There's nothing I can really rate besides the food because it's basically just a bagel place without any seatings. I had a Garlic Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese. At first I was excited because of how fat the bagel is. Surprisingly it doesn't make me feel that full because it's fluffy but light. The bread is good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They're very generous with the amount of cream cheese but I just don't like the flavouring of the scallion cream cheese. I think the bread needs more seasoning too. Will I come back here? Wallys is pretty good! They're very close in taste to Seaford Hot Bagels, which was our previous go to. A few notes here. -The later you go, the more busy it gets- most bagel places were used to are packed out at 5/6am. Which works for us! -They mostly make sandwiches here as opposed to a dozen bagels with a tub of cream cheese to take out. -The sandwiches are decent, but they fall a little flat when it comes to the amount that's on there. Sometimes the bacon on the BEC is quite chewy as well, even when asked for well done. - Be prepared to wait a long time during later hours (at least 45 min) due to the volume of sandwiches being made. We've made that mistake before, never again! -If you're there later than 930am, expect a massive line out the door read more

This place just loots you straight . I have been to this place last week on a Sunday , where I ordered half pound chicken salad (chicken felt like I am chewing on rubber ) and 2 bagels ( which are worse ) . They overcharged me for $5 . When I told them they overcharged , they said they can't refund but can give credit for next time . I absolutely hated all the food , I decided not to go but I have $5 credit which I don't want to waste and went again today to get a bagel with eggs on it . Which tasted ok . Also I got one more French toast bagel ( they toasted it and still felt so soggy and worse) . And the main surprising part is they charged me $3.50 for a bagel with cream cheese on side ( charge is same if they spread on bagel or give on side , employee told me ) . So , I asked what's the bagel price , she said $1.39 and the remaining $2 is for plain cream cheese . I have been to many bagel places but this is crazy . Who charges $2 for a spread , I did attach a photo of spread . This has the worst food and they always try to loot you . Not at all worth it for the money and even the food is so gross to spend any money on it . Never recommend to anyone , I would never go even if they are free . I went to Wally's bagels upon a recommendation from a close friend. I loved ordering on Saturday for Sunday. I went early Sunday morning at 6:30 to pick up my bagels. Super excited when I got them home they were cold and I don't mean warm after being cooled down from being made. Heard a lot about this place from people at work and decided to stop in as I have never been! I've been told they are famous....and I believe it! It's rather small inside which makes waiting in line cramped, but the employees do a wonderful job and making the line move. I stopped in around 1030 AM on a week day and they were crowded, but the line moved quick. So many different bagel and cream cheese options. I'm normally very basic when it comes to a bagel and spread option. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and ordered a pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cheesecake cream cheese. It was super delicious and although I got "double" pumpkin, I wasn't overwhelmed with pumpkin flavor. The bagel was fabulous and the pumpkin cheesecake cream cheese definitely was homemade. It cost $3.30, which is reasonable for a speciality and seasonal flavor. All employees were very nice and worked with a smile. Along with that the 3 bagels had enough cream cheese on them to give Lizzo a heart attack. I can understand saying you want a light amount of cream cheese to avoid this, but even so, this was obscene. I spent more time fixing the food than I did eating it. Get your act together Wally's. We were visiting family locally and my husband discovered Wally's bagels one morning. On our way to the airport, we stopped in against to get out last "fix" of deliciousness before heading back to California. We had 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches on a roll with salt pepper ketchup (a guaranteed must have when in NY), A toasted buttered egg bagel, 2 chocolate muffins, German coffee cake and regular coffee cake. I'm a veteran of the egg sandwich game. Being a lifelong New Yorker I have taken down many a collosal sandwiched between two pieces of bread. Wally's in my honest opinion takes the top prize. Atmosphere: Wally's is small and the line can seem intimidating but don't worry they keep people moving. Even when the line wraps around the store you are in and out of there in less than 15 minutes and I promise the items you receive are 100% worth the extra elbow rubbing and people watching. Food: New York is known for the BECSPK but my go to is the HECSPK. They are very generous with their portion sizes and will assemble you a behemoth of a sandwich. I order my eggs Over easy because I generally fight these battles from the safety of my living room (so the mess isn't an issue). No matter how you ask for your eggs cooked THEY GET THEM RIGHT. The bagels is you are looking for a grab and go are typical NY style but not as thick which is a good thing. It makes you feel not weighed down. (Pro tip: Get your egg sandwich on a toasted bagel. They lightly toast it and this adds structural integrity which can't be beaten). Value: My monster of a sandwich with a small OJ (or coffee/HC) comes to 5.40 which in my opinion is an AMAZING value. It's literally the perfect size in terms of filling me up but not making me feel bloated afterwards. Warning: This place is no nonsense! I've been going to Wally's bagels for a little over a year now. Located a short 5 minute walk from my apartment, Wally's is my "I really want breakfast" place. 80 percent of the time, the line snakes around the store or is out the door. It's intimidating, but the staff at Wally's is top-notch, and the line moves relatively fast. I usually get the same thing: sausage, egg and cheese on a buttered roll. I like my classics. I like that it comes with my choice of coffee, tea, or orange juice. When I don't get that, I get a cinnamon raisin bagel, toasted with cream cheese. Like most Long Island bagelries, Wally's smothers the bagel in cream cheese. There is often enough cream cheese to feed two bagels, and I end up wiping half of it off and throwing it out. They're very generous with their cream cheese. On my last few visits to Wally's, while the line was on one of its longer days, I started to actually look at some of their other options. Wally's has an impressive variety of bagels. They have the classics like plain, wheat, egg, sesame, onion, and poppy. I learned yesterday that the everything bagel was created by accident - previously, bagelries would do their toppings one by one and then throw out all the excess that had fallen on a countertop until one person decided to throw the mixture of extra on a plain bagel and VOILA! Magic. Especially if you're an everything-bagel fan. Wally's also has some unique bagels. Strawberry. Blueberry. Snozzberry. (sorry, I watched Willy Wonka yesterday). Rainbow (which looks like unicorn poop), chocolate chip, and French toast. I tried the French toast on my last trip there. It's an egg bagel with pockets of maple syrup baked in. They offer powdered sugar to top it off, but I declined, figuring a toasted French toast bagel with butter was all the unhealthy I could handle for the morning. The bagel was love at first bite. What's a bagel without cream cheese? Although I have never had anything but plain, I have seen several flavored cream cheeses. Veggie, strawberry, lox, pumpkin, and cream cheese with rainbow sprinkles are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. In addition to breakfast sandwiches and bagels, Wally's is also a full-service deli and offers a bunch of baked goods. I've always been tempted to try their black & white cookie. They've got apple crump cake and coffee cake and Saran-wrapped slices of lemon pound cake and red velvet cake. My only critique with Wally's is that there's no call-ahead or text-ahead option. I wouldn't mind if they charged a dollar for the service. It's not a star deduction; Wally's knows they're a North Babylon hit and has ample staff to deal with the morning rush. Basically, Wally's is the absolutely last place you want to go if you're trying to lose a few pounds. If you're on a cheat day, I say go say hi to Wally. read more
