I can honestly say that this Walmart has given me one of the worst shopping experiences. The issues that stuck the most out to me were: 1) slow check out, 2) disregard for the customer, and 3) a messy and disheveled store. This location is understandably very busy. What I don't understand is why there were barely enough cashiers during a peak work hour? I visited this location about 6pm on a Friday and there were tons of customers, but only 4 cashiers were open! In addition, some employees were extremely slow in ringing people out. The combination of these two factors was that it took forever to pay for everything. My next issue with this location occurred on my second visit. I did not purchase the right sized products and had to make an exchange. After waiting in the customer service section for what seemed to be an eternity (see above), I had to wait an additional amount of time because a manager had to figure out an employee's break schedule. Instead of doing the proper thing, allowing me to be the next customer of the second cashier in customer service, I had to wait for the manager and employee to figure out their schedule. It was completely inappropriate for me to wait until their conversation was over. Trying to find something in this Walmart is absolutely insane. The layout is very unclear, the shelves are messy, and the floor is littered with products and carts! It's extremely difficult to navigate a cart through the crammed aisles and it's a disaster! I'm tired of people going to Wal-mart and complain that it's ghetto. It's the same with someone going to fancy restaurant and complaining it's too expensive. It is what it is. I, however, have issues here regarding the service. So we bought a bunch of stuff and went to checkout like normal. But half the things didn't come up like it should. We got clothes from the bargain rack and they were labelled pretty clearly. The cashier rang it up using the barcode and the regular price came up. Looks to me the prices weren't updated in the system, and only the stick was put on. So then we had to tell her that she probably will need to manually type the numbers in. She looked lost, but then figured it out. Then after all that, we gave her a coupon and she looked at it and said it was expired. Hmmmm. Just got the couple in the mail two days before, I highly doubt that. I looked at the coupon and the expiration date was "12/31/2014". I'm no fancy-city date expert, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it's still valid (incident date: March 8th, 2014). She kept telling us the coupon expired on 2/31/2014. Again, I'm not date expert, but 2/31 doesn't exist. Therefore, the expiration date shouldn't be 2/31. My wife told her that "1" worn off since it was folded. there's a "1" in front of the "2", and that it's supposed to be 12/31/2014. What bothered me is that she won't even scan it in. I've scanned expired coupons before and it always tell me the coupon is not valid. She didn't even try! Now here's the awesome part. The manager came over. He said, "I will honor your coupon, but know this, your coupon expired and we're doing you a favor." Dude. Really? Doing me a favor? And he didn't scan it either! We explained about the 1, we explained 2/31 doesn't exist, and he was soooo confused. Then he said, "we can't just take the money off, we need to remove the item, and ring it in as a different price." Huh? I've worked retail before, and I've done coupons and price changes before. It's not that difficult. Anyway, back to my nightmare. He scanned the item in as new price, but never took the old item off. So the total is HIGHER after the coupon. We had to tell him he messed up. And he finally took the old item off. Yeah. We saved a $1 because the manager did us a favor and took our valid coupon. $1 might not seem much, but now I can go to the $1 store and get myself something nice. read more

I wasn't sure if I had made it to Wal-Mart or was waylaid into the RMV. You know that haggard, disinterested, slightly sallow look that occupies RMV workers' faces? (I'm looking at *you,* old lady who took my permit picture back in 1996 - the way you yelled at me still haunts my dreams.) Yeah, it's the same thing with the staff at Wal-Mart. And some of the customers, now that I think of it. I think I even noticed *my* shoulders drooping a little when I crossed the threshold. It just sort of...leeched the joy out of the air. There are no rainbows or unicorns or puppies at this Wal-Mart; I'll say that. I kind of didn't want to touch anything. It smelled like feet, too. And desperation. Walking through the enormous Valentine's Day candy aisle, I couldn't help but notice an open box of a Russel Stover variety pack on the shelf. Someone had eaten all the milk chocolate confections, and left the dark (smashed) chocolates in the box. On the other hand, maybe this was a misguided attempt at offering samples. Dunno. The oddest thing I noticed when I got home was the Goya goodie bag. For some reason, the cashier added two packets of strawberry Jell-o, two Ramen Cup-A-Noodles (chicken and shrimp!), and two packs of Goya chicken flavored rice to my bags. I mean, that's nice, but ... why? I was doing just fine with my Cool Ranch Doritos, colander and $5.00 copy of "When Harry Met Sally." (Yeah, sucker for 80's flicks. Carry on.) And honestly, the name Goya scares me. Always has. I don't know why. I think it makes me think of clowns. Unless Wal-Mart starts letting me renew my drivers license, I'll stick to the RMV for my occasional dose of foot odor and despair. read more

