In London last week, my fiancée noticed a hole at the left shoulder seam. Yesterday, I went to San Diego store to report the defective sweater to a sales rep. I ordered a purse as a gift for my sister with Carole. I was told by Carole I will have 30 days to return since she was ordering it online for me. I was notified by Carole the bag was arrived in store for me to pick up. Due to being busy with work, I couldn't pick it up right away. Once I picked it up, not even a week later I returned to the store to return (as my sister wanted cash instead). The female manager initially kept saying I couldn't return because I had 14 days to return from the date of purchase. 14 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE? not 14 days from pick up? I have never in my life experienced this kind of racism, that I have today at Prada in Fashion Valley. Earlier today my mom and I walked in and at the front door we were asked if we are looking for anything..I though that was nice but I mentioned that no we were just looking. In all honesty I was looking for a pair of heels and my mom wanted a bag for her trip to Paris so we were looking to see what stood out to us. I was dressed in Lululemon's and my mom was in a casual t shirt and dress pants, yet apparently we were a threat to the woman at the front door wearing a bright neon yellow cardigan. As soon as we walked in the woman locked the front door. Typically stores do this if they are closing soon, but it was 3pm! As we noticed she did that, I didn't have a good feeling about how we were being treated so we decided to not purchase anything from here!!! As we walked out she unlocked the door and let someone else in...then when my mom and I went to YSL where we purchased a bag...we walked passed Prada to find that people were shopping inside and the door was back to being wide open! I was shocked that the woman working there thought we would take something and run! Before doing that this woman needs to learn to not judge a book by it's cover because I can easily purchase the entire store if I wanted to! Definitely never going here again and will proceed to purchase Prada from the NY SoHo location even though I live in San Diego. Excellent customer service. I took my Prada keychain "Edward" to this Fashion Valley location to get fixed because one of the arms fell off. They were able to fix it, but they no longer carry the brown arms that my keychain had. The manager called me to verify if this was okay to switch to blue and I said yes, otherwise it would've came back unrepaired. Originally, the man I dropped my keychain off with said that it would take about 12 weeks. I was able to pick it up in 3 weeks and I was surprised! They also tightened his head for me and when I picked up my keychain the lady said that if anything falls apart within a year then they will replace it with no charge. This review is for the Prada Store within Nordstrom Fashion Valley. I understand Marie is the manager of both and is the person I dealt with. I wish there was an option for zero stars as Nordstrom should cancel their lease with Prada. I've never dealt with such blatant liars and lack of integrity in a retailer as the Prada store in Nordstom. Today I drove from Nordstom UTC to Nordstrom Fashion Valley when the UTC store found a purse that I was seeking at the Prada store. They agreed to hold it until the end of the day so I could come pick it up. When I showed up at the Prada store I was told by Marie that the purse was sold to someone else and that they told Prada that I was not coming which was a total lie. Why would the store send me down there if the product was not available? Prada : How stupid are you and don't think anyone believes your BS when you deceive a customer?! Prada is in SAN DIEGO, now I do not have to drive to another city to shop. Love the new store, it's beautiful and the staff is what you would expect from Prada. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. I love shopping from my seat and items are just brought to me including my credit receipt (yes I shopped). Me being a previous store manager from that same mall knows the type of customers that mall has , and usually the most humble looking ones are the ones that spent !!!!! So this is the third time this location does this to me . I came from doing my mom duties and husband decided to meet me at this store to buy me a gift , we walked to the back because I have been looking for a pair of glasses so we where trying glasses on . When I asked if they had a certain pair she said very rude those didn't come in that color. First of all I wouldn't be asking if I knew they didn't come in that color . Cassandra has helped me several times, she's very sweet and keeps in touch: emails and texts any new arrivals and she's very responsive if you have any items that you are on the lookout for. I went in to get the new fragrance Candy Midnight, I believe that was it. The sale girl I think with dark hair, short told me they don't have it. Although I called customer service before driving all the way down there to make sure they have it, customer service said the FV store has it. Anyway, I drive all the way back there AGAIN the next morning, and the girl said we no have, exactly like that, we no have. I left, I called customer service again, and another spanish girl help me very nice said yes we have the fragrance, and she went in the back to get it. Nice store layout. The customer service could use some work.... it was like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Jenn rang up my transaction and another service rep wrapped my purchase in the back. Ohh and this place doesn't offer beverages or anything like the one up at South Coast plaza. Back to my experience... It wasn't until I got home when I realized