Details: PHARMACY: Has helped me more than once to get my Drs office to fax my lowly non narcotic prescription for my arthritis in my hands that I need to perform every day duties of my job as a chef, and on my days off, needed to do simple things like laundry and making my bed. My Drs office is horrible at doing anything for me and I'd be in constant pain if it weren't for a couple of the ladies of this pharmacy, big shout out to them!!! STORE: Do not go in there late on Thursdays or you will be maneuvering thru full carts and pallets full of stock, Thursday must be their truck day ( as was another retail pharmacy I once worked for that also starts with W) and forget about finding anyone who knows where anything is. She's a very short old lady with short blonde hair and was trying to act smart and didn't even make an effort to help. She didn't even apologize and just brushed me off. Yelp's 3 star rating states: "A-OK", which credits the store a little better than it should be, but it doesn't deserve less than 3 stars. The downfall to the store is that there are employees that do not ask if you need assistance and that some do not speak English (the disabled not included). Prices are of course competitive to other stores, but the lack of orderliness/cleanliness, out-of-stock shelving, and available assistance brings my overall rating to 3 of 5. On a side note: There seems to be a manager or employee who speaks on the speaker system who is stressed beyond belief. She needs to calm the hell down (heard on more than one occasion). read more

Some employees try to be helpful, sometimes. The whole store is a chaotic mess, nothing is ever in the appropriate place. Packages are opened already. The floors are always sticky, random things are spilled all over the floor. Overall a very unpleasant shopping experience. I avoid this place whenever possible. I have noticed in the past three years the employees have gotten more helpful and they actually try to help you find what you need.When I first moved to Lompoc workers would just point, and the customer service was nothing like Colorados. The only issues I have with Walmart is vegetables look either really crappy,or they are out of a lot of vegetables. Ever since we moved here we had no problems coming to this store until now. About 2-3 weeks ago my mother and I were at self checkout. Some worker (another Karen) there walks up to us and asks to open a luggage that my mother was buying. We don't know if this was a racist or discriminatory request because first of all we're the type of people who would never steal and second we're an asian family in a neighborhood that's majority of hispanic. I guess due to how we dressed that day or because of our skin color we blend in well with everyone else. But this lady was like, "did you scan that item already? Open it for me." Like we stole something? And fyi it was the first item we scanned because it's the most expensive item we were buying. My mother was just buying luggage for when she goes back home to visit her parents in Philippines and this Karen walks up to us like we can't pay for our stuff or like we're stealing? I have had terrible experiences at this location. Employees have terrible attitudes in this place. I went to Wal Mart with my daughter this week and had a list of things to get. I asked my daughter to read the price of cigars from the shelves because I have a serious vision problem and the shelves for cigars are about 10 feet from the counter and I could not read it. I went to the counter to buy them and the clerk refused to sell them to me because my daughter had read me the prices and she was underage. She's not buying them I am and I am not under age. Was ridiculous. I demanded to see a manager and was finally able to purchase these items. Use some judgment. About a year ago, I returned a microwave I purchased, still in the box etc and was barely spoke to when I made the return. My boyfriend and I had an awesome experience today when we went to Walmart to buy a new car battery. Turns out his old one just missed the cut off date to qualify us for a free replacement! Technically we should have had to pay for a brand new one but an associate named MARLON went out of his way to see if there was anything they could do to help us out! It was so sweet! He ended up explaining our situation to a manger named DAVID who made the executive decision to override the transaction for us. They were both so nice and helpful and had great customer service! As a kid who goes from store store forcibly shopping with his mom, there is no doubt tin my mind that Walmart is my least favorite place to shop. Yes the prices are low--most of the times--but that's about it. It could be the worst place to shop in my opinion. When you walk in and their is supposed to be those friendly greeters, well their not their for the promised "Welcome!" or they seem like security guards in a huge discount prison. The whole store is littered with stuff from the shelves. It is a huge mess. It seems like they change the store frequently. When you go in you have to walk practically a hike like Mount Everest to get to a certain section. Then when you finally have the product you would like to purchase, there a ridiculously long line for the