Had a 12 o'clock appointment to mount and balance 4 tires. I called at 8 no answer. I called at 8:30 to get someone on the phone asking if I can drop off early so that I just drop off, and pickup when ready. They said yes. I show up at 10:30 and was greeted by no one. Theres a little kiosk to "check in" people as they come into the service center. I waited for about 5mins then walked inside as there wasn't a soul there and wasn't about to wait in the sun. The lady inside at the counter was helping a customer with some 12v batteries. I waited, and waited. All to be directed to the outside kiosk I was already at. And was told someone would be with me. There's 3-4 people waiting for their cars to be finished. My fiancée asked how long an oil change takes. And the answer she got was 4hours. 4 hours to drain, fill, replace an oil filter and perform a light visual inspection (if they even do that). That alone should stray you away. An oil change at a reputable dealer would take 1hr to 1-1/2hrs to do if you have an appointment. I waited outside for anyone, anyone to say "hi, hello, whats up?". No one did ever come. After 10mins. I stopped by today for an oil change and was told it be about an hr wait. I was checked in and a text was sent to me confirming my car being serviced. I wait around for over an hr and finally found someone to ask "how much longer ?" I was told my service was cancelled because they don't have my oil filter and I should have gotten a text. OMG - What a cluster f this place is. Avoid at all cost if possible. Totally disorganized and the clerks don't have a clue what they are doing and could not give a damn either. Ordered 4 tires and scheduled install for 8AM. I was there at 7:45 and waited 45 minutes while this woman (who mumbled everything that she said) tried to locate the tires. At one point she disappeared with my paperwork and was gone at least 15-20 minutes. I requested a second clerk page her and get my paperwork back so I could leave and get a refund. worst experience I've ever had at a tire shop I called confirm my online tire purchase and installation availability and both were confirmed positively when I got here tho it was a different story Im currently getting the runaround while everyone and no one checks to see where my order disappeared to. the lady at the blue desk disappear with the presumptive act that she was solving my problem. after 15 minutes of waiting in the sun I see another lady come to the stand so I ask her what's up and she directs me inside where the priorp woman is now at a cash register. she sees me and proceeds to tell me that her supervisor is looking for my order now. the order they confirmed was there both on the phone before I arrived and when I got here to the customer desk inside the auto center. reall shitty experience. wish I read the reviews before booking. the people are nice yes but 90% don't know what they are supposed be doing. Now they are telling me the order is cancelled and I have to pay the $600 bucks all over again before I even receive any refund or confirmation of cancellation. to repeat the words of past reviews AVAOID AT ALL COST. THIS IS PNE OF THOSE LAST RESORT OR IF YOUR LOOKING FOR CHEAP OPTIONS FOR TIRE INSTALL. Came in for 3 things and they gave me my car back with only 1 of them done. The guy who worked on my car was either named Mariano or Adan. I believe it was Mariano he looked average height, kinda out of shape, dark short hair. Lied to my face when I asked if he completed the other two tasks and said "It oNlY sAiD OnE tHinG oN thE PapeR wOrk, sO.." I literally seen the service writer add all 3 items to the list to be completed. And it still took over 2 hours just for them to do one thing. I came in for a new battery. Employees were friendly and polite. Texting system worked to let me know when my car was done.

I called and verified they had four Goodyear tires for my car. I made an appointment for early the next day. When I arrived for my appointment I had to stand outside their shop for ten minutes before anyone came to check my car in. 15 minutes later I was advised they only had 2 of the tires I needed. We agreed they would install the two tires and I would return in 2 days and they would have the other two tires installed. As agreed I came back and was told they only had one of the tires I needed and it would be another week before they would get any more tires in with no guarantee the ones that fit my car would be included. No one apologized nor seemed to care. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge of what happens in this shop. Terrible customer service!! I will never go back! read more

Walmart auto Center located in La Quinta, California has horrific customer service. Slow service mechanics are wondering around and look disoriented in their own shop. Other customers and I spent closed to three hours waiting in the store without seats and with masks on. Management seems disconnected and not concerned about customer's complaints. In my opinion there's not a better place in the Valley for Service + Value than Walmart for getting your oil changed...Yes - they get super busy especially during the "Snow Bird Season" so best to get there at / before 7AM. As mentioned in a couple previous posts = "Rafael T" is an absolute sweetheart who provides great customer service & communication... I buy 2 tires, the cashier on tire shop told me the wait is 2 to 3 hours,to get the tires on my Mercedes,I say ok, after 2:45 minutes in the waiting room, I noticed that the car get after me when out, and my car still outside, I go talk to tire guy, hey why my car still outside, he get a little mad, and he told we close at 6 so you can come back tomorrow at 7, I was like,What??? Walmart needs to update their auto center hours don't bother getting there at 7am because the technician CANNOT start his job on the cars without the other technician that comes at 8am, the sweet guy I believe Rafa is his name was out at 7am taking cars in while the "technician" Erik was waddling around enjoying his coffee,I asked him I was confused if they were open at 7 or 8 he then told me they open at 7am but he cannot start on the cars without the other technician at 8 so you're telling me you need 2 guys to do an oil change ? Took them 2 hours to change one tire as they apologized the whole time but did nothing to make up for it. This all came after I showed up at 3 to change my tire and they said they mis scheduled they couldn't do it then manager said he could get us in at 430 we left there at 630 I would take your tire somewhere else even if you pay 20$ more way worth it. Maybe Walmart should learn how to take care of there customers... read more

The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is that Rafael came back from lunch and saved my day from being a disaster. It was my first time using La Quinta Walmart for an oil change. I drove up to the garage and "Eric" waved me back and told me I had to leave that area and park my car on the side. The Palm Springs auto center has the cars lined up behind each other, like the Costco Gas station. So I parked on the side and I told Eric I needed a synthetic oil change and he said it would take 2 hours. He went back into the garage with another guy, the only two workers there. I left my key on the floor and went shopping and got some lunch. I returned in an hour and a half to find my car still sitting on the side and another man at work in the front, Rafael. I asked why my car was still outside and he asked for my check stub. I explained what happened when I arrived and that I was given no check stub. He immediately apologized and started writing me up on his remote, printed out a stub and told me he would have my car up on the rack in a few minutes. I asked him for the names of the men who were there before him, but he referred me to the customer waiting room and said there were employee pictures in there. I identified Eric and I watched the younger man who was changing my oil. He checked all the fluids as well, vacuumed both sides of my car and had it ready to go when I had paid inside. The price was right and I got excellent service but it was all due to Rafael. I respect him for not naming his fellow workers, that he just did his job and respected me a customer. He should get a raise and a Walmart needs a to establish a new, much higher standard for Auto Center employees. read more
