I have never felt so humiliated, embarrassed, and insignificant in my life!…read more Rice, because I refuse to call him a doctor, had no interest in helping at all. I went there Saturday in hopes of finding help for a migraine and neck pain from a car accident. I left completely in shambles and worst off than when I walked in. Rice insisted that because I already have a doctor that I should wait to go see her being that she's the one already treating me for the accident. My doctor is closed on the weekends. It's a Spine Physician. He literally walked in WITHOUT checking me, just leaned on the sink the whole time. I tell him how I'm in excruciating pain and first thing he does is asks me what I do for a living. Puzzling, but I told him I'm a truck driver. He then basically threatens my job and tells me that because of my injuries that if I take any pain medication I could be at risk of losing my D.O.T. Certification and if he were my doctor he wouldn't give it to me. (DRIVERS AVOID) After explaining to him that I haven't been given any pain medicine other than Tylenol and LidoPro(cream) for my neck in the last 2 months, and that my job is aware of my accident. He then suggested that if I'm in "so much pain" that I should go to the emergency room and that he won't be writing me any prescriptions for pain. Immediately after he says "I'm not saying you're fishing for drugs, but I'm not going to give them to you". Again, never asked for any pain medicine. At this point, I've done nothing to indicate that I wanted ANY pain medication. Only that I did not want to miss work to see a doctor, which is why I went on a Saturday, and that so far nothing has really been helping my migraine. He suggested seeing a Neurologist, which my lawyer and my doctor both have reached out with referrals to get me seen. You may or may not know that it takes awhile to see a Neurologist, so I explained that to him. However, he implies that it's MY fault that I haven't seen one yet and that I should be calling everyday to be seen. I always heard younger doctors were the worse but he really proved it that day. No compassion AT ALL! Stormed out of the room when I started expressing my displeasure with how he's treating me. If I knew the proper channels I would seriously take legal action against this place because he turned my physical pain, to mental and physical. I've been hurting since seeing him. Shame on you. I went to get treated not interrogated. Id rather suffer than to ever go here again. HE specifically needs reprimanding of some sort. Absolutely unacceptable..

I Will be finding another doctor, leaving CPC after 20 years! The doctors that I have seen for the last 6 years doesn't seem to want to take time to talk with your or care really about whats going on with your health anyways, they just open their computers type some answers in and leave the room.

I thought it was odd that when I arrived for my annual wellness check that I was asked to sign a form stating that if you and the doctor covered any topics outside of a wellness check that you would be billed for that. I signed it and didn't give it another thought as I no new issues to discuss. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill. I called the office and asked why I had been billed when my insurance covers annual physicals. I was told by the staff that the doctor had asked about things outside of the scope of an annual exam. I asked what and was told that it was related to my sleep apnea. I was astounded as I have had a CPAP for maybe 4 years and I have a pulmonologist and Dr. Hewitt asks every year if I am still wearing my CPAP. My response, yes. How the heck is that yearly simple question and one word answer the requirement for an additional office visit charge. I relayed that to the office and requested they talk to the doctor about this. Never received a call from the office; however, my access to the portal was deleted a few days later and in about a week or so I received a certified letter stating that Dr. Hewitt had dismissed me as a patient and I had a month to find another doctor. As a follow-up I called the office and told the staff about this and the person said that Dr. Hewitt had not put a reason for my dismissal in my chart. Just the facts. If you don't want to be dismissed maybe don't question a charge.

This is the WORST experience that I have ever had. I scheduled an appointment for 12/16. My check…read morein process was swift and smooth. I was scheduled for a routine check up as a new patient. knowing that routine check ups consist of various checks at different offices, I decided to call the day prior. The it took a few attempts but I finally got through and I was informed of the following " A routine is similar to a physical. You will get blood work on your sugar levels, cholesterol, etc." I inquired if I can add an STI test as well since they were testing blood. I was assured that it would not be an issue and I could get a referral for an allergist at my request. For this reason, I kept the appointment. The female representative that took my blood pleasure was great. However, when the doctor came in, I informed him that I would like for him to check a part of my body to analyze it. He refused and stated that he would send me to a gastroenterologist. I informed him that I was not in any pain but wanted him to simply take a look and he refused. I had previously been seen at urgent care for a different concern and that doctor analyzed the area. Dr.Gabriel Madu was short with me and proceeded to provide remedies for my concern without even identifying or analyzing the area to determine if his remedies were in fact on course with the area of concern. I decided to nod my head in compliance in order to not cause a disruption to my appointment. We move on to Dr.Madu checking my heart rate and inquire was their anything that he could address in the moment. I informed him that I was not sure what I am allergic to but it was something. He quickly stated that he would refer me. He did not ask how did I com to this conclusion , how many times or what was the reaction. I was taken aback by his dismissive tone and blatant refusal to even take a look at my areas of concern. The appoint too an uptick as we began to discuss where I was from and where I lived currently. After a few moments of patient - doctor discourse, he then left the room. The female representative came back in and gave me my discharge papers. I was confused because I was still waiting form my routine check in and my STI test based on my blood. The representative informed me that I would go to the lab to get my blood drawn for the STI , only. I quickly informed her that I was here for a routine with the STI as an addition since blood would be taken anyway. She informed me that based on what I was looking for, it would be in two appointments since I requested a blood STI. I further explained that I didnt need the STI but wantd to add it and if it would prevent my routine visit, we could could cancel it. She went to update the doctor and the doctor came back in and stated " What do you want completed?" I stated that I was there for a routine visit and I was not sure what that entailed but I know it consist of drawing blood an checking my sugar and cholesterol etc. He stated that he could do those. It sounded like he was focusing on the few that I stated and I asked what does a typical routine consist of.? He informed me that the term "routine is not accurate". I responded and stated "I am not a doctor and I do not know all the specifics to a routine visit" The doctor goes on to state that I could get the STI test and the few that I named only. Again, the doctor could not explain what a routine visit consisted of. At this point, I was shocked by the unprofessionalism and he abruptly left the room. The 2 representatives came back in and was not sure how to assist because I was then, in the process of packing my personal belongings. They attempted to assist but again, the could not because they did not want to answer for the doctor. They also explained that I was speaking to a call center and they provide inaccurate information as to what specific appointment descriptions are and they should have not informed me of what a routine appointment is. I explained that if I simply get lab work on the STI and the 2-3 tests that were mentioned that This appointment was similar to urgent care and what was the purpose of scheduling a routine visit if the doctor refuses to take a look at anything and perform the routine care? Dr. Madu was not concerned about my concerns and simply wanted to refer me to a specialist at every turn without even analyzing anything. It was hurtful to know that during COOVID 19, Dr.Madu did not take this seriously. I payed the copay prior to seeing the doctor so I left the office without receiving the service I came for nor were my concerns even looked at to provide insight or solace. He was the worst doctor I have ever encountered and I felt dismissed and simply NOT helped. What is unfortunate is that the representatives seemed to know that the doctor was difficult and attempted to assist me the best way they could. I do not recommend this office or doctor. He was unprofessional, rude and refused to help me in any way as a patient.

Once the request for charges goes through, they will proceed to collude with the insurance companies to inflate the costs above what is realistic and reasonable. I will never patronize them again.

A few more questions and tests before I had a chest xray, then back to the room . A very few minutes later , PA. T Munoz informed me of her diagnosis. She patiently answered all my questions and I was back home in just over an hour . It was the most efficient , as well as comforting experiences I've had in a medical office in years . I wish all medical appointments were the same . Your happy camper , Sincerely , Sharon Baxter
