I spoke with 4 people that couldn't help me for an item locked up behind the glass that cost $4. Every single one told me they don't have a key or press the help button. 13 mins, counted 7 employees walk by the aisle I was in. I pressed the help button multiple times and I could hear the thing alert the employees that someone needs help in the aisle I was in but no one came. Shopped there today. I witnessed a guy in wheelchair hiding merchandise behind his back and roll right out the front door. I told the WM employeee that was checking receipts at the exit. He was Indian and didn't speak English very well. When he finally understood, he just laughed and said he does that everyday. I just had a very painful return experience. Walmart needs to make sure that they have clear communication with their employees on what the return process is like. I followed the instructions online. I started the return process so that walmart sent me an email with the barcode so that I could return in store. With one scan, I could return quick and easy, right? Nope. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes, I got to the front. I gave her the shoes in the original shoe box, that still had the shipping label on it. I showed her my phone with the barcode. At this point, she takes out the shoes and looks inside for the company name. She then asks me for a photo of the shoes to make sure that it's the correct pair. I start going through my email - I have the order received email, order shipped and arrived email, and the return email. All three do not show pictures of the shoes. I start looking online for the shoes. I find it on the Walmart website. Throughout this whole process, she keeps repeating loudly that she has a right to ask for a photo of the product since it's their policy. She keeps saying there should be a picture of the shoe in your order confirmation email. There is absolutely no picture of the shoes in all three of my emails. Why is she asking for something that isn't there? Why is she accusing me of something being missing when it's not even there in the first place? I show her the picture of the shoe on the outside of the shoe box, and say it looks exactly like the shoes in the box. I show her the Walmart website and say it looks exactly like the one on the website. I understand she was just trying to be careful, but she didn't need to be accusatory and act like I was doing something shady when I showed her several pieces of evidence that I did everything right. Also, if I ordered these shoes in person and had a receipt, there ALSO wouldn't be a picture of the shoes on the receipt. IDK about now with this SIP either but it its a nicer and much bigger location than the other ones I've been to. This location also has the produce and frozen section as well. This walmart location has improved in recent years. Merchandise, Assortment, Cash Register all seem to work fine. Self Checkout is good. Most times, we are able to find items, quality improved a bit too, usually stock is less after 8pm. Retun Service Center Staff is very good, except hours are reduced. Lot of merchandise is in locked showcases due to loss prevention, hence sometime it takes time to get things. Auto Center is very good, except they had staffing and supply issues in 2020-2021. Overall for everything I would rate 4.5 based on my direct fast visits. One problem is hard to get help to find things, that part has never fixed. Hence Assortment, Merchandise, Returns Center, Auto all great. Two things, Online pickup service and aisles helper need to improve. read more

This location is clean & big, I'll give them that. And items are where they're supposed to be here too. They sell everything at this location from clothes to food & more. I would never buy makeup or alcohol there as both those items are locked up. The hard liquor is actually located behind the register & a cashier needs to get what you want for you. And I think you need to stand in a separate line too, ridiculous! Beer & wine isn't locked up. This is very inconvenient. My friend told me that her husband had to wait over 20 minutes to get a razor too. Why buy stuff there when you can get those items more easily & be able to grab what you want yourself? read more

I would love to have given it 5 stars but there are a few things that prevented that. Don't let my critique be anything more than recommendation for improvement. We all have room for improvement. I know I do. It's the first step to being the better version of ourselves. When you first walk in, ya go into the bar and on a Friday night there were already people waiting to be seated and people waiting for orders to go. We are barely inside the door and it's difficult to get through with people leaving and blocking our way. To get to a hostess, I had to wait quite awhile to pass through and ask how long the wait is so I have plenty of time to look around and check the place out. So much going on. Definitely took a step back in time. Kinda cool once I took it all in and it made me think of something from Good Fellas (RIP Ray Liotta). Definitely enough to check out while waiting there for a seat. Being that we were new there, I was bewildered that the hostess (as cute as she was - bubbly little girl) didn't offer us an option of where we could wait for our table. Along comes another girl to take us to our table and a server buzzes by. No manners. I had already been watching this girl and noticing her mannerisms, I was hoping she wasn't going to be our server. Well....she was. After she rudely buzzed past the girl seating us, she comes to the table and there was no personality. No introduction, not sleeves on her shirt (working in a full service restaurant I would have been asked to go change before reporting to work if I showed up in a tank top), not much of anything but "get 'em done." Mind you, husband and I are both former restaurant workers and my husband is part Cicilian and learned what fresh Italian pasta and food should taste like and were hoping not to be disappointed. We weren't. Food was definitely fresh!! However, when we asked the server what was in the appetizer ravioli, she didn't know. How does she not know? That's her job? Before leaving, I stopped and asked the bartender, who was now in the server area, if she knew what was in the ravioli and she told me. Imagine that. Why did I know the bartender would know? Because I had enough time to observe her while waiting for our table and she was on point. She knew her business. Husband says the sauce on the veal parm was a little over cooked, but otherwise good. I was wanting dessert, but I truly was full. Maybe next time. Over all, we enjoyed it. Fun experience and good food for a fair price. Thank you!! read more

