There are two types of people in this world - those who shop at Wal Mart - and those who shop at Target. I shop at Target - but this Wal Mart is close and convenient, so I go. For the most part it's decent - the employees in the checkout lines, and the self checkout lanes, and at the entrance and exit - are friendly and courteous. But if you want hep with something out on the floor - forget it. The aisles are always cluttered, the shelves are always a mess, and there is product everywhere. The mobile app has some nice features - there's "scan and go" where you scan each item as you shop and then can transfer the items at the checkout lane wirelessly for your total. And a new feature "savings catcher" - where you can scan your receipt to the app and Wal Mart searches for a lower price at other local retailers - and if they find one they send you the difference on a gift card. read more

We are daily customers for as long as Walmart has existed on Route 53. It has never been so poorly run or poorly stocked as it is currently. Regularly, we cannot find Vanilla Silk soy milk in the dairy cases; nor Blue Bunny Strawberry-Banana frozen yogurt, or Oreida frozen french fries, etc.: just the Great Value brand which we all know Walmart owns and pushes. Also, I wanted to make a jewelry purchase the other day, and I indicated so on their customer service pad; and I waited and waited and waited...finally, I left, vowing to purchase the item online at Amazon.com. Does Walmart think they are so successful that their customer needs and desires no longer count for anything? If thing don't change, we will do our grocery shopping at Jewel or Caputo's; they seem to care what their customers want to purchase. read more

The employees are not very helpful and don't seem to know what their product lines are, nor do they take the time to help answer your questions. If you're in a hurry, please don't think that the check out experience will be a fast one as I think one of the qualifiers to be employed at this store is to be an incredibly slow cashier. This walmart blows.... I know I know what do I expect it's walmart. First and foremost DO NOT I repeat Do Not use there auto service department. I came here for a simple oil change.. 20 bucks sounded great and I was on my way. Too bad they never did the service and with in 2 months my car was not working due to my engine having oil sludge in it from them not performing the service. Of course I called, being a corporation you would think they would do their best to rectify the situation. Nope the auto manager was a degenerate and even worse the investigator was a liar saying he reviewed tapes that he in fact never reviewed just so I would be scared and drop it. After weeks of going back and forth with degenerates and getting no where and having my patience tested every time I had to talk to their incompetent employees they won I dropped it. I'd rather shell out the money myself then deal with these fools. My time and patience and sanity was more valuable. Basically the workers are lazy, the management is horrible and the district leaders and others I spoke to in cooperate were just idiots. read more

I loathe going to Walmart about 50% of the time...it was convenient for me to stop at this place to do my grocery shopping after my dentist appointment down the street. I believe I've stopped in here before after dentist appointments as well, only to not do grocery shopping. I prefer to just go to walmart for odds and ends - paper products, shampoo, etc. rather than do full on grocery shopping. I left without three major things on my list... - coffee creamer (the individual cups) because they didn't have a variety of flavors - k-cups, they were so damn expensive!!! - Dijon mustard, because I just couldn't find it!!! Do they even sell it??? Maybe too classy for walmart??? Hell, I need it for an egg salad Moving on... The layout as others have mentioned is just odd, but what can you do??? The people going in this place literally make me want to pull my hair out, from the parking lot, to the people shopping IN the store, I wanted to scream... I will refrain from noting details here, thankfully two people brightened my mood while I was there, someone even apologized so I didn't leave the parking lot after my shopping in a full-on road rage. The produce in most Walmart stores is NOT up to par...and this one is no exception although the strawberries weren't too bad, I did pick them up beforehand in Sam's Club which is across the parking lot. I generally avoid Wal-Mart's. For a reason! I game here on my lunch break thinking I could pick up what I needed for dinner. LOL! I wanted chicken breast. I didn't even see Purdue, and the chicken I saw was leaking and oozing. Nasty! On top of that, there were no plastic bags available to put meat in. Ugh. Also, prices/produce aren't super great here. Finally, I witnessed a 20-year old blatantly steal a candy bar and the worker (right in front of her!) could have cared less. One time I asked customer service to break a $20 and they refused. Store is dirty in general (your feet will stick to the floor in the bathroom), it simply appears disorganized, staff is rather unfriendly and you finding what you need is hit or miss as stocking merchandise appears not to be fluent. Stopped there on Sunday looking for a steak, 3 left on the shelf and no one cared, including store manager who needs to have her attitude readjusted. For a Walmart, this one isn't too bad. Though it's still a little depressing to shop here, it's actually a little less sloppy than most other Walmart stores I have been to and it doesn't look like a tornado just rampaged through the aisles. Though Walmart isn't my main choice to buy cheap crap, it's always good when I'm visiting my parents in Addison and I suddenly realize I'm out of toilet paper back at my apartment. Now that it has become a Supercenter, the store is better organized, but there are still shortcomings. Although the footprint of the store is smaller than other Supercenters, there is still only 1 shared entrance/exit. The grocery section is to the left upon entering and the produce section is not of high quality, which is typical of most Supercenters. The selection of dried and refrigerated goods has increased significantly, but does not match that of the standard grocery chains. However, if they have what you are looking for, the price point is lower. From a competitive grocery standpoint, I don't think it will take much away from either of the Caputo's on Lake Street. If I had to get some household supplies, I would come here but still go to Caputo's for groceries rather than do both at Walmart. The department store part of Walmart is unchanged. The cash registers have added a few more self serve but are not operational at night time. Like most Walmarts, they understaff the registers at night, but have plenty during the day and early evening. read more

