Why is it that Walmart always has issues. Been trying to buy a tablet that they are promoting for $9, $13, and $19. I've asked numerous and they are not willing to price match what is in there own app and website. They say it's has to be sold and shipped by Walmart. I'm like then why are you guys promoting. Too many times have I walked in this Wal-Mart and have just walked right back out. Its so overwhelming...It's always packed. Many Wal-Marts are, but the lines are always soooo long. Not sure what they can do about it really. All registers are generally open and they have many self-checkout registers too. Every line is long. Just go somewhere else if you can. The worst WalMart ever. The first time we arrived, it was 8:01 pm to pick up merchandise, at the Pick Up Area. They told us there was no way to help us get our item and we would have to come back another day! One minute late! ...... Day two.....We waited ten minutes at the Pick Up Area and I had to call a Manager from my personal phone to get someone to work the area, that was allegedly open from 8am to 8pm. It was 8:53 am and no one in sight, except associates that just kept passing by. Finally we get service and they pulled the wrong merchandise! How does that happen with the technology WalMart has? What a horrible experience today at the Walmart on Broadway. My daughter, her 1 month old grandbaby and I where checking out and the cashier, Judy, threatened my daughter!!! Judy was checking out to my daughter and put bleach with food items, my daughter told her not to put the bleach with the food items. Judy told my daughter 'Why don't you help me then.' My daughter told her I am just saying you don't put bleach with the food. Judy the cashier said something like Then why don't you do it. My daughter said I don't work here. Words where exchanged by both. Judy announces she's a minor and threatened to have her mother kick my daughters a$$!!! We both were shocked! I said Did she threaten you? and my daughter said yes! As soon as we finished my daughter went to the manager and told him what happened. The gentlemen behind also went to the manager stating that Judy the cashier was having a bad day! The manager said she was a minor. Then on the way out Judy the cashier was mad dogging my daughter! So my daughter went back to the manager and he said he saw her, Judy, giving looks to my daughter. But she, Judy, continued with the dirty looks even after we headed for the door! Why is a moody minor who clearly can not handle the job hired to do an adult job? Paying customers should not have to put up with a teenagers tantrum or inability to do a job they are hired for. And because she is a minor she feels she can say and threaten as she pleases? Please teach your employees to not open up the dressing room when someones inside. I responded twice that I was in there but they still continued to open the door with another client there. Prior, I mentioned to the same worker who opened the door that I was going to use the dressing room. It's invasive and humiliating.. People shouldn't have to worry about getting walked in on at the dressing room.. read more

This is my very last resort if I need something and if I am in the neighborhood. I used to live around this area and when I did come here. It be at 8am when hardly no one is here. I avoid this place like a bad habit. Hell nah this place is packed everyday, people are rude and inconsiderate. It's a fear factor challenge in every isle. People leaving there carts in the middle of the isle. Bump into you and not even say excuse me. I get into my combat mode and play the no comprendo like everyone else do in that ghetto ass Walmart. Just like many others have experienced, this Walmart needs an uplift in staff training. What gets me the most here, is when the checkout lines are completely packed, and yet there are only 2 registers open. The rest of the staff is just hanging out talking about whatever drama is on their mind. If you don't believe me, come by here and you'll get the idea the first steps in. ALSO, plenty of times I've seen people just chillin' at their cars in the lot like it's a meetup spot (I won't speculate on what they're meeting up for, but I've seen it one too many times to think positive). - PACKED. ALWAYS. CONSTANTLY. EVERY single time I've come here, it is BEYOND packed. I want to believe that they are constantly over their max capacity. For real. - I've NEVER seen all ~17 registers open, no matter how long the lines are...and I've seen the lines go from one register all the way down an aisle. Like...how do you let this happen? - note: this one is out of Walmart's hand, BUT the customers here tend to be rude. They don't care about you: they have a mission and if you're in the way then you're getting taken out. Done. It's over. Get out of the way. Went to Walmart on Broadway in Chula Vista and noticed the way they have their products displayed in the same order as the other Walmarts. I was impressed, one can go to any Walmart and find your favorite items at the same location/aisles. Granted, they are not exactly the same place but they are in the same general area where your items are. Way to go to Walmart. The place is tidy and neat unlike other stores specially at the clothing area where clothing/shoe items are scattered on the floor. There are staff all over, friendly and some of them even asked me if I need help. On the cashier's counter, the lady there bagged your items in such a way that your items are not squashed by separating the soft items from the cans and bottles. I came in to grab two items that said online they had in stock, the app wouldn't let me add to cart. I called walmart and some lady said it was in stock. When I came to