Loaded Lamb Fries with Feta + Hot Sauce
    Graham R.

We had the food truck come to our neighborhood tonight and I can 100% confirm that Wally Gyros are the best in the area. They are equivalent to the best street food I've had in NYC and London. It's the type of food that you probably shouldn't eat all jn one sitting but that you definitely will. I had the loaded lamb fries with hot sauce, which was reminiscent of multiple memorable late nights in London. The owner was extremely kind and the food was super fast and affordable. Will be stopping by anytime I see the truck!

This food truck came to MUSC today and I really enjoyed it. I had the salad with lamb. There are lots of different things to pick and choose to put on the salad and I essentially had everything just to see how that would turn out. I'm glad I did! I was hungry and this salad hit the spot. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and delicious. If I wanted a lighter salad, I might in the future hold the cheese and have the sauce on the side- maybe ask for extra lettuce too. If you ever get concerned about asking for a something salad and you get a bowl of lettuce with a tiny bit of something, this is not how Wally plays- thus maybe ask for extra lettuce! I will definitely choose this food truck when they are back at MUSC.

definitely not worth the pricing, 4/10 on my scale. The halal spot on king street is better

Wally's been branching out beyond the reach of the gentleman's clubs. He's expanded his business and he's now setting up shop all over town. The other night he set up in my apartment complex for food truck Tuesday so I knew I was eating good for dinner. Considering it was the first time the complex had a food truck come in, he seemed to stay pretty busy. He kept the line moving quick while slinging food all by himself. This was my second time trying the loaded fries. Damn they're good but if you're getting a sandwich or something, you might want to share fries because it's a lot. I did the mixed grill (chicken and lamb) on the fries and did just lamb for the gyro. There's plenty of toppings but I usually go with lettuce, tomato, tzatziki, hot sauce, and this time I added banana peppers. It was a perfect combo. I'll definitely be ordering that again.

Wally's Gyros food truck offers delicious Mediterranean food, which we enjoyed at a local brewery one Saturday night. The menu is plentiful with pita sandwiches, rice plates or many different sides. We had the lamb gyro and loved it. It was a large cooked pita bread filled with tender lamb, fresh tomatoes & lettuce, and a tzatziki sauce. Wally was working this night, he was so friendly and fast serving up our gyros. We loved the delicious gyros, and look forward to trying other menu items next time.

I came here with a group of friends when we were on a lunch break working on the island. I had a Greek veggie wrap, which was pretty small. It had hummus, veggies, and tzatziki in it, but the ingredients were mixed together into a tzatziki-based "salad" rather than whole in the wrap like I thought they might be. It is also a wrap, not a pita. I love pita, but it is neat that they serve wraps too, since most places don't. Others in my friend group ordered rice bowls, which was a really large portion for your money, and one friend's gyro looked solid. One of my friends is gluten free, and if you are, you'll find lots of options here. The same goes if you're vegetarian. Everyone was able to find something here with no arguments, which is always nice with a group. The prices seem a little expensive for what you get; at least I thought so with my wrap. Rice bowls seem like a better portion for the money. I would come back again with friends, but I would try something else next time.

They were very helpful with my questions concerning my gluten allergy. They were able to confirm what was gluten free but it is also clearly marked on the menu. The food was fresh and amazing. The hummus is homemade. I had chicken Lula and it was really well seasoned and some of the best I've ever tasted. The only downside was the price. It was quite pricy for a lunch but with that being said, I would still return for more of their food. I just wish I could have tried more of it.

The absolute best falafels I have ever had in my life! I love falafel and have have them frequently…read morein restaurants ranging from fine to casual dining. What really separates these falafels is the robust range of spices and complex flavor into the traditional falafel, texture and flavors. The falafel appetizer platter came with four pieces and they were basically gone as soon as they arrived to the table as our entire family ate immediately. Including our pickiest eating family member, who enjoyed theirs too! Exceptional! The halloumi is fantastic and cooked perfectly. It had a nice seasoning on top of it which differentiated it from others I have had before. Everyone at our table enjoyed it. It came with four pieces. The grape leaves were a delight. They had a more robust complex flavor palette than Greek style grape leaves. They were served warm, however they were not dried out like sometimes grape leaves are when they're brought to a table warm. These were beautifully seasoned and had nice moisture to them. The size of each was about that of a ring finger. I can not remember hot many pieces were on the plate but it was more than 4. We ordered the chefs hummus with the pine nuts and pomegranate seeds. It was delicious and a great texture. Pretty much par for the course. My entrée was the Mujadra lentil and rice dish. The flavors were absolutely phenomenal. At first, I was thinking about getting the lentil soup for lunch, but then decided to try under the vegetarian section of the menu the lentil plate. The lentils and rice were placed in a circle mold on the plate. With pretty pieces of salad coming out from four different places. There were pine nuts, chopped, and placed a top of the rice and lentils. Everyone at the table tried my dish and even though we all four have very different favorite flavors and foods everyone agreed it tasted phenomenal and was absolutely delicious. Another family member ordered the lentil soup. They really enjoyed that and they also took some rice off of their spouse's plate and put it in the lentil soup which was a nice pairing. Spouse had the beef kebab cooked, medium rare. The temperature on the kebab for cooking was absolutely perfect! The texture pinkness, and overall cooking was beautifully done to a true medium rare. He had french fries as his side those were just as perfectly cooked as everything else that came out of the kitchen of this restaurant. They were nice and crisp with a good flavor. Three of our four family members tried and agreed they were very nicely done fries crispy all around and not floppy soft. Another family member ordered the Shish Tawook. They were completely in love and smitten with the garlic sauce that came with it. It is divine and tastes beautiful on the chicken. Rice was beautifully cooked as well. The accompaniments of lettuce, pita and oil was delicious. Dessert was baklava. Like every other part of the meal, we had it had a really nice blend of spices and flavor to it. We got it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. All of the desserts on the menu are made in house. One of our family members doesn't tend to like homemade ice cream however she liked this ice cream because she thought the texture was really brilliant for it being made in house at a restaurant. The baklava comes with three pieces. I would love for them to open a restaurant near where we live. If we lived here we would come in 2-3 times a week. Near the end of our meal, we heard some of the restaurant team speaking with another table of regulars. We overheard that they were short staffed that day as someone had called in. We never absolutely would not have guessed that. They seamlessly checked on our table, brought everything out in a timely manner, and none of the plates were hot like they had been sitting at expo waiting to come out to the table for a while. It was wonderful hospitality, with great care and checking in. Our server was a sweet and attentive person. Simply removing plates as we finished and refilling drinks. No one at our table was in want or need of anything as he kept it all well filled. I think the biggest compliment I can give is one family member always has room for dessert. They loved their meal in the appetizer so much they could not have any dessert. Which coming from them a huge dessert person is quite the praise.
