Andres Service Advisor Just had the opportunity to use Ramona Tire. I called in looking for an oil change and to rotate my tires. I spoke with the service advisor by the name of Andres. When you can get a full synthetic oil change for less than $50.00 call me going there! Upon my arrival is when I was able to speak with Andres. He went through a walk thru with me and while the tires has a view of actually needing replacement. Now mind you we were awaiting the painful moment of new tires from Costco that were going to be $900.00. Well, ended up costing me $550.00 for new Tires, Balance, stems, and an oil change. It would have been a little more however was given a Military discount. The shop area is clean, and all employed that were working on the vehicle were polite and respectful when conversing. Nobody that I know likes spending money on vehicle maintenance. However for excellent service without feeling like your dealing with folks that do everything to rack up the price, These folks figured it out. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and was told my shocks were leaking and needed to be replaced for over $600. I immediately had a bad feeling. The car is primarily driven on the freeway and has relatively low mileage, so it did not make sense to me that the shocks would suddenly have the kind of damage they described. Because the vehicle is still under warranty, I took it to the dealership for inspection before approving any work. After a full evaluation, they confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with the shocks and no leak present. I'm glad I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion before spending money on a repair that, according to the dealership, was not needed. Buyer Beware! read more

I brought my 2021 auto in after the engine light came on. After diagnosing the problem, Mike, the service adviser told me that it was a dealer issue and recommended I go to Nissan. He did not charge me anything for this computer diagnosis. Thanks to Mike and his technician for helping me at no charge. Absolutely the worst Ramona in the whole Coachella Valley. The manager is an absolute child. Don't waste your time coming here. I was waiting over 2 hours I was quoted 1 hour and a half max dropped off my truck at 11:10 and at 2 PM. It hasn't even been touched. They kept putting me on hold and refusing to answer any questions until I showed up and had to take my truck back these guys are absolute children. Don't waste your time, especially when the manager shows up every morning doing burning out through the parking lot with his white Dooley truck. read more

They use to be punctual, now it seems they over book even if you have made an appointment. You wait over an hour and still see your car parked were you parked it. Also they use to have bottled water now it's two dirty water fountains what looks like someone washed there muddy hand in and it's not even cold it's warm. That's enough bashing for now. We had a very disappointing experience with this repair shop. My husband took his car in for repairs, and instead of contacting his warranty company for approval -- which should have been the first step -- they went ahead with the work without getting authorization. When he went to pick up the car, they tried to charge him the full amount even though the repairs should have been covered under warranty. It turns out they never contacted the warranty company during the several days the car was in their shop. Now my husband has no car while they're scrambling last minute to get approval. To make matters worse, Andy at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive. He kept cutting me off while I was just trying to get an update about the situation. This issue should have been handled promptly and professionally, but instead, we were treated as though getting our car back wasn't a priority. We will never return to this shop and do not recommend it to anyone based on our experience. read more

1-Star Review -- Extremely Unsafe Service I had a terrible and dangerous experience at Ramona's Tire Shop in Indio. I bought four tires from them, and within only 3-4 weeks one tire was completely flat, and another supposedly had a nail. When I purchased the tires, they didn't have the tire sensors in stock and told me they would order them and call me. They never did. On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, I took my car back for a tire repair and for the installation of the sensors. I left my car with them all day. At around 4:30 p.m., I picked it up and drove off--only to discover that the right front tire had ALL the lug nuts loose, and the front left tire had two loose. I had to pull over immediately and call for help because the shop was already closed. This was extremely dangerous and could have caused a major accident, especially if I had entered the freeway. The next day, I spoke to the employees about the potential damage this could have caused to my car. They refused to pay for a professional inspection and insisted they had to "inspect it themselves." Their lack of responsibility, communication, and basic safety procedures is unacceptable. This experience put my safety at risk, and I absolutely do not recommend this shop to anyone. Amazing service! We were driving through town after experiencing some weird car battery issues and wanted to check and make sure everything was okay before continuing our road-trip. We arrived at Ramona Tire since it was close to the freeway and hoped that they would be able to check out our vehicle the same day. The gentlemen working the front desk promptly greeted us and asked about our issue. He said to give him just a few minutes as he already had an idea as to what was wrong. He promptly went out to our vehicle to check it out. True to his word, he returned just a few minutes later to inform us our battery tested fine and that it was a simple issue with the terminal connection. We were just glad that it wasn't more serious! Overall, it was just a really great experience and put our minds at ease as we hit the road again. This morning. I arrived at Ramona Tires wanting an oil change at 7:40am. All bay doors were up and no cars were on any lifts. I approached the counter and requested an oil change, as the rep went to get the mileage, I could hear the employees laughing and talking in the back. I figure ok, when the rep came back I asked if they could be done by 9am (my daughter had a dental appt.) the rep stated that 2 cars were ahead of me and each car would take 45-60 minutes each, so my wait would be 3 hours!!! How is this possible or right? Instead of talking and laughing they could've been working, however I guess only 1 employee performs oil changes or is qualified. I then said "no thanks" and took my car to QuickLane I'm Avenue 40, I was in and out in 30 minutes. For now on I will be taking my household cars to QuickLane in which they were fast and friendly. read more