that I was rang up for the correct item however a different item was wrapped up in the bag. Negligent to say the least. Great customer service! Roy M. Was very knowledgeable with the bags I was interested in. He was also very nice :) showed me a lot of options for the color of the bag I was looking for. There was another staff [had pinky cheeks] he was really nice too. This store is my mans favorite store out of all the name brands here in Fashion Valley mall. Designs are simple, classy & professional, great for women business women. One sad thing is that the gold emblem part came off after 2 years of using the bag... Terrible, terrible customer experience. The shoes are expensive and unwearable. They actually should not be called shoes and more like clogs made out of nails. I highly don't recommend buying with them! I can't believe they are so shortsighted as I am a frequent buyer of theirs. In just this event I bought two belts, slippers, a jacket, and these dreadful shoes! Mary the manager had a way to make me feel as I am being put on trial. She mentioned that they would look over their cameras and she claimed that I walked out of the store wearing the shoes and that is the reason they cannot except a refund. Prada, experience while shopping there is great! The service is spectacular! They know their products. ( I like getting items that aren't new (not in season), so they do have to know their stuff to find what I'm looking for.) If you have returns or issues with the product for repairs, not so great. When I first shopped here last year, I was advised to place an online store order for a wallet that wasn't in stock, to see what it'll look like with the bag I purchased from another Prada branch (waited for the bag to be sent to the store). I was informed that if I decided to go with another wallet, I can simply return it. (I did decide to go with another wallet) To find out there is really no return option! Instead, you'll be given store credit under your account name. This year I purchased a tote in August, within 3 weeks the emblem had a chip on it and I brought it back to be repaired. The lady said it'll take 4-8weeks. It's been 5 weeks and the guy I recently talked to on the phone said it'll take at least 8 weeks. I got him to look up the information on when NY got the shipment & if they sent out my bag. I found out that the store sent my bag out a week after I gave them the bag for repair, leaving me with more time anticipating the return of my bag! Overall, when it comes to buying they're great, but be cautious before you buy! There's No real option for returns & they're like snails when it comes to shipping your items out for repairs. (LV gives better services when it comes to repairs, sometimes you don't deal with the inconvenience of waiting for repair services and get a new replacement of the same product.) read more

Went in to look at men's wallets yesterday and there was an short, older Asian lady that just finished helping other people and me and my partner were right in front of her and she looked down and walked away ignoring us.( we were in front of the men's wallet showcase and she was behind it, so literally right in front of her) And she didn't know I was looking at her when I saw her signaling security to watch us. Smh. I've never had a problem going into luxury stores even when I'm in yoga pants and no purse until now when I'm dressed nice & in Gucci. Makes no sense. My partner found a wallet that he wanted and the price wasn't even a problem but we both said no Bc we didn't like how she acted. We were the only ones in the store and all the way in the back and security was in that section. Terrible customer service. I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses and they refuse to send out my glasses for warranty work ,the glasses have a manufacturing defect, they are less then a year old. I would avoid this store and go to nordstrom or another quality retailer that knows how to take care of their customers. My first Prada purchase was a beautiful, black, crossbody chain wallet! It was everything I wanted except for the fact that it wasn't able to hold all of my cards. It made it look very bulky and was difficult to button back up. Therefore, I decided to return it a week later only to find out their policy only allows exchanges and store credit. It would have been nice for my salesman to have made that known before my purchase. He specifically mentioned that returns were allowed within 14 days, but failed to make known that it was only limited to store credit and exchanges. Because of this, I was forced to find another wallet within the store... Which was perfectly fine, but was a tad upset because I felt as if the woman who was assisting me was consistently staring me down throughout the duration of me being inside the store. I felt rushed while choosing another product! Like damn. Let me think and decide in peace without you standing in front of me the entire time as if I was going to steal something. During my initial visit, I was helped by Martha, who was very sincere and delightful. I wish she was the one who were to help me during my last visit because she was amazing! I really like the staff here. They are friendly and don't push you into anything. One of my favorite things about this experience is that I went into a high end place like Prada, and I am treated wonderfully. I go into some of the not so high end stores, and they act like they are doing me a favor. After it was all said and done, I walked out with my second Prada bag, and love it. The only reason I am not giving Prada 4 or 5 stars is because the sales rep said he would "be right back to me" when another customer walked in. Rule number one - never dismiss your current customer - you could lose them for that