2020 Update - I think it's time to up the rating a little bit because this store actually made an effort last week that made a lasting impression. We all know that Walmart can sometimes not be the best when it comes to the service model and coming here can be a hit and miss. But I have to say to the employees of this location is that they are genuinely trying. I was looking for something in a certain isle and an employee whom I can't remember his name walked me all the way over there. I wrote it down so I can find it next time. The other plus is that when I needed some medicine from the pharmacy isle, someone was actually in that isle and was easily accessible to get an item so another plus for that. I actually like coming here because it's a nice diversion from the Walmart on Hesperian which can be a long walk from BayFair Bart. You can take BART all the way to Warm Springs and it's about a 15 minute walk down the street once you exit the station. May take longer in certain circumstances. The prices on items are slightly higher than other Walmart's depending on what you are buying. This store actually has more pantry items than Hesperian and Union City Walmarts, but It's like a Super Super Walmart in here. Just has everything. read more

Customer service is very poor. Long lines for return no matter what time or which day you come here. There will just be a single agent on the counter, if there is one, and that agent is also not self sufficient. Every now and then they will need help from a manager or supervisor, who takes forever to come. So, how fast the lines moves, makes me feel even DMV is so much better than this. Curbside pickup is another level. 20 min passed and still no one showed up. Once they did, they had all wrong items packed. I left without taking delivery and they never processed the refund. I go to this location because it's close to work, and just shop when I need something. A lot of great snacks, products here are cheap. I am still glad they have a self checkout which they call " scan and go". The outdoor, fishing and camping aisles have a huge selection of products. If you're doing your groceries, do it here. Everything is cheap here and popular brands. They have a clearance section which is cool to resell items on mercari, amazon, etcetera. read more

This is definitely one of the better locations in the area as they are usually fairly clean throughout the store as well as in their eating area. Just like any other Walmart, you can always find decent deals on a variety of merchandise but this location also always seems to have quite a bit of clearance that can save you even more money. read more

Witnessed the most horrifying experience EVER at Walmart on Osgood in Fremont this morning Monday 6/4/18 7:30ish. The young man in front of me was trying to get prices on 2 blenders, he wanted a specific one and the cashier couldn't understand him. he asked if she would call for help... Then on the loud speaker it said something about checking the security cameras near where we were, So a very small long haired lady I will assume was the manager on duty. came over, He asked about the camera comment... Was it racial? She then took it to a whole other level...She told them (his friend was in line) to leave as she was calling security AND the Fremont police??!!! Race is a hot topic in the News and headlines right now, This person did not have to elevate this encounter. She may do well to watch the news, and learn to live and work in a multi cultural environment!!! It was disgusting to see this young man treated this way... It is not against the law to shop while black, or with dreads. Even in Fremont!!! After they left it got worse while the (manager?) made horrible comments. Also she never asked the cashier anything about the encounter, Nor did she ask the young man! Yet continued to talk, Super sad day at Walmart... A little information, and communication would have went a long way in alleviating this situation. So, I'll be honest... I would like to dub myself a die hard "Target Shopper" vs. a Walmart Shopper for numerous reasons. I love the organization of Target, and the overall feel of Target. But after visiting this particular Walmart, I like it! This location is a lot newer compared to other bay locations, I like! Immediately walking in, I feel like I'm in Costco- it's very bright and airy. I love how organized this store is. There's no clothes on the floor or hanging off the hangers. I can push my cart through the aisles without hitting other carts (because this location is less crowded) and I'm not almost running over little kids. You will not find random kids playing tag in this Walmart, hallelujah! That's a huge plus. Are you in a shopping rush? Well this location offers the "self-check-out" option, so you can be in and out! The workers at this location are in the older side, but at least they can hear you and move rather quickly. read more

I like at the large variety of items the store has. The staff are helpful. I went in the other day to pick up shampoo I ordered online. The lady at customer service let me know the pick up area was in the back. You can actually see a large orange sign that says Pick Up. It is in between the baby section of clothing and baby food/snacks. You have to enter the last four digits of your order (can be found in your email) on the large tablet. The associate promptly came out once I entered the information. He was able to give me my products quickly and was out the door! read more

My truck died and Ali from the auto service department was a godsend. He came tested the battery and found out that it was completely dead and corroded. We bought a new battery at Walmart, he cleaned out the corrosion and put in the new battery. All in about 30 minutes. We were so happy with Ali, my husband went and personally told the store manager.
