I don't know what you lot are on about…read more Ten days ago, my teenager had four wisdom teeth removed. He was in agony. I asked him to rate his pain 1-10 and he said 8-9. I insisted the Oral Surgeon give him a prescription painkiller. (They had already given a script for mouthwash, and penicillin and 800 mg Motrin.) I took the script and ran straight to CVS on 301/Mount Oak Road. They quoted me a three hour fill time for 20 Percocet! Seriously???? I demanded my script back I then checked Safeway, Giant, Target, and they all told me the same. I don't know if this is part of the "heal the opioid crisis," but as I told the pharmacist at CVS "I'm not going to let you cure the epidemic on my son's back....gimme my damn script back." I then remembered ComCare. Never used them before but my son's girlfriend is completing her pharmacy tech rotation and she had told us she works there. I called ComCare, and they had a .....TEN MINUTE FILL TIME! I am NOT KIDDING! Now. When I went in the pharmacist treated me kinda sketchy....I can imagine getting a call "How fast can you give me opioids?" Is a red flag question. However I explained the reason and also that all the other pharmacies quoted me three hours. I told them they needed to go to the Oral Surgeons in the area and have them send their business. Finally I got a smile out of the pharmacist LOL. Also to the person who spoke of "constantly revolving staff," DUH!!! Pharmacy Technician students have to complete internships to get their license. They intern at several pharmacies. That's why the "rotation." Initially I was just going to get the Percocet filled but they were so good, I said screw it and gave them all three. They got some new customers!

A family member that just had surgery required a few medical items after she exited the hospital,…read moreand I knew for sure the normal drug stores around town wouldn't have any of the items on her list. I then remembered passing this small drug store/pharmacy in Bowie Town Center. I looked them up online and called them first to make sure they carried the items, and to my surprise, they did! I went over right after work and found everything on the list. The customer service was excellent! While browsing, the pharmacist came from behind the counter just to ask if I needed any help. This store is perfect if you have elderly/disabled persons in your life because they carry very useful items such as: contraptions to put your socks on, put lotion on your back, wheelchair cushions, bed pans....and much, much more. It was a big help to find the medical supplies I needed here, because I didn't have time to order them. If you're ever in need of medical supplies for various illnesses, I would definitely check here before ordering anything. A true lifesaver!

I had a heck of a time finding a clinic that had availability for a COVID booster vaccination…read moresooner than three weeks out, so I researched and found Crown's - a pharmacy about 30 miles from Baltimore. This establishment is small and neat, with a strangely sparse amount of product on their shelves. Very strange. I was there for the jab, so I informed the tech of my purpose. I then went to be seated in an area with four other gentlemen there for the same reason. About five minutes in, the tech called one of the men up and informed him that they were unable to administer his Pfizer shot because of "some needle issue". The man was instructed to go to another location somewhere else in Laurel. The three other men were called up - one by one - and told the same thing. Naturally, I went to ask whether this needle issue also impacted me, a Moderna vaccine recipient. Nope, they had it. With much relief that I didn't make a blank trip to Laurel, I got the shot. This entire experience begged the question, why didn't the tech inform the previous four men about the needle issue when they first got there? And since each appointment was scheduled, why wouldn't the pharmacy have called the men to let them know before they drove there?

Shoutout to our local community hero, Ed ! He gives a good shot! Covid vaccine shot for the win!!…read moreClean venue and easy to access on the days there is The Dutch Market is closed, but I can't say anything about what it looks like during market. I was told parking is a bit harder, but parking is obtainable. It was easy to make an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccine at the location, so it was a wonderful blessing. It is located near a Mediterranean market and Famous Kabob and Karahi on the side of side of street of Home Depot. We were able to find all our over-the-counter medical supplies and even a cool refreshing drink in the refrigerator. We will be back for the 2nd vaccine shot. So hopefully we get a chance to know the surrounding shops.

I had run out of some head cold medicine and knew that CVS would have some. I came in hopes of…read moremaking it a quick stop and be back on my way. But all good intentions and all... The cold medicine I needed was one that you had to grab a card from the shelf and head to the pharmacy counter to purchase. Basically a controlled substance even though it is over-the-counter. With that card in hand I made my way to what I thought was a short line. Until I saw that it started back the aisle. I make my way to the end of the line and patiently wait my turn. As patiently as I can with my head feeling like it was in a vice grip. They kept allowing people that had walked up to the drop off area to just get in line ahead of all of us in line. Slowly I made my way to the counter and handed the card over. The staff asked me if they didn't have the exact one I handed over would I take the comparable one. Of course I would, I needed it for sure. Of course, the one I brought up, they did not have. The other was the brand name and cost more, but I was gladly going to purchase. Would be easier if you could bypass at least one portion of this. The line, the guessing which one is in stock, the wait.
