    Turkish tastes

Great favorable strong Turkish coffee that shakes you up. It's good to have a jolt when we stumbled into it early in the morning. Coffee lovers come and go for their morning refresher to last a day or few hours. Interest aroma and strong coffee wakes up my senses and palates. Pastry is good as well.

Kean coffee is so cute!!!! Met here with some cohort mates to get work done, and everyone was so incredibly friendly. I'm really impressed with the staff. The Turkish latte was also really good! One con: I didn't see any outlets, but I also didn't check the whole store.

We stopped by Kean Coffee in Tustin and had a great experience--the staff was friendly and service was quick, and the affogato was excellent with smooth, rich espresso over creamy ice cream that wasn't too sweet; simple, high-quality, and I'll definitely be back.

Amazing as always! White chocolate mocha with oat milk and a white chocolate mocha with raspberry infused- tastes like a delicious warm treat! Service was quick, helpful and ambiance as quiet and calm. I never regret a stop for coffee here.

Saturday Morning, the place was packed and most tables were filled. It gave me Starbucks vibes from about 15-20 years ago. Ordered the almond croissant and grasshopper. Grass hopper was a mint and vanilla combo. This ended up being an odd combination where the mint and vanilla were slight but muted. Overall it was interesting, but it wasn't something I would ordered again. The almond croissant was a run of the mill almond croissant, for 5 bucks you can probably find other options. Overall vibe, possibly visit again when I'm in the area for a regular cup of coffee.

If you are in the mood for a strong coffee, this shop is wonderful. I come here when I really need a caffeine boost.

I tried to buy this coffee there, they do not sell it to the public and did not know what beans were used.

Good coffee roaster and coffee shop. Knowledgeable person ti talk to me about their coffees. The one big problem is that I came in there trying to find a KEAN COFFEE that is served by BAGELS & BREW in Lake Forest (21771 Lake Forest Dr, Ste 100, Lake Forest, CA 92630), but there were these issues: 1. KEAN COFFEE roasts this WHOLESALE ONLY for Bagels & Brew. It is not available for sale to the public. Flavored coffees are not sold to the public at the location. 2. The knowledgeable person did not even know what beans were used in the wholesale coffee. It was not even possible to identify what beans or ground to buy, even if the flavored version was not available. 3. I like SMOOTH and MELLOW light roasted coffees. They are hard to find in the STARBUCKS type era of Burned-to-a-crisp, dark, French Roasts (which I hate). Had to just simply try buying light roast coffees, but I still have not found this yet. Gave up and started buying COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAF - L.A. Brew LOS FELIZ. It was closer than the Columbia Gesha I bought at Kean. Not a lot of light roasts available for purchase, and they are still very pricey at over $20/pound. None are really smooth and mellow.

The coffee was flavorful and you get what you are expecting. Some coffee places describe a coffee and you don't taste their flavors which is disappointing. Mocha was undoubtedly mocha! My friend ordered a breakfast treat that said was delicious. It was a bit crowded even for a weekday but it's close to downtown so wasn't surprised. Service was quick.

Delicious options of sweet and savory.

This is one of our favorite coffee stops in Tustin and Irvine area. A convenient parking lot, clean restrooms, and plenty of seating are available at this location. The staff is very nice. They have a large drink menu and a great variety of baked goods. We ordered a drip coffee and a mocha on this visit. Sometimes the drips are better than others. Today's drip was my not our favorite, but it wasn't bad. The mocha was delicious.

Can we just stop and appreciate when you are at a loss of what to order and the staff can make a quality suggestion. I couldn't just order a latte or coffee, that's too basic for here. But I also couldn't decide and the barista after asking a few questions suggested their Turkish Latte with cardamom. First time for everything. It was DEVINE! The flavor of the coffee, oatmilk, and cardamom was earthy and the perfect temp. I was sad I had gone with a small.

    Binita R.

The food and coffee were really good, and the chocolate mousse cake was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. The only thing I didn't love was the interior--it feels quite old-fashioned, with furniture that looks 30 years old. I understand it's part of their theme, but as an interior designer, it didn't really work for me and made the seating feel a bit uncomfortable. If they refreshed the interior while keeping the same theme, it could make a big difference. Overall, great coffee and desserts--definitely worth a visit if you're a coffee lover.

Since there are quite a few espresso selections sold as beans, I was wondering if you can choose which roast gets used for your drink? Or is there just one that gets used for the drinks, and the rest are sold beans-only?

There is no WiFi service, so there are no extra outlets for laptop users. This coffee shop encourages non electronic communications amongst its patrons.

Still, I decided to give this place a second chance (no angry neighbor this time), and I was glad I did! PARKING: There's street parking around the neighborhood - I parked on Almond Ave so I wasn't in front of a house. The spots right outside the shop were 30 minute only. If you can't find parking there's probably tons as you go east if you're willing to walk. WHAT I ORDERED: Pistachio cream cold brew THE DRINK: Amazing. I've had my share of acidic or bitter cold brews, and this was not one of them. The cream was perfectly sweetened and flavored . SERVICE: Exceeded my expectations. The baristas when I came in were very bubbly and answered my questions and gave me suggestions, and were funny too! I wish I got their names, but they were working on Monday early afternoon - I hope they get some recognition. Very cool that there were private rooms (which can be reserved two hours in advance if you call them), tables, bar-style seating upstairs, and most importantly, comfy couches!! * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions BOTTOM LINE: I can't believe I almost missed out on this gem. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.
