I DO NOT recommend anyone use this Valvoline store because if they break something or you can drive your car anymore, they won't take any responsibility and will just push your car out of the shop and ignore you.

Well just a calm, relaxed Loki. Comfortable waiting room/lobby w four spaced out leather seats. There was a kuerig. Hometown is easy to find & get in to the lot. As w most places Hometown gave my truck a once over.....when my oil change was complete Ashley said there was about half brake pad use. Nothing to be concerned about, i have time, they'll check them again. That was it! Not even a guesstimate for what I'd be looking at! Thanks, no pressure and no hassle! Perhaps I'm used to super high prices in CA and lack of customer service on many occasions, though CA does have it's bright shining star establishments as well.. this place just stands out all around! Ten stars!! (if I could) So, I had an issue with control sway bars on our tiny airstream after severe weather coming through S. Dakota.. not vehicle related per se, but worth a try as our garage at home in CA has some guys with trailer experience always willing to help. Worth a shot after no luck with trailer/RV places.. Doug was so awesome just on the phone.. wasn't sure they could help but stop by for a free look over and if they could help they would.. had a couple guys experienced with trailers and thought they could help.. turns out, we did stop by on our way out of town as planned and they totally helped fix our issue with the sway bars - so much appreciation and all no charge. Because of the warm and welcomed interaction on the phone request for help with sway bars.. I knew this shop was top notch. Go figure the AC on our Expedition went out too and had to come in before that trailer appointment and got us on the road in about 45 min with cool AC for about $150.. I mean, seriously in CA I would have been charged $180 just to have it looked at be told "sorry" can't help, our will apply to a $500-800 charge.... Of course I fixed it.. and to be transparent it was the cost to look, troubleshoot, test systems and then add coolant.. We then came back for our scheduled day out look at the trailer and we're on the road. I will choose Hometown Autocare any day any time before ANYONE else!!.. I love these guys and Hometown Autocare, my AC is STILL STRONG and super COLD even over a month later! If we have any issues next summer we are straight back to you! Thank You!!! (02/16/23) (I had just bought this car on 02/13/23. One owner 30k mile car.) I had talked with Cole over the phone a couple times and was told $250.00 to tint my car. When I got there we looked at the different tints available and I picked out the ceramic tint at a slightly higher cost. I was told 400 for a ceramic tint on all windows but front windshield. Well almost 2 hours into tinting my car Cole came out and said it was going to be a extra 100 because the car had been tinted before. He went on about how dealers often remove tint before selling cars. (I have since contacted the dealer and have been told this car was never tinted and they never removed any.) So with my car help hostage and now he wont let me change back to the 250 tint I am stuck paying 500.00. Well when I got the car back I was now late for a appointment because it took another hour to get done. Shortly after I left I noticed some parts to my car in the back seat and upon looking closely at the tint there seemed to be many flaws. I then called Cole and asked about the parts not put back on and the flaws. He asked me to come right back so he could take care of the issues. When I got back he looked at the car and told me that it was to industry stranded and he would quickly put it back together and removed what he said was glue from one window. That night I took a very close look at my car. the way he gave it back was just unacceptable. It took me over 3 hours to clean all the streaks and foot prints out of my car. There are flaws with EVERY window. When trying to talk with Cole about this I had called them cuts in the tint. I guess there are called creases. (Don't get the wrong or he will threaten to sue you for slander) He did offer to redo only 2 windows saying once again that it's to industry standard. I have asked for a refund from him multiple times now and he just refuses. It is going to cost over 500 now to have this all removed and redone and another establishment. I will also be talking to the MN Attorney General about the good faith estimate and the 100 charge while my car was held hostage. I have filled a BBB complaint and will be fillings them everywhere I can and post this review every where I can. I will also update it.

I brought it back and they were more than happy to meet my needs and expectations. I'm considering going back for PPF. Good to know there's a shop up here in Elk River that specializes and understands car enthusiasts.
