Unfortunately out of town only place open on a Sunday was a Walmart. I get them balance & rotated every 6 months. I use a different location based off my errands the day of the appointment. One locations says they won't replace the tires until they are 1. Another says they are a 2. Each location has some bs. Today Rose told me since i am 1 they won't be able to do any service since i was supposed to have them replaced at 2. The last location said they won't replace them at a 2. Each location has some bs built in to do absolutely nothing for you. zero customer service. Rose said the only person that override a decision is off until Saturday. Why would i waste my time to come back on a busy Saturday. They are set up to fail you as a customer. Don't fall into the trap & waste your money here! read more

Too many people don't understand the value Walmart offers. They are NOT a standard shop of auto mechanics. They are specialized in oil changes, tires, batteries, regular maintenance and minor repairs like lights . They are also considerably less expensive than other places for most related products and services. We've had very good service at this Shawnee location because we limit our expectations to their areas of specialty. read more

Walmart Auto Care Centers on 65st. I went to Walmart Auto Care Center on W 65th St, Shawnee to do a favor for my friend who is about to come back from oversea. His old car Mitsubishi Galant 2000 needed a new battery and two battery terminals replacement. I checked with a Walmart mechanic names Ron before if they could do both of request for me. There was a sign showed a battery terminal end replacement for $5 each on the wall. Look like everything would be fine, so I checked in. After I went shopping inside about 5-10 minutes. I got a call back from Ron that he could not install the battery for me because it had bad terminals and it needs to be replaced them before the battery installation. I asked if anything he can help because I knew the terminals were in the very bad shapes. One of them became loose and could came out anytime. He said he couldn't because his manager didn't approved. And he also told me right now my car couldn't start either. I asked the manager, I think his name is Jake, if he can do anything so I, at least, start my car and drive away from where it sat in front the garage door now. He sent a lady to recharge the old battery but because of the terminal got loose now. I didn't get the car started. The manager ended up by helping me pushing my car away from a garage entrance about 10-15 yards. I have never installed the battery terminal before but I went back inside Walmart and bought two terminal replacements. I made a quick learn to change one of them by myself (sorry! not from YouTube- Walmart Wi-Fi is bad) and I called my friend to help me jumpstart the car battery. It worked. I drove back to the highway and made a big gambling by driving to Walmart Auto Care Centers in Bonner Springs. I didn't tell them the problems I had with Shawnee location. I just told them I need new battery and a terminal replacement with the part I just purchased. I spent less than an hour here. I got the new battery with new terminals connected. I wonder why I didn't get the service at first place. I believe both location use the same policy. Have anyone have any bad experiences with Auto Care on 65 st. before ? I definitely would not recommend the 65th st. Shawnee location. Go to the Bonner Springs location instead. Fernando, the manager and his team would take care you with way better than Walmart on 65 st. for sure. read more

Today I have learned that I can't get services from any Walmart auto I have being profile they didn't have a reason when i went Shawnee 65th as per them they don't know. The manager at Walmart Frontage rd Overland Park have made that possible when I was there last month he hardly talked to me I took a flat tire for repair that i had bought there less than two months old I was not trying to buy misunderstanding what i wanted leads to being convince for new. when i asked for the tire first they brought a worn out tire and later with doubt i was given another after complaining what next you profile no service all those after dropping the tire waiting time given 3hrs. read more

I came here because I apparently drove over nails on my passenger side two days ago and the next morning my tire was completely flat. I used a little pump to get my tire to a drivable level and took this in. I told them I had a flat tire and suspected nails in my passenger side and to check all the other tires as well. Two hours later they tell me it's finished and they found two nails in the passenger front and rear tires and patched them up. Right after I went on a two hour drive for a trip and when I got into town my low tire pressure light was on again. My PR tire was down to 18 PSI (should be thirty) and my PF tire was lower 20s after they had filled all my tires to 30 three hours before. This morning my tires were once again flat and not drivable until I used my little pump. I went to another Walmart auto center in town explaining this morning and after two hours they said they couldn't find anything wrong and the cold weather must have caused the change in PSI (11 pounds??? Impossible) I have put air in my tires 5 times in the past 28 hours and called to make an appointment at this location for tomorrow half an hour before close only to discover the techs have left early for the day. Completely unacceptable and will never return here again. read more

I would give no stars if possible We took our car in to get an oil change because we thought it would be faster vs if we had done it since we had plans later that night We went in and did some shopping for about an hour while we were waiting and they still hadn't called us so we went back to see and they were all just standing around talking to each-other not doing anything and we continued to wait for another 45 minuets their excuse was that they were "training" someone even so it shouldn't take almost 2 HOURS to change oil read more

I have bought 5 sets of tires at this store in the past 3 years and they always screw something up. I tell them each time,as I did 2day,that I don't want weight on the outside of my wheels. I leave the shop 2 go shopping and when I get back and pay more than $500,I find weight all over the outside of my previously unscratched wheels. Now it takes them another hour to do the job the way I wanted it. What a bunch of goofballs they have working here ! Well not all of them.Just the greasyest ones. read more

I'm an early riser. I get to the Walmart Super Center on Shawnee Mission Parkway, in Shawnee Kansas, when the auto service center is supposed to open. I've done this several times. After a bit of a wait, an employee greets me at the counter and advises me that 'none of their techs are in yet'. When one does show up they advise me that 'their company policy requires a minimum of 2 techs in the service area for anyone to service vehicles'. I get there early in an attempt to beat the crowd and not have to be there for several hours, which is the norm, during later hours. Yet you save no time by getting there early because the employees are not there, as they are scheduled to be. It is frustrating. The alternate option is getting there at 4 in the afternoon and wait for 2 to 3 hours because they are so busy. Mechanically, their services are limited. Putting tires on, replacing batteries, changing oil or wiper blades etc... I give them 2 stars because they do tend to do a decent job, for what they do, and don't try to scam their customers. read more