I usually know better than to go to Walmart, and now I know I should ALWAYS avoid the Framingham location. Not only does the atmosphere remind me of a remote farm town in the middle of Iowa or whatever, I am not sure the people they hire at this location are actually human or just outrageous caricatures of the worst customer service traits personified. A few weeks ago I was out shopping with a friend who needed to buy $300 worth of $50 gift cards for an office "Adopt a Family" event. You would think that ringing up these cards and providing a balance receipt for each one would fall well under the umbrella of "Daily Duties" for a cashier. NOT SO at Walmart! The cashier looked at my friend as if she had jumped up on the conveyor belt thingie and did a song and dance, then indicated that the request was FAR more complicated than she knew how to handle. I say "indicated" because I am not sure that she actually opened her mouth and used her words through the entire debacle. A "manager" came over. THIS woman was more condescending than anyone in a customer service position should ever be to customers, especially customers who are purchasing over $300 worth of merchandise. To her benefit, she was able to complete the transaction in about 15 minutes, while talking down to us the whole time about computer systemy things I do not care about. People have always made jokes about Walmart- but I have been a long time Walmartian. I used to live in CO springs and the walmart there was clean, well staffed, friendly, etc. Every time I go into the Walmart in Framingham, it is a disaster. It's messy, the lines are ridiculous and last night was the straw that broke this camel's back. We were looking for an item that we couldn't find so we finally decided to ask a store clerk. Of the three people I asked for help, I am 99.9% sure the first two did not speak English. if i could give this place a 0 star i fucking would i went there to send money through western union and the women who's supposed to do the transaction wasn't there no one is trained to do money transactions apperantly. i had to find an employee to get whoever runs the front to be able to do the transaction. mind you the line was growing and many people where waiting for more than an hour to get there for the transaction. just for the women to give everyone attitude and complain on how long the line was. I'm giving this two stars because I have never walked into Walmart and expected convenience. This Walmart actually is a perfect model for what should be expected from any Walmart. It's understaffed. The staff has little to know knowledge of the products. The store is filthy. The shelves are a mess and are guaranteed to be out of 50% of the items you came here for. The return process is a living nightmare often crating lines of up to 7 people. For more examples, just look at any other review. I'm sure everything I've listed is there. But yeah, it's cheap as dirt and has almost anything you need. We all hate this place yet will forever shop here on occasion and leave just as angry as we thought we'd be. read more

I really try to avoid Walmart at all costs. It is just bad in general but this one gives Walmart a particularly bad name. I agree with other yelpers that this store is very badly laid out. I have not had the issue they don't stock things but then again I am usually just in and out for one or two things. I want to buy what I need and run before the odor clings to me or crazy Walmart lady yells at me for no apparent reason. They have giant signs but the way the categorize things is bizare. Sure they have cheap stuff but this Walmart smells. I don't know why but it smells like feet. I don't know how anyone could keep down the Subway they buy here. I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible, and this is one of the reason I will not be going in the near future. I went there on Wed., to pick up pictures that I ordered from Snapfish since this location was close to where I work, and was told the pictures were not ready(even though the email said the night before the photo cards would be ready by 10:30; and it was 4 p.m.)! I was upset since I wasn't called and/or emailed about this. I walked around for a few, and then went to the bathroom where NOT one stall was clean!! I won't spare you the details, but it was nasty!! I went back to photo, and they said it was still not ready. I asked to speak with the manager, and an older gentleman(employee)said you won't get much help this time of year~good luck! I dropped what I was going to buy, and stormed out! So today at work, I called and no one answered the phone in the photo dept. Then 2 hours later, I called again, and this time the salesgirl told me that she was alone, and put me on hold twice! She eventually told me that the pictures were ready! I came in around 6:45, and I picked up the pictures! She explained that there was a problem with the printer which I knew about. This Wal-mart is special. I've been to many Wal-Marts in my time and I've rarely been greeted by a bearded lady. Yes, I said: Bearded. Lady. Besides the unusual appearance of its greeter, this Wal-Mart is relatively average compared to other Wal-Marts. It is not nearly as dirty as other reviewers make it out to be. Yes, the layout can be confusing but the signage helps. And, yes, they don't seem to replenish as fast as the Wal-Marts I've been to in California. However, like every Wal-Mart, they have just about everything. It's just a pain in the ass to find an employee that knows where everything is. Overall, this place definitely deserves a "3" for its unusually bearded employees, weird layout, and poor service that don't make up for its lack of replenishment. read more

