Review strictly for the pharmacy, the slowest moving department in the whole store. Multiple times I've waited an hour or more for a refill on medications I order online for pick up. This time in particular, I came in at 10 am, waited over 30 minutes just to drop off the prescriptions. I was told 30-45 minute wait. Totally understandable, it's Friday and a lot of people are getting ready to leave town for the weekend. I went home, ate lunch and came back 1 hour and 15 minutes later, not ready yet. I've been told more than 4 times "Just 5 more minutes..." absolutely ridiculous. Another time, I had ordered 3 of my prescriptions online for pick up. I get to the store and hour after the scheduled time, just because I've been here before. I sort of know how long it takes. But, the pharmacy technician said she didn't fill them because my address didn't match the one on file. I do not understand how that happened, I haven't changed my address in 10+ years. So another hour I waited. The same "about 5 more minutes" every time I came back 10-15 minutes later. At this point I have the aisles and sales flyers memorized. By far the worse walmart I've ever stepped into. Employees are lazy, store is messy and dirty, a million customers and three check outs open. Instead of stocking shelves during off hours they do it during peak hours which means ever other aisle are blocked by pallets of merchandise to be put up on the shelves. Also, the customer service area is overloaded with carts of returns that the lazy employees put away when they get around to it and this includes refrigerated foods such as milk and dairy (see pic) read more

Great savings, go early. In the evening after 5pm , the parking lot is a mess. I go in the mornings, get in and get out. Sometimes it's not worth the headache and, I just go to Target. The store seems to always be re-locating everything. I always have to ask, where is this dept now. read more

I just went there for some groceries and they forgot to pack like half my stuff. I don't understand how you can mess up such a simple job as putting bags into a cart. In the pharmacy of this Wal-Mart in Northlake, everybody is hiding behind the counter, and are in denial of the fact that pharmacist should have a professional license and are obliged to post their license in the customer's view. I transferred twenty prescriptions to this pharmacy ninety days ago and from the beginning I had problems with their nagging about the shortage of staff. I told, if they are not able to handle my account I will go to another pharmacy, but they did not refused verbally but proofed it by their behavior and body language. From the first order there has been nothing but problems; they do not fill the prescription on time, they charge the insurance for the medications and do not include the med in the packet. On the top of it all they have double standards, if you do not speak the language of the technician they ask you to come back in an hour, but if you can speak the language they will hold the pick-up line for twenty minutes to fill their prescription if one could speak the staff's native language. The technicians call you and tell you the pharmacist has told them the doctor has denied your prescription, when you ask to talk to the pharmacist, pharmacist hang-off the phone. When you call back, after having a discussion with the doctor, the pharmacist refused to give you her first name "Donna" instead of her full name. Even if you explain to the pharmacist she is obliged to post her license at the place of work in the clear view of the customers, she denies the IDFPR regulations and refused to give her license number. Even when I approach the pharmacist in person she gives her name as "Donna Watson" and asked to look-up her license number on IDFPR website. I found out that she is not on the list of licensed Pharmacist in IDFPR website but she is practicing as a pharmacist at the Wal-Mart Northlake, Illinois. Then the Wal-Mart Northlake Pharmacy supervisor "Ben Trinidad" calls on an incognito phone number and leaves a massage calling him back without leaving a phone number to reach him!!!? That's how much he wanted to help. In the old times Wal-Mart used to treat their customers with respect, but now this is how the Wal-Mart's Pharmacies run, if you wish to get your medication properly with respect and get healthy get out of the Wal-Mart whirlpool. read more

Let me start by saying that my daughter died this year. She was my only child. I'm now raising her 2 yr old daughter, who is still struggling with the loss of her mother. She doesn't understand why she hasn't come home. My granddaughter and I have been quarantining for our safety. I'm trying to provide my granddaughter with a happy Christmas. In May our basement flooded, and we lost most of our Christmas decorations, out tree, and keepsakes my mom and grandmother made. For our safety I decided to order a Christmas tree on-line. We are on a tight budget. I went to Wal-Mart on-line to order the Holiday Time Pre-Lit Kennedy Fir Quick Set Artificial Christmas Tree 7.5' Mini Clear Lights. It's on sale for $99.00, and within our budget. I ordered for pick up at the Wal-Mart Forest Park. At 12:15 on 11/27/20 I received an email that the order was canceled because they were out of stock. I ordered the same tree from the Cicero store at 13:05. I waited all day for an email to pick up. At 17:00 I still had not received an email. I called the store 10 times for the pick up department and customer service. No one ever answered. I rang the pharmacy and they were nice enough to transfer me to a floor manager, who connected me with someone from the pick up dept. He let me know that they still had a lot of trees. I explained my situation, and he let me know they had not even looked at my order. He said they might get to it tomorrow. I reminded him that the website said if you order before 16:00 you will be available to pick up that day, and I ordered at 13:05. He said he couldn't do anything to help me. So I waited. 5 1/2 hours after I placed the order I received an email letter me know they were out of stock. They literally waited until the trees sold out to respond to the online orders. I tried to order from the Northlake store, and it was cancelled right away. I called customer service , and she helped me place an order at 18:49. She said they still had 6 trees, but might not fill the order until tomorrow. At 19:02 I received an email that my order was canceled, due to high demand. The truth is that the employees don't want to do their jobs and fulfill these orders. Clearly the on-line customers don't matter at all to Wal-Mart. At 22:28 I took a photo showing that the Northlake store still has 4 of these trees available to order and pick up. I tried 4 times today to order a tree to pick up, and none of the employees could bother to do their job. Worst customer service ever! read more

