Once again I have to share how Hiring kids/Young adults and allowing them work/interact with paying customers Is a big mistake. They're rude and have a very bad attitude. Twice now I have had Negative instances with them. Last time a young cashier threaten to have my daughter beat up by her mom because she did not want to help her and my daughter did not want her putting meat with other food items. Yesterday Leaving the store some young boy told me I did not pay for an item, Would not even go over the receipt and items in my cart to double check that he was wrong. Just kept telling me go back and pay go back and pay. Needless to say this was very embarrassing. I had to go all the way back to the cashier who showed me everything Thing was paid for I asked her to please circle and initial it, she circle but refuse to Initial. When I went to show the boy robocop my receipt of course he moved over to greeter and they put some older woman in his place. Who just said okay. No Apologies from this employee boy Robocop No owning up to his mistake. When will I learn the few dollars I save at this place isn't worth the humiliation and terrible treatment towards their customers. If they have to hire these immature children to do an adult job have them work in the back or stock, clean, anything but Interact with paying customers. Stopped by to buy some diapers for a baby shower I was headed to and this place was on the way. Took me 15 minutes to find parking. I've always loved this walmart because you find a lot of things other walmart's don't have, whenever I go I use the self check machines to get out fast because the lines specially in the weekends get brutal I'm giving it 3 stars because at night there's creepy people outside loitering or asking for $ the only times no one is there is when there's cop cars around so if you come to this walmart at night be prepared to encounter these shady people seems walmart doesn't care about this issue cause costco next door doesn't have this problem. read more

Convenient location, however this place is super crowded ALL the time. No matter how many cash registers are open, or what line you're in, you have to wait in line for AT LEAST 20 minutes to check out your items. This includes self check out and customer service. Since it's super crowded inside, you can only imagine how parking is. The parking spaces themselves are a good size, however most of the time you will have to park further away. The process of parking is not so easy either because everyone is walking to and from the store. There's plenty of handicap parking. I really dislike how crowded this place is but the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Most aisles are organized and the staff is quick to reorganize any mess that may have been left behind. There's a McDonald's in the WalMart, but I have not ordered from there so I cannot tell you what the service is like in there. read more

I bought an iPhone there for there Black Friday deal back in 2019. Long story short, they did not follow their own promo and I was even accused of lying by their supervisor of changing the story about the Black Friday deal. I basically had to pay an extra $100 and was given the run around for almost 5 months just so I can get a portion of what they owe me. Do not buy any iPhone or phone deals from this Walmart or else you will get ripped off. The customer service is terrible and I wouldn't be surprised if they delete this review so people won't see it. I know someone that was shopping and purposely parked his bike chained it up in front of security to come out and find that it was stolen. I was shopping there this week and still cant believe this store is limited on groceries. Eastlake store is the example to be like. I was disappointed in the store employees allowed two homeless people to panhandle inside the front of the store. Afraid for our health because they were very sick and had several health issues. If I can give this Target 0 stars I would. The customer service here is terrible. Waste a little more gas and go to the Walmart that's in the shopping center next to this one. I put an online order and when I got to the target they didn't have my full order and the manager said they were out of stock. It's ridiculous because it specially said on my email that there was two items in stock and I never received an email stating that the order was changed. Now they want me to pay the regular price when the sale ended yesterday. This is very unacceptable. Also, when I was at the store trying to explain to the manager an associate laughed at me and I thought that was also very rude of her. The manager was Tina. This walmart sucks EXCEPT their photo department when Rashed is working. I made the mistake of ordering a bunch of photo cds and I had to stand there for over two hours waiting for each disc to come out. Rashed offered to get a chair and was really friendly and an interesting character. He was sweet and a little weird, good weird though. I wish I could give him his own 5 star rating! As for the Wal-mart though. I'd give one star if possible. This place is an absolute disaster! What is Walmart paying the employees for? I mostly come here for fabric, and this is only because their fabric is far less expensive than fabric stores in San Diego. Let me tell you about what I go through for fabric here, though... Almost every time I am here, there is not one employee in nor around nor near the fabric department! I have to go and search for an employee only to be told that they will find someone to help me and for me to wait at the fabric table. Well, I dont even know why I bothered in the first place. Here's the trick, I have to CALL customer service WHILE I am waiting in the fabric department and ask to speak with the manager, once the manager gets on the phone I have to tell them that I am in the fabric department and to send an employee. After they hang up they quickly get on the intercom speaker and call for an employee to go to the fabric department (you can hear this, as can everyone else in the store). Awesome, right? It's still a huge inconvenience, however. If you're gonna save money, and I mean like more than 25 bucks then by all means go ahead and come here but if you're coming here to save a buck or two on that new CD or some shoes, go elsewear. This Walmart isn't worth it! Personally, I recommend the Saturn Blvd location, as I was there this past week. It's CLEAN, and the employees are actually around. read more

