They had no issues giving me my prescription so I could buy glasses online as anyone will find that way is much more affordable. They do skin care services, which I was a little shocked by when I first heard of it, but I was pretty impressed with their procedures. Kept insisting and sarcastically making remarks to make you feel stupid. After she told me that the contact lens exam was an extra 130 not including the lens i was confused because i didnt know that was a seperate exam and nobody told me. She said its in the fine print. Yes lady cause everywhere you go im sure you read the terms and conditions word by word. So i simply said ill pass on the contacts. And 3 times she said "i have to start from scratch sorry" just to make you feel bad. Which i didnt cause my bad you have to work a tiny bit harder from your super uncomfortable desk chair. I was silent when she kept repeating that cause im not going to entertain that sassy attitude. Before i left she goes "Usually our customers know about the contacts exam". (Late Friday afternoon.) He took a thorough look and said the abrasion on my eye would eventually heal, but prescribed an ointment. Now it's the next day and I feel 100% better. I could barely see out of my right eye yesterday. Dr Bauer has a wonderful "bedside manner", was patient and kind. I highly recommend him, and would definitely go again.

I did not know that as a person with severe nearsightedness that I would be at a much higher risk of retinal detachment, and that I needed to keep a very close eye on my eye health, as no doctor has ever told me before. I go in regularly because my vision keeps getting worse over the years so I have just gone in to update my glasses prescription over the years to different places, even one just this past year, but had not been offered or urged to get retinal imaging even though I have severe nearsightedness. THANK GOD Dr. Bauer's office requires retinal imaging at a common eye prescription appointment because I may not have known I needed it, since my vision has been normal besides needing an updated glasses prescription. He looked at my retinal images and immediately noticed that something was very wrong and helped make me an appointment with a retinal specialist right away, he literally texted the retina specialist my imaging when I was there in the chair. I don't have a very good prospect for my eye, and will likely require complex surgery, because I had never been told that I needed to have retinal imaging every year. I wish I had seen Dr. Bauer much earlier, as he would have caught my retinal detachment much sooner and my surgery outcome would be much better. But I am thankful he found it now. Overall I am so grateful for Dr. Bauer, he may have saved me from going blind. He was very smart and knowledgeable, kind, and even funny! He has a great bedside manner, which matters a lot to me since I have significant anxiety, especially around medical issues.