Me and my boyfriend went to get his ears pierced here and no one was at the jewelry department we asked about 5 employees if anyone was here they called about 6 times for someone to come and not one person came to help. Employees just kept walking by seeing us standing there waiting for help but not one person did anything about it. There's also the part where my boyfriend went to ask for help and two employees looked at each other and laughed at him. Like wtf . Service is awful . Employees are rude. This place is a joke I go into this location to get a power wheel for my son. I found it on line.price was right up the avenue of what I wanted to spend . Go to the toy section don't find it. ask a guy working if he can look up the truck to see if he has it in the back. He finds it but he says the truck is not the same price as what I am showing him. The truck is 24 votes and same color the only difference is my picture doesn't show a remote control. So the guy goes on to tell me that because this truck that he pulled up on his phone as a remote control it is $100 more. So I wouldn't be able to get it for the same price as 249 that shows on my end. His end is showing 349. So I asked for the store director maybe he or she could help. I go to talk to the store director which her name is Analiza she was no help. After her seeing both my phone and his phone she went on to tell me that it's a third-party company and that there's nothing she could do. She went on to tell me that target and all these other companies have third-party companies that they order from. I would not recommend them for even dog food. read more

Everybody knows the reputation of Walmart - they have low prices which are achieved by cutting corners everywhere they can: quality of merchandise, employee compensation, and anything else they can get away with. That's pretty much all true, but this particular Walmart is a little worse than average. For one thing, it's ALWAYS packed which makes for an unpleasant shopping experience. I don't mind long walks from my parking space, which is good because that is a guarantee whenever I come to this store. However, you can't go anywhere in this store without having to squeeze by people because the aisles are too narrow. The problem is there isn't really a good alternative in the area, unless you're willing to drive a few miles down the road to the Target in Melrose Park and pay higher prices. Every single time I go to this Walmart, I miss the K-Mart in Franklin Park which was SO much better. As for the employees, or "associates" as the company likes to call them... I'm inclined to cut them a little slack (but not much) because I worked at this location briefly, maybe 12 or 13 years ago. Things may have changed since then (though I doubt it), but when I was there associates were paid barely above minimum wage, forced to work long hours and almost never able to take their breaks when they needed them. They are told that the customer's needs come first, but if they stop to help customers then they get in trouble for not getting their other work done. Who could stay motivated to work hard in an environment like that? However, that doesn't change the fact that employees are rarely around when you need them. If you need to know where to find something, you pretty much just have to guess. If you want to buy something that's in a locked case, like video games, then prepare to spend 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention. Or better yet, just go to the GameStop in the same parking lot and get better service and equal if not better prices. Shop here if you have no alternative. I go to shop here frequently and most of the time they have what I'm looking for. Sometimes the aisles can be a bit messy and unorganised which makes it harder to find what you're looking for. The staff isn't all nice or mean it depends on who you talk to and the way that they are feeling that certain day. Overall, Walmart is a decent place to go shop in although sometimes the cashier lines can get too packed when there isn't many workers in the cashier, but that can always be avoided by going to the self checkout place. read more

