I took my truck a week later to someone else and they let me see what my brakes looked like and come to find out Taylor Tires let me drive my truck without any brakes on the back and I had no brakes on passenger side. So the only brakes that I had was on drivers side and they were very very thin. How can you allow someone to drive off in their vehicle without any brakes. I could have been killed or injured. And I could have killed someone or injured someone if I had hit them. How can they sleep at night knowing that they did this. I don't price shop very much but I'm certain I could probably find somewhere cheaper, but I'm paying for convenience more than anything, they're not far from my house, so they are a no-brain choice. Having said that, I will never take my vehicle to them again. Every time I've patronized their business they present me with the little credit card terminal to pay for the service and it is on a screen asking how much of a tip I want to leave. The choices are 15%, 20%, 25%, Custom and none. I resent the pressure to give a tip for a service like this. (BTW, you don't get the pressure if you say you're going to pay cash.) It's not like I'm tipping a waitress at Cracker Barrel who works primarily for tips. I'm expected to leave a tip for a business who provided adequate service for their primary function? Never again.

Some time after, I noticed a small oil drip. At that point, it was never even fully determined whether it was something they did or simply a failed seal on our end -- and honestly, it was probably a part failure. What happened next is what truly sets this company apart. Michael, the owner, personally called me and handled the situation with professionalism and integrity. Because the line wasn't entirely clear on whether the issue was a failed part or something related to the service, he took ownership of making it right. His focus was on standing behind the work, doing right by the customer, and building a long-term relationship -- not pointing fingers. They went way above and beyond. Kia is notorious for requiring OEM parts (aftermarket just won't work properly), so they had to track down a specific part. Michael and his team called multiple Kia dealerships, pulled strings, and somehow managed to get the part the same day, even though we were originally told it could take several days. That alone was impressive. They repaired the vehicle immediately -- and the next morning, Michael and his father personally delivered the car to my house. His father has over 40 years of experience working on vehicles and plays an active role in overseeing the work, which really shows. The two of them together are an impressive team. In conversation, I mentioned to Michael that part of my work involves helping businesses think through customer experience, and we talked about what it looks like to truly take care of people. The hardest time to do that is when it costs the business owner money. This repair did cost him money -- and he still did the right thing without hesitation. I've already referred many people to Strickland Brothers in the past because of consistently good service -- but this experience was different. I can confidently say I will never get my oil changed anywhere else, and I will be using Strickland Brothers for any automotive service they offer. I'll continue referring people without hesitation. DO NOT TAKE ANY VEHICLE TO THIS COMPANY! Took our truck in to have a head gasket repaired. Took 4…read moremonths and 3 failed attempts but still they claimed it was done properly. Picked the truck up because the mechanic, Shane, said he did everything he could and it still wasn't running correctly and we Ended up paying $14,000 and we were left stranded because the truck broke down within 400 miles. Go figure! It blew a 4th set of head gaskets! They have said they will pay for repairs but it's been over a month since it broke down again, and they still haven't paid for their mistakes. Took it to a new shop and we were told the engine doesn't even have the right bolts in it. Clearly this shop knows they messed up big time but even tho they say they will back their warranty and pay for it to be fixed, it's all lies and they don't keep their word. BEWARE of this company. Nothing but lies and really bad work. This was a Welding truck and it's been 5 months of lost wages because of really bad work. I attached pictures of the motor when the truck was considered "done". Two were found at my families house in Ringgold and by the time I arrived at Ider, Alabama I had lost a third lug nut. I messaged them on facebook because they were closed and they were at first willing to make things right until they found out we were an hour away. I told them I was in Ider and they would send a technician and they said to send an address and we will come or we will be here at the shop at 6 am. They then responded asking what is make and model of the car. I then asked what time they were coming with no response. I asked if they were coming and again they did not respond. My husband and I called at 6 am when they said they would be open and he then proceeded to blame it on someone else and refused to make things right. He did not have the decency to inform us that it was too far or even offer to meet half way. He even stated that someone had to tamper with the lug nuts that there is no way I could have driven that far. He then proceeded to tell me to come to the shop and he will loosen my lug nuts and see how far we would make it down the interstate. He is right, only by the grace of God that me and my twin boys were able to drive as far without a life threatening catastrophe occurring! He was extremely rude, course and unwilling to even consider human error. My Husband drove in from South Carolina to help and my father had to run to toyota to buy special lug nuts. All for cheap tires and service that comes with a threat!
