I was worried about getting furniture delivered downtown, as I live right across the street from San Jose City Hall, but they showed up early, got it to the 9th floor, and installed it smooth as silk, and they did it all within 20 minutes. Seriously, the guy is a pro. I had a really good experience with them, and would buy from them again! They have a smaller selection but everything they sell is cheaper than other places, so if you're looking to save some money, I would check in every so often to see what their stock is.

My experience however was not like that at all. I was greeted by a extremely kind and professional manager - Mattress Mike. He guided us to the types of beds we would likely enjoy based on our preferences shared to him, and gave us privacy and space to try them out at our own pace. It made us want to stay longer and try out all the mattresses at the store (which we did). Many of the mattresses here are amazing and great quality, and it was great to slowly linger in the store and experience all of them. Whenever I had a question, Mike wouldn't be too far away to quickly answer it, then he'd leave or go help other customers and gave us space and privacy to continue with our experience. His salesmanship is stellar and his customer service as well. If you're looking for quality mattresses as well as an A+ mattress experience, I would highly recommend this location and in particular visiting when the store manager Mike is in. I had a really great experience buying a mattress and base from Purple. I had seen one of their…read moremattresses at Living Spaces and the person there told me to check the store at Valley Fair to see a larger selection. I went and looked in person to see what they had, and I liked the most expensive one there that was about $7K. I couldn't really justify buying that, so I did a bit more research and took their quiz online for recommendations, and I ended up selecting the Restore Plus Hybrid which was about half of that price! I also saw they were having Presidents' Day deals when I signed up on their website. When I went back, knowing more about what I wanted, I ended up talking to Daryl, who is one of the best service employees I've met in a LONG time. I saw a lot of other reviews here mentioning him, and I hope his manager knows what a gem he is. Daryl helped me in getting a quote for the mattress and frame I wanted and emailed it to me. I asked him a question via email and he got back to me, offering me a bit more of a discount. When I was ready to buy, I came into the store and waited until he was available to help me complete the transaction. He helped me to not only get the best price but that I should check if my credit card had cash-back deals, saving me even more money! I felt like he was very genuine and looking out for me. It was initially a good shopping experience but now that our mattress has arrived we're a bit…read moredisappointed and feeling a bit mislead. We were in the market for a replacement mattress and wanted to try many brands. We are not the people who are gonna be able to afford an $8000 mattress but we wouldn't mind spending $2-4,000 on a worthwhile option. The sales person sold us on the fact that Helix mattresses aren't "bed in a box" like brands like Casper and Nectar, where they compress the mattresses into a tiny package because that can negatively affect the life or integrity of the materials. We agreed and decided to go ahead and spend more money on the Helix for that and other reasons. Well, they delivered today and our king-sized mattress showed up in this TINY little rolled and vacuumed-sealed package. The delivery guys broke the seal and laid out this tiny flat pancake of a mattress on our bed and said that it would take at least a couple of hours for it to decompress. We have now confirmed with Helix that all of their mattresses are compressed (they are, it turns out, just another "bed in a box" company like the ones we were cautioned against...) Now we're wondering if we should've just gone for one of the equivalent mattresses from some of the cheaper online brands, whether it's from a brick and mortar like Mancini's or online. We are also wondering what else we were told that wasn't really the case. Is the warranty as good as he made it sound? We're feeling a bit tricked into buying a better product that we received. Had we been given the correct information about how the mattress would arrive, we may have still chosen to buy that one, but at least we would've had the information to be able to make the decision. Now we have to wait 30 days before we can return it and it's gonna cost us $99+ to do so. Even if we end up liking the bed, we won't tolerate having anything in our home that has bad juju like something that we were mislead about.