This is my home walmart. I already know what to expect from here every time I come in. It's unfortunate I have to think of it this way, but tonight's visit was much better than my previous visits. I was looking for a long time in many aisles for a hand créme for work & there were no workers to be found in any aisles so I went out of my way to find someone on duty. I came across the assistant manager named Luis who had said it was discontinued but would still check in the backstock if they still had it. Amazingly he came back with the whole box which hadn't been put on display yet. His patience & willingness to search for this item made me very satisfied & made up for all visits at this location. I walked in yesterday looking for a video game with my 5 year old son, I asked an associate if the game was available, he advised me that it was available, however he couldnt sell it till tmrw. My son appeared heart broken, he then stated that if i got their at 2345 and checked out at 0002 i could purchase it. He really went out of his way kudos to this employee. The customer service at this Walmart is by far the worst in the world. They just stopped my sister and accused her of shop lifting. (which she didn't) She was in the self check out. She spent over a hundred dollars and when walking out they accused her of stealing a pair of $3.00 sandals. They insulted and degraded her in front of people. I suppose there was a reason that I have never shopped at a Wal-Mart before. Worst experience ever. Not only was the place in total disarray, but employees were rude and incompetent. I've worked in customer service positions since I was 12 years old and the 12 year old me could have done a better job than anybody here. When I went last night the cashier was completely disengaged, rang me up, took my money, and put my items in the turn-style with the shopping bags. Had I not been blocked by the credit card machine I could have seen that she didn't put my three items in one bag nor did she turn the turn-style so I could retrieve these items. When I got home I found that 1 of 3 items weren't in my bag. I attempted to call Walmart 5 times before an employee finally answered and then was put on hold 5 minutes until a manager(if you could call him that) came on. I explained the situation to him and he told me I could come back and they'll review the tapes and can give me the product or refund my money. At this point it was 11:20 and there was no way I'd make it back there before they closed. Unfortunately, that'd be fine and dandy except that the item I grabbed was the last one on the shelf so I told him that and asked if he could check at the register and see if the incompetent cashier might still have it in her aisle. He told me he'd check and to give him a minute. So far, the manager seemed that he was doing a decent job, then 5 minutes went by, 10 minutes, 15, 20, 26.5 minutes go by and he still hasn't come back on the line. I hung up. Today I went back, it was on my way from work and thought that maybe they'd be able to help me. Not going to go into the poor customer service I dealt with today. But moral of the story is to avoid Walmart at all costs. read more

I will never buy another electronic device from this location. I recently went here looking for a TV for my son and came across a 19" flat screen HDTV on sale for $70. I thought it was to good too be true. before I purchased the TV. I asked the "so-called" experienced sales associate if there were any defaults or flaws with the TV. He assured me that there were no problems, they have tested the product before placing it back on the sales floor and that the real reason for the low price was due to a prior customer returning the TV cause it was too small for his children. (yeah right!) Long story short, the cable input doesn't work. Therefore this location has lost my business overall. I really like this Walmart location because it's always super easy to find what I need and it has a wide selection of everything, including clothing and home goods. There is a horrible, horrible employee here named Stella. She refuses to make eye contact, speaks in the rudest tone, and always tosses the receipt at her customers. Avoid her at all costs. So the store opens at 6:00 am everyday, well, I work nights so on my days off I pretty much stay in the "night shift" mode so I wait until 5:55 am to leave my house to get there a little bit after 6 am, obviously I live close by, well every time I do this, I get there at 6:05 am or later thinking, "It's past 6 am so they will be open".. NOPE, I get to the front doors and they are all locked. Always.. They need to change the sign with the store hours of operation to "opens at 6:10 am or later". I don't care that it's just 10 minutes or so, if it opens at 6 am then open the darn doors at 6 am, I got other things I have to get done. They see you standing there outside waiting and they just keep walking back and forth in front of the door like no one needs to get their shopping done as early as possible so they can move on to other things they need to do through out the day. Unprofessional... not a one in this Walmart should be working there. The employees talk so loud with each other about how they don't want to be there. I have been a customer of Walmart for many years and spend quite a bit of money there. I just experienced something that I had never heard of. I spent over 200 dollars there today and was about to purchase 3 bottles of wine, Was ask for ID which I gave, I'm 40 plus years, my husband was with me, but did not have an ID. I was not able to purchase. I asked about the policy and was told that they card everyone that is together. This is not displayed in the store and has no supportive logic behind it. Very disappointed with my recent visit to the tech dept. at Wal Mart. I went there hoping to get help to remedy a cell phone issue. My old cell phone had died and I needed a new one. The young man in the tech dept. (after spending a lot of time trying to get me to switch my plan - to a more expensive plan with a different carrier) told me he couldn't help me if I have a prepaid plan with AT&T (which I do). Told me the AT&T stores would probably be closed until late July because of the virus (I have since learned the AT&T store in Villa Park is open.) After declining his offers of more expensive plans with different carriers, and learning that the AT&T store in Villa Park was open, I visited AT&T. The manager there told me that all I needed to do was to go to Target (I'm sure other stores sell prepaid AT&T phones, too) and buy an AT&T phone and switch the sim card and I'd be good to go. I'm certain the tech guy at Wal Mart knew this, but he would not have made any money off me. Be aware - the tech "help" dept. at Wal Mart is not a "help" area but simply run by slick sales people looking to make money even if the sale requires deceit. Sure left a bad taste in my mouth. Went to Target. The tech gal there was wonderful and troubleshooted with a sim card and I left happy with a new cell phone (keeping AT&T) read more
