Curbside pickup is great idea but waiting for over 30 min to get the stuff is not fun. Walmart need to do better.

I was super distracted & when I loaded my groceries in my car & returned my cart to the cart stall I...gulp...left my backpack in the cart! I went home, unloaded my groceries & then realized I didn't have my bag. I quickly drove back to WalMart & went to Customer Service & the clerk told me that it hadn't been turned in. I was ready to cry. Then she said, "wait, let me check in the office." She came back smiling & had a manager with her that was carrying my backpack! Thank you, thank you for returning my backpack to me! I asked the manager who found it & he said he didn't know but that it was an employee. No one here knows how to do anything!! I spend at least $500 or more a week in this Walmart.. I wish I had somewhere else to go.. I buy cases of bananas all the time and yesterday they just refused to sell the to me because they couldn't figure out how to charge me for them.. There are never any lines open.. These people try avoid human interaction as much as possible.. If I didn't shop here for work I wouldn't shop at Walmart at all.. I live in another city by another Walmart which I order my groceries from and I woke up this morning and canceled my grocery order.. I just can stomach supporting such crappy customer service.. I have no idea how a company who cares nothing about the customer has grown to be so big.. Someone should do something about this.. read more

We never really frequented Wal-Mart (even when I lived literally across the street from one for 7 years), but for some reason it ended up being a weekly ritual for us. There's just so many locations in the Allen/Plano area and they happen to be pretty cheap compared to most grocery stores too. With that said, we do enjoy going to this location if we're not near the Lucas location, which is our favorite. It's pretty new, well organized, and clean (unlike other locations nearby - ahem, Plano). It tends to get busy on the weekends. What's good about this location is that it is located on the Central Expressway and it is close to many other shops and restaurants, such as Cracker Barrel, Jimmy Johns, RaceTrac gas station, and Einstein Bros Bagels. Overall, this is a good location to go to for your everyday items for the house as well as groceries. read more

Did our online order. Discovered we were missing three pounds of ground beef after getting home and putting away all the groceries. Tried to call multiple times and regardless of which extension NOBODY answered the phones. I've contacted corporate as well but will go back to driving across town to Lucas where they value our business. read more

This isn't my go-to Walmart but whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I always end up here for some reason. Parking always sucks, they have an okay selection with food and other items, but the staff seems all right so it's basically your typical Walmart experience. read more

Not close to my home but I needed to stop here on my way in from the office. I have been here several times prior to sharing my independent review. This store needs a transformation. I saw at least three managers throughout the store and they were friendly and I noticed they had stockers just about in each aisle to stock. I couldn't believe it because in the past they were usually out of many popular items but found them to always their Wal-Mart brands. At 12:30 pm on a Saturday,you would assume the managers would expect a large swath of customers. Given there were about 8 lanes open, self-checkout was too. Let's account for the fact, 3 lanes are dedicated to smaller hauls. It appeared there were some very seasoned,unfriendly employees as cashiers who could not scan a simple pack of chops very quickly. Constantly calling a manager for miniscule things if you ask me. These individuals need training and perhaps an overview to greet you and not act as if you are imposing on them. Quite Possibly they all have Carpal Tunnel or have not been trained to ring customers. This is annoying,please put efficient and knowledgeable cashiers on the register asap! If you have cashiers standing at lanes ringing 20 or less EMPTY go around get a customer out of the aisle and start ringing. Doesn't that make some sense??? The flow of traffic in parking lot and exiting bottlenecks. read more

Not really a fan of this location. They rarely have a full selection of in-season veggies and fruits that other Wal marts have. The aisles (at the end caps) are usually always cluttered with employees and their take-backs. When it first opened they did not honor WIC despite signage saying they did. Sometimes price matching can be a hassle. This Walmart is very hit or miss. read more

The person who commented on the parking is 100% correct; an idiot must have designed the layout because it feels like you are parking a mile away; awful! And some of the food is expired, not to mention they don't restock like the other stores. read more

This store is OK as far as merchandise. Personnel wise it needs improvement. The employees are clearly not prepared to handle customers questions. If you have a BATTERY is still under warranty, don't go there. They are completely unprepared to handle battery warranty even though they sell them. The customer Representative and the manager were clueless. They have a tester but they don't know how to use it or perhaps don't want to. As a result I had to buy a battery full priced when I could get it entirely for free due to my emergency, having a disable car in the parking lot. Very disappointing and totally preventable if Walmart gave employees a better training. Instead, always go to a Walmart with a auto center, they will have the competence to handle your warranty process without a hitch. Two stars were give because I haven't had any major issues there before this incident. It is always clean and well stocked. read more