day, or for life. Other than that - it was fantastic. However, Tanya changed my perspective and provided wonderful service. For a few months I've been searching for a bag that is classic with clean lines and has a nice structure. I ended up falling in love with the Prada double zip saffiano bag style #bn2274 in black. Two weeks ago I called the Prada store to see if they had that particular bag in stock. Tanya answered the phone and told me they did, and asked if I would like to put it on hold, and I said yes. When I arrived at the store, Tanya greeted me with the most friendly smile and directed me to one of the counters. She showed me the floor model so I can examine the bag and see if I still want that particular style. Then she brought out that same bag but brand new in the box so I could also examine it before purchasing it. Tanya also offered me something to drink while I wait for her to wrap my bag. In the end I was happy with the whole buying process and having Tanya as my sales person :) (note: Prada will occasionally have a price increase on their handbags like all the other designers. As an experienced luxury handbag owner I am utterly disgusted with Prada. On the hunt for a summer bag I settled on Prada for the newest edition to my collection. I went to the store and picked the Saffiano double zip in Cameo. I noticed the floor bag had a long string hanging from it and asked for a new one. A truly new one came out I inspected it and the bottom lining was completely unstitched, revealing the base of the bag. The sales person said she would get another new one from the back. She came out with one that was in a dust bag but obviously not new. She took it out of the bag and low and behold it was the same bag with the string from the store display. REALLY? $2,000 for a bag and $800 for the wallet and I'm lied to? I walked out. My husband knew I wanted the bag and had actually already bought it for me and I found out when I got home and told him about my experience. I inspected that bag and it also had an error. A small critical stitch that kept the shoulder strap stable and the lining from pulling up when you wear it. Still I loved the bag and color so with hope in my heart back to the SD store intending to hopefully exchange it for a bag without an errors. The manager was completely rude and noticeably upset didn't even acknowledge I wanted to exchange didn't say 5 words to us and started to return the bag. Totally thrown I just did the return and left but I was so upset. So I called the next closest store in Costa Mesa and asked if they had any new ones and I'd go get it. Then again my poor husband went to the SD store without me wanting to get me this bag and he asked for a new bag. The ones they showed him were also damaged a rip in the rim of one and scratches on the foot hardware of the other. The sales person told him the bags are in bins and scratches are normal and because we complained to the Costa Mesa store we would have to get the bag final sale as is. LOL. When he told me I called corporate and made a complaint. Today I went to the Costa Mesa store to hunt out this bag I had fallen in love with. And again. Not one two but three different bags with errors!!! One with that same damn stitch missing. One with a cracked rim from bad stitching and another with strings. All on "new bags". In my hunt and fury at Prada I went to almost every other lux bag store in SD and CM. Prada was the worst service and construction across the board. I never found one string scratch or rude person in this process. I've never seen errors like these in any of my many LV,Gucci, Fendi, Burberry, Chanel and other bags. If I could give This a zero I would. I will say I've never tried so hard to give my money away. I am only one patron with a small voice. But with Prada service and construction I believe they can lose customers all on their own. read more

I went in to purchase a black handbag. I was greeted nicely by the sales associates. However, they were short staffed. An older lady with dark hair named Mary was attempting to help me. It appeared that this was her first job in a high end place. She knew nothing about the bag or prada for that matter. She disappeared in the back trying to get more info. I waited for 10 minutes and she brought out a taller darker man with glasses to help me. He was very helpful and sincere. However, Mary looked annoyed and said she was the manager. I was completely shocked. I was disappointed that the manager does not know anything about her job or the product. I am disappointed with this being the first prada store here. Bought a pair of sunglasses as a present for my wife, They gave me the glasses straight from the display shelf, they stuffed it in the case without cleaning them or anything. At that time I didn't make it a big deal for not that much of an expensive glasses ($360). My wife didn't like the fit so she went back to the store 2 days later to exchange them with another model. Note that the receipt indicates that return (store credit only) /exchange period is 14 days from the purchase date which is kind of odd per se. Anyway last time that I checked 14 is greater then 2 so I assumed that there wouldn't not be any issue with the exchange considering also that she just tried to wear them once and then place them back for good in their case. Hard to believe but the clerk was not happy at all about the return and she didn't do anything to hide it, she told my wife that the glasses were dirty (remember the display shelf....it was dust from the Prada store not my house) and that they looked used! After some discussion they allowed the exchange (she found a pair that she likes) and they told my wife with a quite rude attitude that they would have made an exception this time only.