I am shocked that there are so many good reviews! My 18-year-old daughter took her car down to get an alignment and an oil change. They informed her that it needed a new belt all the hoses replaced Because they were cracked and about to break and a new control arm for the front end. My wife informed them just to replace the belt we would consider the rest of the work. Six hours later when we pick up the car to bring it home atake a look at it and there's not a crack in a single hose they said the serpentine belt was just dirty and the control arm they were talking about had been replaced two months ago. A complete and total Snow job to try to get me to do work not necessary. I guess they figured they had an 18-year-old sucker. I have bought tires from this company and I have had them work on several of our cars in the past with no problems but I've absolutely and totally lost faith and confidence at this point they just lost a neighborhood customer! So after they contacted me and said they were sorry for my experience in they would contact me to see how they can make it right I still have not heard from anybody absolute Lee the worst customer service you can find! I had driven to Indio from British Columbia, Canada. A few hours before arriving in Indio, I was on a road that had many potholes. I tried to avoid them, but I did hit a couple. When I checked my tires, two of them seemed to have lost air pressure. I asked a gas station attendant where I could find a tire shop and he recommended Ramona Tire. When I arrived at Ramona's Tire Shop on 42150 Jackson Street, they were very busy. Every bay had a vehicle being serviced. I went into the office and met a very friendly attendant. I explained why I was there and he let me know that there would be at least a two our wait if the tire(s) needed to be repaired. He then found someone to check the two tires of concern. one was fine, the other was not. I let him know I was willing to purchase a new tire it there was a need. He said my tires were all in good condition and they would be able to repair the one that had a leak. I left my car there knowing I would be contacted when it was ready. When I got the call and returned to pick up the tire I had no idea how expensive it would be. I walked into the office and took out my wallet. The very friendly attendant looked at the paper work and said, " Your tire is repaired and you are good to go, "no charge." I must say I was surprised to say the least. I was prepared to pay whatever I was charged. I was certainly not expecting to pay nothing. It was like being given a surprise gift. What a nice thing to do for a tourist who is a complete stranger. I come to this store every 2-3 weeks to get air on my tires. The Managers and the Tire Techs are very helpful, friendly and respectful. I have gone to similar tire places and they are not helpful or they are too busy to help. I rely on Ramona Tire as I have no one to help me put air on my tires. If you need an alignment, sure, take your car here. Be sure to get the lifetime option. We found out after spending hundreds of dollars on other suspension issues that you take it here for alignment and that's it. After a couple trips and assurance that our problem was fixed, I almost died when the Death Wobble came back on our Jeep doing 70 in a middle lane on the way to LAX. The 35-40 mph drive the rest of the way and back was one of the scariest drives in my life. At least they apologized for the inconvenience of having to come back. For another repair. Which still didn't fix the problem. I couldn't even make it across the valley. They eventually told us they couldn't warranty the part they sold us and installed until we found someone to fix it. Luckily we did. He replaced it with the correct part, and haven't had a problem with it since. read more