walmart saw the long line I wanted to try and order it online but couldn't do it I asked a guy outside and you could tell he didn't wanna help with the app cause he was to busy trying to talk to his buddy outside. I went inside spoke to a lady in electronics and she immediately was in such a hurry to just point in directions and say stuff like see not here we dont have, I then showed her on the app and told her the location she said oh idk buy it there... smh So I said calmly I'll try the front guest relations. I waited in line and another lady asked how can I help you, I showed her on my phone and immediately she said oh idk phone order. I said I'm trying to get these two items. The app is not working correctly, I called they said it was in stock and she said electronics should be helping you. I explained that the lady in the back didn't know what to do or even tried to help. I said forget walked away Tried to flag down 2 yellow vest employees and they walked off like if I had the Corona virus. This is possibly the WORSE Walmart I've ever step in. And its a big pile of shit filled with nuts!! I seriously thought it was a Big Lots disguising itself as a Walmart when I entered this... Place.... I think that every person in South Bay calls each other up and say, "Hey lets all go to Walmart on Broadway, call yo kids, call yo wives, uncles, aunts grandparents EVERYBODY and lets go!" There are lines on top of lines. That's the first thing you see walking in the building. Let me back up.. The first issue is PARKING, no scratch that, DRIVING INTO THE DAMN PLACE is the issue. Since someone thought it was a great idea to cut off the main road, you have to take a detour around the front. Its like a video game because you have to dodge idiot pedestrians who are not looking, baby strollers, stupid kids and teenagers. I'm pretty sure you get a coupon for every teenager you hit.. Meh, well anyway parking is a joke. Since I have a semi decent car, I have to park by the panda express because shopping carts, strollers and uninsured motorist like the idea of running into your "nice car". Now let me explain that Big Lots comment: This place looks like the day after Black Friday, EVERYDAY. The selves are empty and its dirty inside. items are thrown around as if 100 Tasmanian Devils went on a shopping spree. (just think of it as a big giant Forever 21 on black friday) Once you are done shopping, you have to play the waiting in line game. Actually is the "which crowd of people is going to what cashier" game. Because there isn't lines, its just crowds of people speaking loudly as if no one else can hear there conversation. Oh and don't forget the rude little mistakes, I mean kids that will run you over. So i hope you have the legs of LT from the San Diego Chargers to dodge these little bastards, if you don't just expect to be stepped on. And HAHAHAHA! if you think the little bastard will say, "excuse me" or "I'm sorry for being a undisciplined snot" because they will not... Omg so many fuckn ppl!! Not always stocked up. Have always came here while living in CV. But ive had my experiences. today tho was like woah. This is the type of thing i would actually take time to complain about(something i never do) So my husband and i are fans of self checkout due to the 40minute wait in the regular checkout lanes. Today the ringer.on the scanner goes off because i guess my stupid pack of wipies did not read the barcode right. Umm ok i.bag it as normally and a little asian lady comes and checks whats going on. She noticed they werent scanned right. This bitch grabs my bag takes out the wipies and scans it and said i have to pay for it i was like wtf i.didnt even.know it didn't scan. Anyways after that she was close around eyeing our every move. She made us feel very uncomfortable and discriminated. While on a recent trip to Mexico I stopped at the last Starbucks on the U.S. side which also happened to have a Wal-Mart in the same parking lot. I figured why not load up on things I might need while south of the border such as water and snacks. I arrived early mid-morning and found this Wal-Mart to empty, large & clean. As I walked in the door I was greeted by a greeter who asked if I had any questions. After being greeted I went to use the bathroom and found employee's not only mopping but cleaning sinks, toilets and a mirror which I thought was spot on. I walked around this Wal-Mart and found items that I assume are only sold at this location because of how close this store is to the International border. This Wal-Mart had several types of cereal, snacks, chips and even sodas that I have only observed in stores in Mexico but it is nice to know that I can now find them on the U.S. side. When it came time to checkout I utilized one of the self-checkout lanes and had no issues. Even as I was checking out one of the employee's from Wal-Mart approached me and asked if I needed assistance which I thought was nice. As I exited the store I was the on-duty Security Guard wished me a good day and I was on my way. As I walked into the parking lot I even observed a Wal-Mart employee from this store helping an elderly shopper load items into her vehicle. I have little to no experience shopping at Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart's that I have shopped at in the past have literally looked like a tornado had just run its course up and down every aisle but not this location. I make numerous trips to Mexico and will absolutely remember to stop by this location again if need be. read more