All the complaints of people about rowdy non English speaking crowd can be avoided if you come to this store first thing in the AM. I refuse to go to this store after 3 PM since it seems that entire Tijuana is shopping there, on the way back from work. However since there is a new Manager by the name of Carl, I've gotten the royal treatment (or at least the treatment you expect in La Jolla or Coronado at a 5 star hotel) Manager is friendly, remembers you and points out deals and policies of Walmart. Ripped my favorite Walmart shirt on a shopping cart and he had me pick out a comparable one without any hassles. True, it seems that if you shop on a Monday there are a lot of empty spaces on the shelf. Makes me wonder why they can'f forecast what folks will buy over the weekend. And yes English should be a requirement for ALL personnel that appears on the floor. Most annoying is when they pretend to understand you and point you in a completely wrong direction to get rid of you. But hey, anybody can spend more at Nordstroms, Dixiline Lumber or all other competitors that charge way more. After all you get the service you pay for. And the public in the vicinity. If you go to theWalmart on College Ave, everyone is 300+ lbs and evenghough they might speak English it is not correct and critical thinking is also an issue with the employees that get paid mininum wage. Hope this Walmart will come up with some kind of incentive to let customers keep their kids home after 6 PM when they are cranky and should have dinner and get ready to go to bed. I feel bad that this location gets such poor reviews. Let me give you the positives about this store: 1. Every wal-mart has different pricing because of it's demographics. Because of it's proximity to Mexico - the prices on items here are actually lower than most other walmarts! 2. Best vision center staff you will find - the Optical manager Julie is wonderful. She is patient, kind and an expert at fitting glasses. They offer eye exams as well and take nearly every insurance plan under the sun 3. Although it is often busy - between the hours of 8am - 11am the store is dead quiet. This is my favorite time to shop, so if you come by here during these hours you are likely to not have to wait at all. 4. Lastly, this store had a nice re-model a year or so ago, the bathrooms are nice and clean, and the outside looks better as well. 5. They added a fresh food section - it is only the basics but you can pick up most of the things you need here. 6. The mcDonalds inside offers free wi-fi! read more

I went there to purchase a certain quilt and they were out. So I went to look for something else and when i did, upon using self check out the item was not found in the system. I got the employee to assist and instead of trying to make a sale I was told the item could not be sold because nothing could be done until their inventory is done. If that's the case then why have it out for display??? Im sorry but an employee behaving like that badly reflects the store. As my laptop battery dies a slow death, I have only a few minutes so this will be short. This Wally-landia is always packed with rude, inconsiderate customers and employees. The self-checkout machines ALWAYS malfunction multiple times while you are trying to check out, delaying the process almost every two or three items you have to wait for an employee to come over and reset the machine. Don't plan on doing a big shopping here, the anti-homeless-shopping cart devices will immobilize your cart maybe 8 feet outside the door. So unless you're parked in the Fire Lane, you will have to drag your cart with frozen wheels across the parking lot. Very annoying. Another annoying feature, they have a very poor selection of button batteries and do not stock the most common button battery for watches, motherboards and such (#2032). If you need a battery, go to Target. read more