Pretty good Walmart. I've came here a few times, usually I never experience the lines other have, yet maybe I come on off times? For the most part, everything's organized and actually there...IN STOCK! Lots of the staff are friendly as well. Kamlesh, Ellen and Deisy are all super friendly, helpful and kind. It´s always great when employees are around in every department and happy to help. Store is updated, and for the amount of space they have, they have the most they could. Barely any produce and no deli or seafood area, but the other departments have a full stock of almost everything. I guess there is more in some areas at supercenter locations. Yet, traffic and parking here is sort of a problem (-1 star). This section of Route 9 is packed solid with malls, plazas, and restaurants, and this place isn't a supercenter, and has about half the parking the Walpole location has. 4 stars for the Framingham Walmart. Photo Card Nightmare continues.... started at Walpole store and carries over to Framingham. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT order Photo cards from online walmart and expect them to be available for pick up at Framingham or Walpole Walmart. This is Part 2 - I am more than frustrated with Walmart online. it you go to my revieiw of Walpole. I was told by a call from a manger that they could not fufill my photo card order AFTER receiving an e-mail confirmation to expect them complete for Saturday morning 12/17/17. The manager than proceeded to tell me that I may have better outcome by canceling order online and sending them to a different Walmart. Part 2 of Holiday Photo Card Nightmare - I get another e-mail confirmation with an expected that evening pick up of 12/18. I go and they have nothing for me to pick up. Was told maybe tomorrow. I waiting it out 2 days. And a false miracle.... I get an actual e-mail and text telling me that my order is ready for pick up and come in before 8am. Whoo hoo... 74 hours later.... something in writing..... I go to Framingham location. Photo tech nice as can be despite the holiday crazies.... He states that I am about the 90th person that came in today expecting to pick up photo cards. The e-mails were sent in error and they don't expect any photo paper to arrive for the online order. SO 80 hours ellapse... I have nothing, no cards, 2 charges on my credit card that I need to call Walmart to cancel or ask for refund. Nothing that walmart can do can restore the 80 hours lost.... I stop in here once in awhile when I'm in the area for something else & happen to need cat litter, cleaning supplies, or health & beauty products (on a sidenote: Christmas Tree Shops now carry a huge h&b selection & it's much cheaper)...but I wouldn't shop here on a regular basis. The store layout is off-putting & it is nearly impossible to find anything (I have still yet to find hand soap or face wash so if you know where it is, post the aisle for me!)... I tell people all the time that I would rather pay $1.00 more for every item I buy at Target than to shop at this "Morrocan market of Misery". Please can we get some answers here. Why is the staff here running around like it's Lord of the Flies? Where is the management? These employees aren't just awful people, it's clearly a training issue because of how consistently it occurs. I mean people have their issues with Walmart, but typically the stores are relatively friendly and welcoming because the wages are good and they hire people who are very appreciative to have a job. Wow, so many negative reviews... Come on people, it's not that bad! Well, yes, some unfriendly staff, messy shelves, long lines at the registers... But when I need a new bike for my kids, or a fishing rod, or some school supplies, etc. - where else I will go? It's the cheapest store for many many things we need regularly or from time to time. And, to be honest, some special order items are pretty cheap and convenient to buy at this place, with free shipping to the store and easy checkout without waiting in line. From my own experience it was a Danby portable dishwasher, a nice foam mattress (don't remember the brand, but it was really cheap and good), and inexpensive computer desk. IMHO, this particular store deserves at least 3 stars. read more