This Walmart is terrible when it comes to customer service! I just left the Walmart at 1150 Broadway in Chula Vista, CA and I am very disappointed in the type of customer service that I was given. I bought a small portable grill at this location and it was the last grill of this kind on the shelf. It had plastic tape on it as if someone had returned it. I assumed someone previously opened the box and maybe decided they didn't want it. I stood in line for more than 20 mins to purchase it. Once I got home, I realized that the box had lots of sand stuck to the tape. I opened it and saw more sand inside the box, long strands of hair and chips and food crumbs inside. The box smelled like charcoal smoke and the bolts/nails that come with the grill were rusty and carelessly thrown into the box. This grill had obvious signs of usage and was in less than new condition. I returned to Walmart and patiently stood for over 30 minutes in the return/exchange line. When it was my turn, I explained the situation and politely asked to see a manager so that I could show her the condition of the grill. The manager named Maria came up to me without introducing herself and gave me a blank look. I explained to her the situation and I also suggested that maybe the staff should be trained to look for bad returns or maybe an item should be labeled as used/discounted before putting it back on the shelf. Her exact dry and cold response was, "if it's taped and sealed then we assume it's new. Sign your name on the pin pad so I can give you your money back." Then she promptly walked away while the cashier refunded my money. There was apology or no sympathizing for my inconvenience. I was not rude or hostile and I was not looking for any handouts. It's not fair to sell a customer used items at full price and then that customer gets the cold shoulder when they've wasted their time returning the item and standing in long lines. I'm not usually the type to complain, but this experience really made me feel undervalued as a customer and I shouldn't have to be punished for accidentally purchasing a bad product. This Walmart staff needs a lot more training on customer relations and providing a better customer experience. I am disappointed and my family will be avoiding this Walmart at all costs. read more

My first Walmart Christmas tree... While it may be true that this is not the best Walmart in West Chula Vista, I had a very fast and pleasant experience purchasing my Chrismas tree a few days ago from Walmart's garden dept. Really, I never thought I would buy a "Walmart Christmas tree." I'm proud to say that this item was made in the good ol' US of A (in upstate Oregon). The parking situation is like driving through TJ during the lunch rush - you have to use extra caution, and watch out for the drivers sporting those BC license plates. When I say "watch out," I'm stating this from the perspective of a pedestrian, not a driver! "Joe" was helpful in getting me the assistance I needed. He had to find the 'tree lady' in charge of the tree lot. I basically picked out the tree in their lot and the lady ripped out the tag attached to my tree She handed me the purchase ticket, and directed me to go inside the garden department to pay for my purchase. Luckily, I had an easy checkout thanks to the woman in front of me that allowed me to go ahead of her. On another note and during my excitement, I almost lost my company issued cell phone in the tree lot of Walmart. I'm thankful that the tree lady was able to point that situation out to me. As she handed me my cell phone, I gave her a friendly hug and wished her a Merry Christmas. The End. read more

They were out of most everything that I needed, so I'll have to make a trip to another store to get what I need this week. Dear Walmart on Broadway; It's a shame that you don't provide your customers with wheelchairs. My disability is just temporary but man! I left your store physically exhausted! I never realized how rude people can be, even with a fully wrapped knee and crutches I was forced a few times to swing my crutch to those who almost made me fall. You see, I just had knee surgery last week and today was my first day out in public. I was scared but figured you'd have the means for me to shop in peace, but I was wrong. Yeah! It was my decision ultimately to continue shopping there but this post is for those who's disability isn't temporary, I can't imagine what it must be like to have to endure daily what I had to deal with today. It's a shame that in 2016, stores aren't better equipped to treat the same clients that make their business a possibility, with respect and consideration! Today, was challenging but eye opening too! I went in today looking for some meds and snacks. Some Walmart are filled with "Seen at Walmart" characters, but not this one. I have to dodge 45 year old ladies carrying doritos , peanuts, and box wine. I hope she's throwing a party, otherwise I'm free to hang. Can't go wrong with box wine and doritos on a Saturday night. I avoid Walmarts because of stores like these, but last weekend I was looking for a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe in pink for my niece and this was the only place I found online that had it. Since I didn't want to spend much time at Walmart, I ordered the Coupe online and picked it up using their Site-to-Store feature - I REGRET IT! I had to pick it up at the photo center, and although there was only three customers ahead of me I had to wait 20 minutes. The employee never called for help, which suggest she's used to a line of six, with a 20 minute wait. I can't even complain about the lack of employees and lack of help on the floor, or the crappy traffic from both Costco and Walmart, or how big and gross the store is, because it's MY fault! I went there and I got what I deserved. Cheap prices come at a high cost and I'm convinced to never shop at a Walmart ever again. read more