registers. They have at least 10 registers and only 3 are lit up. If you considering shopping at Walmart then you like going through the levels of Dante's Inferno, if you like walking through hell then you like Walmart. Found a nail in my tire so I had a friend put the spare on and I went to the Walmart Tire Center to have it repaired. First, the hours on the website are wrong, so I got there at 7 am only to find out they don't actually open until 8 am (on Sunday). I waited an hour, finally checked in and told them my situation. I was then told they have to get "all the oil changes out first", even though I was first to be helped. So I waited for that. After another hour the guy comes in telling me they can't patch my tire because the nail was too far off to the side, but Big Brand would be able to do it. 2 hours of waiting to not even get my problem resolved. Had they had the courtesy to just go out and look at it this would have saved me half of my wait time. Never go there for service. read more

I visited this Walmart to make some returns. I just got married and received 4 crock pots and 4 doormats with no gift receipts. After looking up the brands online I saw that they carry this crock pot and doormat at Walmart. I went to the customer service counter where I was able to return some of the items. The items I wasn't able to return I was told because they didn't have a SKU number so I needed to find the exact same one in the store and bring it up to the customer service counter. I think the employees at Walmart should be responsible for finding the item, they must have a better idea of where it would be! But I looked and couldn't find it in store so I found the item online on Walmart's website so I went back to the customer service desk to show the employee. She told me that there wasn't a SKU number so she couldn't take the item. This is ridiculous, Walmart needs to rework their return policy. I have been here many times. In my opinion it is not the best store to shop at. This specific store is huge, but the workers here are not very friendly. The workers seem to be grumpy all the time and don't seem to know what they are doing. When I went to go ask a worker if she knew what isle the dog toys were at she didn't seem to know where anything was. Yes the prices are low, but the store is so confusing and scattered that it takes ages to find what you are looking for. When I compare Walmart to others stores Walmart always seems to be lacking the special connection that makes you want to go back next week. This Walmart isn't the cleanest in town. You will find scattered items everywhere you go. I would not recommend going to this Walmart to anyone. Imagine going into a store that is huge, but nobody there is willing to help you. When you arrive there you are completely lost, so you ask a worker where you can find a specific item and they don't know themselves. Not to mention they have the worst attitude you have ever experienced. It is as if they keep the workers hostage. You walk into an isle and find thousands of random items that don't belong in that isle. The workers don't seem to be organizing anything. Even though their prices are low, wouldn't you pay a tad bit more, but get better costumer service. Unless you want to be lost in a big store full of rude employees then I would not go to Walmart. I am sure you can find a better store around your area like Target, Walgreens, and etc. Although they might be a little bit more pricy I am sure it is worth it. If you are looking for a store that has bad costumer service and doesn't have their stuff perfectly organized then I am sure Walmart is your store. But if you are looking for a good store with friendly costumer service then Walmart might not be the right store for you. If you don't plan on getting lost for about ten to twenty min then I would highly recommend you check out some other stores around you. Walmart just doesn't cut it. Was in Santa Maria for vacation with my family and went to this walmart for a oil change. I was told there was a two hour wait (i agreed to wait) and that i was to put my name and number on the list so they could call me when my car was done. After 3 and a half hours of wandering around walmart with my family and still recieving no status update of my car we walked back to the auto center. i saw that my car was parked on the finished side of the auto shop, the first in order of maybe 15-20 cars indicating it was there for quite some time. i prepared to pay the cashier and he walks to the backroom to fetch my keys. As he hands me my keys he began to tell me with an plain emotionless stoic face that the tool they needed to service my car ( a toyota corolla, probably the easiest most common car to work on...) had broken so they couldnt do anything. Upset that my vacation time was wasted for nothing i complained to him asking why nobody had called me if there was nothing they could do. With annoyed expression he says someone should have and that he was sorry. I immediately asked for the manager. When he arrived instead of showing some kind of sympathy and perhaps telling me to return and get my service done a discounted price he begins to give me bullcrap excuses covering for the mechanics. At this point i gave up and walked away. As i left i hear them snickering and laughing. Seriously a shitty walmart with sorry ass employees. Id prefer to give them 0 stars!!!! read more