I honestly loathe this place. I personally have nothing against Walmart in general... but I don't care for the typical clientel at these stores and this one is no exception. Call me an elitist if you want to, but I have my reasons and they're not based on a superiority complex. Here's my typical, albeit rare, trip to this Walmart; -Upon pulling into the parking lot, I have to jam on my breaks (at 5-10MPH) to avoid hitting one of 3-5 kids some 300+ lbs. Jabba the Hutt wannabe in a scooter has with her, but can't be bothered to pay attention to. Yes, this happens frequently. -Upon exiting and locking my car, I grab a shopping cart and dump out the trash that someone else left in it. -I enter the store that feels more like a crowded warehouse and either go straight or left... because I'm not so bad off that I'll buy clothes there. -Upon searching multiple isles in a clearly not well thought out floorplan, and struggling to get down overcrowded narrow lanes, I grab the item that Target or... anywhere else I shop didn't have. -I get to the check out which is always overcrowded and understaffed, and wind up waiting behind some elderly woman who is in the 10 items or less line... WITH A FULL FREAKEN SHOPPING CART, while she attempts to argue every single price with the cashier who barely speaks english. - I take my item after paying and head out to see how many shopping carts have dented or dinged my car... and begin to wonder if the trip was worth it. -I get in my car and mutter obscenities under my breath, while lying to myself that I'll never go back. Honestly, it's not entirely Walmart's fault, but the shopping experience there is just the WORST, and I don't recommend it. Especially not with a Target and HomeGoods right up the street. read more

Could I give no stars? Worst store ever. Went to buy a thermos and I asked 4 "associates" where I could find one and not one of them knew what a thermos was. Left and went to Target, asked for a thermos and they walked me to the department where camping supplies were and there they were. Walmart has the worst staff ever, ridiculously long lines and I would rather toss something than take it back as the return line is always long and staff extremely slow. I was looking for a review to tell me if this location had a grocery section and couldn't find anything. So, I visited today because this is the closest Walmart in the Boston area and no one can beat Walmart's Great Value prices and brand. Well, these other reviews were not lying! This probably was the worst Walmart I have ever been in. Not only was their grocery section very limited, the store was extremely cramped and had very limited products in all departments. It was not worth the drive to save that extra buck. If your looking for cheap groceries either find another location or go to your local Shaws or Star Market. If you are going to shop for clothes, electronics, toys etc. go to Target just down the street. You will have a more enjoyable shopping experience! read more

This being said, I have made it almost 33 year years without stepping foot or supporting a Walmart, until tonight. I am pissed at myself for this. I was forced to buy something and support those fuck-nuts. Or super bright side if you were to actually walk in. The place is so brightly lit I am sure the electricity they use in one day could power a small town for a year. The place is HUGE! I mean it's like Target and Home depot rolled into one. HUGE! I had to wander the isles forever, the place is set up by a schizophrenic for sure, the A.D.D. lay out and random categories are amazing. Everything they have there is crap or looks like crap. can it be that they have 3 sections on different sides of the store for bathroom stuff? WTF?! oh, it was just so bad in there. I got to the check out and this NASTY man who smelled SO bad cut in front of me. I said excuse me in my typical WTF attitude kinda way I do when people cut in front of me smelling of dirty diapers. He said he worked there and was on break. yeah, those Doritos weren't gonna help his bad smelling cause, but whatever. he was just nasty. I think I might puke thinking about it again. regardless, Walmart is an evil company and I need to do some serious cleansing to rid myself of the bad karma I now have by supporting them. Wish I could give this less than one star. The cashier barrack has the worst set of customer service skills I have ever seen in my life. During my trip there today, I went to the checkout he was working at. After patiently waiting for him to finish chatting and joking around with the man in line before me, he then proceeded to say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me or make any eye contact with me. Also, he scanned my items and had I not asked them to be put in a bag, he would have continued to literally throw them into my shopping cart. I have never been treated with such disrespect at any other store before. Perhaps he needs more customer service training, especially a class on how to treat ALL customers with respect.
