It needed a new camshaft and rockers arms on one cylinder head. Runs great now. No fault codes. They refused to partially refund the repair they did nothing. Variable valve lift and variable valve timing (cam phaser) are completely unrelated mechanical systems. It never had a cam phase fault, but that's the part they replaced. They lost a customer for life.

After running their own check, they recommended a transmission flush which they were wanting to charge me roughly $1100 for. That price seemed extreme, so after calling Nissan to see how much this service runs (which is only about $450), I told Big-O not to do anything, that Nissan will do this for less than half the price. Upon picking up our truck, they still charged us $90 for doing absolutely nothing but running the diagnostic codes, which is exactly what I did and provided them the data for. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after poor customer service a couple months ago with a scheduled oil change, but this is much worse than just poor customer service. We feel ripped off and Big-O just lost two longtime customers.