This review is for the grocery pickup! I pretty much only shop at Walmart now due to the convenience and LOVE the app. Min of $30 order. Some days I can pick up same day but usually it the next day. I've been here many times since the Allen store opened. I love the nice wide aisles. I buy most of my groceries here. The workers are nice. And the checkers are not only nice but they still don't heavy stuff on the soft stuff! Thank goodness for that. I hate going to a store that puts stuff on top of my bread and tomatoes. WalMart has never done that to me (I hope I didn't just jinx myself). The only thing that disappoints me is the missing automotive, DIY, and garden sections. Well, the garden section is there but almost non-existent with only a few (and I do mean a few) varieties of popular plants. But there are others within my driving distance if I need those things. and In-N-Out is on my home...... read more

This is a newer Walmart location and has more of that "green" feel to it. Most of the time they have what I need in stock and the wait time for the lines is not too bad except around peak hours. I've noticed that sometimes they'll be out of stock on certain sodas and I can't always find Motts for Tots apple juice there...maybe due to the arsenic content concern going on in the news right now. read more

No where near the house, but it's new, clean and HUGE. Nice wide isles and stocked with everything you could ever need. I'll dock them a star since I had to wait for the STORE MANAGER to finish his business in the Family restroom so I could change my son's diaper. No, he didn't apologize. read more

Manager Faron was awesome and helpful there was no one at the cake department he came over to write Happy Birthday on my pops ice cream cake after waiting for more than 10 mins. He took good care of me was very nice. I recommend the ice cream cake with the white frosting it's super delicious the other cake with cookie crumbs around is just ice cream the other one does have both ice cream and actually cake. read more

Are you in a hurry and just need to grab a few things? Maybe had a long day and have to stop on the way home? DO NOT STOP HERE. I just moved to the area. Went to purchase a TV I saw on special. Couldn't find said model on the shelf,but did spot one on the wall. Asked a sales associate if they had any inventory in the back. She check and said no and that the particular model was discontinued to which I responded asking if I could purchase the floor model. She said they don't sell floor models. There is absolutely no sense of urgency in ANYONE working at this location. I just moved here, and they just lost a customer. read more

I had the worst custemer service experience today. I wanted toreturn 30 dollRs of underwear so i had boughten 3 packs one still had the pakaging the other two didnt. A employe in custermer service demanded the packing even the two that were missing the pakaging inly came withhangers.i had ans she insistead on sending my 9yrd son to go look for the same item with pakaging from the shelves in store replacing an employe. And when i asmedher you should send an employe instead she said that we didnt have and employes available. And she continued that i should brought the pakaging that at the end was a hanger.i was under the impression thatwalmarr was the first store that returns productes with no questions asked apprantley thats not true.and btw the prodects were bought 2 days ago complete and nothing is mising. This store should get zero stars. I generally don't have high expectations for any Walmart. However, this store is worse than even my lowest Walmart standards. No one ever answers the phone at this store..... in any department. Normally I would not care. Again, low expectations. This is the first time in my life that I have had a need to speak to a manager at Walmart and it is apparently not possible. I assume this is either by design or maybe no one is managing this store? They need a visit from corporate headquarters. At a minimum, it should be possible to reach a live person by phone at the store at some point during the day. If you call multiple times through out the day and no one ever answers any phone in any department, there is a management problem. If no one answers any phones and there is no voicemail, why do they have a store department phone menu? Perhaps this is what happens when big companies think they can replace people with machines. read more

Dirty store. The grocery side is good, the pharmacy and optical departments are amazing! However the store side is very dirty, especially the floors in the clothing departments. I paid cash for an item I'm electronics and the department manager didn't realize he didn't give me my change back because he spent a lot of time fixing on his cell phone. read more

Walmarts in general are never fun to go to but sometimes you just have to go. This location was less painful than many of the others, but that changed today. As much as I dislike self check out, they hire so few people to work check out it is the quickest way to get out of the store. However they now evidently believe all their customers are thieves. I was stopped at the exit where I had to show my receipt and my purchases were checked. If you are going to minimize personell and push self check out - find some other way of doing security. I do not appreciate being confronted and I will not be back to this location. read more

