry; together, they make for a truly perfect pairing! You absolutely *must* give this a try!! It gets a huge thumbs-up from me! Chocotella This one is fairly standard and straightforward. The small chocolate pieces add a nice textural element, and the flavor is a definite plus--especially if you're a chocolate lover! However, the cake itself leans a bit toward the drier side--much like their original plain flavor (which is why I still highly recommend going for the versions with added cream!) To be honest, the first time I tried their cakes, I wasn't particularly impressed. Later, I saw posts suggesting that heating them up before eating makes them taste much better. But this time, the *Creamtella* truly blew me away, completely changing my opinion of the brand. And the matcha drinks are just the icing on the cake! The owner is genuinely a wonderful person--so friendly and enthusiastic! Since it's just him and one other employee working in the shop, making the drinks takes a little time, so please be patient! ^_^