The only reason I rated this place one star is because zero is not an option. The service/ management of this store is horrible. I went in to use the Coinstar gift card exchange kiosk because I had no money to make it home, and there was one person in front of me saying he had been waiting almost half an hour already for the manager because the machine had froze. It wasn't incredibly busy so I wouldn't think just getting a manager to help would be a big deal. But we both kept waiting, the guy manning the door was helpful and went the manager multiple times. And it wasn't until almost half an hour after I'd been waiting that the manager finally came out (the man in front of me had been waiting over an hour at this point). She didn't seem apologetic whatsoever and had a very negative attitude and barely acknowledged I was even there except for telling me to move out of the way. It's not that I was expecting any store credit or anything for waiting so long, but at least a nicer attitude or a simple apology for the inconvenience would have been appreciated. Never coming back here again. UPDATE: the person was not able to even fix the kiosk, I don't blame them for the machine breaking. But at this point he had been waiting almost 2 hours (with his 3 kids) and I had been waiting over an hour and they just told us to go somewhere else. Still no apology, no acknowledgement of the time we just wasted for nothing. Learn some decent customer service. read more

I normally don't write bad reviews but the customer service at this Walmart was horrible in the scan and go area. It's so terrible that it should be addressed by manager. I went to the scan & go area to pay for my stuff. None of the areas where cashier scan your items were open. That is my preference. But I am okay with that. The scan and go lane I went to had a Lane closed sign on it but the light was on. I figured they just didn't take the sign off. It was able to start scanning. The lady in charge of the area was in the back socializing instead of walking around the area making sure everyone's OK. There is only 4 computers. It doesn't take 15 minutes to get to me. I did 20 items and she eventually came up to me and said that the lane was closed because there was no cash in it. I was planning on paying with cash. Now I have to pay with the card. I said that you should turn off the light. she said that she couldn't because it turns out the whole system. Understandable! She could've told me earlier though. Like after I got done with maybe five items instead of 20. What disturbs me is that she then complains about me to another customer. It's unprofessional, it's disrespectful and that's not good customer service. So the customer then continues to tell me that it was my fault. It was none of that customers business. It was the fault of that lady because she could've told me earlier instead of socializing. Or put a hand written sign that says credit cards only. I had to let her know that I wasn't dumb, I understood. The lady could've told me earlier. Then I couldn't proceed with paying because I needed the ladies code. So I waved her down and asked for help. She started coming to me and then detoured and helped another customer. Which is OK if she said hey can you hold on I'll be right there. It's called respect and communication apparently that doesn't happen at this Walmart. So if you like to be disrespected, not Acknowledged, and just be talked about, this is the Walmart for you. I recently went to this location (7/12/2016) and purchased a few items and was going to purchase some flour tortillas and I checked the expiration date and it was expired since March 30th 2016 Imagine if I never checked the date and my daughter ate one! Like other reviewers have mentioned, this walmart is always busy with very long lines and few sales associates who can really provide any assistance. The location is in a problem area with a costco next door which makes parking a problem at times. I've been to this walmart at various times of the day, which I noticed lines and crowds to be very minimal around 630 to 700 in the morning. You would think that going late at night to be easier but it's not, they close the self checkout kiosks around 10 pm, making you wait in line with everyone else. read more

Absolutely the WORST Walmart my husband and I have been to by far! It is chaotic and the people are rude and walk with no sense of direction. My husband who was on crutches could barely get the through the aisles from the mess and massive amounts of rude people. The selection of products were unorganized and lacked variety. We also bought a microwave from that location that broke down on us in less than a week. Never again! On the postitive side: the cashier we had was very nice though. Let me start off by saying the employees at this Walmart always seem to hate their job/life. I'm sorry it is not my fault that you are stuck working here. Anyway the worst experience out of all of them was a week ago. I went with my friend to finish buying my items for my bridesmaids presents and I purchased two 3 packs of Stella rose wine (they're really cute and small btw) anyway when I was at the register I was like hi all happy you know I always try to up their mood if I see someone having a bad day. Anyway the girl was like can I see your ID and I'm like "yeah of course"I mean that's the law right? I show her mine , then she proceeds to ask my friend for hers even though she's not buying which by the way she is 24 and my friend is like mine? Okay yeah sure . For all of you who are gonna say it is policy blah blah blah guess what it's not! I've searched through the web and I found out I'm not the only one who has been through this experience. Worst part is I could feel that the cashier got mad in the first place since me and my friend were giggling about the wedding and for some reason it put her off and I feel she asked my friend for the ID out of spite that we were happy and she was miserable dealing with all those people. read more