After an associate names Aj assured me they had it, I went to the store and found just what I need with Aj's help. He was very friendly and knowledgeable! I come here pretty often with my parents or grandparents to purchase various things. I must say, i'm a fan of some things and not a fan in other areas. Which is why i give this Walmart three stars. I come here very often for video games, school supplies, gifts, groceries, whatever. And It's pretty easy to find what you are looking for. At least its easy to find the department/aisle. Once you find the aisle of where your needed product is, its pretty difficult to find the exact product. Specifically in the toy department, its usually pretty messy. Stuff is knocked over or opened on the ground. But like i said, the entire store is pretty easy to navigate around. Although some employees (elctronic department specifically) are pretty rude. They don't even pay attention to the lines or anything. You could be standing waiting for a while if you dont speak up and get their attention. That's mostly a problem for the younger employees. The more mature employees at the front of the store work pretty fast, and are usually friendly and patient with you. Walmart makes a ton of money. They have products for just about EVERYTHING. It's actually pretty insane. From entertainment, to household necessities, to groceries, to clothes, to car products, to outdoor sports products, to pet care, you name it. Walmart has just about everything which is what i love. What i don't love is the mess and the rude (young) employees. Other than that, its great. Which is why i give it three stars. read more

The difference between a three ring circus and this Walmart is there is no tent over the store, I'm usually waiting for elephants to join the show. This place is insane on the weekend and for some reason the mens clothes department always looks like tornado alley. I've been to the one in Arroyo Grande and it is very organized and clean, so why such a big difference within just a few miles? More people can't be the answer because it seems there's always a lot of people in both. Well, just to be clear Wal-Mart, the company, has a wide variety of products for a good price. So I have to be a fan because it's the only one in town :) The "Return Items" customer service is really great! They immediately handle your issue and always try to have the buyer benefit from it. For "Black Friday" it was very well organized. I was real happy how they had enough security to help keep the crowd under control. The electronic department in particular isn't the best. The employees don't seem to be in a good mood. It just seems as if they don't want to be there. My personal experience with this... I bought a limited edition movie series and it was defected (fine, not their fault). But, the service I got for this was horrible! I waited for 2 weeks to get a new one and it was because they didn't have it in stock. I went to the "Return Items" department and they did everything they could to help me. They personally went to the electronics department and looked in the computer if they had it in stock. They told the electronics department and the manager that they had it but they didn't do anything! I was very upset nad had to talk with the another manager to get what I needed. As a reviewer of many other department stores I can tell you Walmart is the worst. I had a grandmother who used to work there and she told me that Walmart is a bad company to work for. The store is a complete disaster. If you have been in a Walmart you know it is completely disorganized. Now to make things worse Walmart has taken a lot of products off there shelf. Now to get all of these products you have to go next door to get everything you need. Now the staff, the staff at this store are just rude.The staff ignore you and you can tell the staff hates there jobs. I have been to Wal-Mart to many times to count. I wouldn't recommend going to Wal-Mart that much. I say this because Wal-Mart is filthy every time I go. Also when I go there are big lines at their cashiers. They also don't have much variety in any of their departments. Most of their inventory is all over place never in the correct aisle. I have been looking online for a yard storage shed. I found one on Walmart's website that was just what I was looking for. I placed the order - it was $600.20 plus tax. At the checkout there was a box about shipping that said my order was over $50 and I was entitled to free shipping. I checked the box stating I would like the shed shipped to my home rather than pick up at store. The price increased $99.97. When I changed my choice to pick up at store, the $99.97 disappeared. I e-mailed Walmart.com and asked what this was all about. I was told this was NOT a shipping charge, rather it was a "freight handling charge." I asked what the difference was but no one could tell me. If I pick it up at the store there is no "freight handling charge." If I have it delivered to my home 2 miles away I have to pay $99.97 extra. If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck....it's a shipping charge.
