The other day, my tire warning light went on for my passenger rear tire. I drove in without an appointment. They had a few people ahead of me, but were able to take me. I had an estimate for a tire repair and hand went around the corner and grabbed a bite to eat while I waited when I came back my car was ready they had taken the tire off inspected it and it just needed air. They did not charge me for this service even though it took them time out of their day. I highly recommend these guys they're honest and reliable sometimes we don't always come across in the Coachella Valley these days thank you very much. read more

Very disappointed with this place. I called ahead and was specifically told to come in, so I took the time to drive over. When I arrived, they then told me they couldn't help me because they "didn't have time." If you're too busy to take customers, don't tell people to come in. I brought my Lexus GX 470 here because it had not started the day before. I had called AAA and they ran a diagnostic and said it was likely my starter, they jumped it and I got home. They advised that I bring it to Mountain View Tire in La Quinta because they're honest and do good work. I brought my car in the next day and they ran a full diagnostic that did not find any issues. They could have easily told me I needed a new starter and I would have paid for it... Honest guys truly! Went in for a simple oil change with no appointment, should take no more than 20 minutes. The bald guy told me they couldn't get me in until Tuesday, so I would have to wait 4 days for a something so simple it could be done by a teenager. Crazy thing is that I looked online afterwards and there were a ton of open slots as soon as an hour after I talked to him. The laziness and lack of respect for the business is disappointing. They Lied! I payed 128$ for a full synthetic oil change. When I payed I noticed they rotated the tires and tested the battery..... or so they said. Either way the boxes were checked off that they did it. I took my car to Sam's to get my tires balanced. Come to find out wheels are locked. So return to Mountain View and asked where my tire lock is. They don't have it. Manager tells me the guys said he didn't rotate my tires. You checked the boxes ? We argued for 10 minutes before I headed over to Volvo to buy a wheel lock. I'll never trust them with my family's safety ever!!! read more

Appointment at 2:30 for leaking tire. Was here 5 min early, was told 30-35 minutes. 75 minutes later, no one has said a word! I had already been turned down and received poor customer service consecutively from La Quinta Chevrolet Service Center,American tires, and Pep Boys. But Mountain View tire and auto service treated my problem not only like it was important but also like it was no big deal and just handled it. I made an online appointment, had it confirmed, then drove from Palm Springs to La to get an oil change. Most shops are closed on Sundays, so I made the drive. Walked in and was told they couldn't do it. Asked why they took the appointment and was told "I didn't know it was going to be busy." Bottom line, appointments clearly mean nothing here. no apology, no solutions offered except asking if I can reschedule a different day. I got stranded in the dessert, my car's alternator broke down, i was in the area for a conference and I had no way of getting back home without fixing my car. This shop not only fixed my car on short notice, they shuttled my family to and from the hotel to their shop and didn't price gauge me knowing i was in a pickle far away from home. Came in for an alignment after getting vehicle serviced. Decided to add in an oil change while I was waiting anyways. Time comes to pick up my car and they say they did the oil change but couldn't do the alignment as it had some other issues. Got vehicle serviced at another shop and was set for an alignment but weren't open on Sundays. Got called back over to go over the quote, arrived and waited an hour and a half . .While I was there they also charged someone for another individuals bill, and they had to spend 20 minutes trying to reverse the charges after the customer got the receipt. They said they would need another 5 minutes to get me a quote, waited over 45 minutes for the quote. Doesn't seem like this shop has a high level of attention like one would hope. Pop up msg on my '18 XT5 Cad dash said tire monitoring system was in-op. I called Mountain View and was told they had parts and to come in the following day. They changed all 4 parts and said the repair was complete but I would need to drive the car about 20 miles to allow the system to reboot. They also drove my car around and no re-boot. I trusted them and paid the $500. The computer did not reboot. Took it back the next morning and after they drove it around again I was told they could not fix the problem. I asked for a refund and they filled out paperwork. I was told I would get a refund in about 3-4 days. I took the car across the street to the dealer and they showed me Mountain View's mistake - the parts they put in were not all the same as required. I also told them I had not received my refund. I was told the original refund paper was done incorrectly so I filled out another one. After being a customer of MV for 4 years they just basically blew me off. Coincidentally, and I'm not saying they took it but when I returned home from MV the 2nd time, my $100 Target gift card, and $35 in a sealed envelope that was in my car was gone. read more

I went there with my daughter to get her tire looked at because it had a nail stuck to it. I was sent away because the "tire guy" called off. It's hard to believe that a shop this size only has one "tire guy" and no one else knows how to fix a flat tire. I had an appointment for an oil change and to put Free-on so my air conditioner would work. I sat there for 3.5 hours and my air conditioner still didn't work. They finally informed me that they had to order a part and to come back the next day at 8am When I arrived they told me they hadn't received the part yet. These guys are super easy to deal with and don't try to up-sell you on random crap and don't attempt to clean your windows leaving them streaky and horrible. Unprofessional and incompetent company. I took my Dodge Challenger in for a simple tire rotation and gave them the keys with the instructions not to adjust the seat. He promptly gave the keys to a sweaty old man who took it for a joy ride, brought it back, and then started working on another car. I immediately pulled my car out of their shop and discovered that he had moved my seat before he sped around the neighborhood. When confronted, the guy at the front counter said "maybe he didn't hear/understand me." When I asked the sweaty old man, he said "nobody told me not to move it." These guys are extremely untrustworthy and don't treat our valuable property with the utmost care and respect. I don't recommend this company to anyone. read more

Apparently Mountain View Tires is no longer affiliated with Goodyear. I brought my car in to get the brakes checked and there were no familiar faces. There was, however, a very new employee behind the desk. I have sympathy for the new person but you'd think they would have provided some sort of training and/or backup for him. Services was really bad and lack of experience/training ended up costing me. Late in the afternoon, after dropping off my car to get looked at, I received a call from Bo (I believe) the new guy. He said the brakes were fine but my back tires were shot. I went ahead and let them change them out but I made a huge mistake not asking for the cost up front. About a half hour before close I called to see if my car was ready. I guess it was just sitting there but no one bothered to tell me so I had to race down there before closing. It was well after 5:00pm by the time they got me out of there. The tires and alignment cost me nearly $500 which I never in a million years would have done had I known in advance. Also, when I asked about what percentage of brakes were left (perhaps not the correct terminology) I was told "I don't know". When I asked when I should bring the car back to get them changed, he said "6 months. Maybe a year". Good grief. This is what I brought the car in for. Be specific!! First off, BMWs are notoriously hard to diagnose , you have to pull them apart to find the trouble. With hat in mind, Trevor contacted me for approval BEFORE racking up a big bill, he analyzed the problem, communicated with me THREE times during the course of the day, got the part quickly and made the repair. Mountain View got the job done fast, and at a reasonable price...A job that would have been a fortune at the dealership. Then I was told one price on the phone down to the penny. They said tires were not available, I was given a much higher price and the services I was quoted were not all included. Very disappointed and frustrated after my experience. I first visited on Tuesday to get and estimate on pricing and duration of appointment, and then booked for 1pm today. I was told it would be $273.28 for the service and the appointment would take approx 1 hr 15 mins. I turned up today 15 mins early for the appointment and again was told that the service appointment would take about 1 hr 15 mins but that they estimated cost had now increased to more than $450 (because the previous quote did not include 2 extra air filters). I managed to negotiate that they would just do the regionally agreed work and I was informed that it would now only be $288.00 with tax and again my vehicle would be ready in 1 hr 15 mins. I returned at 2pm and was then kept waiting for almost 2 more hours with no clear communication or explanation. I will definitely find an alternative service provider in the future! read more