I stopped at this Walmart because I was out in Addison for a party. Afterward stopped here to get a few things. When I got home I noticed the cashier did not give me something I purchased. I called the store they told me I had to drive all the way back to this Walmart to get the item. I asked if they could credit back my card and they said no. Well I wasn't going to drive back 30 miles. The asst mgr was not very helpful and I feel they were not accommodating. All they said was accidents do happen. I was grocery shopping today there. I felt very ill at the time I was ready to check out. I saw an associate that I asked where something was earlier. I asked her if she could get someone to help me unload my cart onto the belt. She not only got someone else but I believe she was off work and stuck around to help me further. She helped me to the car, loaded the groceries in it. Made sure I was okay to drive. I wanted to give her $20 but she said thank you but no. Both of the girls were very compassionate which is rare these days. I was shocked. Thank you girls!!! The customer service here is terrible, I walk in to purchase a product which states 12.99 online with free pickup and available in-store. I go grab the product it rings up 24.99 head to customer service for price match... Should be easy right? Nope they tell me they can't because it's out of stock online but instock in the store. Took way too long for order pickup. We were waiting for an hour and they still hadn't gotten our order and no one was answering the phone.

So I spend over $500 to get new tie on my car I received a set up time from 7am to 8am I called. The shop and the lady who answer the phone was rude. She was Ghetto Black woman I asked to talk to a manger then A guy got on the phone and said this is the best you going to get as a manger. I then told him know I need to talk to a manager what he did not know that I worked for Sam Club as a COS in the pass Then he Changed up his Behavior put me on Hold for 20mins. So I called off my other phone to the Store asked to speak with a coach which is a real manager spoke with Coach Boris and also a team lead Patricia they was very helpful. I would not recommend anyone to the tire shop going forward I've also made a call to the one 800 customer service number to let them know the type of service that they are providing remember everyone if you do not speak up this type of behavior will continue happening In these type of stores it's all about respect humility and integrity I am a paying customer. Usually have no issues with this store but lately have found too many items out of stock. Beefsteak hearty rye is rarely on the shelf. But the worst is now they have stopped carrying Merkt's spreadable cheese. I would buy them 3-4 at a time. A deli worker even told me that lots of people are very unhappy that it's gone. This is my Walmart , there are many like it but this one is mine. My Walmart is my best friend, it is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. If you've read a good cross section of my reviews , you know I don't really write that many reviews about corporate chains. I think everyone knows pretty much everything to know about them , and already have formulated their opinion on such places. Recently I've been overrun with anti Walmart sentiment , particularly for the new Walmart in Chicago on North Ave. I've never been there , and to all the negative reviewers that have bothered to even shop there before writing it a scathing review, this rant probably doesn't apply to you. To anyone that "doesn't support" Walmart solely based on "corporate greed man!" , you are a douche. Corporations , by definition are based on greed , if they don't make cash , they won't stay open. Every large chain store screws somebody , all of them. Walmart supplies reasonable quality goods at inexpensive prices for people that probably don't have alot of cash , I know I don't. So I'm supposed to spend at least 10-20% more on my shopping to appease random groups of Yuppie fucktards , not very likely. Ask anyone working at Walmart if they feel like indentured servants , or even if they are unhappy working there. My guess is that some will hate working there , some will like it , and some will tow the line until something better comes along ... pretty much like in every other job I've heard of. At this Walmart , the customer service is lacking , but that is a very common occurrence