I love Greek food but every restaurant I like closes down I tried pitashio baklava for the first time. It was awesome. It was the first baklava I ever liked. I tried original baklava and other restaurants and they were too hard and gooey They have lots of choices and you can pick each item through a deli glass. I hope everyone tries them out

Wow, bloody wow... Haven't been to this place in a while but had to leave a review. Super authentic Mediterranean food. So many side dishes and salads to choose from. Love their pitas & doners but best of all is the customer service. The people here are so friendly. 3 Thumbs Up & 5 Stars from the wife and I.

This was my first time at Ali Baba, and I will definitely be back soon! We ordered takeout and drove over to Pirate Park to enjoy the beautiful weather while eating. The cashier was friendly, asked all the right questions, and ensured we had everything we needed before we left. The dining are was large, quiet, and mostly empty- next time we'll plan on dining in. The counter case was full of all kinds of sides, and we wished we could try it all. Our food was wonderful. I got the chicken kebab with grilled vegetables and Moroccan couscous, and loved every bite - but especially that couscous! The serving size was impressive for the price. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

Ali Baba is gonna hit every single time. Went two days in a row last week because I immediately craved it after I had it. Great for takeout or dine in, portions will always be enough for 2 meals for me. Very reasonably priced and they have great staff, super friendly and helpful.

I want to like this convenient deli spot on island more than I do. I get Daniel Island rents are high but the prices here are hard to justify. The good- they offer a lot of healthy options especially for vegetarian or gluten free meals. Desserts are yummy. The gyro with tzatziki is consistently good. Service and portions are inconsistent. Chicken kebabs are often small and dry. I like the choose 4 salad option from the deli case but the price is too high at $15. Fries are a miss.

This is the lule kebab plate. Hummus, two skewers, tabule salad and pita bread.

Well, moved here from LA where there is a mid-eatern joint every other block to Charelston, where there is probably two, and this place by far surprised me. I ate this stuff all my life, so this place made my top ten.

Large variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food as well as well seasoned and tender meat. The chicken kabobs were so tender and flavorful. Large portions of food.

    Massive gyros!

Great food! To support my thoughts, my manager and CEO of my company said the food is very close to the food they had back "home". Best of all, the portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. I really like that the display case in the deli area is full of freshly made dishes and desserts. I used to work on Daniel Island and I've never been a fan of it, but I can't wait to go back to Ali Baba.

Delicious and well served!... great service, served in a timely matter, parking accessible and the ambiance was suited to the type of food they serve. Loved the music. Defenetly going back!

Sorta gross. Bland food. Devastatingly horrible reviews on twitter. The sides sit out all day. Hope something better moves in.

While we were out walking on King Street, a local recommended Stella's, and I'm so glad they did. We walked over from our Airbnb and immediately loved the space. The restaurant has two U-shaped bars in the center, which is my husband and my favorite place to sit when dining out. We went in with zero expectations and hadn't even looked at the menu beforehand, but everything ended up being incredible. The drinks were fantastic, and our bartender/server was so sweet. Even though we were one of the last couples seated that evening, we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy the meal at our own pace. We ordered the non-breaded calamari and a shrimp dish, and the calamari was honestly the best I've ever had. It was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and the artichokes that came with it were so delicious. Every bite made me happy. We finished with the tiramisu, which our bartender recommended, and it was absolutely outstanding--easily the best tiramisu I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about this meal and would come back in a heartbeat the next time I'm in Charleston.

We were surprised when we walked in and the bar was actually low, with low, spinny bar seats. But it actually was pretty unique and fun! Our server was excellent and gave us great recommendations. We started with the Stella's Kalamari that had sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and artichoke hearts. It was very flavorful and delicious. Something to keep in mind here is that the portions are pretty large. Perfect for splitting dishes and a lot of food for your buck. The stand out dish for me was the spanakopita. It's a flaky, crispy pastry with spinach and feta inside that you dip in tzatziki. What's not to love about all of that?? We splurged a bit on our entree and split the braised lamb shank. The lamb itself was pretty good, but what I enjoyed most was the pasta it comes with. I would maybe suggest trying a different entree. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good. For drinks I got the Cretan, which had cucumber infused gin, lime, rosemary and thyme. It was so refreshing and just what I wanted. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to others!

The only off point is where to order. Even though it is just across from the door, there is no large menu on the wall. They have a laminated menu on the counter, which worked. We went with a street gyro and falafel gyro for lunch. Both were generously filled, and I found the street gyro was really good. It was full of their shaved beef & lamb meat, tomatoes and tzatiki sauce. Delicious flavor. My husband also enjoyed his falafel gyro. Both orders came with chips, which made it just average. Then we chose the pasta salad as other side, and it was average at best too. But overall we enjoyed this as a lunch destination and will return to discover other great bites on their menu.

It's nothing like Manny's in the way the atmosphere is. However, the food is delicious and it's Greek! I got the chicken kabobs both times I came here. Such yummy Greek chicken on a stick. It comes with Greek potatoes and Greek salad (I think there are options for what type of potato and what type of salad you want). It comes with one pita chip on the side which is seriously insulting. It's a pita chip, not a piece of pita. If you're gonna give me chips, a singular one does not cut it. I did overhear someone say they wanted their pita soft tho, so maybe that's an option. They have baklava! & even better, they have baklava cheesecake! It's a piece of baklava on top of a piece of cheesecake. It's so good! You gotta try it! So the atmosphere - it's walk in, order at the counter, sit with your number at a table, then they bring you your food. You get your own drink at the soda fountain. So you don't have a server, but you don't really need one. There's also a patio outside for people to sit and eat too. There's a good bit of seating out there. Quite a few two people table inside too, with a few bigger tables as well. Overall, I really enjoyed both times coming here. I will definitely be back. I wish it was closer to home. That's my biggest complaint.