Nothing but problems here. Had an entire cart full and was 11pm and they made me do all the self check out on my own . Took me an hour to get everything scanned and bagged . Then the next week I had filled up a cart and started on a 2nd and they said they would watch my 1st one while I shopped more and went back when ready to check out and they had unloaded my 1st cart already . Asked why they would do that and they just looked at me like idiots and said "I have no idea". No apology and no help. That store could have been robbed and the workers wouldn't have cared a lick. I was pretty upset the other day when I bought their viso blueray on sale for 88 bucks.. Only to bring it home and have it not work. About a week later I got around to bringing it back, only to have the lady tell me she wouldn't take it back w/o the receipt. (I was pretty surprised whereas I never had a problem at Walmart before) (I returned it In the exact condition and box I got it in)...Needless to say. How to you build a new(er) Walmart and not included an Automotive (lube n tune) area and a garden center? What in the world?!! Points for being clean and the buggys are never squeaky and wobbly. The aisles are wide and nice. I like how the cosmetic/hair/oral health items are close to the market area but they are at a weird angle. Another plus is it is rarely ridiculously crowded here and you can usually be in a two person line at most to check out all times of the day. read more

I really have to check the expiration dates on food items at this location. Multiple times I've made it all the way home only to discover the item expired that day. They do let you bring the items back no questions asked. So that's good. read more

Getting help here is an absolute joke. Stood in a department for a total of 40 minutes waiting to get help. I asked two different employees from two different departments if they could help me, and one was able to find me the employee working the department I needed help in, waved at him he made eye contact and walked into the employees only area. I then called the store to see if I could speak to a manager and stayed on hold for almost 15 minutes where I didn't believe I was transferred to somebody who was from what I understand at home. Gave her an explanation of what was going on, she assured me so mom would be there to help, waited another 15 minutes and then decided to leave what I have already picked up and go spend my money somewhere else. So the advantage of Walmart is you save money but you get treated like shit. I think I would rather spend a little extra money and actually be treated like somebody cares about what I need and what I'm going after. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is had this type of experience. As of lately every time I walk in to any Walmart my stomach goes to knots because I'm worried but I will be treated like crap. Between the employees Who don't give a damn about the customers to the fact that there's 20+ lanes and only two seem to be open. Not to mention you go to find an item and stuff from other parts of the store is sitting where your item should be. Every knows some walmarts can be bad. But this is by far the worst walmart ever. 95% of the time no employees can be found and when they are, no a word of English. Horrible, I went her the other day and asked to speak with a manager because the wax warmer gift 3 piece set one broken piece and I wanted to see if I could order another one. She was busy with someone else helping with a tax exemption. Ok thats fine I can wait, she apologized several times not necessary but appreciated. She told the woman she was all said and done and good to go. She asked me what my issue was and said more than likely we are going to have to claim it and you won't get anything in the box. She then looked at the regular associate Adreamer, who could not help me and asked her a question about it. She then told me she had to finish helping the same women she sent off. I see her walk off and over to what I believe is thier front room, I waited 8 minutes, and I left. One thing that was particually annoying is that I spent all that time waiting for a manager when one came down and said he was on lunch and as I am walking away because I don't know why its so hard to help me I see the store manager and a group of what appears to be managers all standing around a $1 coloring book display discussing the store. I was actually impressed with this Walmart, and I am typically not a huge fan. The bf needed some cheap boots, so we came here around 9pm on a Sunday night. I also needed to pick up groceries for the week, which I usually do elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of produce in stock on a Sunday evening. Kroger has often been picked over when I finally get to grocery shopping at the very end of the weekend. Walmart had everything I needed and it all looked fresh. And bf got the boots! read more

If you shop here DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD OR CREDIT CARD. I made a return and the credit was back on my card. 1 day later it showed up as a debit. When I went to the store it took 2 HOURS just for the manager to show her face after sending a csm back and forth delivering messages. When she finally came out she was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. She spoke to me as if it's my fault the store workers aren't capable of handling a simple return. Asking me for a printed copy of my bank statement when I was standing there with an online banking transaction. I guess she also assumed I wasn't going to contact corporate or post on yelp and other social media outlets but I have. KIM needs to go thru training again or just take her smock away because she clearly doesn't know how to deal with the public. She's extremely lucky I wasn't in the mood to toss her on the floor because her mouth deserved it. They've lost a customer. I have to admit, I like to save money and shopping at walmart saves me quiet a bit, especially when the week before I brought this basketball dunk [for kids] at another retail chain for $10 more than what Walmart was selling it for. As far as this particular location, they have a good mix of people, unlike some of the other Walmarts, it's not filled with ghetto people... but at the end of the day, it's Walmart, so take it for what it is. I do think that their door greeter who appears to have been with them for a while [an anomaly for WM since people come and go] has always been very pleasant. I mean, I actually think this person genuinely care about his job and says hello and have a good day to everyone like he means it, so kudos that that employee! read more