at most retail outlets in general. Is this store clean or well organized - not usually. Are the lines long here - not usually , I can get out of there fairly quick. Are the quality of the goods acceptable - usually. Can I find most of , if not everything I am looking for there - usually. I go to Walmart knowing what I'm getting myself into. I do not go there expecting a shopping experience like that at Macy's or Carson's (by the way , I think those stores suck the cock). If I want a toy , video game , or even a set of tires at a decent price , probably the best price, I go to Walmart. My problem is with the Grocery pickup feature...When I first started using the service I thought it was great and then too many times products were out of stock and that stinks because it's usually what I needed the most or was going to use that day. I have MS and Lupus so not having to walk the grocery aisles was a blessing until I find out I have to go find it somewhere else, but you can say you want everything substituted if out of stock but like in my case I originally ordered a bag of adult indoor cat food and they are out of it the "substitute" that I received is a bag that is more expensive and for kittens...when I have a 5 year old cat. Today I placed an order in the am and they had a slot for 4-5pm. I check the box that asks if I want a text sent and I never get one only Emails and on top of it all they send an Email at 1:50 telling me my order is ready which I don't see until 3:45 to see if my order if ready! If that had been a text and not an Email. I would have know sooner and gone to a different store or into Walmart myself to see what I could get instead but by 5pm I was too tired. At first it was a great convenience but I am no longer going to shop at this Walmart. I might give Jewel a try or another Walmart! You better come strapped with a gun and knife to shop here. The customers look like ex cons. The store is a nasty mess. The prices are not great at all. I find most things cherper at meijer. The employees seem completely lost and can barely ring out a customer without help. A flee market is cleaner and more organized. Carnival workers are an upgrade compared to most of the workers there. What a disgrace to customer service. Came here late at night and we we're not from the area. The place is horrible, small and the associates just are exuding sadness and depression of working there from their faces. The main reason why I'm giving this WalMart a 1 star was because while I was going to the bathroom someone actually greeted me. While trying to go into said bathroom I was rudely told by whoever was cleaning the bathroom to step out in the most rudest manner. I don't know about anyone else but where I work, if someone has to use the restroom, you let them use it. They have a grocery store in this location so it's a nice one stop shop if you forgot something for dinner. I particularly love this Walmart because it's close to home and is always plenty stocked. DON'T GO! I think Yelp should really consider zero star rating, because I know places that deserve so exist. I've never been able to find everything I need at this walmart. There're always empty shelves, at least for the items I need the most. In addition, the bags in the produce section are scattered HERE and THEREEEE to the extent that you need to "travel" back and fourth to grab a bag. They literally put all the bags by the scale!!! Also, It seems like everytime I go there it takes me about 45-60 minutes for check out, because they have tons of people waiting in lines and only two or three cashiers that are usually too old and thus too slow. This review is SPECIFICALLY for the tire and lube center. I spent a crapload buying tires. The tires weren't in stock so I had to go home, order them, pay up front, then they'll send them to said store. The employees here seem like morons! Already totally annoying. I bought all 4 tires at once. My car went in having 4 nice hubcaps/wheel covers. Pull out of the lot, BAM, lose one on the road, only to pull off and watch it get run over. Twenty minutes later, BAM, I lose another. I have 2 hubcaps out of 4 on a car I owe three more years of payments on. Classy! You bet I'm fighting for replacements! What's right is right! read more

I asked 2 other employee AND NONE OF THEM KNOW WHERE THE PHARMACY WAS. I do not know how employees that work at the place not know where the sections were.
