This review is for the alterations department at Nordstrom's…read moreI took in a jacket that I had bought outside of Nordstrom's to have it altered. I made the appointment online, didn't really get clear instructions on how to connect with alterations once I get there. I ended up standing at the women's dressing rooms, waiting after multiple people attempted to get a hold of them. They gave me a two week timeframe to get the alterations done. They were not done in that timeframe. When I went to pick up the jacket, I realized that they had just taken in the sides and not taken in the darts. This made the jacket very oddly So I left the jacket again paid more money and I was able to pick it up today. Everybody was very friendly. I'm not sure that I would go through their alterations department again. Parking can be a little bit of a pain and the pick up is the same department as online shopping so there's always a long line.

I especially like this location because they have an excellent selection of Korean skin care brands that I have already like to use. They also have a lot of seasonal items without being overwhelming like HomeGoods. Don't get me wrong. I love HomeGoods, but sometimes I go in there and my head just starts spinning. I've consistently found that TJ Maxx has the best prices on these items consistently. Sometimes the line at the register is really long, but they are generally pretty efficient and you can get through it without too much pain.

I walked in and start looking at the suits and within 5 minutes, Rey came out of his office and asked if I needed help. I told him I was looking for a suit for a funeral. He acknowledged what I said and he recommended a black suit. He asked if I knew my size and I told him what I wore a year ago. He gave me a 2 jackets to try on and 4 pants. He wanted to make sure I had a comfortable fit so he gave me various options, which in the first time, I felt he went above and beyond. I told him I needed a bigger size for the pants and he told me to wait in the waiting room and he'll get me it. WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. He didn't know if I was going to buy the suit or not and he already went above and beyond. I did buy the suit and love it. I really appreciate Rey as my personal stylist. Thank you again, Rey.

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

The mall itself has great stores, but what stood out to me was the number of homeless individuals throughout property. As a shopper, I did not feel comfortable walking around the mall. My two young kids were very uncomfortable, I have to move them from the food court and sit and eat elsewhere. For a high-end shopping destination, I expected a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment. Management needs to do a better job maintaining the property and ensuring guests feel comfortable while shopping. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won't be returning.
